Reporting & Chargeback > home inventory - seek to collect the use of computer virtual drive

Looking at display custom registration "Partition Allocation" "Availability of the score", I'm trying to create a report to verify the use of the disc. The maximum number of partitions is three, I was wondering if this can be increased to 6 partitions or more?

Yes, you can change the maximum number of partitions that are visible by the entry in the settings area of the device (the gear upper-right icon) and you will find the setting under general-> various.

Hope this helps,

  • Collect the use of products in bulk

    Hi all

    I have oracle 10 G R2 on windows.

    For several days, I use procedure with cursor inside for update or insertion. But now, I heard that there is a way to insert or update records faster than using cursors. It's bulk collect. But the thing is that I don't know how to use it in the procedure that I said. so need your help for the same thing.

    I have a procedure below
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE "Oracle_cursor" as
    cursor cur is select * from test_1;
    counter int :=0;
    update_cnt int :=0;
    insert_cnt int :=0;
    begin
    dbms_output.put_line('start >> ' || to_char(sysdate,'dd-mon-yy hh:mi:ss am') );
         for c in cur
         loop
                     select count(1) into counter from test
              where empno =C.empno;
                   if(counter > 0) then
                          Update test
                          Set  empno=c.empno,
                    emptype=c.emptype,
                    salary=c.salary
                      where empno =C.empno;
         update_cnt := update_cnt + 1;
         else
                     insert into test
                            (
                   empno,emptype,salary)

                  values (
                   c.empno,c.emptype,c.salary
                          );
                    insert_cnt := insert_cnt + 1;
              end if;
         end loop;
            commit;
    dbms_output.put_line('rows updated >> ' || update_cnt );
    dbms_output.put_line('rows inserted >> ' || insert_cnt );
    dbms_output.put_line('end >> ' || to_char(sysdate,'dd-mon-yy hh:mi:ss am') );
    dbms_output.put_line('part process end >> ' || to_char(sysdate,'dd-mon-yyhh:mi:ss am') );
    commit;
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    dbms_output.put_line('Some error occured');
    ROLLBACK;
    End;
    How can I replace the procedure with the use of collect in bulk in above.

    Help, please.

    Kind regards
    Chanchal Wankhade.

    Please answer according to the questions.

    Given the PROC, he wants to use "type collection" by having the same business logic that not a program in real time and what has been written here, is the best way to solve the logic. He just wants to convert the same program with the use of the collection type.

    Check below for exact result: -.

    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE p_Oracle_Bulk_collect
    as
    TYPE rec_type IS table of tab_col_1% ROWTYPE index by PLS_INTEGER;
    tab_type rec_type;

    int counter: = 0;
    update_cnt int: = 0;
    insert_cnt int: = 0;
    Start
    dbms_output.put_line (' start > ' | to_char(sysdate,'dd-mon-yy hh:mi:ss am'));

    Select *.
    bulk collect into tab_type
    of tab_col_1;

    IF tab_type.count > 0 then
    For idx in 1.tab_type.count
    loop

    Select count (1) in a meter in the tab_col_2
    where empno = .empno tab_type (idx);

    IF count > 0 then
    Update emptype Set tab_col_2 = .emptype tab_type (idx), salary = .salary tab_type (idx)
    where empno = .empno tab_type (idx);
    update_cnt: = update_cnt + 1;
    ON THE OTHER
    insert into tab_col_2 (empno, emptype, salary)
    values (tab_type (idx) .empno, tab_type (idx) .emptype, tab_type (idx) .salary);
    insert_cnt: = insert_cnt + 1;
    END IF;
    end loop;
    END IF;
    DBMS_OUTPUT. Put_line (' lines updates > ' |) UPDATE_CNT);
    DBMS_OUTPUT. Put_line ("inserted rows > ' |") INSERT_CNT);
    DBMS_OUTPUT. Put_line (' end > ' |) To_char(sysdate,'dd-mon-YY hh:mi:SS am'));
    DBMS_OUTPUT. Put_line (' end of part process > ' |) To_char(sysdate,'dd-mon-Yyhh:mi:SS am'));

    2. you remember recent changes made on the computer before the show?

    3. what version of the operating system is installed on your computer?

    4. have you checked to go in Windows Explorer to check if the flash drive is displayed?

  • How to use Ready Boost, and what are the requirements for the use of portable hard drives and flash drives for use with Ready Boost?

    I have Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate Edition and try to get Ready Boost to work on my PC using portable hard drives or flash drives. I have 2 portable hard drives (iomega 120gig, Seagate 250gig) and a 8gig sandisk cruzer flash drive. All this deterioration when you try to use the ready boost said that these discs only are not compatible or not supported. So what do I need?

    Not all readers will work with ReadyBoost. There are some readers who actually will specify that they are capable of ReadyBoost.

    By WikiPedia:

    • The device should have an access time of 1ms or less.
    • The device must be capable of 2.5 MB/s for 4 KB random read speeds indicates the spread uniformly across the entire device and 1.75 MB/s write for 512 speed random writes spread uniformly across the device.

