Remote server has gone

By chance, I clicked on "Unpin this program from the taskbar" on the line background funds therefore, now I can't see the icon for the remote server access. Please notify. Thank you!

Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description, I understand that the remote server icon has disappeared from the taskbar.

I would like to know some information.

  1. Have you checked is it installed in the programs and features?

I suggest you try the steps.

  1. Click on start.

  2. Click on programs.

  3. Program should be in there if you have accidentally uninstalled.

  4. Click right on the program.

  5. Click on pin to taskbar.

If the program is not listed then try to check the program in programs and features.

Hope this information helps. Please let us know if you need any other help with Windows in the future. We will be happy to help you.

  • Help! Save on the remote server has broken links to images

Well, I (now) know it was a stupid thing to do - but surely there must be an easy way to fix... !?

I usually have to 'PUT' html on the remote server files, once they have been registered locally. But I keep frustrated all dependency files you download, then... I "discovered" the 'SAVE to REMOTE SERVER' command, and this allows to save my file html directly to the server. I was asked if I wanted to update all the links - and I clicked on YES (doh!)

Now all my images and links are broken.

I know it's just a single page-, but it contains a number of links and images. Also, this page uses a template and the images/links from the model content in a file are also broken. (The actual model file and all the other pages of the site are okay)

    'Undo' didn't work

Does anyone know a quick way to solve this problem?

I'm using Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004

    MANY thanks in advance,

    Rich

Go in Edition > Preferences > Site >

Under dependent files, you must have two checkmarks.

In this way, that you will be asked each time to say YES or NO to the dependent files.

    I hope this helps.

  • file on the remote server has changed

Downloading changes daily I often receive a warning popup that

upploadare has changed on the server remote (date) since your last get or put operation. Put the file can overwrite changes in the file. You want to place the file anyway?

    remote_server.jpg

In Dreamweaver CS5, I always click on the Yes to all button. In Dreamweaver CC dialog box appears, but is hidden behind the active window in Dreamweaver. There is no way to divert attention from the pop-up window. The solution is to make the active little Dreamweaver window, exposing so the center of the desktop, before put the files.

Is it just me or everyone knows this problem?

I use Dreamweaver 2014.1.1 Release, Build 6981 CC.

    Thank you.

This problem is fixed in the new version of Dreamweaver Creative Cloud 2015. Adobe would like to thank you!

  • Save to remote server... option

Help. I seem to have lost the ability to back up my files on the remote server. I logged on the remote server and open the file from the server, but when I go to save the file, it displays only save them and it records only locally, and there is no record for the remote server option.

It also shows the location of the file that I open on my HD.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you.

You don't say which version of Dreamweaver that you use, but the ability to edit the files directly on the remote server has been removed from Dreamweaver CS5. You must download the file to your local machine and then download it.

If I remember correctly, the ability to change on the remote server has been available in previous versions of Dreamweaver only if you have set the site FTP and RDF.

  • Local and remote server reversed in CS5

I've just upgraded to Dreamweaver CS5 of CS3. I usually download files from local to a remote server by clicking on the button "expand to display local and remote sites" and drag the file on the local server to the file on the remote server. In CS3, the local server is on the left and the remote server has been right in the expanded view. In CS5, it is reversed, with the local server on the right and the remote server on the left. Recently I accidentally did drag a file to the remote server on the local server, crush a lot of work, I'd just do it, because I was used to the servers being on opposite sides. Very annoying, to say the least.

Anyone know why they did this way in CS5? Is it possible to move the view so that the local server is on the left and the remote control is on the right in the expanded view?

    Hello Sarah,.

You can change locals and remote to your wish

    On Windows:

    (1) go to the button Edit on the menu bar

    (2) select Preferences

    (3) in the preferences dialog, select site from the catagery option

    (4) on the top, you will have the option to display local and remote and the optoin side where you want to place

    On Mac OS

    1) go to Dreamweaver on the menu bar

    (2) select Preferences

    (3) in the preferences dialog, select site from the catagery option

    (4) on the top, you will have the option to display local and remote and the optoin side where you want to place

I enclose the snapshot of the Preferences dialog box with the circle where you need to work

  • remote server configuration question

    Hello

I have my web app works fine on a local apache/php/mysql server. but now I'm doing work on the remote server. so far, no luck. a few questions:
the connection to the base for my local server has a user id and password. can I use the same username and password for the mysql database remote?
I understand how to connect the db to the apache server locally (I use port 8080), but I don't understand how the apache finds the right mysql database on the remote server. do I have to use the db connection in the application of dw Panel and modify the connection settings somehow it can therefore be used for the remote server? I noticed that I get an error: the requested URL doglist.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 not found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument directive to manage demand.
    Apache/1.3.37 Server at www.counselorone.com Port 80

Thanks in advance for all advice.
    Mike

    David and Gareth Murray.

