Replace T400 WXGA LCD WXGA +?

Hello

I recently bought a T400 with LCD WXGA 14.1 "- I would like to replace it with a screen 14.1" WXGA +.  Someone has he done this before, to know, or know if it is possible?

Thank you.

That is right. The absence of specification "LED" indicates that it is in fact a CCFL Backlight Panel.

If you buy a LCD replacement on fleebay or love it, I strongly suggest that you make your purchase based on replacement of FRU part number.

Note: If you replace the LCD screen, you will cancel your warranty. Always keep this in mind.

    Hello

I need to replace the LCD screen on my laptop T400 (7417CTO).  The screen is a 14.1 "WXGA TFT with backlight CCFL and the part number is LTN141AT12 (Samsung).

Can someone suggest a reliable dealer?  I found replacement screens at several places, including E - bay but they have poor feedback.  Anyone had good luck with one of these parts suppliers?

    Thank you

    Bob

EBay is probably the cheapest - make sure you just you know the RUF of the part you want and are looking for in this way.

Screentek will give you excellent customer service, but it probably will cost a little more.

  • Re: Satellite M300 - should I replace a damaged LCD screen?

My LCD screen is damaged and almost impossible to use. The laptop is still under warranty, but I understand screen damage are not covered. I don't know even how it happened. I'm not aware of any bump or impact to the unit.

It is better to spend the money to replace the screen or it would be cheaper to buy a new computer? It is a spare computer that is only used if I am away from giant, holidays, at hospital etc.

That the cost would be about, in Australian dollars?

    Thank you

    Hi warrawillah,

I think that it of difficult to tell if you need to replace the screen or buy a new computer. In my opinion it s based on the price of the new view.

You need to contact a service provider authorized in your country. Guys can order all spare parts and if you want to replace it also.

    Good luck!!!

  • Y560 cracked screen - replacing the screen LCD or LED?

    Hello

This can be a very basic question but I have no idea on the issues of material, so I hope someone here can help me - my Lenovo Y560 screen broke with a huge crack on the screen. I need to replace it now, but I don't know whether to go for an LED screen or an LCD screen. Some sellers have contacted me telling me that I need a replacement of light 'paper', while others said that the replacement would be a 'screen '. Prices they proposed for the LED and LCD replacement is Rs 3500 and 5500 Rs respectively.

Should which screen I go for? Help, please! Thank you in advance.

  • Replacing the screen LCD Z30 blackBerry for Z30

I can't find the support Web site of the spare parts for my 30 Z in the Blackberry.ca. I am looking to buy a replacement screen LCD for my BlackBerry 30 Z if possible or any company that sells official part, I can do it myself, I just want to buy, thanks

As Leslie said, eBay and Amazon have them, I've seen them for $45 - $70 each.

Make sure that you don't get the Verizon version, you want the GSM model which is more common.

I replaced mine and helped a friend with a replacement, it is a very simple process to remove the 8 screws and using a pry tool to open the back, disconnect the ribbon cable and then turn everything above.

    Good luck.

  • Replacing the screen LCD Lenovo P500

    Hello

I bought a Lenovo P500 to the United States, but have since moved back to my country, and the local licensed contractor wrote that the model is supported only in the United States.

The LCD screen is cracked (external glass wall has nothing wrong), with cracks 'Web of spider-like' who are spreading slowly throughout the screen. (At least, I assume it's the LCD?)

According to an officer of Lenovo, my two best options would be 1) send the portable whole to the United States with high fees, or 2) control the LCD screen for this model and get a repairman to fix it.

I want to choose option 2 DIY style, so I would like to know:

    (1) the LCD reference number, and perhaps where I could order it from.

    (2) according to your experience, it is the LCD that is cracked? When I touch the outer glass of the laptop he is perfectly fine, and I think the Interior is called the LCD and it's what is cracked... I just want to confirm it.

Of course, if you know other options I have please let me know!

P.S. I didn't buy the warranty of protection against accidental damage.

    Thank you

    Found this at:

    https://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/ThinkPad-T400-T500-and-newer-T/replace-T400-WXGA-LCD-with-WXGA/TD-p/145...

"You can easily change the Panel, WXGA with a WXGA + as long as you don't change a CCFL from an LED backlit panel. The LCD cable is the same for both the WXGA and WXGA + CCFL baclit LCD Panel.

If you want to change out for a LCD backlit LED WXGA +, you also need to it's respective cable LCD, as it is different from that of the cable for the LCD CCFL backlit. »

If your graphics card supports Full HD, follow these guidelines and it can work.

  • Good FRU for replacement of bad X100e LCD?

I have a X100e who is a few months out of warranty; and recently the screen started to go empty (always on, so the backlight is not the problem...). It has been in a State where the angle changes if it lights - sometimes to the top/transfers of pressure lights up the screen. I took apart and found the thick round cable to enter the LCD of the graphics unit (not one of the antennas, maybe DC-in?) was extremely worn out, so that I could see traces of copper. I am guessing that is the question, even if another cable is also possible, I've looked at the hardware Maintenance Manual, but am unsure of what FRU, it corresponds to. What I'd rather do is if possible to replace the entire LCD, complete with cables, but I want to check what I mean. Should FRU parts numbers labels I look for? (I've already replaced the keyboard, as well as the above information should do me if I have correctly diagnosed).

There are 2 choices of cable according to your model 4-digit number. Most of the models use 45M 2885. For that one, and here's one on eBay from a seller, that I use all the time for $9 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lenovo-Thinkpad-X100e-Fru-45M2885-LCD-LED-Video-Cable-Tested-/280830398533?p...