    You must also put the device and let it plugged in for ReadyBoost. ReadyBoost is therefore best suited for a small thumbdrive (up to 4 GB) that greater thumbdrive or external HD that you would probably be disconnect from time to time.

    Open solutions Explorer window, find your Cruzer - right-click on it and click Properties. If there is a ReadyBoost tab, you can set up - set it to dedicate this device to ReadyBoost. It will be implemented and save a file on the USB key. Click Apply and're you good to go.

    A caveat which I can testify first-hand. Apparently while booting, Win 7 has trouble with some USB key - it will search the thumbdrive, the operating system, the process of starting to stall and you say: ' Missing Operating System ' - Fortunately the solution is very easy. Shut down the computer, remove the USB key, restart the computer and it will start normally. I had this happen with a 8 GB Cruzer. This seems to be a random thing, because I had the Cruzer plugged in and booted several times without encountering the error of missing operating system message. No idea why or why it is injury. Currently, I use a Kodak USB 2 gig key that seems to work very well.

    I thank you,

    VMX has only a reference on virtual disk 1... There is no reference to VD 2 and 3.

    You can unsubscribe from the virtual machine--> restart services management--> re-registration the virtual machine and see if it works.

    Alternatively, you may create a new vmx:

    --> Unregister the virtual machine--> create new VM--> select "Use existing virtual disk" instead of creating the new disc--> point to virtual disk 1--> and follow the instructions in the wizard.

  • API call for the deployment of computer virtual model?

    Hi all

    Could someone tell me how to deploy a virtual model computer using vsphere sdk webservice with the names of methods?

    Thanks in advance

    You use the method CloneVM_Task() (http://www.vmware.com/support/developer/vc-sdk/visdk41pubs/ApiReference/vim.VirtualMachine.html#clone)

    You're going to treat it just like the deployment of a model non - VM, the only difference is that the model has a property that marks it as a model if you can not make any changes or it turn, but essentially a virtual computer model is identical to a virtual machine. Simply locate your model VM mor and pass while in the clone, spec and deploy as you normally would.

  • Create the folder under computer virtual & model

    Tthanks!

    If I understand your question, you want to create a new folder called 'blue'.

    The trick is to know that there are some hidden (from the point of view customer VI) folders that you need to know to make it work.

    In the case of the view 'Machines virtual & templates' folders called 'vm' in each data center there.

    This script shows you how to create a folder 'blue '.

    $dcName =
    $dc = Get-Datacenter -Name $dcName

    Hello

    Which Intel graphics card has been installed on your laptop?
    It's an Intel 852GME 16 to 64 MB shared memory graphics card?

    I found friendly informative on the Intel page and it seems that the material of the graphics card does not support DirectX9, but only the DirextX7 and the DirecttX8

    The graphics driver for the Intel page will not help you.
    First of all you will not be able to install it because it s is not designed for the use of computer Toshiba laptop and secondly the hardware does not support.

    But I give you advice if you are looking for an earlier version of the driver.
    Some laptops use the same graphics card. Try to find the driver in series of various Notebooks with the same graphic card.
    But the new facility is going to change anything. The DirectX 9 API is not supported

  • Collect the serial number of UUT, further in the sequence, then move the dialogue at first USE

    Hi all

    What is the best way to collect the serialnumber USE later in the test sequence (our USE the stored serialnumber, and we want to gather through a DLL call later in the sequence) and pass the input serialnumber dialogue USE?

    Database and report should be in agreement with the serial number that is read from the device from the sequence.

    Looking forward to your advice!

    Kind regards

    David

    Why don't you just replace the PreUUT callback and put your own dialogue in there?  Why the serial number collection should happen later? If it's a matter of having to WEAR it then, you can substitute the reminder of the installation process and enable the object to measure.  Or could even put on in the reminders of the PreUUT or PreUUT loop.

    What people do is override the recall of PreUUT and to put their own VI/DLL calls generally are make barcode scanner or other entry of serial numbers.

    You need to be aware of the indicator to continue.  That's what interrupts execution.

  • Request to modify the script to collect the CPU Ready in percentage by VM instead of milliseconds

    Hi all

    I would ask for help here with the script that I found in this forum by Mr. LucD to collect % VM CPU ready to be changed according to the famous formula for calculating the percentage of CPU of VM ready:

    ((Valeur de sommation UC / (< intervalle de mise à jour par défaut graphique en secondes > * 1000)) * 100) / number of vCPU = CPU % ready

    From my understanding, the script must be changed because:

    1. Don't divide the percentage CPU Ready by the number of vCPU for each virtual computer
    2. The refresh interval is not set 'for a week. for simplicity, this script will be used to collect last week performance data ($start = (Get-Date). AddDays(-7))

    Note: The refresh rate can be found this KB: VMware KB: conversion between the summation of values CPU and CPU ready %

    the purpose of this script is to classify VM of the result is greater than 10% determined as having problems with CPU Ready. Article source: http://docs.media.bitpipe.com/io_10x/io_107330/item_605784/Basic%20VMware%20vSphere%20Performance%20Guide_201211.pdf)

    I have tested and run script below:

    $allvms = @()
    $vms = Get-VM
    $start = (Get-Date).AddDays(-7)
    $metrics = "cpu.usage.average","mem.usage.average","cpu.ready.summation"

