Remove an imported image replaces another

I hope I'm not that the bad sense!

I created a 0:49 video to demonstrate something strange that happened in InDesign and estimated that it would be the best way to describe it... it is a link to the video on Google Drive. Just a little curious if there is no logical explanation for this... Thank you!

I didn't say it exists on your monitor only, I said this is a problem of screen only and is quite normal when transparency is involved.

But you're not going to tell me, that you only place the CMYK images in InDesign? Isn't it? Graphics, ok, but imagages? You should use RGB images. http://InDesignSecrets.com/import-RGB-images-InDesign-convert-CMYK-export.php

If you need to make changes to a PDF file, use Acrobat, not Photoshop. And the art of the pixelation would require 4 x high resolution which causes an amount of 16 x size of the file to get the same result as a vector.

  • Remove the imported chips and replace them by paragraph Style

I imported a large number of documents to PDF and I need to remove the text format for the numbering of lettering and balls and replace them with paragraph styles. I find it difficult to arrive at a text or grep search and replace for it.

So far I managed to assign bullets paragraph style, but I can't seem to remove the imported point. This is my poor attempt a search and replace. I guess it's possible to do it also for lettering and numbering?

    Screen Shot 2016-04-20 at 15.06.36.png

and that's what it looks like after the change with the ball remaining.

    Screen Shot 2016-04-20 at 15.13.17.png

Good question! Can anyone chime in with the 1-step process, but it is darn fast than two, especially if you save the first query:

    • Search: Bullet tab
    • Change of: Para style balls
    • All changes

    • Click on the trash can to delete the paragraph style
    • All changes

    Fact.

With GREP, you might find one or several characters followed in a tab at the beginning of a paragraph (^. + ^ t) to locate any list, but you would need to set the style of bullets to bullets, the style of numbering of numbers and the AlphaNumbering style to the letters, so I don't see a benefit.

  • How to import images continuously in my photo library?

I discovered another disappointing aspect of photos. When I import images in the photos, I assumed that they would remain in the library after I deleted the temporary folder on my system. Unlike iPhoto, you can see on the pictures, but you can't do anything with them, because it looks for the original file. How to import images so that they remain in my photo library?

    Change your preferences of Photos.

You probably disabled the option "pictures > Preferences > General: import: copy items in the photo library.

This option must be enabled, or Photos will reference just the pictures stored outside the library in their original location.

Make sure that this option is enabled. See Help for this Page: https://help.apple.com/photos/mac/1.0/?lang=en#/pht12e7a8015

For photos that you imported earlier, which are always referenced outside the library, select all the pictures, then use the command "file > consolidate" to copy in the library. After that, Photos will manage them.

  • cannot import images into lightroom cc using Mac

everything I try to import images of the map, I get a message that says lightroom could not read image. The card reader works because I can import pictures from another app like iPhoto.

The most common problem for errors "failed to read", it's that your destination folder has WRITE permissions added.

In your LR import dialog box, verify that the destination folder is where you want it to be and correctly spelt.

Then, using the Finder, go to this folder and make sure that your username has both READ and WRITE access to this folder and its parent.

  • Trying to superimpose an image over another image

Just installed Photoshop, I'm trying to superimpose an image over another image.

I need 4 motorcycles all looked in a curve, and I just want to see the right edge of each bike, one behind the other.

1st, I need to remove all solid colors, a drawing of each sketch is all I want.

Then, I need to move the smaller bike in front of the 2nd bike, the 3rd, then the 4th...

Try to make a logo for a T-Shirt to use at a motorcycle rally.

Thanks in advance for the schooling of a neophyte... I can push bytes, but no image...

    John

STAT by tracing a path around each bike image. Use the pen tool for maximum flexibility.

Note: The pen tool can be quite difficult for beginners. But it is worth the time.

Once you have the drawn contours of the pen you can put them in a new blank document. In the Trace Panel. Option/Alt click on the thumbnail of path (there should only be one). Edition > copy.

Switch to the new document and publishing > paste. Double-click the thumbnail of the path and name of the path. Click in an empty area of the path Panel.

Repeat with the other 3 paths of the remaining images.

Create a new layer in the layers panel.

Option/Alt click on the first path in the Trace Panel.

Select the brush (B) tool to make edge hard about 5 pixels.

In the Panel traced down, you will see a circle icon. Click it to stroke the path with brush that you just made.

If it's the right size, then repeat with the other paths and don't forget, you create a new layer for each.

If the size of the brush was not correct, cancel and set the size of the brush. Repeat the race.

The aura features a transparent are interior makes it possible to fill.

Command/Ctrl click on the appropriate path. Edit > fill... Select the desired fill color.

With the bikes on layers, you can move layers independently for good order.

When you import images in LR5 on my laptop, the photos all have a broad yellow streak through them. This only happens on the laptop; I can import the images on my LR Office and he's not the streak of color.   Can anyone help?

This happens even with pictures taken on another device, not just mine.  My daughter told me that the phone fell recently.  The yellow streak isn't nowhere elsewhere on the laptop, right on the photos in LR.

