Requirements of licensing the VDI/VDM
Hi guys,.
I am looking for some costs associated with the implementation of a VDI solution. The proposed configuration would require 2 servers VDM (1 physical security in the DMZ, 1 virtual VDM server sitting on local ESX connections), 3 x 4 socket ESX nodes (VI3 Ent), 200VDI XP, physical VC (W2003, complete SQL2005). AD and the RSA already exists. Are the licenses I propose that we must OK or have I missed something. Should I absolutely VDM 2 licenses?
Virtual Center W2003 x 86 STD 1
Virtual Center SQL2005 1
VDM DC VMware VDM server 1
VMware VDM VDM 1 Security Server
ESX VMware VI3 Enterprise, Inc. HA, DRS 6 servers
Desktop XP 200 CAL VDI
Thanks in advance
Your license is all wrong, I'm afraid, but easily fixed.
VDM itself is licensed by concurrent user and you can buy packs of different startup in sets of 10 or 100. You can run as many servers VDM as you want (you'll allow good OS Windows) to run your configuration. Now if this environment VMware will run only desktops you can also get all of the included ESX licenses, regardless of the number of ESX hosts you will run.
Check
http://www.VMware.com/products/VDI/howtobuy.html
However, be aware that VDM3 will be soon released and the license model changes a little. I suggest that you contact VMware or a VMware partner and get them to help you. Or go here if you have any specific questions. But you'll want to consider the type of license you want to VDM3. I would say more, but I'm not sure what is public.

Original title: Media Player
Yesterday, I downloaded a song. Now my Windows Media Player will not play anything.
I get the same room whenever I try to start each song in my library:
Media usage rights acquisition
wmasf.MusicNet.com
A license is required to play the selected song or video. However, a license for this file is not found, has expired or has been altered. To obtain a license for this content, please visit the website or open the software application in which the file was uploaded originally. You need to connect or buy the song or the video.
I ran several diagnostic, and remedial programs, but nothing worked to get media player to work (without getting this popup Media Player and stop).
It seems to be a kind of malware that has damaged something in my windows media player. When I put "wmasf.musicnet.com" in the address line on explore, I get only the same message as the pop-up.
Anyone know how I can fix the media player and get rid of this problem?
Hello
I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.
Method 1:
Run the troubleshooters in Windows Media Player and check if it helps.
Open the troubleshooting Windows Media Player settings Troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Media-Player-Settings-troubleshooter
Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-library-Troubleshooter
Method 2:
Try to reset the management of digital rights (DRM) and check if it helps.
Follow the steps to reset the DRM:
1. first of all, check that the hidden files and folders option is enabled.
To do this, follow these steps:a. start Windows Explorer. To do this, click Start, type userinit.exe in the Search box and press ENTER.
b. click on organize, and then click folder and Search Options.
c. click on the view tab.
d. click Advanced settings.
e. under hidden files and folders, click Show files and folders, clear the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) box and then click OK.
2. Locate the DRM folder on the computer.
In general, the DRM folder is located in the following location.
Note In these paths, drive represents the drive on which Windows is installed.
Windows 7 or Windows Vista.a. Windows 7 or Windows Vista versions x 86-based
drive: \ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRMb. Windows 7 or Windows Vista versions x 64-based
drive: \ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM3 Rename the file DRM DRMbackup.
a. right click on the DRM folder and then click Rename.
b. type DRMbackup, and then press ENTER.
c. close Windows Explorer.
Warning: You must contact any third-party stores where you purchased music to reset the licenses for that music. If you copied CDs for protected Windows Media Audio files, the CD must be copied again.

Requirement of license adapter-FEX
I have a customer who bought class C servers with maps VIC1225 and 5548UP Nexus switches, but just the basic license. I'm unable to establish the FEX adapter can be used or not given the specifications indicate that it embeds all FCoE.
DOE anyone have a definitive answer for this?
Hello Paul,
FEX adapter requires no license.
http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/prod/collateral/switches/ps9441/ps9670/guide_c07-690080.html
---------- snip ----------
Check the requirements for the permit
No A - FEX license is required for A - FEX to function.
If you use the FC or FCoE, make sure that the appropriate license is installed.
If you use the 3 layer card, be sure to install the BASE license.
--------------------------
If you plan to use VM - FEX, then license VMFEX is required

Why aren't Firefox system requirements and disclosure of information made accessible via links on the main pages of Firefox?
I can find them easily enough via Google, but I wonder why they can't be found in in mozilla.com.
Even a search in aid of "Firefox" with the string "firefox 6 requirements ' cannot find the information.
Is this an oversight, the community is too busy, or it is assumed that this information is not relevant in this day and age?On some Mozilla Firefox pages there are links Release Notes, but not on all pages. This is something that needs to be addressed. Generally, it has a link to the system requirements on the Release Notes page. I know, you ask "why?" I can't explain and don't know a good reason for not having a link on each download page of Mozilla Firefox.
Here is a link to the Firefox 6.0.2 Release Notes and a link to Firefox 6.0.2 system requirements. You can change the version number in the link to another version released and get the information for this release. I know, it's a pain, but I just bookmarks into folders 'FF-Release Notes' and 'FF Sys Req.
- Release Notes Firefox 6.0.2: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/6.0.2/releasenotes/
- System requirements Firefox 6.0.2: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/6.0.2/system-requirements/index.html (System requirements should not change in a number of major version, i.e. 6 or 5, so this link will take you to version 6).

Flash.ocx required to run the program...
Hello
I push myself a little crazy by an error message which began this afternoon. I use a program called Activstudio and until today it worked fine. This morning I went to update the flashplayer from adobe on my system and uninstalled the existing adobe products. Now, I get an error message that says that this version of windows does not have the file flash.ocx that is required to run the program. I have installed and uninstalled adobe Flash Player and shockwave player on a number of occasions now, I also searched on the net for about 4 hours to try the tips people gave for similar problems. A good idea to copy the file flash.ocx and rebonding it in the c: windows\system32\macromed\flash folder, but the file flash.ocx does not exist so I can't do that. I even downloaded the file flash.ocx by himself and place it in the folder, but nothing seems to work... I don't have the original to the program software CD as it is a program I have given by a school for educational purposes...
any help would be very welcome because I can't access one of my lessons...
Nina
Hi neeny468,
Try the system restore and verify the result. If this does not help, then you will need to get the software to reinstall the program successfully.
Step 1: Restore the computer to an earlier time when it was working fine
a. Click Start, type system restore in the search box and then in the list click on the system restore program.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
b. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
c. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
d. click Finish.
e. restart the computer and check if the problem persists.See What is system restore? : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-is-System-Restore
You can also post your query to the adobe forums as they may be able to help with this:http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa

This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software
Hello
I try to install the graphics driver on my laptop Dell Inspiron N5010 (I tried this three R252283, R257270 and R285472). But every time I get the error indicating that "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.
Here are the details of my laptop configuration:
Core i3 processor, RAM 3 GB, windows 7 64-bit Operating system
Makes sense, you do not have the integrated Intel graphics card, but rather have an AMD graphics card, install it:
