  Why what happened?  The answer is that your video card has HDMI that requires a separate HDMI audio chip on the video card.   Go into your BIOS. Looking for an embedded audio setting. It will be either disabled or Auto. Change the setting on " Enabled".  Save the setting here where you made the change, and again when you exit the BIOS.

  I want to capture video via the video cable supplied with the computer.

  The computer came with a video component cable software plug-in (1 x 3, 5mm - 3xRCA white/red/yellow). The only place in the manual stating that cable is the only a-in-the-box-section.

  On my old Qosmio F20, I had a specific connector for the video cable component software plug-in. There is no specific 3, 5mm connector so I suspect that I have to join one of the IR ports, or one of the audio-connectors (?).

  Go to the file/project settings/general and change the rendering on "Mercury Playback Engine software only" engine.

  Press OK, you will get a dialog box in which select "remove previews."

  Easy, just use a clipping path, select your logo/image and go object > Clipping Path > edge detection!

  Sorry, the best way is to make sure that your links have a transparent background in the first place.  If they are Illustrator files or PDF make options appear when you place them, select transparent background.  If the bitmaps be sure to use a clipping path is checked.  If none of those who work, you'll probably make the background transparent yourself.  I might try and tell you how to do for the most common file types, but if you say that the format of logos and images you place first it will speed up the whole lot...