Thanks for your help. The last piece was dense enough to me, but I got it. David, I know that you deal with in your book, but you could probably devote a special section, its that delicate. The nuts and bolts of what I've done is...
    1. to develop my unconscious site at the remote server, including making local database connections. Because microsoft IIS stored in my own way, I changed the port of Apache on 8080. After reading David's comments, I think that its smarter to simply not bother to change the Apache port and manually turn off the IIS application. OR, you can go back once you have created the site and edit your config file Apache backwards to port 80, because you will need the localhost, not localhost: 8080 to connect to the remote server. To avoid pulling the hair, just to deal with the default configuration of apache on port 80.
2 hire a remote hosting company. I use the server range, although I have not been with them long enough to give a thumbs up or thumbs down.
    3. put the local site on the remote server. I used public_html to store my files.
    4. download the remote server to connect to the database. This last part seemed to require a few things, which were not obvious. Following the advice on this forum, I went to the remote site and note the username, password and database name. (these are NOT the same as my local site). I then copied/renamed my database on the local site to match with the prefix than the remote server has put on my remote database. For example my db was named test1 locally, but the server named wwwcoun_test1, so I renamed it which.
    5. I tried to establish a connection to the database with the new names. It worked. my understanding is that everything we try to do here is set up the connections correctly. you're dealing with loading data in the database with phpmyadmin, a great time-saving tool.
    6. I went on site remote and typed in the url for files downloaded to see if they would connect to the database. they did it.

That's all. Hope this story helps the next person who needs help.

Yet once again, thank you very much to those who responded. I appreciate your support.

  • "The remote computer has disconnected your session because of an error in the licensing protocol. Try to reconnect to the remote computer, or contact your server administrator. »

    Hello

I received the following error message

"The remote computer has disconnected your session because of an error in the licensing protocol. Try to reconnect to the remote computer, or contact your server administrator. »

This happens when I try to log on my remote on the icon access log, I put on my computer at home so that I can get to work if I need to.  He worked for a few months after I bought my new laptop and software, but now suddenly it doesn't.  I talked to my guy TI in the work and they seem to think it's a common problem with "Vista Home Premium", I can do to change it so that I can use the remote access icon?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Licensing protocol handles the communication of information on licenses between your computer and the remote computer. If there is an error in the licensing protocol, your computer may not be connected to the remote computer.

To resolve this problem, restart the computer and try connecting to the remote computer. If you continue to receive this error message, contact the server administrator.

This also occurs if one of the registry entries is corrupt. Try the following steps to resolve this problem.
    1. Click Start, type regedit and press to enter.
    2. on the window of the registry editor, navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing
    3. right click MSLicensing, click on export and provide a file name for example RemoteKeyBackup and click on save to the desktop.
    4. right click on the HardwareID key and store under MSLicensing folder and click on delete.
5 restart the computer for changes to take effect. Restarting the computer will create new keys.

NOTE: If the problem persists, then you can take backup of the MSLicensing registry key and to load it on the computer of the problem, this will fix the problem.

Visit this link for more information:
    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc756826 (WS.10) .aspx

Important: Incorrectly editing the registry can cause serious problems on the computer.
    Back up the registry: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Back-up-the-registry

Try the steps and check the result.

  • Licence DW has does not not on remote server

    Hi all,

A couple of things about my registration system are baffling me:

The registration form, I have a list to select the country of. When I left the list as a manual list in the code on the remote server, everything works fine. It works very well in Dreamweaver on the local test server.

I use a < CONSTANTS > file to establish the database connection.

When I now convert the manual list to a dynamic list by converting it to a set of folder in Dreamweaver, it does not and shows several errors:

    ( ! ) Notice: Undefined variable: database_mysqli_connect in C:\wamp\www\website\Connections\mysqli_connect.php on line 34

    ( ! ) Notice: Undefined variable: mysqli_connect in C:\wamp\www\website\Connections\mysqli_connect.php on line 34

    ( ! ) Warning: mysql_select_db() expects the parameter 2 resource, null in C:\wamp\www\ website \Connections\mysqli_connect.php on the 34 line

    ( ! ) Notice: Undefined variable: mysqli_connect in C:\wamp\www\ \Connections\mysqli_connect.php on line 36 website

    ( ! ) Warning: mysql_query() expects the parameter 2 resource, null in C:\wamp\www\ \Connections\mysqli_connect.php on line 36 website

If I now connect normal (NON CONSTANT) to the database, it works, but only in Dreamweaver on the local test server.

