  Hello guys I suffer for the last two weeks of my Macbook Pro would be grateful if you help me.

I suspect that you have caused water damage when the water and soup entered into your computer. Be prepared for a fix expensive since the water, not the soup ir and electronic works well together.

  I too am in the same "boat" as 'bruf' and 'Pitbullover' my Mac Book Pro had a card failure logic as well as graphics - warranty - replaced but now the MBP does not recognize Time Capsule.  Directly linked to the time via an adapter for MBP port capsule.  It was working OK before the Mac went to repair.

  I followed the great suggestions of LaPastenague (thanks for all the time and expertise you provide other users of Apple).  Tried the factory reset button, but no result. (By the way there is always a flashing amber light on the TC - is this usual?)

  Checked the Finder - showed the distance disc - but no mention of a time Capsule.

  The TC is never used as a return to the top.  I gave up trying to use it as a router, so there may be some vestige of the conflict still in the installation somewhere.

  I will follow this thread with interest in the hope that the wonderful 'gurus' out there can suggest a solution.

When I turned off the computer, it brings back me to the login screen (I'm under 10.11.5), but I can't move the pointer (whether with my Apple Wireless Mouse or trackpad) to select the icon for my login. After a few reboots, the computer takes care of the password reset function. And there, I can reuse the mouse, select Restart the machine, and I'm back on my way.

  The genius of Apple and I suspect that the problem is with the logic board. Unfortunately, Apple has more parts for MacBook Pro mid-2010. I contacted a few service centers certified Apple the kind told me; None of them can help either.

And the last time it happened I took it in to an apple store for orientation. I was told that I have to replace the logic board, and it would cost more then a whole new Macbook Pro for the repair.

  It depends on. USB 3.0 and 3.1 standard are limited to 5 volts with a draw limited current 1.5 amps, but are made to withstand 5.   I recently took my mid-2010 "15, 2.4 GB MacBook Pro in an Apple retailer approved and found the logic board is the problem.  They also informed me that there was a 'reminder' on this point to be replaced free of charge.  However, this recall went to day a few years ago.  Nice, since I have nothing received from Apple on any reminder & it was not giving me any problems so far, apparently I'm screwed now.  The dealer said that because my machine is now considered to be "vintage", Apple has more room, the #661-5566 or #661-6360 in stock MLB & my logic board current should be sent to Florida to Arizona to be "renovated" and then reinstalled.  Apparently costing a little more than $500.  Ouch!

  I had been thinking of buying the new 2016 15 "MacBook Pro when it comes out later this year and using my old one as a backup.  However, as Apple could not extend the courtesy of advising me of this initial reminder of my logic board, spare me $500, I am strongly reconsider this purchase.  Unfortunately, I like Apple products and have bought several iPads, the large iPad Pro and Apple iPhones right up through my iPhone current 6.  Invested in Apple's it makes profoundly difficult to get away from them, but not impossible.  Had they notified me of the recall, I wouldn't have these problems now.

  It is a follow-up to a previous debate.  Less than 2 years ago, I had a default videocard from apple (OEM) with lines of scratches on the screen.  I replaced it with a

  ATI Radeon HD 4870 Graphics Upgrade Kit for Mac Pro Apple sold by: JAG technology it worked fine until I have let my old Mac 2008 for 9 months. When I turned it on to use for art, the startup has been slow and the screen became often black or never turned on at all. And the map seemed to be running really hot.    I pulled the card according to the suggestions and started and checked start with Hello time and on screen sharing my network and it seemed to have a time of normal start for this computer. But when doing screen sharing the screen remains black. So, I can see the contents of the hard drive, etc., but there is no display.

  I ran TechTool Pro and all components on the Mac pass inspection including the video ram.    I wonder if the problem is a graphics processor integrated on the system board itself or just the graphics card.    If the chip card display does not work, shouldn't be able to see a display from a distance even in the absence of a graphics card? Or not?   I don't want to pay $150 to replace a card if it is bad.

  There is no piece of the display on the map. For video, you need a working video card.

  Try reinstalling on both ends of the cables of two power between the card and power on the logic board UAX connectors.

  You deal with politics Apple and no one on these forums can do something for you, since we are like you, only users of Apple products.

  Consider selling your MBP and put money to one with 16 GB of RAM.

  All your data, applications, and settings are on the hard drive, if that is not replaced everything will be as it was. That said, you should always have a backup before you take your mac at home.
