  I have a big red error and "unable to open file C:\RECOVERY. DAT" when I try to start my Windows Vista (Windows Recovery Environment) restore Partition on my old Asus F3E (I can start the Vista operating system without problems, but not the recovery partition).»

  I read this and other messages that suggest to use the F8 key to access the Advanced Boot Options menu and select "repair your computer".

  My problems are:

  * My Vista Business doen't have an option to "Create a system repair disc" and I don't have such a drive.

  * On the Advanced Boot Options 'Repair your computer' is not listed as an option, so I can't access "System Recovery Options", I guess that's not present in my system.

  * bootsect.exe is not present on my system.

  (1) where can I get a "System repair disc" disc (trust)? I have another pc with Windows 7. Is it the same if I create a disc repair system there and I use it with Vista?

  (2) where I can get the bootsect.exe tool? It boasts such a disk or what?

  (3) bootsect/nt60 ALL if applies also in my case, fix the trunk of my Vista recovery environment? What happens if I try bootsect/nt60 D: where D: is the drive letter of the recovery partition which I can come up with tools such as ext2fsd? What happens if I use the option "Startup Repair" if I can get a system repair disc?

  When I run the query "Quantum Data Update Installer" in the competitor Manager demand never get updates on 'done '.   If the update process proceeded, one of the first steps (after saving) must wipe the BB of all data and all... which means that there is nothing to recover. Your tech has now learned what it is from the latter at the old of this old statement IT:

  • There are two types of device of calculation... users those who have lost data and those who will do so.

  Backups are simply not as an option. I heard no service (free or paid) that could retrieve data from a BB that comes with living what you describe.

• HP Pavilion Entertainment PC: Can I use HP Recovery Manager Data Backup If my hard drive broke down?

  I am running Diagnostics on my PC. I don't know if my hard drive is completely broke down, or if my hard drive has a formatting error. I'm currently back up all my data using HP Recovery Manager, because I may decided to restore my computer to its factory settings to correct I hope than the hard drive. My question is: if I can run HP Recovery Manager and data Back, it means that my hard drive is not broken?

  Let me welcome you on the HP forums!
  
  I read your post about your hard drive problem and wanted to help.

  Let's start by defining some terms.

  When a disk 'crashed', it means a hardware failure, such that the disk cannot be read. You can not write on the disc or read him.  It can only be repaired by this disassembly and replacement of parts.  This must be done in a clean room environment and the cost to do that starts at $1000 USD.

  When a disc has "failed", this could mean practically anything.  In some cases, this means that the file system is damaged.  This may be due to the closure of the PC in the middle of a write operation, as when all of a sudden, you turn off your PC.  This can also be due to hardware problems as for lack of sectors.  In both cases, the drive is probably still usable, but in the second case, it won't be for long.

  So if HP Recovery runs, then it is not 'crashed', but he could have 'failed' - and in the latter case, if she fails to sectors, replace faster you it, the better.

  I have a confusion in VI that I joined. I want to import the data that I had had in myRIO. So I created a variable shared for factor of voltage, current, power. When I start excel VI the current value is updated as a ZERO in the excel worksheet.

  The other question is, whenever I run the final VI of the voltage and current values are continuously updated, when I stop the VI power factor values is updated. I first thought the reason behind this is the power factor is placed on everything in loop.even when I removed the while loop, the power factor value is displayed a zero and the same continuous continuous when I stopped the VI.   The answer to your question as to why the updates of the power factor is only once because you have placed this flag outside the while loop (as you mentioned). The solution is not to remove the while loop, but put all the code you want to be updated / repeated several times in a single while loop, i.e.., if you want that all the calculations of factor of power and the parameters (P, Q, S, phi) to implement also each time and connected every time put it inside the while loop.

  Another thing, is the inappropriate use of shared variables. It must be very careful in implementing the same.

  From a timing perspective, you have several things that will affect your calendar data. Both you in loops have a wait (50) in them. This means that you will not be able to time anything with a resolution less than 50 milliseconds. You are also dealing with 3 UDP sessions within a single loop. The treatment of this loop will always be blocked by the slower session. All code in a loop must be completed before it can go to the next iteration. If these sessions are independent, each should be in its own loop. What specifically do you want in time? What you want to display? If you want to display the raw data sent/received the user interface code must be in a separate loop because updates to the user interface would influence also in a significant way the performance of your temporal measures.

The notes say that it applies to Windows 7 computers and the Pavilion dm1 and dm3. There is no mention of the dm4.

  Y at - there a trick to getting sp45415 to work properly?

  If you have uninstalled Recovery Manager he probably removed the recovery of files in the recovery partition. When these files are not deleted download Recovery Manager will install. You will need a recovery media to boot from to restore the files and the recovery partition. If you do not have a recovery media you order from HP.

  As for the files you are trying to restore - if it's a backup of personal files, photos, etc. to the outside hard disk or DVD must be a file .exe inside these files, probably of Restore.exe or Recover.exe. Double click on the .exe will extract files to a folder on the hard drive of your laptop.

  In any case, I made the fatal mistake assuming that Vista has the same functionality of XP restore/recovery and would simply repair the file system not complete format/reinstall. Within two seconds, I realized that it was reformatting the drive and disconnected from the computer (because you can't give up a recovery).

  Now, of course, the player starts not at all and displays "No MBR".  I removed the disk and put it in an external USB box to see the content. It only shows a new Windows and a few other folders with one or two files system in them.

  Anyway, I know that all the old data has been not overwritten in 2 seconds, if it is still there. Not to mention, HP no longer ships of installation disks of Windows and preload in place of the images in a separate partition. I need to recover this option to re - install Vista, in the worst case scenario.

  So, I need/file recovery at least get software partition all my data. There are a hundred apps out there, and it is difficult to tell which are the best (they are quite expensive). I can't find any reputable sites that do an actual test on the Soft full - for example, C/Net only tests the features of the limited demo version.

  At the very least, I would like to recover my lost data on an external drive, then recover if possible, the installation of Vista partition and do a clean install on the disk.

  Are there apps free open source reliable and easy to use? So far, I am considering

  Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1^st in the boot order.

  Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

  When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

  Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

  Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

  Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

  Hi everyone I have a question.  I'll send this to the Japan and currently using Blackberry Curve.  The other day I noticed there was a notification update for BBM so I downloaded any for BBM.  And later, I discovered that I had a newer version (not sure) BBM and came with the BBM voice.  On my friends list, I only have my husband living in the United States, and when he saw my recent activity, he thought that I have a new friend in my friends list and I tried to invite this person voice BBM to discuss.  As I've mentioned before, my husband is the only person on my list, so I invite anyone, but on his phone, he sounded like he appeared like that.  He believes that I sent the voice BBM invite someone.  He also said that later, when he checked my list of activity, the invitation was missing, so he thinks that I removed it to hide from him.  Imagine all these things that he told me and I had no idea.  In any case, I want to know if there is anyway I can find out how to check the last date of download BBM to prove that I invite anyone, but I downloaded this day here.  Also, if anyone has an idea why its BBM, it appeared, I asked someone, let me know, too.  Or suggestions will be much appreciated!

  Voice call is a function allowing the BBM user establish a voice call on a WiFi ONLY with BBM contacts out there, you can make a voice call only to those who are in your BBM Contacts.

  As you mentioned that you have only ONE contact in your list of contacts i BBM; e your husband in this situation, it is not possible to place a call on any unknown, unless it is already in your contacts list. But... It's only you who know your contacts list or to confirm.
