Replace JDK path in ODI 12 c

Hello

Does anyone know how to change the JDK path in ODI Studio 12 c (Windows Server)?

It is very easy in 11G (setJavaHome to odi.conf) but does not work in 12 c

I read Doc-ID 1982740.1 but nothing useful

To change the path to the JDK in ODI Studio 12 c

Navigate to the following directory (replace "exampleuser" by your windows account name):

On Windows XP:

C:\Documents and programa\odi\1.0.0.0.0 Settings\exampleuser\Datos

On a Windows 7:

C:\Users\exampleuser\AppData\Roaming\odi

Publishing file 'product.conf', it is the content should be something like this:

SetJavaHome C:\Archivos programa\Java\jdk1.7.0_79

    Hello

I would like to change the JDK my WLS uses another version that I installed.

It now points to the value default JDK in my server, I'm not comfortable with.

Can I know where can I put it so that it points to the other version without affecting the use my server?

Please let me know if I'm not clear, thank you.

    Hello

You must find the current JDK in your installation of software and your field and replace the path with the path to your new JDK.

    Under Linux, you can do:

    grep -R jrockit90_150_06 /pathToMySoftwareDir/

If you are using Linux/Unix, then it is easy to replace it through sed. Here are some examples:

    sed -i 's/\/data\/app\/bea\/product\/wls92\/jrockit90_150_06/\/data\/app\/bea\/product\/jrockit-jdk1.5.0_24-R28.1.0-4.0.1/g' /data/app/bea/product/wls92/utils/bsu/bsu.sh
    sed -i 's/\/data\/app\/bea\/product\/wls92\/jrockit90_150_06/\/data\/app\/bea\/product\/jrockit-jdk1.5.0_24-R28.1.0-4.0.1/g' /data/app/bea/domains/mydomain/bin/setDomainEnv.sh

Moreover, we have started using softlink/symbolic links as an alias for the installation of Java. Then you most recent must do again the above operation. Here are the commands for Linux and Windows:

    ln -s /data/app/bea/product/jrockit-jdk1.5.0_28-R28.1.3-4.0.1 /data/app/bea/product/java_current

    mklink /d D:\oracle\product\java_current D:\oracle\product\jrockit-jdk1.6.0_24-R28.1.3-4.0.1

  • ODI 11g Installation Error (JDK).

    Hello

    I have a problem with installing ODI 11 g under Windows 7 (64-bit). I installed the 32-bit version of jdk (jdk1.7.0).

When I run the setup.exe (run as administrator), Universal Oracle install starts, but must specify the path to the JDK

"Preparation for the launch of Oracle Universal Installer from C:\Users\*. Please wait...
"Please specify JDK (Ex./home/jdk), < location > location/bin/java must exist:

When I entered a path like C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0\bin , it gives msg as)
Please specify a valid JDK location:

    Thank you

    Hi yogesh,

As has been pointed out by Marc, you will need to use the path to the JDK, not the JRE, when starting the installer.

    * 1. * you said your for the JDK installation path is "C:\Java\bin". The java.exe application sits within this folder?
    * 2. * Installer, change the value for the jreLoc - for example, if #1 above is true.
    D:\Work\Softwares\Odi Setup\ofm_odi_generic_11.1.1.6.0_disk1_1of2\Disk1\install\win64>setup.exe - jreLoc C:\Java\bin

A default installation of the JDK path is C:\java\jdk1.7. In this way, the file bin\java.exe and demand exist. The jreLoc - wants you to provide the path of C:\java\jdk1.7. I can't tell where the java.exe application based on the information provided, but you get the idea.

  • Question home Oracle ODI

    Hi all..

    help out me...

I did first ODI and installed SDK studio to C:\Oracle\ODI_DEV during the first inning.

Now, I installed autonomous agent, and he asked that ODI has detected an existing ODI home, I think that his C:\Oracle\ODI_DEV, so do you want to upgrade the existing House? Select Yes to upgrade this House existing and not to change the home ODI.

I Yes... now I see in start all programs, it is below:

    | Oracle | Oracle Data Integrator | Studio of ODI and uninstall

    and

    | Oracle | Oracle Data Integrator (2) | Stand-alone agent, Stand alone ODIphy agent and uninstall

But at C:\Oracle\ODI_DEV, I see that and no C:\Oracle\ODI_DEV1 or 2...

Then why start all programs I see Oracle Data Integrator and Oracle Data Integrator (2)... I wanted to have everything under Oracle Data Integrator only...

This will affect me in anything... anyway I can fix it now? /

    Thank you

    Hello rickepm,

It's because of you first installed studio ODI and SDK and once again for the second time that you installed autonomous Agent so during the second config installation it will ask you the path for ODI home and you selected the same way because we have need of an empty path if we do not want this prompt on the right , so IE selecting ""and he asked that the ODI has detected an existing ' ODI home, then after that the autonomous agent, it will take another folder in startup programs why because this is nothing but a shortcut and a shortcut will not have same name it must be different, as now, in your system " , it should be as 'Oracle Data Integrator' and ' Oracle Data Integrator (2) ".

So don't worry what are shortcuts it will not effect you whatever it is and autonomous agent is configured on the same path of ODI.

    Kind regards

  • Store file path - best practices

I have a database that stores the path to the images that are loaded in a page.  All files are stored in the same folder.  My question: is it better to store the path of the entire file in my db or should I simply store the name of the file and make a constant on the Web page requesting the photo?  I think it's the second option, because there is less data in the DB but I wanted to just make sure.

    Thank you!

If the path is always the same, I stock just the names of files. Another option is to create a new field in your table for the path and assign the current path as the default value. When you insert records, simply add the file name; the path field will take just the default.

    In your SQL:

SELECT *, CONCAT(path, filename) AS image
    FROM mytable

If you already have records stored in the table, you can be updated very quickly with two SQL queries:

UPDATE mytable SET path = '/path/to/images/folder/'

    UPDATE mytable SET filename = REPLACE(filename, 'path/to/images/folder/', '')

  • should we empty loading data ODI and move to "Load rules" of Essbase?

    Hello
We use to load data in planning 11.1.1.3's ODI Essbase cubes.
Should move us data loading ODI on "Load rules" of Essbase?
We see no advantage to ODI over aid maxl Essbase calls script loading rules and calc scripts.
One thing he has the advantage on Essbase, is that it can refresh planning. Can you load supporting details and the text in the cell?

You have data from multiple sources, say some data sets are file bases, some are stored in warehouses or books of accounts, you want to collect these data, transform and apply the mapping, to load that data into essbase, you can add Automation around her then that is an example to use ODI to load data into essbase There are many others.
Yes you can do it with maxl, but must eventually bring about more strive to add automation, mappings, error handling etc. as you would if you have walked the path of ODI.
I do not say that you must use it, if you don't see any profit is meaningless.

  • Windows vs ODI planner scheduler

I understand that ODI has a scheduler function to run certain processes. Is he able to replace Windows Task Scheduler ODI scheduled to submit MaxL script or other programs running for Essbase?

    Thanks for your advice.

    Hello

It is possible to create procedures in ODI to execute operating system commands so that means you call scripts to run maxl, you can then use the ODI Scheduler to schedule these scripts to run.
The good thing about the ODI Planner is that it runs on Java, so it is not bound down for windows OS.