Use of models starting with 3507 45 M 2918, which is hard to find, but you can purchase it from IBM here: http://www-304.ibm.com/shop/americas/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/default/TopCategoriesDisplay?cntrfnbr...

According to your description, I am not 100% sure which part you mean. I sent a PM with my email address and you can send a picture if you wish.

  • SWAP LIVE? X 200 whole LCD Assembly in x200s?

    Hello

I have a friend who needs to change the LCD screen on his x200s 7465-CTO.

Is it possible to exchange an assembly integer WXGA x 200 x 200s that had originally a screen LCD WXGA LCD +?

I realize x 200 and x200s use different cables of LCD screen, but will it work if it switches the entire LCD Assembly? They are physically the same size, form factor, thickness, etc. ? Everything will be upward when the lid is closed and it will close snug and tight?

There is here an interesting discussion, which makes wonder if an x 200 x200s LCD Assembly are an exact swap: http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo/330541-contents-thick-x200-x200s-beazel.html

A search for parts for his original screen:

    42T 0479 T 42, 0480 FLT PNL DS FRU 12.1 WXGA +.

that has LED backlight according to: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-and-parts/detail.page?DocID=PD000633#2

The replacement of the LCD Assembly contains a 12.1 "1280 x 800 WXGA LCD Panel FRU 42T 0510. He has 3 sons wifi and use the backlight CCFL . DIRECTED against CCFL Backlight will be a problem?

OK, so after some googling, I finally found a direct confirmation that you can swap a 200 x any meeting WXGA LCD (CCFL Backlight) with an Assembly of LCD WXGA + x200s (LED backlight) and vice versa.

The 4th post page 1 of this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo/341205-i-wish-lenovo-would-sell-me-what-i-want-between-x200s-...   and 1st post on page 2 were useful: http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo/341205-i-wish-lenovo-would-sell-me-what-i-want-between-x200s-...   (This was a very lively and interesting by the way).

So I'm going to tell my friend to go at full speed before. He wants to fix his x200s LCD WXGA + (1440 x 900) inexpensive, even if it means a downgrade to WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution.

I hope this will help others who are considering such an Exchange. Don't forget you need to switch the whole LCD.

BTW, I found my answer when I did a search on Google for 'x 200 x200s lcd Assembly swap '.

6th on the list was the thread of the other portable computer forum I reference above.

This (my) thread, I had just created, was to come 1st which is good, I guess. Maybe some poor soul looking for an answer to this question can be answered more easily in the future.

P.S. My question seems to have been answered & resolved. However, if there are any x 200 experts out there, I would still love to hear your comments on this issue.

  • Replacing the screen on the Satellite C660-2EH

Hi, I'm looking for a replacement screen for my Satellite C660-2EH and I can't find a specific model. I could buy the generic screen come to label C660? In some I found, for example:

    http://www.laptop-power.co.UK/laptop-screens/Toshiba-compatible/satellite/series-C660/model-C660.html

    http://www.laptopscreenonline.com/Toshiba-Satellite-C660-replacement-screen-laptop-LCD-15982-p.asp

Would appreciate any help that someone could give me on this matter, thank you!
    Zoe.

In my view the two links are OK, and you can't do anything wrong. AFAIK all C660 models use the same LCD display with following specifications:

Display Type - color display TFT LCD
    Size (diagonal) - 15.6 "(HD)
    Resolution - 1366 x 768
    -16:9 aspect ratio
Type of LED lighting - light side.

Only the difference can be a salesman or the brightness to level 8.

When you order this use being it's HD LED screen.

By the way: you want to exchange it only? I mean it's not so easy and if you don t have any experience with this kind of things that you should ask for help.

    Be careful about this.

  • New Satellite A350 - dirt inside the LCD screen

Someone at - experienced this kind of problem? The laptop is new (bought today). "Dirt" covers about 5 pixels (it is not regular) and looks like a gray shadow. Unfortunately, it is placed in a very bad place get my attention: /.

I am sure that these aren't the dead/stuck pixels because I can see it even if the laptop is turned off. To be 100% sure, I did a picture of this 'anomaly' and when I Zoom I see that the pixels work correctly but there is a grey "smudge" above them. I want to download the pictures, but I left my cable somewhere elese.

Can someone tell me if it is covered by the warranty or would I meet problems if I ask for a panel replacement for laptop / LCD monitor?

    Thanks in advance for answers!

    I agree with Akuma.
If something like this happens it is certainly covered by the warranty and authorized maintainer can help you with this.
Addresses and phone numbers, you will find under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads > find an ASP.

  • Update LCD on T60 2008-CTO

    Hello everyone.

I'm trying to replace a screen LCD XGA on my T60 2008-CTO with a SXGA Panel + for more resolution.

According... http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-62784 , the frame numbers match and that should be possible.

So I bought the said Panel of... http://www.ETech.com/item--NYK412-034 and it does not work properly.

For all connected, I get gradually melted into lines of colors on the screen.

If I disconnect and reconnect the control panel while the laptop is turned on, I get a very distorted picture and wrong dimension on it and change the resolution in windows changes the serious distortion a bit.

Could someone shine light on it?

Is that possible even exchange, or the resolution of the LCD permanently within the motherboard somehow?

I currently have a LTN141XA-L01 as my LCD XGA panel if it matters.

    Thanks in advance,

    -DeagleRevolver

    Welcome to the forum!

Yes, you can upgrade your T60 a SXGA + Panel, however, I doubt that what you bought is a real issued by Lenovo LCD, plus probably a sign 'no brand generic but compatible with everything '.

There are a number of RUF on this 'new' LCD?