On the remote server, it throws an error:

    Warning : require_once (.. / Connections/mysqli_connect.php) [function.require - once]: failed to open stream: no such file or directory in /xxx/xxx /domain/registrar/register.php on line 1

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: failed to achieve "... / Connections/mysqli_connect.php ' (include_path ='.: / usr/lib/php: / usr/local/lib/php ') in /xxx//domain/registrar/register.php xxx on line 1 "

Is a short coming in Dreamweaver or is it the man in front of the computer?

Please throw some wisdom on the subject...

    Thank you

Your constants file using MySQLi (improved MySQL). Dreamweaver recordsets using the original MySQL extension. They are not compatible.

  • Cannot call a VI of remote server

I have a VI running on a computer of labview (Labview 2010) development, the main function is handling excellent report using Report Builder. I followed the link http://www.ni.com/white-paper/14469/en to configure labview and teststand machine respectly. But when I tried to call the VI of the remote server, it is still not able to load the front panel of VI and show the connectors. See attachment. Looks like he's always trying to load local drive VI because it cannot find the subvis built-in for report generator function.

What should I do to make this work? Thank you!

For those who are interested in the solution, the problem turned out to be two things.

The first is that if you want to be able to load a prototype of the VI in TestStand, you will share the VI or create a dummy VI. If the commune VI using subVIs that you do not have access, then you better create a dummy VI which has shutters connector.

The second problem has to do with the way the remote path of the VI has been specified. If you shared the VI, then you will enter the path of the shared folder in your remote path of the VI. If you haven't shared it, then you will need to enter the path of the VI as it is on the remote machine.

  • Individual images WVC80N FTP on an interval defined by the user to a remote server does

    Hello

I'm shopping for a wireless webcam to provide periodic fixed images that are accessible via any web browser. I'm not interested in live streaming video, or what I must have remote users to directly access the camera.

I currently own a Panasonic BL-C131A that performs the necessary function well. I set it up to send a simple jpeg image to a remote server every 60 seconds (assigning the same file name each time). My web site (http://www.creston-community.com/Public/Webcam.html) has a page that displays the uploaded image, i.e. the .jpg file, in the same interval. Of course, whenever the web page pulls the top of the file, it contains a more recent image this file contained on the previous cycle.

I need a second camera, but Panasonic is expensive. I seems that maybe the WVC80N could be an alternative to a price much lower. However, I have reviewed the user for the WVC80N guide and the only mention of ftp of it lies in the section dealing with motion detection. Can someone tell me if the camera can do what I ask, independent of any movement detection settings? If Yes, can I specify jpeg as the file type, set a preferred file name that will be assigned to each image and set the frequency (interval) between ftp downloads?

Thanks for any information anyone can provide. !

The WVC80n doesn't have the specific feature you are looking for, not exactly.

However, it can achieve the desired result in a different way.

The willing WVC80n of a CGI interface that your web server could pull left to draw the image, instead of the camera by pressing the image.

In other words, you can set a timer for one minute on the web server to retrieve a single image of the WVC80n jpeg and save it like that.

    http://usernameassword@wvc80n-deviceort/img/snapshot.cgi?size=3&quality=1

The URL above may also be directly mandated by your web server.

  • Windows Media Center - not the initial download put in place data for guide "unable to connect to the remote server.

    Hello

Looking for help on this one...

I have a new install of windows 7 pro running, and I was not able to get the guide to download Windows Media Center.   I am up-to-date with all the updates and SP1 version running.   My video card drivers are also updated.

I use HDHOMERUN PRIME equipment with cablecard and who receives a TV signal very well and I am able to view it in WMC.    I use Verizon FIOS and my zip code is 07452.    Before this computer, I ran the cablecard even with a ceton infinitv and had no problem Guide at all.

It's just that I can't download the guide data.  Its just totally blank.   I receive the channels and view them, but there is NO data.      Whenever I run the TV setup the same question comes up.  Cannot download the initial configuration data due to the error of previous download.   As far as I know, there is NO error message when Windows installed... actually... I reinstalled windows completely and this has not solved the problem.    I tried to manually download the guide which did not help.   It... nothing happened when I turned 'on' and 'off' WMC in Control Panel to reinstall.  I even tried explore the ehome folder and remove the file db... but nothing is helping.

I can't find a file mcupdate.exe light on my system - don't know if this is relevant.   When I looked in the event viewer here are some of the error messages that I see.

  • Remote Server Administration tool

Try to install the Administration tool of remote server on my laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 installed. Down loads OK, but when he tries to install and update with windows update stand-alone install all I get is "update is not applicable to your computer. Now, the update indicates that it should install on a computer that has installed regardless of the version of windows SP1 and I'm trying to display the Active Directory on my laptop. I read some other blogs that you say have to uninstall SP1 and then install the RSAT and then reinstall SP1, I don't want to do that. There should be an easier way to get this installed. Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. new user of this blog.

