Restoration of ringtones

I recently updated my iPhone to an iPhone 5 6 more. Before the upgrade, I backed up my phone on iTunes. After restoring from my account to my new phone, my iTunes purchases are no longer on my phone. I want to get my ringtones back so that I don't have to buy them once AGAIN. Watching my iTunes account, I can see in my past purchases that I buy, but there is none where there it says transfer to the phone or restore. It's just an acknowledgement. Help please! Thank you!

Ringtones purchased from the iTunes Store are a download-only single. Well, they may not save the exact settings used for cutting. It is up to you to transfer and save all these purchases. You can ask support of iTunes Store personnel if there is nothing they can do, but I wouldn't be optimistic.

I recently updated my iPhone iOS 10 and then again 10.0.2 6Plus - but I encounter the same problem.

The ringtones that I attributed to specific contacts do not play, the phone only plays the default ringtone. All ringtones work when I press them, and if I put these default ringtones they also work.

I did have this problem before the update to ios 10.

  • Ringtone does not change.

Everyone comes to a point of putting a particular to a particular contact ringtone, when actually, this contact name, and the ringtone is all along with the default tone? This, for me started when I updated my iPhone 6 s more iOS 10...

The following steps can solve device erratic behavior assuming that it isn't really a hardware problem. They assume that all the content you want on the device in your lending library for the restoration. If not see recover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device first. I would also recommend you copy everything off of the camera, if you have not already.

    1. Backup device.
    2. Restoration as a new device.
    3. Restore the backup that you made earlier.

Use a backup encrypted if you want to keep passwords, wi - fi settings, history and health web data as appropriate.

I used the same approach when Siri has ceased to be able to call my contacts and none the less drastic reset would fix it.

  • Apple ID asked when restoring from a backup to iCloud

    Hi all

First time poster, long drive date...

I just updated from an iPhone (new) 6-6 s (reconditioned). During the process of "ICloud restore backup" on my device of 6s, he asked a password to *, in addition to my password for iTunes/App Store.

At first I thought it was a remnant of the previous owner still present on the device, but after Googling * it seems that this account is not isolated to my question / unit. It doesn't seem to be a solution or explanation on the forums, but exactly the same problem. Have I possibly bought a reconditioned unit that was previously Jailbroken? Is anyway of deletion * completely from the device/account?

I tried to erase content and settings a couple of times and yet one time, through the process of installing but * is always asked. Support or people who may have additional information would be appreciated.

Whenever people download an itunes - song, ringtone, or app, as the software has an identification label. Tag contains information of apple ID, to which it belongs.

So when you back up old phone to icloud - icloud server sees this tag and to download over restoring the backup to icloud, due respect for copyright Apple it asks you to enter the password for this software. Usually, this is a song/s downloaded illegal in some country file sharing applications. You now have the choice to enter the password if the password is known to you or skip this step and the apple server will not download this software on your phone. If copyright protection agencies read these forums for people like you who would be an easy catch. Has completely no differences this phone, you restore, you can try to restore your old phone - same thing will happen.

  • When my phone rings it's a buzz instead of a real ringtone

Instead of a normal ringtone in the list, my phone started today with a strange ringing ringing noise.  Any ringtone I select, I get the same.  It's almost like the tone of urgency for a yellow alert, which is disabled on my phone.  Any suggestions?

Have you paid for the option of the ring when you bought the phone?

    A C & P is appropriate here...

If it has NEVER been jailbroke, here are a few standard repair procedures:

First of all, try a system reset.  He heals many ailments and it's fast, easy and safe...

Hold down the power button and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You won't lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

If the Reset does not work, try a restore.  Note that it is nowhere near as fast as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via a cable to the computer that you use for synchronization.  In iTunes, select the iPod/iPhone/iPad, and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen instructions for restoration and don't forget to say 'yes' to the backup and go back to iTunes on the computer (NOT iCloud) because it is more comprehensive.  You will be notified that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be deleted, but that the restoration is complete, you will be asked if you want the backup content to be copied to the iPod/iPhone/iPad.  Even once, say 'yes'.

At the end of the basic restore, you will be asked if you want to synchronize the iPad/iPod/iPhone.  As before, say 'yes'.  Note that syncs selection will disappear and the restoration will terminate if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If this happens, only applications that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective is simple – bottom right of iTunes, choose manual 'Sync '.

If you are unable to do the restore (or it does not help), go into Recovery Mode according to the instructions here.  You will lose all your data (game scores, etc.,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being recharged.  In addition, read this.

  • I bought a ringtone that never showed up; reported to Apple, who criticize it. It's always nowhere is located on one of my Mac products.  Any ideas?

I posted a ringtone and the long song the day even the iTunes Store on my iPhone 6sPlus.  The song came through fine, but the ringing never did.  I reported it to Apple, who responded by saying that they "can't download".  The ringtone is yet to be found.  I have a Macbook Pro and Mac desktop, all OS El Capitan, on the most current OS and the latest version of iTunes.  This ringtone is ANYWHERE, not even the cloud.  Any ideas?

  • Yesterday I bought the iPhone 6 s. Where are ringtones purchased from my 5 c?

I bought ringtones on my 5 c for more than a year. Now I have a 6 sec from last night and my ringtones are not where.

Where have you looked for them? Tones are once only download from the store, so they will not appear for redownloading on your new phone, and a restoration of iCloud copy them on it. You in the section of tones from your computer's iTunes library (have you you produce > devices > transfer purchases when you had the old phone to copy them to your computer?), and/or on your backup copy of your downloads/library, so that you can synchronize with the phone?

  • How can you save ringtone on external device

I had to do a factory reset after backing up my data to iTunes. When I've restored everything, my ringtones disappeared. I contacted support and they me regranted the purchase, but I would like to know how to save this ringtone on an external device, so that if I do a restore again, I have my ringtone

You have it redownloaded on your phone or the computer iTunes? If your phone, then connect to iTunes on your computer and file > devices > transfer purchases, it must copy the ringtones from your computer's iTunes library section (if you it download on your computer, it should already be there); Select ringtones from your computer's iTunes library section; Right-click (command-click on Mac) the tone and select 'Show in Explorer' ('show in finder' on a Mac) and that should take you where it is located on the computer so that you can copy

By default, your iTunes library is stored in:

    • Mac OS x: /Users/username/Music
    • Windows XP: \Documents and utilisateur\Mes Documents\My Music\ Settings\nom
    • Windows Vista: \Users\username\Music\iTunes
    • Windows 7 and Windows 8: \Users\username\My Music\iTunes

(I think that Windows 10 is the same as the 7 and 8).

  • How to clear the lack of ringtones on iPhone 6s?

When I go to general-> Storage-> sounds, he says I have 480ko worth of tones downloaded, but I can't find them anywhere. Even on iTunes, it says I have 4 songs (480ko) on my iPhone. I tried to look for them under on my camera, but my music, audio books, tones, etc. are all empty. It doesn't make sense, because I never even downloaded all the songs or tones in the first place. This has been bothering me for awhile now since I've had this problem with my old iPhone, also. I guess that when I restored my iPhone backups, these "songs" also transferred. Is it possible to get rid of them?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello avrirrta,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that you have some missing tones, that you are looking to get rid of it on your iPhone. The first step would be to restore the missing ringtones, once you have done, you can then keep or delete them. The following article should help you with the first step.

  • Ringtones/notifications

Where are the notifications/ringtones stocks? Calendar and Contacts show me a list of files that I copied to/storage/emulated/0/Ringtones, but they don't show any of the pre-installed sound files. Notification of calendar is actually still on "Default ringtone (Droid Notification)", but if I ever change that by selecting one of my sounds, I don't see how I'll be able to restore.

I wonder if there is a default value defined in an application that you can't see the default sounds. The best way to find out would be to tap Settings > applications > Menu > reset the application preferences. If you do this, remember that all the default values on the phone will be reset. It is not a major event, you just choose your default settings for all again once you open files with different applications.

There is an application called 'Default App Manager Lite' which will show you all the defaults set on the phone for each app using this app you can understand that is the app you can't see the default sounds. Please let me know if this helps or not. HTH

  • Custom notifications and ringtones not available more

I can't take when this happened, but it was last week, but custom notification and the ringtone that I put restore the default values, and the phone is no longer see them in the list.

Initially they sounds (mp3 and wav) were in directories in the main repository, Notifications and Ringtones I moved the in the subdirectory of a music that I found online, but I still don't see them in the list.

The only thing I've done recently is updated the built in "Themes" app.

Someone at - it else discovered this and been able to solve the problem?

Actually, it's funny you mention it as a reboot seemed to have worked without even seeking the .nomedia file.

I restarted the phone between the messages and the selection is now available.

    Bug somewhere, I guess.
