Revo RL70 Media Center Tuner card detection problem

Brand new RL70, Win7, AVerMedia A373 minicards Dual DVB - T seems to be installed correctly, indicated in the device with the latest drivers Manager. When you configure the TV Signal in Media Center, no signal TV or channels are. Manual setting indicates tuners exist, but no TV signal. Detecting TV signals takes more than an hour, as channel scan.

Am using the existing TV equipment (antenna, cable, etc.) which is proven to work.  Any ideas?

As I was at a loss, and a solution was not forthcoming, in desperation a tried upgrading to Windows 8.  Success!

I assume that the installation of Windows 8 and Windows Media Center has replaced an original image from Windows "corrupt."

So not really a solution, but problem solved.  Only problem is now the remote does not work with widows 8!  I see another thread on this point, so a common problem.

    Practical Hi, Jeanette

TV tuners are of two types of basic model: external TV tuners, which usually plug into a USB port on your computer and the internal TV tuner cards, you must install inside your computer.

  • Media Center does not detect not tv tuner

    Hello!
I use Vista Home Premium. My Media center says that there is no Tv tuner. In fact, I have two Philips and Pinnacle tv tuners. Device Manager indicates that both are with upto date drivers and working properly. How to solve it?

    Hi components,

Welcome to Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

I would like to ask you a few questions in order to get a better understanding of this issue.

    ·         How long have you had this problem?

    ·         It worked before?

    ·         Did you the latest changes on the computer?

I have a few here that might solve the problem.

A.) first of all, this could be the problem with the drivers, you may need to update the drivers for the TV tuner card, follow the steps below to update the drivers:

(i.) click Start > type in Device Manager in the start search > expand the device in Device Manager > right click on the device > click on the driver tab > click on update drivers > click OK.

    (B) now the computer restarts and check if you are able to use media center, if the problem persists, I suggest you uninstall drivers and reinstall again.

II.) click Start > type in Device Manager in the start search > expand the device in Device Manager > right click on the device > click on the driver tab > click Uninstall drivers > click OK.

Now reboot the computer that will automatically install the necessary drivers for the TV tuner card.

I have also a windows server backup from my computer. I restored my computer to a point where the computer work and it didn't work. I looked everywhere on the internet and you can find a lot of people with the same problems, but not answers

my card is displayed as working on Device Manager too so it must be a software problem.

I have HP slimline is now Windows 7 and Vista. When I upgraded to Windows 7, I did not go off Homegroup. My Vixs tuner worked fine for 2 years. Recently, may 2011, I decided to start the homegroup; What a mistake!

In windows 7 go to "Administrative Tools" and launch 'Services '.

Please help me to answer the question.

    Hello

Thanks for posting the question in the Microsoft Community forums.

According to the description, you need to know more about the Tv tuner and tuner Radio (FM) for Windows Media Center.

To listen to the FM radio in Media Center, you will need a tuner FM connected to or installed on your computer and an antenna connected to the tuner to receive a signal. FM tuners are very similar to TV tuners in fact, many TV tuner cards have a built in FM tuner.

This occurs when WMC tries to connect with the Extender Setup. I followed all the steps to configure the Extender according to the microsoft Web site. But something does not work. HELP Please!

    Hi Riclop,

    Thanks for posting on answers.com.

First, disable the program anti-virus or firewall that runs on your computer and check if the problem persists.

Note: because some anti-virus software will cause conflicts between unexpected applications, please temporarily disable any antivirus, firewall or anti-spam on your computer programs.

This problem occurs if the floating language bar is enabled on the Windows Vista-based Media Center computer. This configuration closes the connection between the Media Center Extender and the Media Center PC.

To resolve this problem, change the settings of the Media Center Extender language bar. To do this, follow these steps.

Step 1: Configuring settings on the Windows Vista - based Media Center computer

    1. Click Start , type intl.cpl in the Start Search box and press ENTER.
    2. On the keyboards and languages tab, click Change keyboards.
    3. On the Language bar tab, click docked in the taskbar under options from the language bar.
    4. Click OK.
    5. On the administration tab, click copy to reserved accounts.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click continue.
    6. Click on the checkbox by default (new users) user account , and then click OK twice.
    7. Click Startand then click Windows Media Center.
    8. Click tasks, and then click settings.
    9. Click Extender, and then on the Xbox 360.
    10. Click Uninstall, and then close Windows Media Center.

