  • My disappointing experience with the Lenovo Ideapad A1 Tablet

As a student who lives on a scholarship that I had saved for months to buy a Lenovo ideapad A1 compressed. After seeing it shipped to the United States, I felt satisfied with his system Android and several features it offered. I felt happy with it, up to 3 months after the purchase. I turned it on a morning expect to read the daily news and I noticed 2 lines horizontal purple color and a line horizontal color cyan who were stuck in the screen all the time. Logically, what I've done is to call Lenovo support, since I bought it only very recently. To my surprise, I was told that the Lenovo A1 tablet doesn't come with any kind of guarantee on the screen at all. And even more frustrating to know that the replacement of this screen is from $ 200 to $ 300 . It's still more expensive than buying another Tablet! How this is possible when the LCD screens are one of the products that have more problems in the manufacturing process?

Thank you. I sent my tablet to fix (it has not even turn on a couple of days) I am now waiting for them. I had good experiences with service of lenovo Centre before, I hope they can fix

Hello, I have a problem installing Audio driver on my new S10e 4068 - 4JG netbook as follows:

I bought with Novell Suse Linux, but I decided to install Windows XP SP3. I tried several times to install the driver Realtek High Definition Audio, but it was not successful. Audio Realtek High definition has not apper in Control Panel-> sounds and Audio devices or in-> audio, video and game controllers Device Manager. Adding new hardware wizard did not find a new hardware. Any help will be much appreciated!

I thank very you much for your advice, Hans. In fact, the problem was solved by itself. I have restored the original operating system - SLED10 (not her again), that back to Windows XP, and finally the unit appeared in Device Manager, and it was no problem to install the driver...

  • The GPU of my Lenovo Ideapad S410P Touch can be changed?

I have this laptop which is the Lenovo Ideapad S410p key, I was wondering if I can change the GPU. Thank you.

Good day and welcome to the community.

As with most laptops that include discrete graphics, the dGPU is soldered to the system board and therefore, is not extensible. The only exception on some models would be if there were different system equipped with dGPU offered advice. In this case, Exchange System Management Board would be only upgraded avenue.

In looking at the manual material S410P pg78: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad_s410ps410ptouchs510ps510ptouch_hmm.pdf
There seems to be 2 variants of Board of Directors system: integrated or discrete, graphics with 3 sub-variants each: no operating system, the Win8Std or the Win8Pro.

I hope this helps clarify a little.

    Kind regards.

  • Resolution of the screen on the Lenovo Yoga

The resolution on the Lenovo Yoga is so high that you can hardly read the text on the screen. On a Mac, there is no problem, but when I installed it on the Lenovo, it is completely different and cannot be used.

How can you change the resolution for Lightroom on this laptop?

older versions of adobe software can be used with screens high resolution, but the text is small.

You can probably increase the font size on your computer for the use of these older versions or wear reading glasses, if you have pain to see the small print.

    Hi Timmsey,

-You are able to boot to the desktop?

The issue may be caused if you have changed the hardware and software of the computer settings.

Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) drives, etc.) except the keyboard and mouse and then start.

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue. Then download software updated driver for the device.

  • Lenovo Ideapad 100: Removing the battery

Hello, I have problems with my removing the battery. As my title says, I have a Lenovo ideapad 100, and I'm supposed to send it off for repairs. For my problem, I need to take out the battery because it is not part of the problem; However, I can't get out. I've read here to take off the base, but in trying to do this, it seems he breaks the internal clamps keep attached. I don't want to keep these break just to pay for them to be repaired afterwards. Is there an easier way to take this base off?

Those who may be generic instructions. In the case of your machine, you can contact the Service to confirm, but my feeling is that it does not apply to batteries regarded as cards.

  • Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBD keyboard and the touchpad does not

I bought a Lenovo IdeaPad 100-15IBD a few days ago, and after a series of problems that I managed to fix, I woke up this morning to find that my keyboard and the touchpad do not work. Last night (about 9 hours ago) it was working fine. Anyone has an idea how can I fix?

Problem solved. It was because of the abdriver for keyboard and mouse I have installed from the official website of lenovo, I don't know how or why, but when I uninstalled it, it started working again.

  • New Lenovo Ideapad Z710 friend refuses to install the touchpad driver.

A few weeks ago my friend bought new a laptop Lenovo Ideapad Z710 pre-installed with Win8. I "upgraded" to Windows 7 for him, as none of us can handle the new OS. Usually, I have no trouble to reinstall the drivers after installing a new OS, but for some reason that its touchpad driver does NOT install.

I use the official driver for his computer, apparently is a synaptics driver and it says it should work completely fine with Windows 7, but when I try to run the installation, I get the error "Synaptics Device Not Found!"

There are a few issues that I believe are related to the driver not being installed that can tell you something. When he closes the lid of the laptop and open it again, the mouse jumps over the screen constantly, and he can't use the computer until it restarts. In addition, he cannot turn his touchpad, which I suppose is a function that comes with the driver.

Any help or contribution is greatly appreciated, if you need more information, do not hesitate to ask.

    Thanks again,
    -Tyler

Are you sure the touchpad isn't a Synaptics touchpad ElanTech? If ElanTech, try to uninstall the currently installed driver. Then install the driver from the website. During the installation of the driver not to put a check mark in the box that says driver Synaptics install now.
