Recover data block

To do ETL, I truncate tables, then insert directly the data every day. Direct use only the new blocks.

Delete or truncate operation reclaim block which can be used by direct insertion?

Truncated, the default resets the leash of the high water and releases storage allocated back to Oracle to be reused.

See the doc of SQL language

TRUNCATE TABLE

Use of the TRUNCATE TABLE statement to remove all rows from a table. By default, Oracle database also performs the following tasks:

  • Free all space used by the deleted lines except that specified by the MINEXTENTS parameter storage
  • Sets the NEXT parameter of storage to the size of the last extent removed from the segment by the truncation process

If you reload the table with about the same amount of data each day (for example the daily charges), you generally use the REUSE STORAGE clause. Which improves performance because Oracle does not release allocated space, but reuses for the new charge.

Specify reuse STORAGE REUSE STORAGE to keep the amount of space between the deleted rows allocated to the table. Storage values are not reset to the values when the table or cluster was created. This space can subsequently by the new data in the table or cluster resulting from insert or update operations. This clause leaves storage parameters at their current settings.

    Hi all

    OraDB 11.2.0.1

Today, we just met this error in oue PROD db. It is the first time that we have achieved this.
Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01578: ORACLE data block corrupted (file #
    5, block # 136230)
    ORA-01110: data file 5: 'C:\ORACLE\ORADATA\ORAJVB7\DATATS01.DBF'

My boss ask you what are the usual cause of this issue.
I just said, fluctuations in the power supply and the drive is already old and fragile.
    It presents a valid explanation?

How do you handle this issue?

I just thought that 11.2.0.1 is now the high-tech modern database and it has a utility to repair the damaged data. Something like fix DBMS exec (Corrupt block). And presto! corruption will be gone.
Why is that the process is still primitive :(

Corruption would be gone on that the storage on which the Oracle block is sitting, would be free of him. If you have a defective material, can not expect Oracle to heal for you, right?

  • Corrupted ORACLE data block

    Hello
What can cause a block of data that is corrupted in the SYSAUX01. Data DBF file?

ORA-01578: ORACLE data block corrupted (file # ORA - 01578: ORACLE data block corrupted (file # 2, block # 98776))
    ORA-01110: data file 2: ' D:\ORADATA\DWHGROUP\SYSAUX01. DBF'
ORA-26040: data block has been loaded using the NOLOGGING option
    (*, block #) *.

    What my options?
It is possible to use for the SYSAUX DBMS_REPAIR?

    Hello

    This problem comes if
    (1) you open your database from backup
    (2) you restore your primary backup database.

    This problem is caused by
    (1) that you have completed your table / index with the nologging option.

    Option you have
    (1) check if you have the main database in place. If so rebuild the object with the logging option (the best option)
    (2) If you do not have primary database and then check what is corrupt table or index. If index rebuild and table then more information would be necessary, and also, this does not guarantee that you would be able to recover.

  • problems after upgrading firefox. reset this is ugly. created the new profile, but can not recover data from old profile.

I use firefox on a MacBook pro. Mac OS X version 10.7.5. There was an update of firefox on a day or 2 ago. Since this was done, I was getting 'syntax error' 5 times, each time that a page has been loaded. Some research has suggested that an application or a plug-in called "social fixer" might be the problem but I could not understand how to get rid of it so decided to try to reset Firefox. Minutes passed and a message was on the screen saying the old files of firefox have been been "cleaned" or something, but it seems to be 'stuck' because the progress bar was little jerky. Doesn't it usually doesn't. So I clicked on "Cancel". After that, I couldn't even firefox to start. Looks like my profile is unavailable or inaccessible. Following the instructions found on the support site, I created a new profile and I thought I copied the files from the previous firefox on the new profile, but when I run firefox, it's a blank slate. None of my bookmarks or passwords are there. It must be here somewhere, but I can't seem to understand.

Looks like there was a problem with updating the profiles.ini file.

You can try to remove the current profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile where Firefox has not done that.
You can check if there is a profile folder with a number of attached time stamp and in this case, you can set the location of a profile created in this folder.

If you need to recover data from an older profile, always in the default location, or as a folder of old data of Firefox on the desktop then see:

    Pleas Help

The most common cause for the mistakes of "Bad Checksum" is the CMOS battery on the motherboard failure.
The battery may be empty or could have been dead. But it's really not easy to say exactly what's wrong!

Therefore, I recommend first to access the BIOS and set it to default settings. Don t forget to save the changes.
More you must connect to the AC adapter and should leave it plugged during on 24 hours to recharge the battery CMOS.

Maybe it helps to get rid of this error message.
If it doesn't help, then you should contact a technician for laptop!

  • Satellite P200-1EE Possible to recover data on the HARD drive by placing it in an envelope?

