Resolution - Direct3D

I have the problem that my PC resolution is low (1024 x 600) and did not start the game and before the operating system to its original state, I started the game that my friend had increased the resolution. How can I increase resoulucion?

DA

Resolution is determined by the hardware and the driver software.  I would check the specifications of your system to see what is the max resolution and if it does not meet the minimum requirements for the game you simply can't run it.

  • Direct3D/DirectX issues

I have several games that I have who recognize no more ability to Direct3D to my video card.  I've updated the DirectX and video card drivers, but the problem continues to persist.

The question seems to arise with the games that were released during the time when Windows XP is the primary operating system.  I have very little problem with games released on Windows 98 or 95, or more recent games.  It seems to be limited to the games released during the life of XP.

I'm currently under Vista Home Premium on a laptop Compaq F700, and I kept on updates for DirectX and my drivers video card (a card nVidia GeForce 7000 M/Nforce 610).  No idea as to what is happening?

    Hi NeoSilverThorn,

Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

As you have already updated the video driver, you can check if the games are vista compatible. Link below will help you to check if the program is compatible with Windows Vista: Windows Vista Compatibility Center

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/

Run the game in compatibility mode of Windows programs in Microsoft

    i. right click on the link of the program that you want to resolve.

    II. click on properties.

III. click on the Compatibility tab.

IV. click on run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows XP

    v. under display settings, click to select the mode that you think that is necessary for the program works correctly:

    a. run in 256 colors.

    b. run in 640 X 480 screen resolution.

    c. disable visual themes.

VI. click on apply and then click OK.

    VII. double-click on the program.

    Hope this information is useful.

Let me know if it worked.

    All the best!

  • What is Direct3D acceleration and it is available on my Windows Vista computer?

Original title: now, I said that the Direct3D acceleration is not available on my computer - what is it and how do I get it?

As above - I do not have direct x thingies - they are not available so how do them if I need to watch movies

To all those who require it:

Here is a list of possible solutions to your problems. Follow them in order.

Step 1: Ensure the hardware acceleration is set to Full

    1. click on the Start button and look for "screen resolution." Open the link entitled "adjust screen resolution."

    2. click on "Advanced" at the bottom left.

    3. go to the "Troubleshooting" tab If there is an option to do this, click on "change settings". After that, move the "Hardware Acceleration" slider up. If this option is not available, please proceed to step 2 below.

    4. click on 'OK '. If it prompts you to restart, restart your PC.

Now try to check the diagnosis DirexctX (search for "dxdiag" in the start menu). If you can activate all the features (Direct3D, DirectDraw, etc), then your problem is solved. If not, keep reading.

Step 2: Install the latest DirectX Runtimes

    1. go to the following Microsoft Web site:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=35

2 download the web setup of DirectX Wizard.

    3. After downloading, run the installer and follow its instructions to install the latest runtimes, DirectX on your PC.

    4. when it has finished, restart your computer.

Now try to check the diagnosis DirexctX (search for "dxdiag" in the start menu) again. If you can activate all the features (Direct3D, DirectDraw, etc), then your problem is solved. If this is not the case, try to repeat step 1 again. If the problem persists, continue reading.

If you have followed the steps above and you still cannot activate features DirectX, please say so and I'll try to find other solutions. In addition, if you can, please indicate your motherboard and the chipset manufacturer. This problem seems to persist specifically on VIA chipsets and motherboards, and I want to check if this is the case with you.

    Hope that helps,

    Rifdhan

  • Screen saver can't run because it requires a more recent or Direct3D-compatible video card

Exactly, I found the path, right click on the screen resolution of office, open, open the advanced parameters, click on help tab and change the settings.
But, change settings is grey (cannot be opened).
Anyone know how to activate it?

    Hello Kevin,

Thanks for keeping updated on the question and the quick response.

Have you tried to update the graphics driver?

By default, Direct3D will be enabled in Windows 7. There is no option in Windows 7 for manually enable or disable Direct3D.

If the problem persists, you can also try to turn on graphics acceleration and check if it helps.

    To turn on graphics acceleration

    1. Open display settings by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel
    2. Click appearance and personalization , and then click customization
    3. Now, click display settings.
    4. Click on display settings, and then click Advanced settings.
    5. Click the Troubleshooting tab, and then click change settings.
    6. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    7. Move the Hardware Acceleration complete.