It happens when you import new images. This pourrait indicate that the sector where the pictures are copied to is damaged. But it could be a faulty card reader or a bad cable if you connect the camera directly to the computer. It's a hardware problem. Your challenge is to figure out where this problem.

  • How can I remove all the images duplicate in a clip?

I work with images captured from a game engine on a Mac.  When the graphics intense treatment get the graphics card of hard to follow.  What ends by goes, is that the map continues out of each image (for example, it ignores not frames), but is only able to do so at a reduced pace - say five images per second.  The cap Screen Capture software just at a rate predetermined - say, 30 frames per second.  The result is that the captured clip has loads of duplicate sequential images.  The positive point is that, since no frames have been ignored you get a reading of sweet butter if manually (laboriously) remove you each image to chip away at.

Yes, is there a tool that will automate this process?  There is a script that does exactly what I need is called Frame Duplicate Remover available in the framework of Duplicate Remover - aescripts + aeplugins - aescripts.com , but unfortunately, this script is not compatible with after effects CC.  Can anyone think of another option for After Effects or Premiere?  Ideally it would save on audio for executives to chew as well.

    Thank you

    Hales

Well, as a tenant CC, you also have access to AE CS6, and could work in the script you mention.   You can download it, immediately update and give it a whirl.  It will not interfere with other versions of AE on your machine.

It's a pretty handy script; don't know.  It is also remarkable that removing duplicate frames does not affect the speed of movement.  Who would have thought.

  • Invert the mask of clipping with imported image

I have a rectangle on an image larger and imported, and I would like to get rid of this area which covers the ractangle. Clipping mask does the opposite, getting rid of the outside area and pathfinder only works for traces, not imported images. I'm a little confused on this and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on this.

    Thank you!

Yes, you can get the best results with an opacity mask. Remove the box that you want to knock it out of your black color image, select the image and the black box and in the transparency Panel click make masks. Then uncheck the Clip. You should see the center of the image, knocking out where was the box, and you should have Clip and mask that reverse the two deselected.

  • Best way to import images

I'm looking for the best way to import pictures to my Mac. I currently use iMovie to import my images, because I come from the end of 'consumers users', but I'm looking for more professional way.

All of my cameras use SD cards and put all the images in a folder/quicktime file called "PRIVATE". It's all my research, AVCHD. When you import into iMovie, it seems what I push in 60 fps down to 29.97, that's why I was looking for another way. -Another question is also, when I import iMovie, which makes the 'Mac' images only until his change, that sucks. I need a good way to import images in case I ever need to use a Windows machine. iMovie puts the icon (AIC) on the files.

One of the cameras with which the footage was shot was a JVC GZ-HM35BUSD. (Some cheap Wal-Mart camcorder), but the other (same AVCHD Formate) images were shot using a really expensive sony camcorder. ($600). (Not sure of the name)

    Thank you

    David

I have directly from AVCHD editing all the time and it works fine for me on several systems, including an older macbook pro. I suggest avoiding if possible the transcoding. It takes a lot of time and if you don't do this right, you could surcompresse and a generational loss.

I would not go and delete unused items after I'm done editing, just to save space. Also, if it's projects, I don't care, I sometimes export final movie into something easily playable outside the Organization (like mov or mp4) and then delete all the media source. This is NOT recommended if you work in a professional manner. In this case, you must check in all. But for prosumers, there may be a lot of projects where you just want to put together a quick edit and then export it as a final movie for viewing online or elsewhere. In this case, you cannot hold on to all your layer to always source footage.

It really varies by user, but like I said, if you work professionally, or aspiring to, you'll need a way to archive and back up these archives. If you work from the band, then comes the labelling and store the tapes are an acceptable backup for the media associated with a certain project (of course, you will still need to save and save the project itself). But if you work from tapeless formats, then you will need several hard drives with lots of space, archive and everything back up. The good news is that hard drives get less expensive, bigger and stronger all the time. I had two lacie 1 TB hd for a few years now with zero problems (before there 2 lacie 500 GB for many years, also with 0 problems). But I'm still parnaoid that #1 will go while #2 is still in the Act of saving. Or they'll both go at the same time. Ouch.

  • Import image - error 'cannot get all the files for this device. "

Try to import images from my camera - Canon T3i.  Using both the SD card inserted into a reader and camera with battery connected USB Gets the error "unable to get all the files on this device. Please make sure that the equipment is connected correctly, or that the battery is charged. Okay, found the problem.  Apparently the PSE does not like RAID1 arrays, which is a bit ironic, beings that she deals with photos, and people tend to do not like losing pictures.  Newho, if anyone has this problem in the future, as workaround for Adobe not have their stuff together, rather than import directly to a RAID 1 has HARD drive table, import them on another drive, then copy them to your RAID array.  Very disruptive and I wish adobe would just fix their problems (no other program has this issue, even video editing software... «and RAID 1 should really be used for that), but to use it as a workaround if necessary.»
