The motherboard of your PC has a standard connector for ATX 24-pin and an ATX connector four.  A Corsair 550 (series of manufacturers) must be exactly what need you. It will have all the capabilities of power required and connectors for your mother and peripheral card. ATX 12V v2.3 specification is the latest standard.

When I look at the BIOS, it does not recognize that there is a hard drive is present. How can I fix?

  • replacing my wireless network card (upgrade)

    Hi all

I have the Pavilion dv6-1210ew. I need to replace my wireless card, and I want to buy the new work on standard and 5 GHz N. Now I have broadcom b/g. is it possible to install this map on my computer? Some people told me that it is impossible. If it will be possible could you suggest me some type/model card?

    Thank you

    Kacper

It is indeed possible. The following image, there are four modules wireless who BIOS support and that are compatible with your laptop. The best candidate update for your laptop would be the Broadcom 4322 module WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n.

Source reference: Pavilion dv6 Entertainment PC maintenance and service guide

Since your computer laptop is currently a B installed wireless module, you may also use a wireless module that corresponds to a configuration single antenna, unless your goal is to upgrade the wireless antenna as well. Do some research on the module that you are considering buying to make sure it will match this antenna installation in your laptop. There is also information on the laptop (some laptops) configurations in the interview guide & Service.

The modules can be purchased from HP or a supplier online. Use a Google search for comparison shopping.

  • Hub BT 1800 HG wireless and card PC Laptop/1060

    Hello

I have a portable S2410-304 Toshiba without a Wireless LAN mini. I connected the laptop to the BT Wireless Hub via the Ethernet connection without no problems whatsover, and the broadband connection is great. However, I tried to get the BT Voyager 1060 portable Wireless PC Card to work with no joy either.

The laptop has Windows XP SP2 and wireless broadband is via the supplied software, rather than through Windows XP. The laptop recognizes the card in the PCI slot, but for some reason any does not have a signal coming through the router.

I have another laptop and I have the Ethernet connection and wireless LAN works without any problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software, swapped the PCI slots and (as I have two cards) even tried the other card (and they both work in my notebook to another). I contacted BT and they told me to try uninstalling Norton and make sure that the Windows Firewall has been turned off and re - install. Still no joy.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why the router and the map don't communicate wireless, and yet they're fine an Ethernet cable?

    Thank you

    Steve

    Hi Lim

If the card is recognized and installed properly there must be a problem with BT card settings and configuration of the card. The only thing I can recommend is to check all the settings, especially in the Center BT wireless.

    Good bye

  • HP M9340f and Power Supply Upgrade graphics card

    HP dear community,

I read some of the forums on the upgrade of the 9500gs it's an old graphics used for the HP M9340f. It's been 4 years now and the computer still works very well. I need advice for the upgrade on the graphics card.

    My specs are: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01465973

I know that there a 350W power supply. I am worried because the 9500gs video card has a connector that is powered from the motherboard, it has 2 pins (black and white wire). I read about the update for the ATI HD 5670 Nvidia 440 or 450. I know it is very old, but the 9500gs is still able to run modern games.

The recommendations would work due to the connector 2 pin?

Upgrading power supply help, because I think the video card is to select the power supply to the motherboard and not directly from the power supply.  I'm still confused on what the black and white wire, it is connected to the video card.

I don't mind getting a greater electric power because I can get a better card. Just concerned with the black and white wire.

I also read here that this person was able to exchange his power supply and graphics card for a gtx 560 ti and a 550W power supply. Its model is newer than mine. http://www.tested.com/forums/PC-and-Mac/8692-seeking-upgrading-graphic-cardnew-computer-advise/?&p=1

    I am really limited?

    Thank you

    Abe

    Swarl3s,

    We will divide your questions.

    (1) black/white is audio Spdif. Asus Nvidia supports a S-video port, audio is provided by the additional wiring.

Now that the concern you had as answered (the whitw/black wiring), Let's proceed to the card.

