If you need more details, we can put any storage array profile output.

    Hello UtkinE,

Yes, you will need to stop all iSCSI traffic so that you can update the NVSRAM.  With the timeout error you get all came from controller 1 & he had only discs 1 & 5.  The current version of NVSRAM you version 4 and the last one which is for the MD3000i is version 13.  With who have older firmware it was improvements to correct your problem in the latest versions of firmware.  I also had one of our analysts will confirm as well just to make sure that it is the best fix for your problem.

    Hello Latif,

You can access the management on controller 0 port?  Or are you able to ping to the IP address for controller 0?  What happens is that as you try to create the virtual drive, it attempts to assign to controller 0 but it is not able to communicate the slot0 management controller will is why you get the error.

    Hello, Pondule.

Honestly, from the surface, he looks and sounds like some simple firmware accumulated errors and an update can fix this. Usually, I see when there is "pilot destination error" and the location of the components is 'none '. BUT, I would like to take a deeper look and check that. I sent you an email and I'll wait for the bundle full support.

Let me know if you have any questions. Impatience on your part.

  • Disc circumvented State and SAA 'no '.

We use MD3220 das, configured and managed using MDSM Powervault.  The physical disks to slot 8,9,10 and disk 11forms Group 3 in a RAID 10 configuration. Recently in slot 10 the failed physical drive and at the same time disc 11 became "bypassed". Global hot spare to crack 20 is now used which did not spare the disc around to 11 (as seen in the recovery guru). Disk group status is "degraded". Physical disk 10 ASA is 'Yes' and 11 is 'no '. At this point, we have replaced the disc at 10 and it became possible after some time and disk group status became also optimal, but bypassed disk (11) remained in this State. Now 10 is a pair in global mirror with 20 (relief) and 20 is always showing of saving to disk at 11. Is it safe to replace 11 (bypassed disk)? The Service action (abduction) allowed 11 disk State is always 'No' which is confusing.  Help, please. Fixing a few screenshots that might help.

    Hello rejishkr,

You can replace the disc in the slot 11 as since it is bypassed it was taken offline.  When you replace the disc if you still get the error bypassed then we will need to get a bundle of your MD support so that we can look at the errors & see what is causing the reader to be bypassed.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

  • MD3000 Raid Controller Module memory parity error

MD3000 has two controllers. One of the controller does not have. SO I replaced it with a used controller, without work. All errors are gone, except a "RAID Controller Module memory consistency error".

Recovery Guru recommends steps that I followed without success.

    Need help in this forum.

    Paul

    Hello Paul,

What you need to do is on the replacement controller to pull the raid battery and wait about 2 minutes then reinsert it again. Also I want to try to do is to Flash the firmware on the system as well.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

  • MD3000i individual physical disk - gradient path

Recently, we have replaced a failing in our MD3000i HARD drive. After letting it rebuild, all the disks are again in an optimal state. But the recovery guru still gives this error:

Individual physical disk - gradient path
    Gradient of physical disk paths:
    Channel: 0
    Physical disks: (unknown)

Can I support safely on "Check again", or what would be the procedure I should follow to get rid of this error?

    Hello Diss,

Since you say that when you look in MDSM all readers are also optimal then you should be able to do a recheck out the recovery guru & have it checked to confirm that all the drives are online & optimal.  If after you run the recheck if the cottage no matter what drive as still having problems, then what I would do is to recheck MDSM & confirm that the drive displayed as failed.  The error normally clears once a car has been replaced but in some cases I see need to run check again to clear the error recovery guru.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

  • MD3200i locked after change of all hard drives

Our company has a new MD3200i with two 600 GB drives. I had updated firmware and NVSRAM to the latest version. We had these two disks in RAID 1 mode. This week we have other records of 12-2 to, so I took the two drives and installed 12 new readers. After you have installed the new drives, the table lost the connection with the Storage Manager software. After that I reload the table, I can connect with the IP address of management, but it shows unknown Storage Array and status showing requires Attention. When I try to start 'Manage Bay storage', I got is recovery Guru window showing the Bay of storage in Recovery Mode. I tried to quite the recovery by command line Mode, but it shows following message:

"Could not execute the command. The RAID controller module is currently in locked mode, because the RAID controller module firmware version does not match the version expected by the database of configuration of the storage array. Available commands include:

    Show storageArray beyond; or

Download the storageArray = filename [downgrade = true/false] firmware file; »

I need help to solve this problem. Maybe I need to erase the configuration database, but I don't know how.

I thank very you much for any help.

I called Dell technical support this morning and solved the problem in console in and reset the controller. Thank you!

  • C855-1VT satellite - cannot start media recovery disk

    Hello

I have the laptop above that was dumped on its edge causing the hard drive to the jam and fail.
This means no access to the system recovery, so I ordered arvato shop Toshibas Recovery Media recovery media.

I installed a new HARD drive has slipped into the recovery disc and boom, no bootable media insert system disk.

I tried the disc on other laptops, same thing, with no bootable media, but back to arvato who kindly sent me disks replacement... you guessed it... exactly the same thing so I put in my windows 7 install cd and it read the disc properly.

Arvato said they asked toshiba to check the image which they did and found no errors, but the stock of arvato could be faulty, I thought. in any case, they offered a refund which doesn't really help.

I may be missing something so this post hoping tosh guru of you might be able to help :)

    Thanks in advance,

    Night...

    Hello

Maybe the image is OK, but the CD/DVD drive cannot read the disc of Arvato.
What you could do is to copy this recovery disk to another disk using another computer.
Then you could try to start the device using the new disc copied.
    May be worth a try.

In addition, you can try after workaround:
Go to BIOS and check secure boot settings and the boot mode.
What are the settings appear in the BIOS?

I m application because you said you could boot from Win 7 disk, in this case secure boot must be disabled and the boot mode must be set between UEFI and MSC mode.

In case you want to install Win 8 secure boot must be enabled a UEFI should be used

  • 10 - no recovery Windows?

Then, when I bought my Hp Pavilion n005sp, it came with Windows 8. I installed Windows 10 Technical Preview, but I want to come back to the original Windows 8 I had, with all the drivers and the software of HP (now disappeared).

I still have this on my hp recovery disk partition:

    If it has been damaged?

Whenever I try to restore, I can't find anywhere "Hp Recovery". Is there another way to go back as it was with Windows 8, though even I installed Windows 10 preview? Thank you.

Yes, your recovery partition is there but you broke the link itself. I don't know how else to restore it except one of the guru here sounds in.

You could use a regular copy of Windows 8 and install it you have the disc, but you will need to install the drivers for your computer model also. The key to 8 is integrated into the bios now so he has yet to win without having to enter.

Here is a link to a download of 8 what someone else here posted earlier. This isn't about me or direct link from Microsoft. Its an option if you don't want to order the recovery disks.

You can use ImgBurn to create iso disc.

    Hey Sndietzel,

Thank you for being a part of the communities of Apple Support.

I understand your message you are trying to boot a MacBook (2008) for OS X Internet Recovery but it is not successful.  This happens because this year and model of Mac does not support the OS X Internet Recovery:

Computers that can be upgraded to use OS X Internet Recovery

What version of Mac OS X is currently installed? In the menu bar select  > what the Mac and you should see the version of OS X installed.  If she has OS X 10.6.8 or more, then there is no OS X Recovery, and you will need the installation disk OS X, or the disc that came with the computer to erase the disk and reinstall OS X. You will need to insert the disc while the Mac is turned on, and then restart while holding the C key to boot the disk.

    Take care.
