Repeatedly offered four updates of windows.

Original title: MICROSOFT UPDATES
I would be very happy if you would help solve me the following problem.

I run WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL with service pack 3, every time, for

stuck on threeweeks, I start my computer the startup toolbar includes the yellow shield of MS

telling me that I have four updates; I have install properly. When I stop

my computer, I get a message saying that I have four updates to install, (same updates

as when starting) I have install properly.

This happens everytime I use my computer; always the same four updates.

Any ideas?

  • Repeated installation of updates of windows

I have Windows 7, waiting for the 10 upgrade.  Recently, in the last 3 weeks, every time that I stop, the system wants to install 2 updates.  I assumed it was the same 2 updated, and so I ran subsequently a Security Essentials Full Scan, which took more than 2 hours and reported no problems.  This seemed to work, for an open and closed.  However, the problem reappeared and is always repeated.

Someone at - it any other suggestions on what I could do.  I hope that the upgrade to Windows 10 will eliminate this problem, but am concerned a breach of security.
