Hi Msohm,

As I read the forum discussions, it is said that the https://pushapi.eval.blackberry.com must be accessible by the device using transport BIS. So I wonder if a simulator can do recording and test button? If so, how to solve the error "forbidden access"?

Would you please help me out here again? Thank you.

No, the BlackBerry Push Service cannot be tested using the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator.  You need a real Smartphone BlackBerry for this.

What finally worked for me when I tried to install MSFSX Gold Edition has been that I copied the disc 1 FS to my office.  Then I copied the contents of the FS 2 disc and put the files in the same folder.  When're asked you if you want to replace the files with the same name on both drives say no.  It seemed to work well for me when nothing else did.

I haven't read of anyone doing this exactly, it's my own invention/workaround bit AFAIK. Hope this works for all of you who cannot make it work otherwise.

  • Windows update fails with 0 x 80070424 among others (update agent will not install)

I tried to install iTunes 9.2 on my computer of girls running Vista 64 sp1.  It failed several times with an error message encrypted with public keys and RCH80.  I took this down to a problem of lack of security patches.  In the process, I noticed that Windows Update has been fails with error 0 x 80070424, indicating a required service was not running.

so I downloaded sp2, also the operation failed with error 0 x 80070424 even.  I checked the Background Intelligent Transfer and start-up and running (so I restarted), I checked Windows Update and it was also running and so I restarted.  Same result.  I've disabled UAC and restarted.  Still no joy.

Then I read an article on the subject, said a service called "Automatic updates" should be running, not only he was not running, did not exist. Some that I've been on something I downloaded "windowsupdateagent30 - x 64 .exe" to install the service.  Unfortunately, this fails with a fatal error, no number error, simply "windows has encountered a fatal error.

It is where I am at this time - trying to figure out a fix for this.  Thank you.  (I also disabled AV, firewall, etc., ran several antivirus scans, malware scans including Malware Bytes, AVG and Avast and MS Defender and rootkit detectors which come clean).

    • This morning, I have updated the firmware on my SSD to activate the TRIM. I restored an image of the drive I did with Windows Backup and Restore just before updating the drive.

    Problem:

During the shutdown, some files are 'configured '. Upon restart, during the boot of Windows GUI (circles of flight), there is a break-up of the code, something about the registry. What I tried:

    • Disk Cleanup attempt (and unfortunately removed all restore points). Did not work.
    • Attempt to sfc/scannow. He found a few files, that it could not correct; I have the CBS.log newspaper if you need. However, updates still do not work.

    • Tried a Full scan with MSE. No anomaly.

    • Attempt of Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool (updated dec 2010) Full Scan, no malicious software was detected. Updates still do not work.
    • Attempt of Anti-Malware analysis complete Malwarebyte, no malicious software found. Updates still do not work.

I don't think that this is malware, but a Windows problem... My internet is wobbly for these last two days, a lot of packet loss (pages only "" half load, some missing frames, etc.). Not sure if this is related, but it downloads the updates very well. It is not always the marker "35%".

I'm out of ideas. What's next?

    Thank you

    1. about 1 year, I installed MSE.

2 McAfee has been preloaded; the subscription was updated (in a 90-day trial), and I uninstalled McAfee completely (regular uninstall and Removal Tool provided by McAfee).

    3. Yes, for about 30 minutes before I uninstalled and installed MSE.

    4. Yes.

However, with a little help seven forums, we have figured out it is the registry. I did a reinstall and then the updates installed correctly.

  • Can not register opimize: when I start computer, a window opens opimize the registry failed

When I start computer a window opens opimize the registry failed

    Hi Harry,.

Looks like you have some program registry installed and programmed to run at startup, which does not work.  I suggest we identify and remove the boot and then remove it totally from the system (uninstall).  Registry modification programs are generally risky, rarely do much good, can cause great harm and are not really necessary as Windows does a good job of managing the registry on its own.

Try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once don't forget to reset your operating system to normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

Start in safe mode with network and see if the problem is here.  A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    Hi gbislay,

I think that you are able to get on the desktop after changes have been restored.

Step 1: Auditor of file system (CFS) scan to fix all of the corrupted system files. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

Step 2: Download and run the system update tool. This tool runs an ad hoc analysis of inconsistencies that might prevent future maintenance operations.

