Remove the material

I have upgraded to Windows 8 and whenever I try to eject my flash drive it says that the device is currently in use. But I closed out of all the windows that I used with my flash drive. It seems that the only thing I can do to help it needs to restart my computer, is there anything I can do so I won't always have to restart my computer to remove my flash drive?

Add again safely remove shortcut on the desktop by using:

%windir%\system32\RunDll32.exe shell32.dll, Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll

Locked files prohibit the removal of USB. Diagnose and fix using these.

  • Remove the material creates the disk activity

I have an external hard drive, it is encrypted for Bitlocker. I have only checked in the performance monitor, there is absolutely no activity on this drive. Then I try safely remove the player and boom, Security Essentials comes in some internal (system volume or almost) directories. Then there is the system that accesses $Mft and other things and then comes an error that the drive is in use and cannot be deleted. No idea what is wrong and what can I do to solve this problem (unless you finish the session or restart the system). Y at - it no harm in simply pulling the plug when there is no activity?

  • Problem of USB ports: remove the material does not work. It works on different computers for the same USB devices

Original title: problem of USB ports:

I have a computer dell laptop inspiron d1420 provided with Windows vista and I have upgraded to Windows 7 ultimate, I noticed that when I plug in a USB mass storage, when I try to remove it, I don't get the safe delete the message and lately when I try to remove it, I keep getting the message He's busy and I can't remove it. I tried the same USB on another PC and I have no problem at all. I connected a printer, USB cable and wondows llok have not the driver or didn't install the printer, he left as a device not specified with the name of the printer, but I can't print. I tried with another PC that is also running Windows 7 ultimate and I have no problem, windows has installed the driver, because I used the same printer and the same cable. What is the problem with my USB 4 ports and how to fix?

    Hello

When you get this message while trying to remove a USB, it's basically a lock for this USB device by some process running on the computer. If we know which process is this locking mechanism, we could also find which Service is associated with this problem in the computer.

To check this, you can use a program called Process Explorer. You can download this program from the following link. Once downloaded, extract the contents of the zip downloaded to a folder on your desktop. Inside this folder, you will see a file by the name of procexp , which is the executable for Process Explorer. The download link is:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896653

First, plug the USB to one of the USB ports. Then, once you have the executable to Process Explorer, right-click on it and then click run as administrator. Please allow all guests UAC can occur. Once the Process Explorer is running, please follow these steps to search for processes using the USB at the moment:

    1. click on Searchand then click on manage to find them or DLL on the options menu at the top.

    2. then in the pop - up which will turn up next, type the drive letter for the USB drive connected to the computer (for example G: or H:) right now and click on Search.

    3. he should then display all instances of the process that is using this USB at the moment with the corresponding process ID (PID).

Now, once you have the names of processes using the USB at this time, you can terminate them by clicking on them and then clicking on Manage close. Once this is done, you should be able to eject the USB safely.

I would like to ask the names of processes lock the drive in your computer. This should give us an idea of what we might have to take the next.

In addition, for the other issue that you mentioned, in which the computer does not automatically and correctly detects the printer when it is connected to the computer, I suggest you to check whether or not your computer Plug-and-Play service is set to automatic. Here's how you can do this:

    1. press the Windows and the R on your keyboard to get to the top of the run box.

    2. type Services.msc in the run box and press enter on the keyboard. Allow all UAC prompts that may coming up next.

    3. once it opens the window of the Services for you, scroll down to the Plug-and-Play service and double-click it.

    4. in the properties box that will come next, the Startup type should be set to Auto and the Status of the Service must be started. If this isn't the case, please put these values.

    5. click on apply then OK, close all windows in the computer and restart the computer once.

Once these steps was performed, please check if the problem remains the same. We know the results.

I hope that these steps raises you in the right direction in order to solve this problem. Don't answer if you still need assistance, we will be happy to be of assistance.

