Hello

Restart or stop a service is considered a failure, that's the reason for which the script will not work.

I suggest you to send your request in the TechNet forums for assistance. Click on the link below.

  • problems of corrupted recovery regsutry for Windows XP on the system restore

Hello. Had a spyware (Trojan) killed by the virus cleaner, but on reboot, it gave me a famous lsass.exe error on an application that could not be deleted. At and read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545 but when tried to start the recovery from the Windows XP CD, the "copy c:\windows\repair\system c:\windows\system32\config\system" command did not work. Eventually managed to load the system from the CD, but then couldn't get part 2 (after the reboot safe mode) that the administrator password has been amended. I ran NT Password and registry Bootdisk from USB to remove the password of administrator but when tried to get back to the recovery console from the CD-ROM Windows XP, the computer turns off just before I have the option "R"-to start the recovery console. "" When I do not use the CD and try to turn on in a safe mode, it gives the BSOD. How do to so corrupted registry I can't system restore and recovery console?

  • Recovery DVDs for Windows 7 on the PXI-8119

    I have a PXI-8119 supplied with a Windows 7 recovery disk.

First of all, I would like to thank OR to still ship recovery DVD. Manufaturers many insist that you perform other tasks such as executing a "Recovery Wizard" or perform a download of the image that can be downloaded to the device, it is destined for that you must have a network connection to the device.

To use the recovery disk, I need to have a usb dvd player.  A key USB DVD is much rarer to have put around the laboratory verses a USB key.

He NEITHER has a utility that would turn the disc provided on a bootable USB key bootable DVD?

Of course, I can do it myself by downloading several utilities out there, but the paperwork to get these 'free' tools approved for use can be very heavy. I would rather use a tool of OR where we already have a contract of service and approved licences.

Or NEITHER offer the possibility to use a tool such as the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool.

I'd be ok with downloading an ISO image if it meant the creation of a simple bootable USB key.

    Hi MrQuestion,

You have acronis on your system?  Because you can run this option to do the same thing, the recovery DVDs would be.  See the following link:

  • How to make a recovery CD for Windows Vista Home Basic?

A friend recently gave me a laptop Acer 5315 to play with (I like to play with the old pc...). It came with Win/Vista Basic Home Edition. I got to level with SP2 and 2, kicking the 2gig memory (this is the limit) and now I want to create a backup/recovery disk. It has a CD inside player, but is limited to CD (not DVD). I've been looking around, but apparently creating a Vista recovery disc without the original install disks is not easy. It's true.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

Strange that it is limited to the CDs, Vista came on a DVD, unless you have specifically ordered CD from Microsoft if you had a license to retail not OEM...

    Use an external hard drive.

If you want to make a complete PC Backup or a backup file only, buy an external hard drive.

Only Vista professional, comprehensive and company have the opportunity to make complete backups of PC.

All editions of Vista can do backups of files.

  • A recovery disc for Windows (for a Surface of 3 pro) 8.1 can be used on a different Surface Pro 3?

    Hello

We tried to use a recovery disc of the 8.1 Win with an area of 3 pro on another surface pro 3 and we had this message when we click on 'Continue' (exit and continue to Windows 8.1)

"Recovery... looks that Windows did not load properly...". »

What it means that they are not compatible, and we cannot use this on this surface pro recovery disk?   Or it's something that we can ignore and just continue search for defects and forward repair options?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Chriseanmig

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

You can use a recovery disk Windows 8.1 on another device of Surface Pro 3.

Recovery disk you have may be corrupted. You can create a new recovery media by following the steps mentioned in the article below.

  • Recovery Dell for Windows 8.1 update

I need link to upgrade Dell backup and restore to win 8.1. A system restore with won 8 recovery disks. After the update of the pop-up message to Win 8.1 dell advises to download the new version of the software for backup/restore Dell to Win 8.1 clicking tile upgrade from dell. Process has started, in the middle of the installation, said to uninstall the old version of BU / recovery, after the uninstall, install routine has stopped and no upgrade. Could not find the link to upgrade as uninstall watered it. Can't find info on dells support pages.

    Thanks in advance

You don't really need it. Make the copies of your files work best, especially when upgrading. DellBU allows to use the same operating system, even by car. If you upgrade to windows 10 later this year, he can't use backups to win 8 or 8.1, but it may use copies. But here it is-

    http://www.Dell.com/support/contents/us/en/19/article/product-support/self-support-knowledgebase/software-and-downloads/Dell-backup-solutions/Dell-backup-and-recovery

The version you have installed is identical to version 8.1 of victory. Don't forget to copy files to a removable media too.

  • Can't find Recovery Manager for Windows 8

I have a new HP Envy 7300 dv6t laptop.  I have it turned on twice.  First time I created only my computer name and the name of the user ID and the password.  Second time (a few minutes ago), I activated Windows 8 and goes immediately to create system recovery discs.  I typed in the search box "Recovery Manager", clicked on it and chose "Create recovery media."  He then gave me the message "You are allowed to create a set of recovery media" which I clicked "I agree."  Then he took me to the screen that says "Please insert one of the following media.  (I was following a you tube explanation of how do and so far everything was fine.)  However, when it came to the screen, it appeared (tube video of you), I had to click on my choice of media, I was going to use (flash drive, DVD or DVDDL.)  However, nothing would happen when I tried to click on "DVD".  Instead, below the choice to use, the "gear" kept spinning icon, acting like he was going to do something... but she kept spinning and spinning.  As it says at the top "Please insert one of the following media", I thought that maybe I needed to put in the DVD.  So I did.  Still nothing.  The engine continued to run.  So I thought that maybe the computer has been suspended.  So I took out the DVD and closed off Recovery Manager think I'll try again.  Now, however, when I type in the search box "Recovery Manager", nothing comes.  Just the message "no parameters corresponding to your research."  Certainly, I can still do these disks, right?  Certainly my time 'one' is not gone because I liquidated.  Please someone help me!  Thank you

In fact, I restarted the computer and it's back!  Yes!  Now I'm doing the disks.  It takes 6 discs and I'm on disc 6 now.  However, 3 times that day I received a message saying something to the effect of "try again... it didn't work."  So, I intend to call HP in a few minutes, because 2 of these 3 times it was on disk 6 and I have 2 discs left.  However, the INITIAL problem was that my driver optical (or whatever it's called) was not working so HP had me uninstall and reinstall the driver.  Apparently with Windows 8, there are just a bunch of problems that need to be developed. I think that they also said that they have problems with the system recovery discs.  So, if someone is reading this and experiencing problems, you can just give them a call and tell them it has to do with the system recovery.

  • Recovery media for X 1 carbon?

    Hello

I have a X 1 carbon (20BS) 20 days ago. First thing I did was the installation of Linux, but after some tests with different distributions (Fedora 21 later), I accidentally deleted the contents of the EFI partition.

I don't have a recovery media for Windows 8.1. Is it possible to get it online? Or should I consider to support? Unfortunately, I still need Windows for some older programs that I use.

PS = if anyone has a recommendation on a Linux distro for this machine, would be appreciated.

PS2 = F11 at startup option doesn't even appear now.

    Thank you!

Good day and welcome to the community.

Lenovo has never been available online recovery media. However, you can communicate with the Service (info below) and demand. According to my experience, they will check your model and serial number, and there may be an associated cost.

    I hope this helps.
