  It must be an .exe file in the folder on the flash drive to restore the files. Not sure what the name of it is, Restore.exe, Recovery.exe... If you do not see file extensions, go to control panel, folder options, and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types". Locate the flash drive for the .exe file. Click on it to run it and it must extract the files to a folder on the laptop.

  I had a complete picture of software on my old desktop that came with the computer called "Phoenix Firstware Recovery Pro 2004". This program has been fabulous! He saved BOTH OF TIME. It's a hard disk recovery program that you can do a restore point whenever you want, as much as you want. It is similar to the Windows restore, but it affects all of the C drive. If problems occur, it brings back your computer to this day & time in time. It restarts the computer at this point good & all returns at the point of return. I had my computer that had started not even Windows from the BIOS come right to the top. You can access the program by pressing the key F4 to the BIOS & restore all restore points, you did. NOW, remember that anything after this point is gone for good, (eg. photos, music files, documents, programs, changes to anything.) So, we must remember what has done or changed since restore point & redo them. But it is worth gold to get this computer up without the need to restore to the day you bought your computer & reload everything back in.

  I tried retrack Phoenix Firstware & can not find someone who knows what I'm talking about. I do not know if their doing even this GOLD one program similar to Windows 10. What I was looking for is a similar program for my new laptop HP Notebook. Anyone got any useful information the same day or a similar program that works just as well, if not better.

  @RobertMcD: Sorry no one not returned to you before that...

  But, what you need is a third-party imaging/restoration program known as Macrium reflect (MR).  This provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

  What I recommend is the following:
  (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
  (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
  (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

  NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

  I've used this for years, since Acronis True Image failed me when I needed it the most need.  I have restored the machines repeatedly with it, and now the free version includes the ability to install a start function of recovery on your hard drive that you can do a restore without having to use DVD or USB.

  Contact Dell and order a set of recovery disc for your computer.  They give them at minimal cost.  No, there is nowhere to download the set of recovery disks, nor the recovery partition files.

  I have an A350 satellite that came with a Windows 7 upgrade offer that I intend to use. I created recovery disks, but I guess that these only restore an image of the Vista partition and not be able to install all programs accompanying the A350 such as Ulead DVD MovieFactory for TOSHIBA and a TOSHIBA DVD player, is this correct? I believe that I can download Vista 32 and 64-bit drivers from the Toshiba web site and utilities system and these should be OK for Windows 7, maybe around the release date of the versions of Windows 7 for Windows 7 can be made available.

  Hi mate

  Well, the Toshiba Recovery disk contains the image, and that image contains the OS, drivers, tools and utilities
  Usually using this disk, you'd be abele to give the laptop to factory settings to the same State as on the first day of purchase

  So if you didn't receive extra on the disc that contains the Ulead DVD Movie Factory or another applications that software should be a part of the image.

  Notes; your HARD drive will be formatted using the recovery disk all would be erased as the partitions on the HARD disk.

Removed uninstalled from my system.  Tried 3 different restore point dates back to the 27/09/2015.  None worked. Can't use my program of recovery restore point!

I thought that AOL Sys.Mech done something in the registry that messed with the start of Microsoft Office 2010 (can't find a more free?) but why we don't joke about my restore points?  I can't restore anything from my computer.  I don't know if something's going to come to work anymore.   I understand that you are not able to use restore points, and that you are having problems with a certain software factory installed on your HP System. I'm happy to help you with this.

  As a first step, you can try using the Recovery Manager and see if the software is among those available from your original image to install instead of a full factory image installation. See the following document that shows how to do this.

  If you created your set of recovery DVDs, you to reinstall the operating system and software partitions all original - this procedure is described in the document of HP here.

  I do not know if I understand your question completely, but let me answer what I think that you have requested.

  The Windows System Restore will restore your Windows settings (drivers, registry, etc.) to a previous state (note it does not affect your user data).

  Smart restore or a system restore that is started before Windows starts, usually accessible from disk or a boot partition, an OEM recovery option.  It will usually restore your PC to factory without saving the data, depending on the OEM recovery options.  For assistance with this type of option recovery\restore, you will need to check with the manufacturer of PC.