    Hello

I have no version of ESX 3.0 coming down more, but you can try to do it by using vimsh as follows:

Connect to the Console on your ESX host and enter as root:

    vimsh

Now to get the ID of your virtual machine in question for help (scroll through using shift page up / page down if you must)

    vmsvc/getallvms

Note the ID of virtual machine, for example, it can be a number like 4400

Find the key to your VirtualCDrom by querying the hardware devices to your virtual machine.

    vmsvc/device.getdevices 4400

Scroll to the top again and note the key, in my case, it's 3000

Now, disconnect the CD-ROM device by running:

    vmsvc/device.connection 4400 3000 false

Use true if you want to connect the device.

Just tested on VMware ESX3.5 and it worked very well there.

  • Satellite Pro P300 - remove the HARD drive to make a backup?

My P300 went to my local store to repair for a network card problem. I thought it was just a software problem or driver, so I wasn't worried that my machine is still under warranty. After investigation, they stated that they could not resolve the issue, so would be to reformat and reinstall the OS, they thought they should solve the problem.

To my horror, I found that they had broken the seals of guarantee and open to the top of the machine. They claimed the only way to save the P300 before reformat it, is to remove the HARD drive!
    Is this true?
(It turns out that a broken chip is to blame, but because they violated the warranty, Toshiba will not touch!)

Can anyone say about this the removal of HD to support it please?

    Hey,.

Normally it of not necessary to restore the factory settings with to remove the HARD drive but don t you worry about this. The laptop can still be opened from a service provider authorized without losing the warranty.

I also put t know why they did, perhaps they have checked the material. It would be possible because they have professional diagnostic tools.

But interesting to know whether or not your problem is now resolved?

  • How to remove the random delay to the extent

    Hi guys

I had a little problem with a measure that I do in a subvi. Take a look at the picture (do not laugh please )

    Some first explanations:

I put online a digital high in order to initialize a piece of hardware.

Can I activate two relays. Time zero (T0).

Then I have to activate the piece of hardware that I've initialized at startup.

In the meantime enabled I do measure (here called Maling). The measure is 40 channels. I do measure on 10 circuits. Each of the 3 voltages and current measurement 1. Tensions are CSR and the current is differential. Sampling is 1000 samples at 1 kHz, which gives me a resolution of 1 sample every ms.

After the measurement, I turn off the relay and the piece of hardware that I've initialized at startup.

The collected data is transformed into an array of 40 lines and columns of 1000 with the data. In my loop for I extracted the data and make a comparison and put the data in a chart.

    Here's my problem:

I get a random delay on each measure. I used to get the tickcount OpenG (could use framing). In the x - y indicator, I get 1060-1072 - ish milliseconds. I tried to subtract the 1000 ms of measure and delay of 60-72-ish "millisecond" added to my chart and dataindicators, but it does not work. When I use oscilloscope on 10 channels, I get the same measurement each time. When I do in Labview, it becomes worng because of the delay. I get exactly the same extent as the oscilloscope.

    In my own defense:

I used the DAQ Assistant, because it gives me the wiring diagram of the material on my series M of NI USB-6225. Also I am not yet familiar with the implementation of the data acquisition without help. Yes, I looked at the forum and the examplefinder, but I spend too much time on this compared to help data acquisition.

My measure should start just after the relay was activated. I think maybe using trigger on a clock internal, but not quite sure if it will help on the delay. My thoughts of setting this up would not use the DAQ help. Set up channels by using a loop For and do the measurement.

You can maybe share some thoughts around the problem of delay and perhaps give me a clue on where to begin to remove this time limit. My DAQ should be ok because he has a limit of 250 k samples/s and I use it only 40 k samples. Do you think that the delay that I measure either before or after the measurement of 1000 ms?

    Kind regards

    Even

My first reaction is that you are activating the fuses in parallel with your time of measurement and measurement on both. Move your clock of departure according to plunger PA and only to measure the time of Maling for beginners.

