Resume the audio after exit & return to slide

Hi all

I searched and found this same question, but unfortunately, there was no answer, so my apologies if this has been answered elsewhere already!

I have a slide that launches a link in a new window. I put it in place so that blade and the audio narration stop when the button is clicked, but when the user returns to the course and press the ' play' button in the skin, the resume animation but not the audio.

I have the action of the button "Continue to play the project" uncontrolled, and the "Stop Slide Audio" option checked. The audio is inserted directly into the slide as opposed to the attached to objects.

Thank you!

Run a tip action. To this action to pause the project with ceding companies cpCmndPause with 1, also open the popup. Do not run stop the Audio to slide.

Captivate gets in a strange state of pause if you do not check continue to play the project.

  • How can I stop audio when you return to slide

On one of my slides, I have a smart form with click box crept on.  When learners click on the action is: access to another slide.  On the other blade is a close button that navigates back to the last slide visited. When they go back, it restarts the audio.  How can I stop the audio when they return?

You don't need to click on a smart shape box, it's much better to make a button to the form: http://blog.lilybiri.com/why-i-like-shape-buttons-captivate-6

Click box has by default a point of suspension at the end of his chronology. If you don't, take a look at accordion Options, where you can uncheck the break.

A default form button is no break, but you can add a suspension point to the Timing of the shape button accordion.

A click box, a button, a button of form are intended to trigger an action, they have a break or not. When this action is simple (on the accordion of Actions), and the user clicks top, action will be executed (as something) AND head out of reading, it will continue until the end of the slide, and then go to the next slide. If the action is "Go to the next slide", the images after the suspension point of the form/button/click on the button box will be passed, has not visited.

Be careful with the navigation to the last visited slide, that you don't get in a loop.

  • Unable to resume the quiz after reviewing (Captivate 7)

I want the ability to resume the quiz and read it again. If I fail the quiz on the first attempt, both review and complete recovery buttons. However, if I first review quiz and make it back to the results page, the recovery test button is gone.

Is there a way can I fix? I can't find anything in the quiz preferences that would indicate the recovery button disappear after reviewing the quiz.

No, the way as Captivate Quiz is designed, as soon as you use review, the possibilities of recovery have disappeared. As they say 'by design '.

If you stay with issues by default, you will have to deal with it. Maybe the rollback feature could help, where you send a user to a content slide when it fails to a question. But that means he must answer every question correctly, prior to it.

  • Have problems with the Audio after upgrade to Windows 10

I got a free upgrade for Windows 10 option on my laptop Acer Aspire SW5-011. Everything seemed to work fine, except that I don't bother checking the audio before deleting the files Windows 8... Even if the computer thinks that the Audio drivers work very well that they are not. I have tried everything that I could find online to see if I could get any sound, but nothing has worked. I updated the drivers, kidnapped rebooted and updated the drivers, I tried to find the other acceptable drivers and other follow-up steps. "When I go to reading tab in the sound and click speakers, and then I go to the Advanced tab, the default format said, ' 16 bit, 48000 hrtz ' is grey, I can't click on it and when I try to test it says:"Cannot play testtone" It's as if something prevents me from accessing or it acts like I'm not pregnant? The speaker driver is called "Intel SSD Audio Device. The audio worked fine before downloading. Is it possible to fix my Audio, or to have access to it yet?

Good so I had to update my post because I had to give the good news! However, that is how I am and I almost try everything and tinkering with different things. My audio works now. I went back the download Acer drivers and manual for my camera and I checked under 32-bit Windows 8, which was windows available. I installed my ID which has been deleted before when I had restarted or any number of things, I tried, and then I went in Drivers and installed the Master Installer. I made sure that I extracted all the files before proceeding with the installation. After it restarted my laptop I heard the Windows startup sound and I knew that it worked because I had no sound at all before. Not sure why it worked, but it did! I felt there was some sort of missing file or a compatibility issue, I'm just happy that the program helped master installation. http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers/5687;-; SW5-011 #_ga = 1.21697787.1131678756.1448199856

  • Problems with the audio after reading

Sorry in advance if this has been asked before but I'm not 100% sure on how to describe the problem im having with my audio after export. Here is a link to the video - https://Drive.google.com/file/d/0Byffs2-9EE3bdDdWcDNVNGVaMnc/Edit?USP=Sharing . * Please TAKE NOTE THAT THE LYRICS ARE EXPLICITES AND so THAT THE VIDEO CAN BE OF A GAME VIDEO IT IS GRAPH * then the audio sounds fine edition and when I export the level is of approximately - 18 dB, but when you play quicktime sounds almost like his crackling and popping and im not sure why. If this made a difference im playing through some monitors connected through my AU Apollo Quad interface. Thanks to anyone who can help understand me what's wrong.

Just an update. It turns out it was my interface. He plays very well with quicktime, but I downloaded VLC and it works fine now. Thanks again.