The requirements for the installation says that only versions with the company, the Professional Edition and ultimate edition of windows 7 or windows 7 with SP1. Now my question the part that says "or windows 7 with SP1" means any version of windows or does this mean that the versions business, professional and ultimate edition with SP1 is installed.

It is said very clearly. It can be installed on the Professional editions, publishing full and business Windows 7, with or without SP1.

The wording to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-in/library/ee449475 (v = ws.10) .aspx is even clearer: "for Windows 7 Remote Server Administration tools can be installed on computers running editions professional, enterprise or ultimate edition of Windows 7"

I find on the Internet, in particular Microsoft sites nothing that says it can be installed on any edition as it has SP1.

  • CS6 Dw hangs when it is connected to a remote server

    Hi all

First of all, thanks to all those who have contributed here I found a ton of useful info on these forums.

I am facing a problem that has been around for awhile, but I'm afraid, I was unable to find a solution. Dreamweaver (CS6) is very slow/unresponsive in work as part of a 'Site' connected to a remote server. The weird part is that this happens only on my laptop, the feature works fine on my desktop PC which has almost identical characteristics except that my laptop is 100% SSD (you would think it would be more efficient). It hangs for a few seconds when you save a file, which IMO is acceptable, I understand that it is pushing it to the server. The real problem comes when I'm switching between open files, or open a new file. Two of these actions take about 10-15 seconds, during which Dreamweaver has a crisis and I get notification (no response) in the bar of the window.

Dreamweaver is updated, I use no archiving/retrieval functionality. In the server settings, I have «automatically download to the server after...» "and"Maintain synchronization information"checked.  Ftp services work perfectly with my remote server, Notepad ++ also works very well.

PC card in case it is important: (laptop is almost two years but decent hardware and short grand otherwise)

    ASUS

    Windows 10

    I7

    Samsung 500GB SSD

    8 GB RAM

NOTE: in addition, once the file is actually opened and loaded, DW works fine; no lag, no hanging. It is the Act of switching/opening files (file at the top of DW tabs) which takes forever. Economy/downloading files takes less than 5 seconds and during this time, you see the download dialog box and DW does NOT get the "(ne répond pas) ' as it does when switching/opening files."

    Any suggestions on fixing this?

    Best regards

    Alex Overton

Dreamweaver is designed to operate on local files that you upload to the remote server when you are finished editing the. I don't have CS6 installed, but I think he allowed you to work on individual files without defining a site beforehand, and some people used it to edit files in situs, that is what it looks like you do. It is no longer possible in Dreamweaver CM³. You must define a site to be able to edit a file.

Dreamweaver CS6 is is no longer officially supported. If it works well otherwise, I think that you'll just have to consider this shift as a reality. You access files on a network link, so there is a latency. Why it happens on one machine but not another is a mystery.

  • Download of existing Web site from the remote server to Dreamweaver CC 2015

I need to download a website, designed originally in 2002 using MS FrontPage and more recently managed using MS Expression Studio 4 Web Professional, from my server to my computer using hosting service newly installed Dreamweaver CC 2015.

I've never used Dreamweaver before, and information online using Dreamweaver is apparently to date with the latest version of Dreamweaver.  So far, everything I've tried has failed for one reason or another.  To be precise, because of a problem computer I lost the local version of my Web site that has been stored on my computer.  Later, I created an empty folder on my computer and tried to connect with the remote service hosting server so that I can download my Web site, but nothing works.  I get error messages in one way or another, right from the beginning and nothing on my computer screen is in agreement with the steps indicated, "using Dreamweaver / connect to a remote server" instructions that I downloaded on the Web.

I need detailed instructions, step by step, how to connect to the server and upload my site on my computer.  The instructions must be compatible with what is actually happening using Dreamweaver CC 2015.  I'm new to Dreamweaver and have no experience with it.  And Microsoft no longer supports Expression Studio, it is virtually impossible for me to reinstall it on my computer.

Connect to your remote server by adding in your FTP credentials during the process of site definition (user name, password, root folder and to the address of the server). You get this info from your host and save it in your site settings in the Site > Manage Sites > click the site > Edit > servers (hit the + to create a new server if you have not already).

To connect to your server once the info has been added to the Site definition, open the files window (window > files, or F8 if it is not open), and then click the Connect button (icon). You can then hit the expand button (icon of two places) to see a representation next to your files the and remote. Click the Get button (down arrow) to download all files available the folder root of your site on your local computer.

As I mentioned earlier, you have still questions whether FrontPage extensions have been used on the site. Who are the property of FrontPage and is not something that you can work with out of Dreamweaver. So, if you have determined that a redesign is out of the question, or not, may be irrelevant. You may have to, or find an old copy of FrontPage somewhere, in order to continue to work with your site in the way you could before.
