Restore the backup, including the musical selections?

Hello

My iPhone 5 broke, Verizon sent me a replacement and I've just restored from iCloud.  However, no media was transferred on the iPhone.  All the music is on my computer, but I have too much music just sync all songs.  When I loaded the previous iPhone, I selected three songs on this album, five songs of this album for 50 GB.  As you can imagine, that took me quite some time, and I often backed up I went, thinking that the backup to synchronize automatically my selections of song if I restored it.  Is there a way to do this?  If I have to pick me at the hand of thousands of songs again would be really, really boring.

Thank you.

It would seem that this music has been synced to your phone from a PC/Mac via iTunes.

No backups contain music. You must re-sync via iTunes. Your playlists is still on the computer with your music within iTunes.

    Questions 1)

Not because the LRDATA file is fair previews, what LR displays on your screen for a faster loading of the image and will be recreated. The previews only stored in the folder LRDATA is the basic overview created at time of importation for the display of thumbnails and previews of 1:1 for images that you have actually looked in the Loupe View or I guess that appears in the develop module.

He get all the data to create the image themselves file extracts.

If you have several files on your system that have pictures in them and you select one of them that you have not looked at in a while, you will notice LR creation of previews for these images, there will be 3 white dots in the upper right corner of the thumbnail. It's LR creation of previews for the thumbnail view. If you scroll quickly in the grid view, you'll notice a few thumbnails of images are gray, until you stop scrolling, then the upper left tile will come in clear view and the white dots will appear on the other images. It's LR creating previews for those of other images. Once LR created the preview of thumbnails that are on your screen, white spot will disappear. If you scroll down again, you will see more white dots

If you switch to another folder that LR begins again create preview images in this folder. The total number of previews created and stored based on caching of the preview you have in the catalog settings dialog in the management of the files tab.

If not, you need not the LR Previews.lrdata folder. Whenever LR is not very good this folder with a catalog he recreates it to store previews in.

  • Windows complete PC Backup Image - impossible to restore the backup on my laptop after the restoration of the C drive.

My user profile is not loaded correctly, and so Sony told me to do a restore of the C drive which took my drive C back to factory settings and lost all my programs and files.  I tried since then to restore the Windows Image backup I did on my external hard drive.

I open backup and Restore Center, click Advanced Restore, click Advanced Restore again.  The box application to what you want to restore?  The only option is to files from a backup made on a different computer.  I click Next, and he said: select the location of the backup to restore.  Hard drive, cd or dvd option has already found new Volume (e), which is my external hard drive.

I click Next again, and he says, select dates to restore from.  The only option in the box is dated 2008-01-12 14:14:34 backup location is not available.  My external hard drive has multiple backups on it, including the Windows Backup Image (which was the first backup, I did and it contains 152 GB), and so I do not understand this.

I continue, and then click Next.  It now says select files and folders to be restored, but there is nothing in the box.  I have check the restore everything in this backup box and click Next.  I save the files restored to the following location - check and navigate to the C drive.  I also check both boxes: restore files to their original subfolders and create a subfolder for the drive letter.  I click on begin to restore, and then he said:

Restoration was unsuccessful.  Error: the parameter is incorrect. (0 x 80070057)

I'm desperate to be able to get my programs and files back on my laptop.  I don't understand why the restore function can not see my Windows Backup Image, and why this is so difficult.  I've read other complaints by users about this, but cannot find a solution.

I look forward to hear from you.

    Thank you.

    Hi HGHFaith,

I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1 : Clean boot the computer and then try to restore

Follow step 1 in the link below,

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.

    If the problem persists,

Step 2: Run Check disk to repair bad sectors on the hard drive.

    a. Click Start, in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    b. type E: (external drive) and press enter

    c. at the command prompt, type chkdsk /f and then press ENTER.

    Now, type chkdsk/r

Note: CHKDSK would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular area.

Check whether the problem is resolved

I was not able to complete the full implementation of the solution Dell Direct USB key due to various problems.  .    Dell ended up sending me a new Windows 7 HARD disk image.   I have now the laptop up and running again with Windows 7 and have various applications installed.   That's all pretty well.  But now how do I get my data files restored?   Basically, I want to connect the external drive to backup and complete step 19 of the solution, as described below.

Here are the steps OS using the Dell USB key:

    1. Boot from the Direct USB Key by tapping F12 at the Dell logo, then select the
USB Memory Key option from the boot device menu.

    2. Accept the Dell End User License Agreement (EULA) by clicking the box next to
Accept, scroll down till the end of the license agreement and then click on
    continue.

    3. On this screen, the usb key gives an overview of the process it is about to
perform, click continue when ready to proceed.

    4. The Smart Repair solution runs a surface scan on the system to identify any
errors with the boot record or the startup files. If any errors are found, they
    are automatically corrected.

