Recurring corruption VM

I have a recurring problem with one of my vm images. It goes like this:

1. I opened the VMware Workstation GUI and select the tab for the image named streams1

2 VMware makes me it seems to be in use and wonder if I want to take charge.

3. I know that the virtual machine is not in use. I select "own."

4. nothing happens. If I select the tab streams1 once again, I am again asked to take ownership. I can't take ownership.

5. I go to the directory of the virtual machine and rename all four directories that end with "lck" to "lck.backup".

6. I have restart the GUI and select the streams1 tab.

7. tab shows me the animation of waiting. The wait icon never disappears.

What do you get?

The virtual machine image can be recovered?

How can I prevent this from happening in the future?

Config:

-L' host OS = Ubuntu 12.04

-Guets OS = CentOS 6.4

-Product = VMware Workstation 10

See attached file vmware.log

You can remove CentOS 64 - bit.vmx.lck?
Also delete your * backup files - you don't need to save empty files.

Did restart you because the problem appeared? -If not - try it.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Recurring problem of 'installation': Adobe CC corrupt or download error

    First things first:
I bought end of February the Adobe Creative Cloud of the student. I have a recurring problem which requires me to re - download and install the creative application of cloud and all related programs almost every 24 hours. (Files get corrupt as soon as I close the creative application of Cloud).

I deleted all the previous versions of creative Cloud and CS6 applications. My laptop has specifications quite decent to run these programs (Vaio Efit15, specifications on request) and all my account info is correct (this has been validated by adobe support).

At first, I had problems that are found in several places on this forum:

    • Symbol of endless loading when you try to start the application after installation.
    • App starts normally, but I only have access to trial even if connected with CC-subscription versions valid.

First, I followed the normal procedure, suggested by the support which includes the winding and little cleaning of files like this:

    Manually this method works:

This has really helped a lot in my case, online support chat gave me a Creative Cloud cleaning tool that allows you to simply clear the host files.

But this works to avoid the loading icon or the trial version-bug at the launch of the creative cloud App, it does not solve the fact that the app is always corrupted as soon as I close and try to restart.

Once I got close the application and try again, it does not load and remains active in the background does not at all, or I get another error:

For those who speak English, the window says "download error", even if the download went very well.

Even if I just crossed the penalty to reinstall all the applications I need and that you use.

Every time this happens, the only possible 'solution' is to erase delete all and install it fresh. Of course this isn't a solution at all because I need these programs so frequently. Please, read before you answer. Recommended solutions as empty AAMupdate folder or change the OOBE folder then even clear host files and reset everything often offers only a false sense of ' yay, I can install stuff "until I was smack in the face every time with errors like 'Illustrator has been deleted or damaged, please remove this application in the list'" "an error occurred trying to launch Adobe Creative Cloud, this program has been corrupted or deleted".

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi Yuliyep,

Let us know if you have checked your Hosts file, if not the please please reset your Host file. See, Advanced solutions to errors in connection with Adobe Creative Cloud and Creative Suite applications

These questions are related to a blocking network, Veuileez let us know if you have tried to turn off the program of network security and checked, otherwise please follow the steps below:

    • Please check if you have installed browser security extensions, please disable them. (For example: AD BLOCK, Advisor to Mcafee website, toolbar of internet security etc.)
    • Disable the firewall on your machine.
    • Turn off the firewall of the security program installed on the computer Internet. (Norton 360 - disable the following in it: Surf safely, firewall, browser protection, download intelligence)

These changes are temporary you can restore these changes back to normal once your creative cloud application is in place and functioning *.

You can also try to do a manual cleaning of the creative cloud desktop application and then reinstall it:

    (1) uninstall Creative Cloud Desktop Manager:

Using creative cloud | Uninstall the creative cloud desktop application

    (2) delete following folders: (if you do not see any folder skip this step)

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Application Manager

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Creative Cloud files

C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\ MAA UPDATER and two OOBE (App data & Program Data is folder hidden please see, Show files and folders hidden in Windows 7, 8.x, 10, or Vista)

    \Adobe\ DONNÉES C:\Program rename SL-STORE like SL-STORE_OLD

3 - Click on the link below and download Creative Cloud Installer file and use them to install the creative Cloud Desktop application.

Download Adobe Creative cloud apps | Free trial of Adobe CC

  • Windows media Player library said that he corrupted how to fix this?

How can I fix my Media Player as it says I can't play some files as it is corrupt, I'm not very computer im still learning.i tried the troobleshooter but it is not solved the problem.

    Hello

    1. what operating system do you use?

Method1: I suggest you run the troubleshooter to library and check if that helps.

Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-library-Troubleshooter

Method2: It would be possible that the files in the directory that stores Media Player may contain corrupted data. Go to the following directory and delete all the files in the folder. Test if the problem recurs.

    %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player

Note: Please save the contents of the directory first.

Method 3: Reinstall Windows Media Player

As a last resort, try to uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player.

