Restriction ACS 5.2 AD authentication failure

I have my ACS AD-related give access to some features of network administration and I created an access strategy to link my ad with network devices groups and sets of commands.

Unfortunately, I find that I can use any user from my ad to connect me to my devices. Only the CONNECTION, the definition of the permission is limiting the command assign users.

How can I limit the logon to a specific ad group?

Thanks in advance.

You can specify your policy configuration?

You do radius or Ganymede?

If you return an authorization profile "deny access" it should be good enough on the shelves. Not sure about Ganymede if.

    Hi Nicolas,.

You can configure a restricted VLAN using the command "action event authentication failure allows vlan (number)" and limit access to this vlan using the ACL.

  • Cable 802. 1 x an authentication failure - credentials pop-up window

We have recently implemented dot1x wired network authentication based in institutions; majority of PCs are windows 7.

It is necessary to have a PDP Windows once all authentication failure happens on the LAN NIC. What we are doing is running the wired autoconfiguration service, and in the authentication network adapter tab, we store the credentials of the user; Once these credentials expire or authentication fails for some reason, the network card indicates that the authentication failed, but he he invites, on the desktop or anywhere, a pop-up window that allows the user to enter different credentials.

Is it feasible by any means of configuration in windows 7, or by the code?

    Appreciate your help, thank you.

Did you go digitalpublishing.acrobat.com, connect with the Adobe ID and accept the terms of use? If this is not the case, do using a computer. You can't do this from a mobile device. This is not an automatic process, you must do it manually.

  • vilogger in vMA 4.1 authentication failure

I have several hosts ESXi 4.1 and have set up a vMA 4.1. I added all hosts with quick passage of authentication, using vifp addserver. I can connect to the individual target host and it works very well. I also activate vilogger to collect newspapers of all servers. After active vilogger, it creates folders for each host and copied the files of newspapers in these records. Everything was going well at this point.

Next day when I went back to check if she was still collecting log files, I found that all hosts had "Authentication failure" status. If I disable and enable vilogger, the State spends to had to assemble an authentication failure.

an organization can help me. Thank you.

  • Authentication failure to notify the destination in Oracle uility publishing

    Hello

I recently started work on the Complutense University of MADRID. I am developed the site designer. It is time to publish the site. So I installed the Oracle Publishing utility on the content server machine. I installed the Oracle subscription client on my machine.

I created the destination in the studio edition uitility Site. When I try to check it says authentication failure.

I configured in the Client as content providers. But still I'm getting the same problem. If any bady has any idea, please let me know. I think this doen't have atchments, other wise I could download the screenshots.

    Best regards and thanks,
    Nirmala Vijaya Sekhar Varre

    Hello

Make sure the UUID of the SSPU and client of the subscription are matching since when SSPU tries to connect with Sub Client, then check this UUID and if it matches only authentication is approved and materials can be pushed to the client Sub or destination.

The SSPU UUID must be copied in the UUID that is displayed in the client Sub.

    Hope this helps

  • In the Console of the Cocomo Dev authentication failure

I have two Adobe ID - one I've had for years and one that I created just to test Cocomo - and I'm unable to connect via the Dev Console with or any of these accounts. I always get the message "Authentication failure" when I try to log in.

I tried to use the meeting URL and the URL of the account (they seem to be different - the URL I enter in fact the meeting is different from the URL that appears as the "account URL" in the management page on http://cocomo.acrobat.com) but I still get the same error.

    Customer card:

    OS: Windows XP SP2
    AIR version: 1.5
    Flash Player: 10
    COCOMO SDK: SDK 0.9 Beta
Proxy type: NTLM (this has caused problems in the past with Adobe products, but applications seem to be coming out correctly in this case).

Any ideas what might be going on or how I can get a more detailed description of the error (I can't find the logs of error anywhere)?

    Thank you
    John.

I finally found what it was!

I thought that he could have the password, so I created another account using the "new Dev? The Sign up button! "with a simple password (letters and numbers only - no! @# $%^&*() characters).

There are obvisouly something to do when the AIR app sends the password to the remote server (URL encoding maybe?).

mpbikc - try to change your password or create a new account with a simple password and see if it works for you.