    Get-Stat -Entity $vms -Start $start -Stat $metrics |
    Group-Object -Property {$_.Entity.Name} | %{
      $cpu = $_.Group | where {$_.MetricId -eq "cpu.usage.average" -and $_.Instance -eq ""} | Measure-Object -Property value -Average -Maximum -Minimum
      $mem = $_.Group | where {$_.MetricId -eq "mem.usage.average"} | Measure-Object -Property value -Average -Maximum -Minimum
      $vmstat = "" | Select Time,VmName, MemMax, MemAvg, MemMin, CPUMax, CPUAvg, CPUMin, CPURDYMaxPercent
      $vmstat.VmName = $_.Group[0].Entity.Name
      $vmstat.Time = $_.Group | Sort-Object -Property Timestamp | Select -First 1 | Select -ExpandProperty Timestamp
      $vmstat.CPUMax = [Math]::Round($cpu.Maximum,2)
      $vmstat.CPUAvg = [Math]::Round($cpu.Average,2)
      $vmstat.CPUMin = [Math]::Round($cpu.Minimum,2)
      $vmstat.MemMax = [Math]::Round($mem.Maximum,2)
      $vmstat.MemAvg = [Math]::Round($mem.Average,2)
      $vmstat.MemMin = [Math]::Round($mem.Minimum,2)
      $vmstat.CPURDYMaxPercent = &{
      $interval = $_.Group[0].IntervalSecs * 10
        ($_.Group | where {$_.MetricId -eq "cpu.ready.summation" -and $_.Instance -eq ""} |
      Sort-Object -Property Value -Descending |
        Select -First 1 |
        Select -ExpandProperty Value) / $interval
      }
      $allvms += $vmstat
    }
    $allvms | Select Time,VMName, MemMax, MemAvg, MemMin, CPUMax, CPUAvg, CPUMin, CPURDYMaxPercent |
    Export-Csv "C:\TEMP\AllVMs-7days.csv" -noTypeInformation -UseCulture

    I hope that this will be the most useful script to understand where particular VM is experiencing problem with percentage CPU Ready.

    Thanks in advance,

    I have my version here, I use to use of the CPU.

    {Function Get-Ready

    <>

    . LOGBOOK

    This unique feature provide several reports and information. IE: convert ready value into a readable format (for real-time, day, week, month, year).

    . DESCRIPTION

    This unique feature provides multiple information of esxi host, as the list below.

    The CPU usage of the virtual, Mhz, the use of the processor CPU ready computer

    vCPU allocated to the VM (jailbroken in the casings and core)

    VMHost name

    Information physical VMhost CPU (jailbroken in the casings and core)

    To convert between value of CPU ready summons in vCenter performance tables and the value of loan % of CPU that you see in esxtop, you must use a formula.

    The form requires that you know the default update intervals for performance dashboards. These are the default update for each chart intervals:

    Realtime: 20 seconds

    Last day: 5 minutes (300 seconds)

    Last week: 30 minutes (1800 seconds)

    Over the past month: 2 hours (7200 seconds)

    Last year: 1 day (86400 seconds)

    To calculate the % of CPU ready of the summation value ready CPU, use this formula:

    (Value of summons UC / ( * 1000)) * 100 = ready % CPU

    Example: Stats in real-time for a VM on vCenter may have an average CPU ready summation value of 1000. Use the appropriate formula values to get the loan % of CPU.

    (1000 / (20 sec * 1000)) * 100 = 5% CPU ready

  • Script to collect the VM name and total size on disk

    I'm trying to find a script that will display the following information:

    • Name of the virtual machine
    • The total size of the VM (vmdk)

    I thought I saw one here before, but can't seem to find it anywhere.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    You get the error by using the function, because the function expects an object of VMware.VimAutomation.ViCore.Impl.V1.Inventory.VirtualMachineImpl and you give a VMware.Vim.VirtualMachine object. If you change your part of the code in:

    # Connect to VIServer
    Connect-VIServer $VIServer

    #Initialise Array
    $Report = @()

    # Gather VM Size Information
        $AllVMs = Get-VM
        ForEach ($vm in $AllVMs){
                $Size = Get-VmSize($vm)
            }
            $Report += $Size

    $Report | Export-Csv "C:\VMDiskSize.csv"

    # Disconnect from VIServer
    Disconnect-VIServer $VIServer -Confirm:$False

    He will not give an error. But this does not also give the desired output because it will give you the total size of the disk of all virtual machines.

    You get the expected result:

    # Connect to VIServer
    Connect-VIServer $VIServer

    #Initialise Array
    $Report = @()

    # Gather VM Size Information
    $AllVMs = Get-VM
    ForEach ($vm in $AllVMs){
        $Row = "" | Select-Object VM,Size
        $Row.VM = $vm.Name
        $Row.Size = (Get-VmSize($vm))/1GB
        $Report += $Row
    }

    $Report | Export-Csv "C:\VMDiskSize.csv"

    # Disconnect from VIServer
    Disconnect-VIServer $VIServer -Confirm:$False
