  PXE - E53: No boot Filename received it means only that the computer wants to start from the network adapter, but it does not find any server start.

  If the LAN is defined as any first a priority option to boot in the BIOS settings you will get this message. The ad is quite normal.

  Usually the announcement does become notable either. It may happen if the HARD drive hits.
  If the HARD drive is no longer available or defective, the computer with the error PXE - E53 stands!
  It is possible, however, that 'only' that the master boot record is damaged (by virus, or simply just not lucky...)!

  I found the reason of this problem. Problem was quoted in commODIEnv.cm and agent.cmd... many citations (quotes in quotes, that's why java becomes crazy)

• Foglight - selector WebMonitoring agent agent problem

  As you can see on the image, I have a LARGE number of available agent. I was testing to see how I could get on a flgam put t two concerts.

  When I was pushing the flgam to its limits I deleted the agent screen agents. Waited an hour, and they mounted again. So I ran the script of delete-object-fade and checked back 5 minutes later and they were gone from host > Agents in data manager. Yet, they are still in the selector of the agent.

  I waited an hour and always there. I reboot the SGF always there. So I finally deleted the entire agentmanager since data manager, and they are still there. No idea what I'm doing wrong here?

  I m unable to get symantec backupexec 12.5 to open my VM 5,07 SCO. I ve installed the agent and on the agent.log file everthing is OK. I, ve restart all services. I think that everything is ok, but I, m getting only backupexec to see the virtual machine but when I try to open it to see the folders & files I get a unble to connect. Someone at - it managed this work.

  Hi, I have deleted the agent of vdm among my Windows XP VM and am now unable to rdp inside. I have it installed properly windows concerned. No idea what vdm did so I con cancel and get rdp works properly again?

  No doubt you have verified that the 'Terminal Services' service is running, there are always exceptions to firewall for it (if ongoing enforcement) and PortNumber is set to 3389 in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp"? Have you tried to disable 'Remote Desktop' in system-> remote control and reactivation properties? Netstat shows anything listening on port 3389? Can you telnet to port 3389? Anything in the registry?

• Impossible to get an agent to register with WHO

  I'm under Grid Control 10g and I'm having problems with an agent is not able to communicate with the WHO. So I deleted the Grid control agent, target server uninstalled and reinstalled again. Now, the agent is running, but the Grid control is not picking up the agent. The search in the logs on the server target, it appears that the agent can be blocked, but because that the target is not appear in the Grid control I cannot Resync it. Does anyone know how I can get this agent speak again the Grid control?

• Default VSAN (TTF = 1) storage strategy: large disks get stripped?

  What I discovered while ivestigating a resynchronization VSAN problems, is that two virtual machines have vdisks that are divided into multiple objects.

  It's strange because the default storage policy only sets FTT = 1.

  It is strange that there are RAID1, RAID0, RAID1 with the default policy objects, as seen in the attached screenshot.

  I guess that is somehow linked to the size of the vdisks. I also checked that wihth another installation of VSANS, it sound the same.

  Can someone tell me what size VSAN decides to scratch vdisk objects?

  I have two problems with the collection of process parameters directly via the 'Process' of service platform service:

  This I bypassed with restarting my agent with the root user (even if it's not very satisfactory).

  In solaris you shouldn't need to run as root.

  The solution is based on the ppriv command.

  I downloaded User Agent Switcher. I went to the iPhone and visited Yahoo email. Now, I can't send back in the format of origin even after the User Agent switch back to default. • Historic Windows Update displays do not correctly after installing problem updates 7.6.7600.256 for Windows Update Agent?

  Had the problem on the 25/06 reboot after the installation of update 7.6.7600.256 for Windows Update Agent (required system restore).

  This (with duplicates) and subsequent updates are shown as successful in the history of the update, but shows always date of "updates have been installed" on the home window Windows Update like 13/06/2012 (previous updates) and updates later only the fix (KB981889) shows as available in the Uninstall list.

  How will I know if the Windows Agent Update and other subsequent updates installed correctly?

  If the Update Agent update has not been installed correctly, is there a solution for this?

  There is a patch for version 4.1.4. 4.1.4 ACS must be installed before you install this hotfix.

  Instructions on how to install the patch

  1. make sure that Cisco Secure ACS Agent 4.1.4.13 is installed.

  2. extract the files NTlib.dll, CSLogAgent.exe, CSAgent.exe, CSWinAgent.exe, NAS.dll, ConsoleDLL.dll, csvLog.dll, EndPoint.dll & odbcLogger.dll of Acs - 4.1.4.13.16 - RA.zip

  3. stop the Cisco Secure ACS Agent service.

  -2 x ACS Agents on member servers remotely

  -2 x ASA

  We would like to authenticate the VPN users connecting to the ASA via the ACS and active directory.

  I have configured the remote agent following this link:

  Most likely, this is a Permission problem. What OS and SP you use.

  Have you tried to run the remote agent by using the LOCAL account instead of the service account that you created?