    5. Once the process completes, there will be an analysis summary, in this case,
there is no issue found by the smart repair, click continue.

    6. In this window the user can select what data they would like to back up, they
can either go with the default backup solution or they can click select more to
select more files for backup, click continue after selecting files for backup.

    7. If user clicks on select more, they will get the screen below, they can go
ahead and select the necessary data for backup by checking the box next to the
respective folder, sub-directories are selected by default once the root folder
    is selected.

    8. The user will be prompted to attach a USB hard drive to the system, user
needs to connect the USB Hard drive at this point and click continue.

    9. Once the solution detects the USB hard drive , it goes ahead with file
    backup.

    10. Once the files are backed up, the solution will back up the user personal
    settings.

    11. The Direct USB Key displays a summary of the data and personal settings
    backup. Click continue.

    12. The Direct USB key then proceeds to install the operating system image on
    the system.

    13. Once the operating system image is transferred, the drivers are also
    transferred.

    14. After the operating system image and driver transfer, a summary page comes
up giving the user information as to what process was performed successfully and
what failed. The user needs to remove the USB key at this point and click
    restart.

    15. The system restarts and comes to a flash screen on recovery and restore.

    16. After the flash screen, the applications start installing.

    17. Once the applications are installed, the user would see a summary screen
informing them that the Operating system has been restored, connect the Direct
    USB Key and click restart.

    18. After the restart the user will be prompted to connect the data backup hard
    drive and then click continue.

    19. The files and personal settings are then restored from the USB backup drive.

    20. After the files are transferred the system comes to the desktop with a pop
up window informing the user to check the device manager for any exclamation
marks, the tool also guides the user to download the drivers from the support
site and the applications from My Dell Downloads and Dell Digital Delivery. User
needs to select the check box to prevent the message from being displayed again
    and click close.

  • After the system restore, drive Windows media said that there is no element in the music library. Internet Explorer Favourties tab is empty

Original title: problems after a system restore

Not just a system restore last night (Windows 7 OS).  And now the various little things do not work quite as it should.  For example, my windows media player said now that there is no element in the music library.  He shows me how to include files in my library, but when I do this (and my old files are still there in my music) nothing happens.

Similarly, my favorites of the Explorer tab was empty.  I restored an older version, but the bookmarks that were under folders still will not appear in the favorties tab, even if I can see them when I look at the old version, I used to restore.

    Hello

-For what reason were you running system restore?

-What version of Internet Explorer is installed on the computer?

I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.

Method 1: Launch Windows media player troubleshooting library and check.

Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-library-Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

Favorites may not appear in the address bar of Internet Explorer 8 after the upgrade to Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/974852

To do: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Restore the backup after using a temporary machine for 2 months?

I had a problem with my MBP that had a new motherboard fitted.

Before he went to the interview, I did a full backup and for the 6 weeks have used a temporary MBAir.  When I started to use Air, I have a full restore from backup that I thought that I would need only there for about 1 week.  I copied all my work files needed overall, but don't mind not upload any music, photos, etc.

I now have my MBP back and need to restore from the backup, BUT I also want to be able to synchronize all my work files, so that new files, I added to my working directories or keep the files that I have updated in the last 6 weeks.

Any advice on how to do this, please?

Very difficult. Above all, it should only be done manually.

On the laptop with clean OS... assistant migration allows to recover your files in the backup.

The MBA, copy the files to the MBP... easy enough for documents etc... hard work with emails... etc.

Due to some problems with my MacBook Pro, I recently erased the hard drive and reinstalled the OS X.  All is well except for minor trouble.  One of them is mail folders where I had saved messages in Apple mail.  I would like to get some of these old messages that are no longer available via gmail IMAP, iCloud, etc..  Where are these files located?  I have the last time machine up to before I did the clear operation, so I know I have the files.  Don't know how to access.

Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select Library/Mail/V2. Enter your backup and restore mailbox store.

  • System Restore (with backup) for Windows XP how to restore the files from here?

I saw the other posts for this but they have not answered the question. When I look in the C drive, and open the folder backup (backup C:\My--01/12/23 1134 AM), my photos, videos and documents are not available or are invisisble. When I tried to make hidden files visible, all my desktop icons and all the Start Menu program buttons disappear. I can see the files when I search with a software such as jdiskreport - 1.4.0, but I'm unable to move with this program. When I tried to move them with jdisk... they is locked in the tree of files of jdiskreport. Whenever these trees of missing or file icons has locked, I had to restore to the good previous restore point. In my view, the full restoration of the system (with backup) fails and should be avoided at all costs.

So, if someone knows a way to access these files, I would appreciate the help of course. And please, no answers don't like "cannot not you just copy and paste?" because it is not currently a solution until the files are visible without erasing my desktop and the Start Menu.
