• Replacing the WIFI card for laptop G72

  Hi all

  I think that I have given up trying to fix my current card WiFi RALINK RT3090 because for some reason any it simply stopped working since last Thursday.

  Am looking to buy a replacement one but don't know with all these terminologies

  The repair, I found the sub elements:

  -Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter 1 1 x
  -Module WLAN 802.11b/g/n 1 x 2 Intel Centrino Wireless - N 1000
  -Realtek RTL8191SE 802.11b/g/n 1 x 1 WiFi adapter (for 1.0 and 1.1 only models)
  -Adapter of WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 x 1 Broadcom 4313
  -4313 Broadcom 802.11b/g/n WiFi 1 x 1 and 2070 Bluetooth 2.1 + adapter Combo BDU (BT3.0 + HS ready) (for models 1.1 and 1.2 only)
  -802.11b/g/n Ralink RT3090BC4 1 x 1 WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR Combo Adapter (BT3.0 + HS ready) (for models 1.1 and 1.2 only)

  All I'm looking for is something that connects with my router that is currently configured for 2.4 Ghz (can go up to 5 GHz but not looking for it) and get the best connectivity possible and if I choose to use my Smart TV with DLNA technology.

  Q1: Will all these above mentioned work card WLAN on my G72 (it is B02SA or B20SA) portable or can be picked up any other WLAN card (mini/low-profile if I'm not mistaken, that's what we call them)

  Q2: What is "for 1.0 and 1.1 only models"?

  Q3: Which of them will give me better speeds and possible connetivity?

  Q4: My previous card Ralink RT3090BC4 gave me several questions whenever I have to reinstall my OS so don't want the hassle

  Q3: Which of them will give me better speeds and possible connetivity? Module Intel uses the drivers Intel is more reliable.
  Q4: My previous card Ralink RT3090BC4 gave me several questions whenever I have to reinstall my OS so don't want the hassle. I also had problems with this module in the past. I prefer Intel and Realtek.

  You should consider browsing the forums on the sites of BIOS mod your laptop from warranty. There is a risk attached to the use of modded BIOS, you will have to accept. Modded BIOS files can remove blacklists of module.

  From your description of the error, this really sounds like a malfunction of the GPU (graphics processing unit).
  Unfortunately, it is a serious offense and if a replacement of material you will not be able to fix this :(

  It is a case value because you can not only replace the graphics card. You need to replace the whole motherboard because the GPU is soldered on the Board and cannot be removed easily.

  As you can read in 100 other threads, it of not possible to replace the graphics card because it s fixed/soldered to the motherboard. Therefore, an Exchange is not possible.
  You should also check out this interesting article:

  I fear that you will not be able to Exchange only WLAN card. The WIFI card on this laptop model is placed on site so stupid and laptop must be disassembled. Please be careful if you want to do this alone.

  If you use the compatible WiFi card I see no problem, but in my opinion, there is no reason for this. I guess your laptop comes with WLAN card 802.11a/b/g and using the g standard data transfer is fast enough and you avoid any problems if you use your laptop for work.

  I've had my Toshiba A200 - 1 M 8 for two years now and everything was going well until one day, while working on this subject, it is just went down. The arrested LEDs had any, even when not connected to the power supply and the laptop wouldn't start. I checked the habit - power cable bad, trying to see if the leds are gone or the laptop start with and without the battery in. Then I checked if all the cables are connected to the mother board the right way - they were. If not, how can I specify what I seek, when searching through stores online and how can I check if it would be compatible with my laptop? 2. If it is possible to replace the card, it would be possible to replace with a better model (like hd3470), this means that my laptop would be able to manage the best card and is it still possible to find a better card, mounting my laptop (physically, I mean, it's pretty tight in there: P)?