  • [Cisco ACS 5.2] EAP - TLS authentication failure

    What we are e

    Hello

I set up a WiFi connection on Windows XP and Windows 7 with EAP - TLS (using Cisco WLC 7.0.235.3 and Cisco ACS 5.2.0.26.10). It is configured with the authentication of the computer and computer certificates are automatically registered for Microsoft PKI.

    It works well!

Now, I configured Windows 8 with the same configuration.

First authentication works, but if I manually disconnect and reconnect, I got this error on ACS: 22047 username main attribute is missing from the client certificate

In the EAP packets, we could see that Windows 8 sent a TLS session but ticket session has not properly taken over by ACS...

Configuration of the ACS, we checked the option "enable EAP - TLS Session resume' with the session timeout"7200 ".

    I found this bug

    http://Tools.Cisco.com/support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId= CSCtn26538& from = summary

It seems to be my problem but the reboot does not work in my case...

It is set at 5.3 (0.40.2).

I plan to install version 5.4.

Do you know if this fix is supported by 5.4?

    Thanks for your help,

    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,

What is set in point 5.3 must be set in point 5.4.

Even if the same issue appeared with 5.4 there an ID different bug and identified as an independent issue (with different causes, usually)

  • ACS, WCS, PEAP, Machine Authentication

We are building a new wireless network with a new unit of ACS 5.2 and new controllers LAN with WCS.  We want to create a SSID encrypted/secure ONLY the machines managed by our care who can access the LAN with.  We are looking for the best solution with a minimum of complexity.  After that several internal discussions, we seek to use authentication PEAP (testing with a self-signed certificate), and then create a strategy to access the ACS to validate the machine is a member of Active Directory.  Unfortunately I can't find the way to validate membership of the machine.  I don't know if I'm missing something or if this is even possible.  If anyone has any suggestions for that to happen, or a better way to handle this, I would appreciate the help.

What you need is the authentication of the computer. The machine will first authenticate with its letters of nobility (AD account) and then the user authenticates too. This option is available in the windows client.

Then, you can also set the ACS to only allow a user to authenticate if the machien was authenticated before.

You must enable auth on the ACS server machine (users and identity stores--> external Identiry stores--> Active Directory, check the box to turn on computer authentication)?

Also - under Access--> Access Services policies, tab protocols allowed, you enable the option "host Lookup process.

Create an access policy, activate the search for PEAP-MSCHAPv2/process host, set the conditions by using the identity group and has been authenticated Machine that looks like:

    (1) if Identitty group to the computer group, then allow access

    (2) if Identtity group to the Group of users and the Machine has been authenticated, then allow access

    (3) deny access by default

More details in discussions like https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2014145

    I hope this helps.

  • With Cisco Secure ACS for Windows GANYMEDE +, authentication fails with AD

I'll put up a Cisco Secure ACS 4.2 server to act as a RADIUS server for switches and routers I use Windows 2003 server for the candidate countries.
and an Active Directory of Windows 2003 server.  The ad server is very good, it is used for many other things.

I've implemented ACS as defined nit it installation guide, including all the steps in the "Member Server" section of the installation guide
When you use AD as an external database (e.g. setting up services to run with a domain administrator account, set up a machine called "CISCO"
    on the field, etc.).

I've set the unknown user policy to use the database of Windows, if the internal database does not contain the details of the user.

If I add a user to the internal database, authentication goes through fine, with an entry in the journal "Authentication," spent

02-24-2010, 05:07:03, authentic failed, eXXXX, Network Administrators (NDG), X.X.X.X, (default), internal error, (get the internal error error message)

I scoured google etc and just cannot come up with any reason why this should be the case.
I followed all of the installation to the letter guides.  I need to get this up and running as soon as possible,
so am eager to know if someone can help me with this one!

    Thanks and greetings

    Sharan

    George,

Internal error is fairly generic, but a common situation, we see this error is when ACS is installed on a

64-bit computer.  ACS would not work with the active Manager when it is installed on the 64-bit before machines

    ACS 4.2.1.