  • Question about resolution movie downloads

If I buy a movie at a certain resolution (780p for example), but I want more later re - download at a higher or lower resolution (SD or 1080 p), can I do so and how?

Same question perhaps for music. Some of my songs have been bought before the latest Apple codecs.

    Any help is appreciated!

    THX!

Once you have made a purchase on the iTunes store, you will see your purchased items in the menu under accounts bar > bought. You can simply select the item purchased and re-upload.

With regard to the resolution of the film for films that are offered, and you select the resolution, you can download it again and select a different resolution. For movies that are available as separate download to SD, 780, or 1080 points, you would be limited to the original resolution you selected.

  • Audio iPhone 7 and high resolution

    Hi-

Thinking of buying iPhone 7.  I notice that the DAC is now external to the phone for headphones cable good lightning and even lightning to the 3.5 mm adapter contains a small DAC inside.

What this means that iPhone 7 accepts high resolution audio files? (I'm talking about 24 bits, files of 192,000 kHz with flow rates up to about 9 216 kbps, like the ones you can buy Pono music or other titles HD).

The Apple store now sells items such as the helmet Planar Audeze with high quality converters.

Has anyone tried this yet?  It may convince me to upgrade my iPhone 6.  (I currently use one of those Toblerone shaped players Pono for hi res music).

    Hi there, Phlac!

Thank you for joining the communities Support from Apple! It's a big question about the audio formats supported by iPhone 7. See this link which has the Technical Specifications for iPhone 7.

    Audio playback

    • Audio formats supported: AAC (8 to 320 Kbps), AAC protected (from iTunes Store), HE - AAC, MP3 (8 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Dolby Digital (AC-3), Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3), Audible (formats 2, 3, 4, Audible Enhanced Audio, AAX, and AAX +), Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV
    • The user configurable maximum volume limit

Any audio that works perfectly with the iPhone 7 falls in these formats! Have a great day!

  • Videos and photos full resolution will not download

My iPhone has the option 'download photos in full resolution' is enabled. I decided to do the same thing for my iPhone but when I went to the photos app on my ipad, he said not "enough space". I had 22 GB of free space on my ipad. My library is only 17 concerts. But it refuses to download videos and photos in full resolution. I even tried turning off iCloud photo library, remove all local copies of my photos and videos, turn it back on and selecting 'download full resolution '. Same question. My next option is to restore my iPad for a clean install, but I rather not do. Any ideas?

Performing a restore of backup can erase some extra storage space, but...

Download a library of 17 GB, the memory load to the Photos app, on a device with only 22 GB of free space will leave enough space free work, so the warning is OK - you have not enough free storage.

Go to settings > general > storage & use iCloud > storage management and see if you can remove some unused documents and apps to create more free space. Otherwise, use an optimized library and full resolution images will be downloaded when you need to view or modify.

  • Does anyone else have bad WiFi reception on 15 mid-2012 "MBP with screen high resolution?"

Tried a new card from the airport, no difference. The WiFi reception is half, at best, of any other Mac. Get my wife of twice the reception of mid-2010. Like the hundreds of other Apple devices I have my mini iPhone and iPad Pro service.

Is there something on the antennas in this screen? It's in this way that I bought it. Madding simply as a tech. At least I know if my laptop can connect to WiFi, just about anything can.

I7 2.7 mid-2012 with 1 GB of VRAM and view high resolution.

Hold down the Option key while you click on the wireless icon in the menu bar. This will display a number of important parameters on the performance of a Wi - Fi connection. a little, it will look like this:

What values show you for Mode PHY and channel?

What CISOS or the signal strength? How far from your router when you measure this?

What tx rate or rate of transmit?

very important and how many other networks do you see listed?

  • Is there an optimal resolution for iCloud sharing Photos

Is there an optimal resolution for iCloud Photos sharing on computers, iPad and Apple TV?

I want to scan photo album my grandparents to share with my friends and family. I scanned a few pages of test at 3200 x 2000 pixels. They have look great on my Mac and look great on an iPad also. I want to future proof them for 4 k and recent televisions.

Is the size of 3200 x 2000 pixels too small, too large or OK?

If you want to transfer photos using iCloud shared Albums, photo sharing, they will be transferred from smaller - the edge long will be at maximum 2048 pixels, unless they are panoramic.

I would scan the photos to a pixel size you want to keep for reference, so you can print them in a format you like - 4000 x 3000 pixels or more, and when you share with iCloud, sharing photos they will be slightly reduced in any way.