    (2) what are your expectations of game? WOW, Diablo 3. Each has a recommended graphics card and each graphics card recommended the power of the power supply. Always add a tolerance.

Regarding the GTX560Ti and a combination of 550W PSU, I see no problem. Then again, see here for more information and suggestions.

  • video card and power suply upgrade help

I bought the Hp Envy 700-074 computer from Bestbuy. I want to update my video card to a power supply NVIDIA gtx 660 and at least a 600 watt. My problem is the size of the space available for upgrades. How long can the card may be before it hits something or limit too high air flow? The size of a power supply (size wise... height, width, length) will fit in the case. There are several different manufacturers of these two elements. I don't want to buy something online having to return, as he does not. If you guys can help would be great. Thank you

    Sandra

The nvidia gtx 660 video card you've chosen fits in the single available on your card PCI Express 3.0 location mother MS-7826 (Kaili) so unless you placed another card, you won't have problems with space for the card that the computer has been designed with a map like this to be placed in this slot.

As for power provide the current dimensions of the 460w (100v-240v) power supply of the computer are 150 x 140 x 86 mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches) as it is stated in the specifications of the product for your computer, as shown in the link below.

A same size 600w PSU must break easily.

If you have further questions please feel free to re-post.

  • Issues with Dell desktop computer wireless and D-Link wireless network card. Only able to get wireless access by checking "Use Windows to configure my wireless network". This kind of file sharing impossible.

original title: can't see the computer on wireless internet!

I hope that's not too much detail, but I would like that the sequence of events to be clear...

I have a Dell desktop computer that's probably six or seven years now.  It did not come with a wireless card, so I bought a DLink router and combo card wireless, install both with the DLink software.  It works beautifully.

Later, we through my rep AT & T DSL, I got a Motorola modem/router with wireless capabilities.  I had plugged directly on my computer Dell desktop and moved to a Dell laptop DLink wireless receiver.  No problems.

The Dell laptop is dead and the DLink receiver has not been used for a long time.  Family of my daughter moved to our place, and I have connected his desktop computers and laptop to wireless internet, using the Windows Connection Wizard.  Still no problem.

I got a new ASUS laptop, I also linked using the Windows Wizard.  STILL no problem.

Now, here's the problem comes.  I moved the Dell desktop computer, connected the DLink wireless receiver to it and I am able to get wireless access ONLY when I go into the properties of PC, click the wireless networks tab and check the "use Windows to configure my wireless network" box.  Then I can connect correctly, but I don't see this computer on my wireless network.  Bad luck... because I want to be able to access share files.  When I try to connect using different assistants of Windows, I get a message to the effect that, if I used another software to connect to the program, I can't use the Windows Wizard.

So, what can I do to remove the original configuration of DLink completely and to connect to my wireless network using the wizards in Windows?  I uninstalled the software of DLink, but it seems to have no effect at all.

BTW, Dell desktop computer is running XP, office computer of my daughter is running VISTA, and two laptops are equipped with Windows 7.  I can see all the computers on the network with the exception of the original Dell desktop computer wireless.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Please see these Radeon HD 7000 series graphics cards for cards that are better than the HD 7570. You have to measure along the plane of the PCIe x 16 for the selected map location will fit. • I replaced the router and I need to re - connect wirelessly. How do I do that?

I have a HP Deskjet 3050 j610a series. I replaced my router and now do not know to re-establish the wireless connection. I looked at the page Hp wireless and their solution is to put the driver cd of back in a welcome back screen appears and you can reconfigure the wireless settings form. Unfortunately, there is no such pop on my computer screen. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it as simple as uninstalling and reinstalling the software? I'm on a Mac by the way.

    Thank you!

Just to be safe, use the uninstall program in the HP folder in Applications.  Restart, and then load the hp.com HP software.

Unplug the USB cable before installing the software, choose the type of installation 'Network' or 'Wireless '.

  • Possibility to get a new video card and power supply

Hey everyone just curious if someone could lend a hand with some questions I have.

I currently have a HP Pavilion Elite

    Model number: HPE-171f

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Recently, I was looking around in my computer and I realized that I only have a 460w power supply. From the beginning, I knew I had to get a new power supply if I wanted to update my video card.

But then I realized that there are a few constraints of size with the case. I was curious if one of the most recent as the GTX 670 Nvidia cards or 660 (when it releases) would fit in this case. With a power supply.

I know it's an older case so with this question, I was wondering if its even possible/chip just to upgrade the card video and PS.

    Thanks for the help

Yes, you can update your map graphics and power for something bigger. The CX500, CX600 Corsair are highly recommended, are favorites of the forum and are known to adapt to most cases of HP. With a length of about 9.5 inches, the graphics card GTX 670 can be tight but feasible in your case... measure along the x 16 PCIe slot and look for potential problems. • Adaptec AHA-2940UW card prevents POST and boot 400SC, Precision 390 and Power Edge

I have two systems: Precision 390 and Power Edge 400SC

When an Adaptec 2940UW adapter is installed in a machine, they will not start.  Power lights, but there is no video output, the system just hangs.  In the case of the 390, the fan slowly ramps up to its maximum speed.

I know the SCSI drive and the cable is good and well done.  I tried different machines slot, disabled the startup of the IDE/SATA drives, disable the option "fast boot".  The results are always the same - both computers refuse to do the BIOS POST when the adapter is installed.

My first is that the adapter is bad, but the eBay seller insists he test it and it worked.

Anyone have an experience to install a SCSI card in a Dell computer with integrated IDE/SATA controller?

    The 2940UW is a 5v PCI 2.0 card.

You can use only the 2 cards of keyway UNIVERSAL PCI 2.2 or 2.3 which are 3.3V to the Pentium 4 and systems.  Mounting in the slot is NOT compatibility.  All slots MODERN 64-BIT PCI - X are also 3.3V only.

If you need this card, you will need to use a 2940U2W which has 2 SLOTS, which means that its 3.3V OR 5V UNIVERSAL

UEFI WINDOWS 8 systems will prevent this loading card or be seen in secure boot mode.  64-BIT VERSIONS of windows must also be certified by Microsoft WHQL drivers or that they will not load.

  • the upgrade of the card wireless LAN on my HP Elite HPE-210f desktop PC

Y at - it recommended for my Realtek 8111C Wireless LAN card upgrade existing?

Unlike laptops, HP does not publish information about wireless in desktop cards, otherwise their existence. The manual indicates that the wireless card is a x 1 pci-e expansion card. In laptops, the BIOS block cards wireless non-approved to allow the system to boot. I don't think it's true in desktop computers.

Here are the specs, including a photo of the wireless card:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02016429

Here is the manual to upgrade:

    Manual

You should be able to remove the existing wireless card and replace it with any other. Here's an option:

    http://www.Amazon.com/TP-link-TL-WDN3800-wireless-express-low-profile/DP/B00ATXJRD4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8 & qid = 1393681688 & SR = 8-3 & Keywords = PCI - e + Wireless + Card + 5 + GHz

Existing card is a dual-band 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz and must perform well but Ralink cards tend to have problems and that is an understatement. You might want to try upgrading the driver, and you can check the antennas to see if they are connected to the right.

The hardware Manager shows the card to function properly.

Is there a way to debug the startup process to see what is the origin of the crash?

    Alan

    > Is it possible to debug the startup process to see what is the origin of the crash?
I think that these tools are available for the service people only I put t know any free tool which can be downloaded from the internet.

    > If I put the card Wireless OFF using the harware manager and put power on ok wireless, it will begin what it seems it's a software related problem.
If the wireless network adapter is disabled in Device Manager, then the operating system cannot access this device and therefore the system not crushed. The Wlan switch material command the WLan antenna, so I think the issue may be related to software or hardware.

In your case, I will try to update the WLan driver.
If this is not enough, then the WLan miniPCI module must be removed and another miniPCI Wlan module must be added in order to check if the module is not defective.

In this case, you can determine the question
