Recovery value discs

I have a laptop HP 2000 and want to create a set of recovery.  Instructions for creating a recovery set specify DVD-R or DVD + R discs.  I have a clean set of nine discs CD - RW.  Those who will be enough?

When you request support, please provide the name number and produces complete model of the HP computer in question. HP/Compaq made thousands of computer models. Without this information, it can be difficult, even impossible to help you solve your problem.

The information requested above are at the bottom of your computer or inside the battery compartment. , Please do not include your serial number. Please enter the product/model information consumer HP Online Support page and post it here for our review.

Sorry, but the CD - RW can not be used for the creation of a set of HP recovery disks. You will need to use up to 5 or 6 discs DVD + R (recommended), a 32GB USB Flash Drive, or HP approved media.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • System was a dell, but everything has been changed. Should recovery/repair disc what I do?

    Original title: I need to run recovery on my xp

    I need to run a recovery/repair on my family computer for my windows xp cd, but all I can find is a for a dell xp home recovery disk. My computer was originally from dell, but we changed rooms (motherboard, CPU, ram, video card, etc.) and told me that now I can't launch an inside dell recovery disk. Is this correct? If so should what type of recovery/repair disc I do?

    That is right. The Dell recovery disk will work only on the original Dell equipment.  You will need to purchase a retail license, either a generic OEM license without brand that has never been used.

  • How to format a Dell Backup and Recovery DVD disc copy?

    In 2013, when I bought my Dell Inspiron 15R is 7520, it was preinstalled with the Windows 8.0 operating system. Using the Dell B & R software right now, I created 8.0 Windows system image in different regions in 3 DVDs.

    Since then I have had then improved to 8.0 Windows 8.1 and year last at 10.

    To avoid the loss of data in case of failure of equipment/system, I created the image of the system of Windows 10 in an external hard drive (WD Passport 1 TB).

    But other readings suggested that I also need to create a bootable in case system repair disc if Windows refused to load. That's why I wanted to format the disks from windows 8.0 image I created in the year 2013. However, the disks are write protected and I can't format it.

    Can someone tell me how to format disks that are protected from writing software Dell B & R?

    Thank you.

    If the media is DVD-R or + r, it is write - once.  You will need new discs to make a new recovery boot disc.

    If it's on DVD - RW or + RW, you can format the disks using Windows or another utility (Cyberlink, Nero, etc) and re-use the disks.

  • Recovery value creation after replacing hard drive

    I am running Windows 7 on a laptop Pavilion. I have a recovery of the value that I created a few years before on the DVD-r. In the meantime, I had my hard drive (and then my processor) replaced under warranty. Do I need to recreate a set of recovery, or the existing set will work?

    Hello

    As long as the motherboard has not changed, your existing recovery disc set should work fine.

  • Re: Satellite L300 - made recovery but disc does not work

    I have a Satellite L300 and did a few sets of recovery discs from what I read some brands work and some don't, and none have so far.

    Insert Diskette 1, press the button and hold F12 key until the startup option appears.
    Select CD/DVD and then back type box appears with X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe - startnet.cmd
    and in the box waiting for ODD vacancies...

    You can add several points after that as nothing is more - so three sets of recovery disks on three different brands of DVD any advice would be pleaseing!

    Hello

    According to your description, the system restore procedure does not start, and the STRANGE can not read the disc.

    In your case I would recommend recover laptop using Toshiba HDD recovery.
    You can start the procedure of HARD drive; Press F8, choose repair my computer, Toshiba HDD recovery.
    Now the system restore should products

    After the laptop has been set to factory settings, check to see if there is an update of firmware for this CURIOUS (CD/DVD drive). If yes-> update the firmware.
    I know you tried three different brands of DVD but you should always try to create a recovery disk using another DVD disc I m using TDK DVD-R and had good experience with it. One of my friends uses Verbatim DVD-R and never had problems

  • Satellite L300-13 s - USB recovery instead of recovery DVD discs?

    Hello

    Well, for the first time in 8 years I had to do a system recovery using the disks that I created when I bought my l300-13s using the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.
    I had inadvertently deleted the HARD drive recovery partition when I decided to make a clone with a larger HARD drive.

    What I want to know is instead of making recovery discs DVD can only do a USB key recovery?

    Thank you

    Peter.

