Repair keyboard DV7-7135us

The guide to maintenance and service dv7-7135us said that to remove the front keyboard screws replacement only 2 and push the keyboard back "press the back of the keyboard by opening in the optical drive bay until it disengages the keyboard from the computer."

How much force/how much travel is necessary?

1/2 "" / 1 "and if only 2 screws are now in, it hurt to remove all the screws in the back?"

There is a screw under the radio?

Discussed very badly.

Help me.

Thank you

Here is the picture from the Manual:

The keyboard is held with the tabs little sit under the rim of the opening in the top cover. You have to push, it is quite difficult to disengage from these tabs. Only two screws through the bottom of the computer and hold the small spacers brass in the back of the keyboard. You must remove the two screws to allow the keyboard to jump off. Look at the lip of the keyboard of the opening in the cover top (on the other side of the laptop of this photo) and part of the edge of the elevators keyboard above to get a small plastic spatula in there as soon as the market around the perimeter until the keyboard is clear. You can exercise a good amount of force and move the keyboard upwards (deviate as you say) a good distance (maybe an inch or a little more). the keyboard is quite flexible.

  • Windows 7 x 64 - HP DV7 - 7135US - USB 3.0 does not not at all ports

I have a HP DV7-7135US causing me severe headaches.

For the past month I lost access to my USB 3.0 ports. They do nothing - NOTHING.

I went to the road to reinstall the Intel chipset drivers and drivers USB 3.0 Intel and HP. When I plug anything into the ports, it's as if I did nothing at all. USB keys are not detected, it is as if the ports have been disconnected from the motherboard. USB 2.0 and 3.0 external drives are not detected, or they try to turn or show any activity on their LEDs.

I also went the road to reinstall the operating system from the ground up (I hate that loads the OEM manufacturers put on their systems!), only install HP drivers and applications on the HP site. I also did the same thing but only install drivers from the Intel Web site - yet - nothing.

Nothing related to USB only appears in all the event log.

    A single USB 2.0 port works fine - 100%.

Any feedback is GREATLY appreciated! I really wouldn't know this to send to warranty work - I got it since September!

    Thank you!

  • DV7-7135us graphics card?

I just want to know if my phone is compatible to because at the section nvidia graphics card drivers there are driver nvidia inside? or is it already in my laptop?

    Hello:

You are unable to pass the video card in your laptop without having to replace the motherboard together, that you would be back almost as much as the purchase of a new laptop computer with better graphics.

Your model does not have graphics discrete nVidia. It has the Intel UMA HD video card.

See the page on the next card.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03364849

You see a driver for nVidia graphics is because HP just lists all the drivers available for the entire series on support of all models and the driver page.  Some other dv7-7xxx models have the nVidia graphics cards.

I guess it's easier to do it this way.

  • Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop keyboard, it's that act as if the keys are pressed in 2 second intervals.

Well, I mean about 6 months or if there is, we encountered a small problem with our laptop RAM and had it fixed by a professional. Since our RAM and CPU speed increased a little, however our keyboard seems to be on the fritz.

I can't really explain or take screenshots of it in the law, but I will try my best. It seems that whenever I try to play a game, my keyboard gives to think I'm pressing '=' to an interval of 2 seconds. Recently, my sister tried to play "The Sims 2" on our PC and this problem appeared to cancel out all the actions that she wanted to make the game, as the selection of an object for the character to use, IE if she wanted to choose a furnace for a character to use, she would select it and have the small action menu pop up , but before she could select an action, the action menu would disappear. When I try to play a game, as "Half Life 2", I often change keys in order to adapt to my style of play, but when I try to change a key related, automatically "supports" the '=' button until I can manually select the key I want to bind to this control.

I have never experienced this problem before we had our computer fixed and this problem seems to have no effect on typing programs such as Microsoft Word or Notepad or even this dialog, it doesn't seem to pop up in games so far, as far as I know, that he might happen while I'm typing this. It's just a minor annoyance, but it's a mystery that I can't solve. Any help or other questions that I can answer on the problem will be warmly welcomed. Thank you!

    Hello

Looks like the other repair keyboard problem and it looks like not material. No doubt
better to take this back to the place which sets memory.

Control Panel - keyboard - look for a reset to the default values or other settings to fix the problem.