  • Problems with the Audio after export in Premiere Pro CS3

I am currently working with Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and after that I have export my project to an AVI or MPEG (does not seem to matter), you can hear the buzz stirred in the background during the entire video.

The audio sounds absolutely perfect everything while listening to him itself, it is only after I export it.  This is the first time it happened, I've never had these problems before.

I tried to turn off multiplexing, I tried MPEG2 vs DVD in multiplexing with no difference.  I tried MPEG vs PCM as audio format, I tried different frequency, different bitrates, constant or Variable and nothing seems to work.  More funny, if I export as a part of the video, the audio seems fine.  It is only if I export the entire video I have that noise of snoring, restless in the background.  I thought that maybe it is just a file in the project which is the cause, but no matter what part of the video I export, it sounds good... I don't understand.

I have attached an example of my problem in this post... anyone got any ideas?

To Render & replace, select an Audio Clip and choose (Toolbar) Clip > Audio Options > Render and replace. A new Audio Clip will be created and will replace the Audio Clip selected in the timeline panel.

Now, there's these Audio Clips of multiplex Audio & video, files or separate the Audio Clips?

    Good luck

  • Pause and resume the download after the judgment?

Is it possible to stop the download and resume after a stop/restart?

    Download: CS6 Master Collection trial

    System: Mac OS X 10.6

    Yes.

In Adobe Download Assistant, next to the progress bar, you will find a pause button quite small.

If it does not automatically start, click the same button and it should begin where it left off.

  • How to resume the update after the internet connection is interrupted?

My App stopped QQ update because I had an internet connection problem, now it is stuck on pause.  I have to delete the app and reinstall?  Or is there another way because I don't remember the password.

    Hello Cyclops123,

I understand you are having problems updating the QQ app and it seems to be stuck update. Let's see if we can get smooth it.

I'd go with your suggestion to remove the app and then download it again from the Mac App Store. You can do this by opening the Launchpad, then click now on the app to make them move. Once this happens, you should see a X hovering over applications that can be removed. Click on that and it will be removed from your Mac. More details in the first articles below.

    Hello

I am importing PowerPoint files in Captivate 4 with the view with audio recorded separately on top of these PPT Slides.

The PowerPoint file and associated slides to import with no problems. When I import the audio in the timeline view, it treats the MP3 file without any problem and adds the audio file to the library and the first slide. I can get the window asking me how I want to import the audio, to shich, I select the audio acorss to distribute several slides option.

In previous versions of Captivate, the Audio sync popup then appears to allow me to choose at which points to divide the audio between slides. Unfortunately the Audio Synchronization window does not appear.

My system Details are as follows:

  • Save button missing in the Audio edition

I use 6 Captivate.  I want to change the audio on a couple of slides at once.  My approach has been to select the first slide, I want to change and then press CTRL + click on the second slide.  Then I go to the top of the screen and click on Audio > slide.  The edit box appears and I can edit, but I can't save.  I can't click anything else in the program selection until I record, so I have to stop the whole program, which makes me lose the work.  Is there a better process for editing a few slides at once?  Why did the "Save" button missing?

    Thanks for your help.no_save.png

  • How can I prevent Captivate to advance to the next slide, after the end of the audio and I click on click to show/hide sidebar box?

I currently have a slide that plays audio.  While usage is listening to the narration that I can click on three different click the boxes with advanced actions to open and close text boxes, I want the user to read the value.  When reading narrative ends and I'll click on the boxes to click to read a text box, it moves to the next slide.  I understand that I may have to replace the box with smart buttons click but I don't know how to stop the progression to the next slide.  I already have a next button that is put on pause until the user clicks.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'm on a tight schedule.

Quickly, I created a sample file, just have a slide with three form buttons that act as the toggles and a next button. The first three buttons break late exactly at the same time and the next button.

Since it's the slide by clicking the audio stops no audio at all (common misunderstanding). I created a shared action, with the purpose to display and the variable (mine are labeled v_one instead of v_visib) as parameters:

StarOne is what you want to show/hide. You can click on infinite time on each key to show/hide this element. He won't interfere not audio, once he started playing he will continue. When the audio is finished, you can still continue to click. Just click on the next button will advance to the next slide. It's my calendar

No need to rewind the playback head in this case at all.

  • Has no Audio after than Windows 10 Upgrade on the venue Pro 8

I upgraded my windows Pro 8.1 for Windows 10 8 coming.  After upgrading my audio system failed.  There is no speaker output.  I can't say for sure, but I guess that the microphone input has also failed.  I tried to address in trying to update the audio drivers, but Windows tells that the installed drivers are up-to-date.  In Device Manager there are two devices reported as follows
    (1) Intel ESS Audio Device (WDM): 604.10135.1010.531 driver Version, dated 25/05/2015.  and (2) codec Realtek Audio I2S: 604.10135.1010.531 driver Version, dated 25/05/2015.  is it okay to have 2 devices like this for audio?   I don't know how to check what audio system is actually present in the material for this tablet.  I'm a little nervous on the uninstallation of one or more of the devices in Device Manager without knowing what device is supposed to be there and where to find the correct driver.   Could someone point me to the correct process to diagnose and fix this?