    When you open Toshiba Recovery Media Creator you can see media options that can be created. I m not 100% sure, but I think that the old L300 there was possibility of recovery DVD only so I think that you cannot create USB recovery.

  • Satellite L655-16F - Factory reset using Recovery Media discs

    OK so I'll try to reset my Toshiba Satellite L655-16th back to factory settings, then he started giving me the out of memory error message, but I don't have that drives it asked me to do when I got the laptop, so when I do the F8 all start up and go to the screen with the Toshiba HDD recovery resetting thing and click on it It gives me this error message:

    * HDDRecoGUI *.
    Operating system recovery is impossible!
    Not found the HDD Recovery folder on the second disc of the first hard drive.
    There is no valid disk HARD recovery environment on this computer.

    I tried various different things; Press 0 - which gave me a screen asking you what operating system, I wanted to use (there is only Windows 7) then just continued to load as usual. Put the first disc in and restart my laptop (which I have pretty well every time anyway) - which did nothing. etc.
    So yes, is there a way to create the file from HARD drive of mystery I need the disks, or maybe another way to use the disks that I have not already tried?

    > Not found HDD Recovery folder on the second disc of the first hard drive.
    > There is no valid disk HARD recovery environment on this computer.
    This message appears if you have deleted the recovery image or changed the structure of the partitions on the HARD disk.

    If you have created disk or recovery disk that you can install the recovery using the recovery DVD image.

    Start your laptop and meadows F12 repeatedly to enter the boot menu.
    Place the recovery disc into the optical disc drive.
    In the menu choose the CD/DVD drive.
    Press ENTER.
    Follow the menu on the screen.

  • Recovery creator disc error code: 1100 8-48-00000002. Satellite Pro L300-15

    Hi all.

    Satellite Pro L300-152 of the Vista 32 SP2.

    This laptop was gave me to try to repair (another instance of stolen suicide Vista).
    After retrieving the system (no re - install wasn't necessary), I would like to create a disc of recovery for the owner.

    However, when I try to run the "Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator", I get an 'Error' window with the following message is displayed "an unexpected error has occurred. Exit this application and start it again. (Error code: 1100 00000002-48-8). Of course restarting the application generates another identical message.
    No one knows what could be the cause of this error and how do I create a recovery for this notebook drive.

    Take care of all.

    Mike

    Hello

    This error message usually appears because the non compatible CD or DVD.
    I think you should first check if there is an ODD firmware update.
    On the Toshiba European page driver you might find updates firmware for different CD/DVD drives.

    You should check your CD/DVD drive and a compatible firmware is available, then you need to update this
    If there is no update firmware, then you must try different discs from different manufacturers to create a recovery disk.

  • Inefficient recovery Vista disc after installing XP.

    I formatted my laptop and installed linux openSUSE... I decided that I didn't really like that release, so I tried to reinstall Vista using my recovery disk, and it would not install.  However, I was able to install XP from another disc to start (strangely from another computer), but I still want my Vista because it is more compatible with my pc.

    Anyone know how to recover my Vista?  The computer does not work from the disk.

    If your recovery disc Vista/s do not work, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer.

    This isn't their recovery process, Microsoft.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Help me install Recovery vista disc Xp Media Center manufactured PC

    Hello

    My pc came with windows xp media center edition. According to hp, I had to have the free vista upgrade if I had bought my pc until March 15, 2007.

    But I bought on 19 April 2007, so that they do not give me Windows Vista. I've been running on XP thereafter. Now I can borrow the friend Vista recovery disc and and install, but I don't know how to do this. If I need to change some settings in BIOS or not?

    I want my PC should work as if it came with vista only (d: recovery, Casked etc.)

    If in the case where I feel happy with vista, I also want to go back to XP MCE.

    Please help me to do the process.

    My model No. is the m7581in flag.

    You need not update BIOS to install Vista. If you do not experience problems addressed by the update, you don't need it.

    Before installing Vista, take your recovery disk set, so you can go back to XP if necessary. An another suggestion_Windows 7 must be released in a few months. I've been running the BETA-test version of this since Jan and now the recently published CR. It has some improvements on Vista. I would wait a few months for Windows 7.

    I have a XPS computer, Windows 10 8900, it received last week. If your Dell printer is under warranty (mine is, dating a week), you can order Dell disks backup and restore here.