  • Laptop keyboard repair center took the picture of is not the same as the one I sent by mail in

A little more than a week, I sent my laptop DV7 in HP for the fixed sound, apparently the sound holes had gone wrong. Nothing else was wrong with the machine.  I had worked with the technician to chat for about 45 minutes, allowing access to the computer and everything he could find it is than its neeed replacement hardware ports. Still, the machine was working beautifully except for the sound. After that I got the box, I've had packed it correctly and picked up by FedEx. After a week I get a support call telling me there is water or liquid damage not covered by the warranty, I want to pay $240 to get it fixed. I knew there were never water damage to my machine. I was talking with him and it came down to fifty percent to $117. I was not happy. But later, when I got the photos, I knew that photo of the keyboard with the tasks of water it was not mine. I called and this person has allowed me to go up the scale to climbing team. I was reminded and fees I paid with a credit card could not be charged or refunded. I was happy about it until...

Until I got this note about repair and parts required for the repair

    FAN - HEAT SINK

    1 685445-001 MOTHERBOARD

    TOP OF 684559-001 - TOUCHPAD COVER 1

    KEYBOARD 685445-001

All these parts were bad, I could not have continued to use my machine without any problems for 2 days, and still less to enable a tech to enter my machine with the applet, I installed to see inside and to control. Everything that was wrong with the machine, I sent was scientifically. The machine they say is fixed is not mine. And, as I said, the picture of the keyboard water tinted / control pad almost looks photoshopped. It was not the machine that I had put in the FedEx box a week before. Everyone has heard something like that?  Still, this machine had no water damage ever while I had it. What HP service set hand on, it is something like this.

I get a machine on Tuesday. I don't even know, after all that be my machine. I know I've had several stickers on the top of the machine, so this will be a test. Of course to find the serial number may be next, not sure about this. I always let HP go in my machine when I chat online to help find all of this information. But, my Lord, the photos sent to me were horrible. As something left outside in the rain for days. This machine has been wonderful and I never would have allowed anything to what HP said had happened. I'm sure, as I said, I would not have been able to use it for several days as I waited for the box so it's like the service center said and sent photos of. I am at a loss. All this would be just a mistake? Again, I will see Tuesday, April 1 and write here what is what.

UPDATE: although not an explanation of the mystery, HP really made up for all the worries and confusion of the mysterious water damage. I am very happy all around.

Thank you. But my HP escalation manager did any good yesterday.

  • DV7-4130sa return of warranty repair and...

    Hello

Hope someone can help with my problem.

I bought a new DV7-4130sa of the month beginning, unpacked, set up, and noticed he had problems with the keyboard. Basically the space bar worked fine, then I'm HP support by email and after a few exchanges of messages, it was agreed that a collection of the machine was necessary. A week passed and he returns today with a piece of work advising the keyboard has been replaced and the BIOS has also been updated.

Now to my problem... When I turn on the machine, just after the HP logo it says...

«Wireless network device not detected 104.» System stopped. Remove device and restart. »

I can't jump pass that it - the only choice is to turn off. I googled and some suggestions are it is a BIOS problem?  That was well before he sent away!

I figured as well, even if I was just checking there wasn't a way to work around the error and difficulty through the windows.

After going on a few possible solutions by phone and after a few dissambley, collection was organized again and he comes back a few days ago. According to the worksheet 2, its had replaced wireless adapter and an another BIOS update.

Replacement keyboard is much better than the original. Everything looks OK now. Bit disappointed that a brand new laptop had to come back for repair twice, but overall, good service. I hope it will be the end of all problems.

  • (Space key) Apple wireless keyboard is repairable?

My old wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard of 5 years was apparently a defective key space bar. The problem is not with the elastic key mechanism, but with the actual connection of keys hidden in the body of the keyboard. I heard that it is NOT repairable. Is this true?

The keyboard had other less critical problems as well. He loved, from time to time, is not to get paired with my iMac, so I had to switch to a reserve USB keyboard. However, when the offender has been almost left that she paired and reconnected himself by himself.

Should I throw in and buy the new keyboard of magic? -I don't like the connection of the USB cable.

Sorry, but your question has nothing to do with Apple networks. I suggest that you resubmit your message in the screen area of the Apple Support communities in order to get a potential solution.