This version fixes most of the problems of corruption of Windows Media Player.

Note that uninstalling Windows Media Player 12 also disables Windows Media Center because WMC uses WMP12 to its operation.

  • Vista is corrupting my JPEG files

I have Vista for several years now and there has been a recurrent injury. + 40% of the time when I create or copy a JPEG file. The JPEG format is corrupt. It got to the point that I came back to my XP machine if I need to do something with a JPEG image. My last gambit was to reference the URL of an image that I wanted posted to eBay. I logged on to ebay to my Vista machine and referenced the URL of the image that I wanted and when I posted to eBay that it was corrupt (he resembled a composite multiple images into one). When I performed the same operation from my machine XP image has been transferred without problem.

Y at - it a fix for this problem?

    Hi Douglas,.

    Follow these steps:

    Method 1:

Create a new user account and see if the problem is recurring in the account newly created.

If the problem does not persist in the new user account, it could indicate that your old user account is corrupted.

For instructions on repairing the corrupted user profile, see repair a user profile corrupted .

    Method 2:

Scan a file system (CFS) checker on your computer and see if that fixes the problem.

SFC tool scans system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

    • You may lose your custom themes because no permisions on the old themes. Go to the folder themes hidden at C:/Users /(User-Name)/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows/Themes, then take possession of the themes folder and you have now all your themes back.

  • Copying of images from Compact Flash Card Reader on Windows 7 x 64 corrupts some image files.

When the copy of Canon RAW files produced by a Canon EOS 40 d and Canon's EOS 5DMk2 Canon EOS 7 d a card compact flash on a PC running Windows 7 x 64 a small percentage of the files become corrupt. I tested it with several internal and external USB card reader, with the same results. Always the same images of a set of images on the card are corrupted. On my system with Windows Vista x 32 or Windows 7 x 32 this problem does not occur. If you copy an image corrupted from a machine Windows 7 x 64 one of the x 32 machines always corrupt. But you copy the same image directly from the CF card, it will be corrupted on Windows 7 x 64, but is perfectly fine in a x 32 machines. Is anyone familiar with this problem? No work around? I am a photographer and it is really annoying my workflow.

This problem has been recreated on the following computers:

    Dell Dimension 9100 Running Windows 7 Profesional x 64
    Dell XPS m1210 Running Windows 7 Enterprise x 64

This problem does not occur on the following computers:

Dell Dimension 9100 Running Windows Vista Ultimate x 32
Reference Dell Inpiron 9100 Running Windows 7 Professional x 32
Dell XPS m1210 running Windows Vista Enterprise x 32

Talk about drive you crazy, I can have recently fixed this problem for my PC, but I can't really understand what was the exact solution. In any case if you read my posts above, you'll see that I at least 4 PC running Windows 7 that has this issue. I have two cameras from Canon (40 d, 7 d) that present this problem and 4 compact flash cards (2 for each camera) which show this question. This issue is also never appeared on my other 2 cameras (300 d and 20 d) or on Windows XP or Windows Vista.

To test this recurring problem, I kept one of my CF cards which was full of RAW files and stopped using it with my cameras. I used images on this card for testing. I copy the images of this map on a PC hard drive then I would like to make a second copy on the hard drive. A copy of the images I would have spotted in Adobe Bridge, the second copy I would consider only with the Canon DPP. Whenever there are images corrupted in the game that I give in Adobe Bridge and no corruption in the game that I would only see with Canon's DPP. I would then use WinMerge to compare one of the images corrupted in Bridge with uncorrupted counterpart. Sometimes the files differed not at all, which indicates that the corruption was in Adobe Bridge preview only. Sometimes there are clearly major differencs between files, which indicates that the corruption was in the file RAW itself.

I repeated this test again and again on at least 4 computers running Windows 7. It became easy to reproduce and repeatable. The differences between several PC was that different images become corrupt on different PCs. By default on a PC, changing as ACR would affect what images have become corrupt.

With the above in mind, I would test with clean installs on the PC. With anti-virus turned off. Without any element in windows startup. With different video cards, etc. Nothing has worked. Then on a whim, I bought and installed the Codec Pack FastPictureViewer 2.1R2 (http://www.fastpictureviewer.com/codecs/) on one of my PC Windows 7 x 64. After a reboot, I then ran my standard test above. To my surprise, none of the pictures of the test set has become corrupted. The first time it never happened on Windows 7 for sure.

Great, I thought. So now if I take this CF card and copy the images on a PC without the Codec Pack, then the images would still become corrupt because with the right Adobe Bridge? Well, bad actually. On my other three PC without the Codec Pack these images now copy the CF card with no to corruption. The new pictures that I take with a camera show also no corruptiopn on any computer with or without the Codec Pack. It's really weird.

All I can theorize it, is that there is something wrong with some data that has been written for cards CF. In the directory structure or some cache hidden on the CF card somewhere float codec RAW of Canon presents incorrect data, but ACR and the CaptureOne seemed not only to become confused by it, they would actually rewrite the interpretation corrupted in the file RAW itself. It's curious because the display of hidden files and protected system files do show all files on the CF card other than RAW images. The only thing that's changed on the map, it's that when I opened it upward in the preview vignettes explore now show instead of the generic Adobe icons for CR2 files. On the PC without the Codec Pack, the generic icons show yet, but very good copy the files. Whatever it either, with the Codec Pack to build miniature previews on PC it sets whatever the problem of all the PC have had reading the data off the card.

I can't explain it. I reformatted the CF card camera and on my two PCs and doesn't seem to make a difference. But by the mere fact to have a codec generate a thumbnail preview, it seems to have 'fixed' regardless of the question. Very confusing. For the last three days, I tried to recreate the problem of corruption and simply cannot. If she resurfaced once again, I will post it here, but for now it seems that this problem is solved?

  • R610 SAS6IR with SSD RAID 1 file system Corruption

Hi all!  I worked on a recurring problem with some Dell R610 servers upgraded with the ruhnning controller SAS6IR a pair of Kingston SSD 256 GB in a RAID1 configuration.  I have 5 of these servers and are all identical and all have the same issue, this is why I'm leaning - point anyway - more than a question of settings rather than material because I swapped around the servers as well as SSDS them has tested in a R710 and the question arises in all R610s but the 710 using the same disks is not the issue.

Yes, on the real problem: corruption after being shut down the system of files and shut down by the operating system - not power failure or power button.

I tried to use Ubuntu Linux, RHEL7, Windows Server 2 k 8 and I saw the question in the O/Ss Linux but not Windows - same XenServer worked perfectly after a weekend 4 days, which lends to thinking me it is on Linux.  All appears well in the main bios and 6IR as much as all the disks/RAID volumes and run diagnostics on readers shows that they are all in good health.  I can install and reboot until the cows come home, home and there is no problem.  But when I shut down the system completely (this is a test environment and not yet in in production environment) using the option to stop the operating system and with elegance stops the system and turning off the power, but not to disconnect the supply plug/UPS when I turn back - usually after be closed from one day to the next, but also did the same an hour or similarly - messages just fine and starts the boot sequence.  The matrix RAID and Volume is found, and the operating system starts the startup.  It was then that the system will come to a prompt instead of the graphical interface or will stop with an error of file system corruption saying there are some deleted inodes.  I am trying to download the Dell Diagnostic DVD and let's see what he comes up with, but this issue has been frustrating me for almost 2 months now that I struggle to find what is the cause.

Any additional information required, please let me know.  Thank you in advance.

    Scott

I discovered that it was indeed the RAID controllers in the R610.  The particular version of the PERC 6 was not compatible with the Ubuntu kernel and it managed the SSD correctly.  After their replacement by the PERC 6 / i with backup battery, all that survived a weekend stop.  Thanks for all the suggestions and help.

  • I downloaded Sierra.  Installation failed saying corrupted download.  App Store still says downloaded, but there is no button install and I can't download it again.

I downloaded Sierra.  Installation failed saying corrupted download.  App Store still says downloaded, but there is no button install and I can't download it again.

    What should I do?

    Hello volvoxc70,

I understand that you have downloaded macOS Sierra, but are not able to install it, because you are told that the download was corrupted. In a situation like this, the next step would be to remove existing installation application download and re - download.

Applications downloaded from the App Store: click on the Launchpad icon in the Dock, hold the application icon until all the icons begin to jiggle, then click on the button to remove the application. If you later want the app, you can reinstall it on the App Store.

OS X El Capitan: install, update and uninstall applications
    https://support.Apple.com/kb/PH21867

If you do not have Launchpad on your Dock, you can access your Applications folder in the Finder menu reach > Applications. Once in the application, find install it macOS Sierra app, click once to select it, open the file menu > move to the trash. You will need to enter your administrator password to perform this operation.

    See you soon!

  • Notes is corrupt

    Hello!

My friend is using the mac book air El capitan 10.11.6 (updated), it has some difficulties in the application notes and tried a few steps to solve the problem, but without success.

I tried safe mode - no results, but he has a lot of data and does not create a new user account.

He is looking for a method.

    Help, please!

    Thank you!

Create a new user account not to LOSE data - it helps to know if there is something dark and deep "about" of things in the user in general that CAN be placed at the heart of the problem.

A more complete history of what exactly happens (which means 'corrupted' to you all?) and details of the measures taken (each action-'how' was tried Safe Mode? for example, are there ' All SURE this Safe Mode has been completed?)

  • Download was corrupted to El Capitan

I downloaded El Capitan and it says that the file has been corrupted after performing a bootable USB to install on a new SSD. I tried several times re - download and am trying to setup the 4th attempt! I get the same error every time. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem. For me, he tried to install the public beta (sometimes called candidate GM) and when I disconnected from the App Store, reconnected and downloaded one called OS X El Capitan, everything went well.