Step 2: Configuring the settings of the Xbox 360 console

    1. In the System of the Xbox interface section, select computers.
    2. Select Windows Media Center, and then press the A button.
    3. Select Disconnect.
    4. Press the B button repeatedly until you return to the System section.
    5. In the media of the Xbox interface section, select Media Center.
    6. Advance in the instructions on the screen to get the 8-digit setup key.
    7. Note the setup button.

Step 3: Configuring the settings on the Windows Vista - based Media Center computer

    1. Click Start and then click Windows Media Center.
    2. Click tasks, and then click add extender.
    3. Click Nextand enter the 8-digit setup key you obtained media of the Xbox interface section.
    4. Follow the prompts to complete setup of Windows Media Extender.

When you copy these settings for reserve accounts in the 1st step, you change the settings of language bar for all new users that are created on the Media Center computer. After you add the Windows Media Extender, you can reverse these changes so that all new users will have a floating language bar. To do this, follow these steps on the Windows Vista-based Media Center computer:

    1. Click Start , type intl.cpl in the Start Search box and press ENTER.
    2. On the keyboards and languages tab, click Change keyboards.
    3. On the Language bar tab, click floating on the desktop under the language bar options.
    4. Click OK.
    5. On the administration tab, click copy to reserved accounts.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click continue.

    6. Click on the checkbox by default (new users) user account , and then click OK twice.

  • Connection problems on Netflix in Media Center: "there was a problem of signing. Make sure your internet connection is working and try again. »

Original title: Netflix in windows media center, connection problems

I saw disorder connect to Netflix on windows media center. I am running windows vista x 64. When I select the icon of the login screen appears, but when I try to connect it comes up with the error message "there was a problem of signing. Make sure your internet connection is working and try again. "my internet connection is fine and I can connect to http://www.Netflix.com/, so this problem should make windows media center, but I can't understand it. I have updated windows and windows media center and I'm still having this problem. Thanks in advance for any advice.

The most likely explanation is NetFlix changed something in their routine of authentication (i.e. SOAP structure or just a URL string, whatever) and who broke the Vista NetFlix WMC client. It did not affect the web interface of NetFlix because operated a NetFlix service, they were obviously aware of the change pending and adjusted their web client to use the new method.

Customer WMC NetFlix in Windows 7 (which is a new product), was probably already coded to use the new method. The client in Vista has continued to work with the old method, until NetFlix finally stop this method. Microsoft, slow to react and to assign developers to fix the Vista NetFlix WMC client missed the deadline and Vista users have been in the dark for a while.

That's pretty standard for web services that cross corporate barriers. Particularly involving slow mega-body like Microsoft. A company change a routine and the other has to play catch-up. Communication is often difficult between the divisions within a company, between companies, it is often non-existent.

The level of prissy whining in this thread was good for a laugh however. Those threatening to cancel NetFlix: rolleyes: your access was still working on their Web site. You were not without service, just, without the convenience of WMC. People grumble at Microsoft... anyone know if Microsoft was still knowledgeable of * when * NetFlix was going to turn off the old authentication? If they were told the night before (or any) "Hey let's turn off the old authentication routine" what kind of response do you expect? How long is it since the problem began, 28 days? It's actually a pretty fast for an element relatively low priority. Or it could just be that NetFlix reactivated their old methods of authentication as a temporary solution to this problem (they share a part in creation) until Microsoft can respond formally with an update.

Now if Microsoft was duly informed advanced evolution of the service, still dragged feet (quite possible) I don't give them no slack. But at the end of the day, it is always a matter of low priority. It's fixed now, be happy until the next time that Netflix change their authentication routine.

  • Unable to connect to Netflix via Media Center: "there was a problem of signing. "Make sure your internet connection is working and try again.

Original title: why is Netflix in Windows Media Center does not connect to the internet?

I watched movies on Netflix via Media Center before and I've never had any problems. However, I did use the Netflix on Media Center app for a while. Whenever I try to open Netflix in Media Center the bed error statement there was a signature issue. Check the works of your internet connection and try again. This product even when I'm connected to the internet, can surf the web, download music on iTunes, etc. What is happening and how to fix it?

Tried to access Netflix today and I found to work again on my Vista 64 Media Center. Anyone who is on this thread should see if them is work and response back.
