  Well, after letting it sit unused printer for several months, yesterday I just plugged into the USB port, and Windows 7 instantly recognized the Dell Laser 1500 printer and installed the drivers.

  It seems to work very well without any problems! However I do nothing advanced as use it as a network printer. But in my case it worked fine with Vista and seems to work correctly with Windows 7.

  I see by your post that you would like to know if the printer can copy legal size documents. I would like to help.
  
  You can copy the documents from the ADF legal format.

  Place the document in the ADF, select copy on the printer icon, and then tap Settings, contact paper in the list, select the type of paper used and the legal. Select the back button and touch black or color to begin copying.

  This information is provided by the mfp Laserjet Pro M127fw sheet.

  ADF scan size: 8.5 x 14 to the Maximum; 6 x 4.5 at least; Flat: 8.5 x 11.7 in.

  .. . Select the PS driver (not PCL) and extend the compatibility. You will see XP listed so this driver should be OK (or at least worth a try).

  XP is not printer PCL driver (but that does not mean that it is not XP compatible!)

  I answered many of these questions on my previous post, but developers are part of the printing process and are attached to the carousel. Each color is individual, so a color can still be ok when others are affected. I always have in my recommendation to replace the unit based on the age and complexity of the repair required.

• Vista 32 sp2 causing problem with dell laser printer 1720

  Vista sp 2 apparently automatically updated and after that, the dell 1720 laser printer will spit on a white sheet, then the desired on a second document sheet.  I spent 3 hours on the phone with support technique dell with no resolution.  They feel that it is perhaps because of the addition of the 2 service pack. Always, it prints a few odd at the top of the first sheet numbers, if anything, then prints the document requested on the second sheet. It does this by using any application (Notepad, wordpad or other software).  Someone at - it ideas?  I'm certainly not the only one having this problem?

  According to the manual, a red flashing! slight implementation:

  • A small error and the machine is waiting for the fault to be cleared. When the problem is corrected, the machine picks up.

  • Small amount of toner is left in the cartridge. The estimated life of toner cartridge is close. Prepare a new replacement cartridge. You can temporarily increase the print quality by redistributing the toner.

  If you have a new authentic toner cartridge, try to reset:

  With walking and the cartridge door open, press and hold the Cancel button until all lights flash in sequence. Release the button and close the door.

  The printer click Fax, and then click the Fax Menu.

  Click Fax reports, and then click Fax of Confirmation and replace value "on Fax Send'.

  If you want the confirmation to include a thumbnail of the 1st page you can set as on "include first Page."

  Many of you probably know that there are LED printers. They use an array of LEDs to boost the drum. Usually, they are more compact than laser printers. Given that HP is touted jetintelligance and small printers LJ, I wondered if they switched to LEDs of lasers. If anyone has any information on the M277dw in laser printer, rather than to a LED printer (or), please let me know.

  As far as I know, hp uses only the laser/scanner technology.  Okidata and Xerox are known for LED technology.

  I just bought a Brother L2305W AirPrint laser printer.  It is connected to my router Netgear N600.  My Dell, my IPad Air and my Android phone, visit the network, the printer.  Print everything to it without any problems.   My Acer C710 Chromebook does not see the Brother printer.

  I have read and passed the instructions of Chromebook and brother several times, but the utilities never find the brother printer.  Chromebook will print to a PDF file.  I think I must be missing some piece of info as the Chromebook and printer seemt to work properly.  Any help or idea please!

  I finally solved the problem.  I had to save the printer from a Microsoft Windows computer.  Google browser where you normally register a Cloud Print printer (manage settings, advanced settings, Google Cloud Print,), still has not seen the printer even if 10 of Microsoft Windows and IE Explorer saw the Brother printer as the default printer. First I made sure that I was connected to my Google account.  Still does not see the printer on Google Chrome.  Then I went to https://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/printers.html# clicked on the tab "Try it Now".  Voila!  First time something named "Chrome" given the printer.  I chose the printer and the printer wireless now working on all of my devices.

  I had the same problem and I spent all day trying to figure this out! Not only have I had this problem I ended up having problems of firewall that caused the problem to take more time.

  in any case, this is how solve you the problem for 64-bit windows 7 computers.

  Panel control--> system and security--> firewall Windows--> (allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall)

  You must add "Manager of Scan" and give him access to the host/network (private), Public domain.  ALSO

  ScanMgr2.exe should already be in the list, and it grants the same privileges.

  I don't know if that's all you need to do, but when I tested it, I gave Sscan2io.exe and SScanToIO access to all 3, I've been able to connect.

  (I was unable to delete the access of these two Home/network & public after test with access, so I recommend that you try it without giving the permission first!)
  NOTE: Disable the firewall does not solve the problem!  Firewall had to stay.