P200-1EE does not start after 2 weeks off is the case during a fan installation. Is it possible to remove the hard drive, put it in an enclosure and retrieve the data it contains on another PC? Or can anyone recommend how to recover data from the comfort of my own home?

    Thanks for your help

I would say that your installation of fan caused this problem in the first place. I would check your installation for loose connectors, cards not seated properly, no fan or heatsinks screws tight etc..

Everything you did everything by installing the new fan plugged the laptop. The hard disk, in my opinion, is perfectly fine. There is nothing wrong with it.

Put the suspect hard drive in an enclosed and try to access the data on another PC. You will encounter problems with administrator access to certain folders so you will need to find a way to crack in these areas.

If you had problems in the first place you probably should have this return to the place of purchase for them to watch.

I hope that for your sake you have not turned into a frisbee.

    Good luck.

  • Blue Screen on Satellite P100 - need to recover data

Putting on my laptop yesterday, I was faced with a blue screen error message that even after running chkdisk keeps appearing, even on reboot in safe mode.

The problem is I only have the Toshiba recovery disks (not a disc XP - XP was preinstalled on your laptop) and they say on them using the wipe recovery disk computer and I need to recover data on the hard drive before reformatting.

I took the laptop to the local repair center and they say they have to reformat and do not make data recovery.

    Any suggestions gratefully received.

    Hello

In my opinion, there are two solutions. Is, try to get the facilities WXP CD and see if you can fix it using the option to repair Windows XP Home edition or use supplied recovery media and do a clean install of the operating system. After doing this you will put factory once again and everything will be OK again.

  • Recovering data from a Time Machine to an external drive backup

How to recover data from a backup Time Machine to an external drive?

I use Time Machine to back up data (photos, videos) on an external drive (drive A) to another external drive (drive/B) separate that I use for Time Machine backups. After performing a backup, the external drive (drive A) appears in TimeMachine and can I recover files that are on the external drive (A) just as I can for the files that are found on the internal hard drive.

I need to know what to do if I drop my external drive (drive A) completely and you want to recover the Time Machine backup on a new replacement drive?  When I disconnect my external drive (A) and enter the Time Machine, I don't find a way to access the files to recover.  Still... I know they are there!

Using the Time Machine application in your Applications folder. Please visit Time Machine FAQ of Pondini for using Time Machine.

I have reset to factory settings.

Is it possible to recover data that has been delivered to? (Documents)
    Thank you!

    Hello

If you did as you say a new facility (factory settings) then all previous DATA from the previous installation will be deleted and disappeared forever.  But you have nothing to lose, you can read this article of EaseUS and see how you go.

  • Recovering data from hard drives of laptop data

    1. laptop computer work with a hard drive to work (I know that this is the case if you insert the disc of the laptop, it works, it loads windows xp, you can use the laptop according to the normal without errors / problems etc.)

We have a disk external drive kit (again I know works as I use to connect to a multitude of other hard drives via the USB port of a desktop PC) and I have another kit to different hard drive for the first USB SATA hard drive recovery kit and it does the same thing when you try to access the data on the hard drive for laptops

If I connect the laptop hard drive to my desktop PC it won't appear in my computer even if you right-click my computer--> manage--> disk management

The drive appears here as not initialized and will fail if you try to initialize the disk indicating there CRC errors and it will not assign a drive letter.

Is there a quick way to access the data on the disk?

As much as I know readers are not encrypted as when loading after the bios POST, you get not all blue / violet loading gauges, this is Windows XP SP 3 so do not use bit locker or something like that.

What should I do to get access to data as quickly as possible without making too many steps or waiting for utils recovering data, etc..

Also, what do Lenovo for the drives causing headaches as much?

Am confused with your part external kits...

In any case, I assume you have a computer laptop lenovo work and office work. You try to connect lenovo's HARD drive in a USB drive kit and extract data from the desktop.

    (1) is the disc encrpted HARD lenovo? Check the Bios and also if lenovo security software are installed.

    (2) the fastest way I'm doing it today is to connect laptops and office to a network. Share the disk, and then extract the data from the laptop or desktop. A second option is remote laptop and retrieves the data.

    (3) another possibility is that your laptop is XP, IE the formatting isn't AHCI (check the bios under sata), it is in compatibility mode. The Office use Vista or Windows 7?

  • I am recovering data from 720 KB diskettes.

About 14 years ago I saved about 150 paint files (all illustrations) on 25 Dysan double face, double pre-formatted density 720 KB 3-1/2 "floppy disks.  I am their opening and copy of Windows XP.  Everything works fine, except for two 2 discs.  The program tells me that the disks are not formatted, and I want to format it now?  I said 'no' because I didn't want to erase all data.  It does the same thing at first to a single disc, which later, I was able to copy.  Do anyone knows how I can get back safely the work of these 2 diskettes, or I won't be able to recover this data?  Thanks for any help that anyone can provide.

I used it to recover data from some pretty bad removable media:
