Restore my laptop after refreshing?

Hello

I had problems with my Samsung laptop forcing me to refresh my PC. As with everyone who has posted on that it was a complete disaster, which resulted in losing me all that I really need on my computer and reinstalling all programs from Samsung that I had previously removed. The update also seems to have remove my ITunes library as well, (which contained somewhere over 20,000 songs) and all Microsoft Office programs, (world, XL, Powerpoint, ect). My question is if I can write the windows.old file, the update process creates on a disk and use it to do a system restore, so restore my computer as it was before the update.

Thank you very much for any help/tips

Hello

You can try to update the drivers for hardware on the manufacturers website and see if that helps.

Try to run Windows Update and install all important and optional updates for who can have the drivers for the hardware as well.

Also, check out the link below:

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Update-driver-hardware-isn ' t-work correctly

I hope this helps. Otherwise, feel free to write us again and we will be happy to help you.

Thank you

  • How can I turn off the laptop after restoring it to factory settings?

    Hello everyone

I'm selling my Portege R830-10 q If I want to restore it to the settings to factory (out-of-box state) AND THEN TURN IT OFF.

I brought the laptop to factory settings successfully using the _TOSHIBA recovery Wizard_ and choosing * factory default software recovery (Recover State out-of-box) *. However, at the end of the process of recovery and after everything is back in place I was not able to TURN off the POWER to the laptop. It only gave me the option to restart. After rephrasing it, the Windows installation process starts.

I don't want to install Windows, i.e. language, keyboard, user account, etc. I want to leave the Windows installation for the person buying the laptop to me. How can I turn off the laptop after the recovery of the system without having to install Windows?

    I would appreciate your help.

    Concerning

    Pedro

When the recovery process is complete and you are prompted for a reboot just press start button / stop and turn it off. I think it's only thing you can do.

Anyway, why not start Windows and go through the configuration option. New owner can modify this basic anyway parameters. As username Admin and language and the keyboard can be set as default.

For example, if you have a picture of German recovery set to German. New owner can change in any case.

  • Cannot connect to my laptop after the restoration

I had to restore my laptop to original factory caused by viruses setting.  Now he asks my user name and password to connect.  How can I find that?  He asks a window user id and password?

Since it is a factory fresh restoration, I do the restore again and ensure that properly, you create a username and password during the Out of Box Experience. It's something you should do every time you installed a new installation of Windows.

1 type the name you want to use for the user name that is created locally on the client and click Next.

2 across your account, a password page, type a password (twice) and an indication of password and click Next.

    3. on the Type of your Windows product keys page, enter your product key. If you do not fill this field, you will have 30 days to provide the product key. (I leave the product key white on test machines). The automatically activate Windows when I'm online checkbox is selected by default. If you choose not to enter your product key, clear this check box and click Next.

    4. the Please read the license terms page requires that you select the I have the license terms box, and then click Next.

5 to protect your computer and improve Windows automatically page, there are three choices: use recommended settings (download and install all OS patches, drivers from Windows Update and Windows Defender updates, IE filter phishing and other updates when they are available), install important updates only (downloads and installs updates only) and ask me later (updated Automatic turning off the power). Choose the setting that suits you and click Next.

6 set your time zone, the date and time on the review your page, settings of date and time and then click Next.

    7. the current position of your computer setting determines how secure your new customer. If you are on a home network of trust (which has a firewall between the client and the internet), choose home network. If the client is on a network of trust at work (once again, when there is a current firewall) choose work network. If you are in a coffee shop or any other public place with no known between the client and the Internet firewall, choose the network audience.

  • The difficulty to restore my laptop to factory setting.

I came home one day to find that there was a virus on my HP Pavilion Dv7 - 4009tx Enterainment Notebook PC and since I had important things backed up on my external hard drive I have much better just to restore my laptop back to factory settings, I find the best way to get rid of problems like this. (they rarely anyway).

So I turned off my phone and then launch it and press F11, the window with three boxes popped up, I already knew what to do but the ability to set my laptop to factory settings was not in the first box where it should be, thinking that I made a mistake I looked on the internet and it said : this is how you do it. Confused out of my mind as to where the option went I tried the three other options available in the "I need help immediately" box and however the laptop has restored back to factory settings, but not completely, programs and software initially provided with the laptop were no where.

I tired the other method to restore using the Restore Manager, option restore my laptop to factory setting was there to my greatest joy and I clicked it expecting it to be restored, but rather after the restart he come to a window with the restoration of the system and repair the start and a few other options.

I'm really lost to restore my laptop to its factory originally settings as I had done a few times before. Nobody knows what is happening or what I'm doing wrong. My laptop runs only two years soon which means that it is not that old to have this kind of weird problems and I really need my laptop to do my uni work, I need to fix as soon as I can.

    Hello

Virus problem has probably corrupted the partition on the computer. In this case, you will be unable to perform a factory reset of the recovery partition.

You will need to perform a recovery using the HP recovery discs. If you have not created any recovery media after the purchase, you can order online them or directly call the technical assistance for the embedded discs out to you. This operation brings the computer to factory again.

Here is the link to order online:

I would like to know some information.

    1. What happens when you try to sign in with your Microsoft Account password?

    2. You get no matter what error code or error message?

    3. Were you able to reset your password correctly?

  • I want to restore my laptop!

Help! I want to restore my laptop to its first used condition, how can I do this?

    Hello

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    Hello

You are unable to update or upgrade Vista 32 bit to 64 bit of Vista.

32-bit to 64-bit, or 64 bit to 32 bit is done by a new installation using a full version of the operating system.

32-bit and 64-bit are different operating systems.

    See you soon.