    FIXED!

I solved the audio problem rolling back the drivers.   I followed the inst to the 3rd point of windows.microsoft.com/.../fix-sound-problems

Before doing so, I used the audio Panel to try to diagnose.  When I tried to use "set up" for reading and test selected, I got an error that the system couldn't procduce the sound to send to the President.

To make the repair, I selected these drivers that were somehow still available on my system.  For Intel ESS, I chose 603.9600.1948.30594 dated 22/11/2013.  This alone has not resolved the problem, because I then changed the driver for the I2S for: Realtek #6.2.9400.4028 dated 30/08/13.  After the system restarts, I returned the audio Panel to test.  SURPRISINGLY, I heard the test sound.

  • What happened to the Audio? After several minutes/hours, the noise disappeared.

That's what I don't understand. It has happened before, but it was not the worst. But it seems that the worst has happened now. I don't know why audio continues put muted even when she is not really silent.

Then again, I find, then typed Audioand selected find and troubleshoot Audio playback problems , then it brings me to the Troubleshooting Wizard. The problems of the East, troubleshooting wizards can not find the problem. And even if I look at the details of the speaker, it says it's working properly. Not only the sound is affected, but also the Microphone. Finally, I thought that it is a serious problem.

Then at that time, as I click on the Volume icon and selected soundsand I went to the reading tab, and that I right click on the speakers and the Test, it actually says: the camera is used by another application. Please close all units are audio playback on this device, and then try again. I'm happy that I finally found why my speakers will not work, but the problem does not stop there. In addition, I do not understand, I only use Google Chrome and I believe that this will not affect the speaker, or maybe it could be something else. I use some applications, but they do not seem to affect the audio.

Please I need help. I need to know the solution to this problem. The only solution that I can do is to simply restart the computer. Yes, it is quite effective, but I don't have to restart my dozens of PC time to get my speaker is working again. I need a solution to this problem will be corrected and never come back. Without audio, I can't listen to music or watch movies. Need urgent help please!

    Hi BhoyKim,

This problem is usually due to driver related issues or because of any third party/app program. I would like to know some information about this problem so that we can help you further.

    1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    2. are you this issue while using any specific program/app?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.

    Method 1:

Try to update the Audio drivers from the Web site of the manufacturer of the computer or from Windows Update and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to update the audio drivers:

    a. press Windows + X keys, and then click Device Manager.

    b. expand sound, video and game controllers.

    c. right-click on the sound card , and click Update driver software.

    d. restart the computer and check.

    Method 2:

Put the computer in a clean boot state, and check if the problem persists. This will help you determine which third party/PPP program is causing this problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 or Windows 8 / 8.1:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, see the "How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting" section in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Please reply with the status of the issue so that we can better help you.

  • How to reset audio after you click on the other buttons

I have a slide with audio intro on the slide itself, and several buttons that, when you click on play other audio files. Everything works as it should, and clicking on a button again stops all other audio (such as configured in advanced action).

My question is related to the audio reset when the user clicks on the button a second time. When I click a button, then click other, and then click new one, I would like to the audio back from the beginning. Currently the audio resumes just where she was off for the first time I clicked on the button.

Any ideas on what to do?

    Ok.  It's weird.

Well another thing you can try is to attach the audio clips on the timeline of the slide, objects that are hidden and just use the button actions that you want to DISPLAY these objects at the same time HIDE all other similar objects.  This means that when the object is shown it will play audio sound attached, but stop when hidden.

See if that approach gets works as expected in cloud of SCORM.

  • read the audio data on the first visit to slide only

I have a slide which branches off in three different branches that all guide the learner to the same slide again once the branch is completed. I would like to see as the audio to play only novice users slide, not when they revisit it.

Jessica, I responded to your other thread. Please, can you have a look at the article on the Timeline?

Each video and the film play with a certain frame rate: frames per second. To Captivate the default frame rate is 30 fps. This means that a slide with a default duration of 3secs has 90 images. What I explained, is that you can navigate to a certain range on a slide, using the system variable cpCmndGotoFrame or cpCmndGotoFrameAnd CV. I call this 'micro navigation' workflow and wrote an article on this subject (busy, it seems that this word was adapted by of many CP users):

Micro-Navigation in Adobe Captivate - Captivate blog

When the user clicks a button on the slide, it will be in the active part, before the point of interruption. By using this command:

    Affect of v_frame with cpInfoCurrentFrame

This variable will store the number of the frame where the button was clicked.

Upon his return to the slide the advanced conditional action checks the value of v_frame:

IF v_frame is greater than 0

    Expression cpCmndGotoFrameAndResume = v_frame - 2

    ON THE OTHER

    Continue

I use the command of Expression rather than affect because it is possible that the user has clicked just about to pause, and I want to be sure that he is returned to a location before the suspension point, in the active part of the button. That's why I subtract 2 (frames) of the value in v_frame.