    (RelePWR-> Fuze Center-> time-> Maling-> time)

  • CAN grasp the material master Timebase rate returns an error with new hardware OR XNET

    Hi all

I have a project that communicates on a CAN bus. It has always worked well with a PCI-CAN/2 card, but when I tried to use it in combination with an NI PCI-8512 (NOR-XNET) newly purchased card, it returns the following error:

"1074388560 error has occurred CAN set material master Timebase Rate.vi

NI-CAN: (Hex0xBFF621B0) the specified feature has a drawing or model under the NI_CAN which can be made compatible with the hardware, NI - XNET CAN. »

Yes, I have installed the NOR-XNET for NI-CAN compatibility library.

The error occurs during the initialization of the RTSI connections for synchronization, that VI is attached.

I guess that this code is based on an example found in LabView.

When I remove the BOX: block Set (material master time base rate) property, there is no error and the rest of the application seems to work very well.

Can someone explain what is / was some timebase setting the internal clock of 10 MHz before connecting a RTSI line for her?

Are there side effects caused by the elimination of this step?

Should I still include if I run the application in combination with the old card PCI-CAN/2?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Pianne,

Based on our discussion in class, it seems indeed as part of your existing code is written in a very specific way which is not entirely compatible with the XNET approach.

Indeed, it would be useful to have 2 separate versions of this init VI (and other CAN-code) of your code and allow you to decide which one to run your top-level application, depending on the setting used.
A HAL as approach could still be used in this case.

  • How to remove the keyboard on hp-dm1-4050us?

My hp-dm1-4050us keyboard is broken, Enter/return back, space, up, down keys unresponsive, but all other keys work fine.  Drivers and other software solutions do not work, enough course that material is just kaput.

I have a replacement keyboard, but it is unclear how to safely remove the original. I removed the battery and checked for screws/bolts that hold the keyboard instead of the bottom, but do not see, and there is no other removable panels or compartments.

Is this keyboard designed just to be pried off of on the edges, or is there another way?

  • Safely remove the device with VISTA is not infallible

I have a HP Pavilion Slimline nine running Vista.

I plug a USB key or an external hard drive and it reads very well.

I have try the safely eject button, and the light on my memory stick stays on. With XP, it came out, and I knew that I could remove the stick. It goes the same for my external hard drive... Done, I could hear that he stop and watch out slight shift when I used the feature of MATERIAL in any SAFETY REMOVE (SRH) of XP.

Not the case with VISTA. After completing the SRH steps, these devices always seem to be on.

I read that Vista not turn off light after things are ejected... is - it true?
    Any suggestions?

Are there any patches or downloadable patches?

    Hello walden1,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Community Forum.

The only time where SRH did not finish is when there is an application or a service that is always access the drive somehow.  I fyou're sure there is no transfer, then you can disconnect with the safety of the food.  themajin concern is when access to the data or transfer is underway.

-J' read that Vista not turn off light after things are ejected... is - it true?
It has been my experience that it's false.  Once ejected, using SRH or not the light turns off and the player is uninstalled.  Now, if you use memory for ready boost of course light remains lit and SRH still not eject it.  So maybe it's somehting that you'll want to check.  If your right click the drive in the Solution Explorer, then select properties the last tab should be the tab ready boost and you can switch if and how much of the training will be used for this.

    Thank you

  • You can remove the CPU of a heatsink fan without removing the radiator?

Well, I play games on my laptop and I think I have exhausted my fan. It's about does not and I get an error when I start my laptop (error 90 b). I want to replace it with the right fan but I would also save time and money by removing just the radiator cooling fan. Is it also possible to prevent overheating with the new fan in my laptop? Is another question, possible for the processor to change in this laptop?

Laptop: HP Pavilion G7-2269wm, Windows 8.1

You all rest of the warranty!

screw on the radiator fan & I would like to only by the fan.

Reconstruction will require good thermal paste like artic silver ceramic (good for laptops) also check how all chips in contact with the heat sink as if not under a load or using the soft thermal pads do editing of the slipways (measured correctly) copper will have big gains for cooling & life of the material.

CPU is variable, but upgrade options will be limited, consult the manual of the hp (support download) for possible options of better equipped models of processor...