Step 3: Clean boot the computer

Follow step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Important: n ' forget not to put the computer to follow normal start-up step 7 in the link.

Step 4: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...) Except the mouse and keyboard and then try to install the updates.

    Updated 2012/06/03

I wrote a batch file too. If you use this place the vbs solution.

It is a little more difficult, because the batch file exports the two keys, the destroyed, creates the empty entries. Then, you must rerun the KB2686509! After this do not restart, press on continue in the command window (restoration of the old entries) and then restart.

If one of the buttons (bad) does not exist, the command file creates an empty entry, so KB2686509 should work.

Here you can download the http://www.vivus.net/dl/ batch file

  • KB2656353 install fails with error 0 x 643

    Dear Microsoft support community,

    (a) I have Windows XP Professional SP3.  I haven't used this computer
in almost a year, so the first thing I did was to hang the
computer, connect to the Internet and run Microsoft update.
There were 78 updates and 75 of them were installed successfully.
    (b) when I tried to install KB2656353, the installation failed with error
    0 x 643.
    (c) Googling turned up to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976982 .
I tried the Microsoft Fix it 50123, but which did not help.
    (d) I repaired then the .NET 4 Client Setup.  No joy.
    (e) I ran the auditor of .NET tool to
       http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/10/13/8999004.aspx

And he noted "the check is successful" for

    .NET 2.0 SP2
    .NET 3.0 SP2
    .NET 3.5 SP1
    .NET 4 client
    .NET 4 full

    (f) I have concluded that uninstall and then reinstall the whole .NET
framework was not claimed for now, since it does not seem
as indicated in KB 976982 corrupted.

    (g) I checked the registry for .NET 1.1 hotfixes listed issues
    in http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2004/11/23/268934.aspx
in the "Info 9002..." section, but I have not found any.

    (h) I downloaded the update in a separate file,
    NDP1.1sp1 - KB2656353 - X 86 .exe, to http://download.microsoft.com,.
and tried to run as a standalone program, but it stops almost
immediately.  By redirecting the logging to a local file, I find
the update has not been installed, but I do not know how to interpret

    Hello

This can happen for several reasons, most common duration to a problem with the registry permissions.

I would suggest trying the following tool, it is a 3rd party utility that analyze and repair registry permissions, and so you can use it at your own risk (I used it several times without any problems):

    http://www.MajorGeeks.com/mg/getMirror/tweaking_com_reset_registry_permissions, 1.html

Click the Start button and let a few minutes (it may take some time, about 5-10 minutes), the journal stated: "" once it ends.

Then try to reinstall the HP software and check for the difference.

If the same continues I suggest contacting HP sopport to continue such troubleshooting.

In the end, the solution was to add "interface = wifi" at the end of the URL. I guess I'll have more problems when I switch to 3G, but for now it's ok.

    @Peter,

I just wanted to say your responses in this forum have always been invaluable and led me to the right solutions. Your posts here and here were very useful to fix this that I had spent several hours on. So thanks a lot!

  • error packaed and launch: Oh, Snap! Build request failed with the message: [ERROR] an archive or directory does not exist in the specified path:

    Hello

I get this error when you try to run the sample of cards on the corrugation Simulator:

Oh, Snap! Build request failed with the message: [ERROR] an archive or directory does not exist in the specified path: "/ Users/Calgacos/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/Default/Extensions/cnijnnaimeaacneklcndcafbnkeicckh/0.9.16_0/services/node/node_modules/rbd/Packaged/Maps.zip".

The .../rbd/Packaged folder is writable and the Maps.zip will be created in the folder ~/RippleSites/Maps/Packaged.  With the help of Mac, the latest versions of everything.  The application runs in undulation ok, but I can't throw on the SIM BB10.

Someone else have this error and know why?

PS the Maps.zip does not get created (or copied) in specified folder, of course, but why?

PS try another application and it worked but is too has not put its zip file into the folder... rbd/Packaged.  I guess it should not but leaves me clueless as to whats wrong with cards.

    Thank you

The two directories (in the extensions directory and maps project directory) have permissions to 777.

But you gave me an idea...

It turns out that simply by putting

    "Packages".

in setting output wasn't enough, I need the full path

    for example: "/ Users/username/RippleSites/Maps/packed."

    and presto, now it works!

    Thank you!
