My RL80 turns on, the fan turns on, but issues continually and won't place.  I can't say if the HD is rotating upward.

Date of the meeting 1/13.  RAM 4 GB, 500 G HD.

Tried unplugging the battery and moving that the clear bios jumper.  Always do the same thing.

  • How can I fix computer that does not start after the fan turns phase?

I have a Compaq Presario SR5510F PC, Windows Vista Home Premium, AMD Athlon x 2. Lately, my computer is even worse at the start. When my computer starts, the fan should run for a few seconds, then it should stop and lead at the start with Compaq logo screen. But lately, the startup was completely terrible for my computer. Today, most of the time when I press the button in the box of the computer, the fan turns on and it continues to turn, and nothing comes on the screen. It isn't that rarely when the fan stops running, but then the monitor displays always upwards in white and VERY rarely when the startup screen appears, then it freezes on this screen. At this rate, my computer is totally useless when it does nothing but run his fan. This means that I can not go to boot options at all and go to the "last good configuration". What can I do to fix the computer when I can't have anything with her while she is empty?

It sounds like a hardware problem, not a software problem.  If the computer rarely gets past the BIOS (material audit) stage of the startup sequence, then Windows is is not yet involved in the boot process again.  Request assistance from someone trained in the skills of troubleshooting hardware since this can become very expensive very quickly.

  • Computer won't start; 3 long beeps, the fan turns

    Hello

I have a desktop HP equipped of Windows Vista that does not start correctly.  When I turn it on it looks like it is starting, I hear the fan, the computer will beep 3 times in a row (I would say long beeps) then stops and beeps 3 times in a row again.  Then nothing on the monitor, fan always running.  If I didn't get anything I think that the computer and the monitor's energy-saving.

Before I turn it on the screen says no signal so I think the screen itself works.  I don't quite see the HP splash screen.  Pressing F8 during startup seems to do nothing.

I created Vista backup discs (food?), but I don't think they are bootable.  Some back story: a few weeks ago, I tried to download Windows Live.  After installing the updates, I could never Live DL and the next day I got the blue screen of death.  I rebooted, you press F8 repeatedly and Windows started normally.  Although it worked fine for a few days I felt nervous that I did a restore of the system around October 31.  Everything seems to be ok for over a week but now I have this problem.  I thought to upgrade to Windows 7, but do not know what to do at this point.  I've never opened a tour - answers Google talk out of ram or certain types of error of keyboard Bios (3270 keyboard card).

Help, please!  Sorry to be so long.  :-)

  • Tecra S11 - 11 H - stop with the fan turns

Tecra S11 - 11 H stops - seems ok, but when the screen is off, after 3 seconds, CPU-fan begins to operate.
Pressing the power button / stop a few seconds turns off the machine and shut the fan.

Support put me to upgrade to the latest version of the prints digital-device driver, but I found the software, no drivers.

They also told me to upgrade the bios to the latest version.

Problem is that this update of the bios will not start. He complains about power cord power supply not connected or battery power is low.
The two isn't true - power cord is plugged in and the battery is fully charged.

    What could I do?

    TIA

    LGKF

    Hi lgkf,.

Yes, I think the support from Toshiba is just because I found this article on the Toshiba page:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB0C032L0000R01.htm

As you can see, update the fingerprint software can help you get rid of this problem, then you must update the software of fingerprint. The pilot is a part of the software, then download the package for fingerprints on the Web from Toshiba site.

Uninstall the older version, reboot and install the downloaded version.

    Check this box!

    Hello

Toshiba Power saver is preinstalled on all Toshiba units.
This software controls the function of the cooling module and CPU usage.
You can set the processor speed and performance of the fans.

  • Windows XP will not start only the fans turn on.

On one morning and crashed. Light around the power button flashes as standby. Only way to closing was to unplug the power to the unit. It is AMD 6400 w/XP Pro x 86. Have straightened him with restoring & installed windows updates. Then began a loop. Uninstalled updates & BONES seemed to work OK. Next day morning tried to start & one thing turns on fans. Time for new computer?

    Hello Gary_57,

If the only thing coming in right now is fans - no BIOS or other splash screens, then it would be time to contact the manufacturer.

    The monitor detects a signal?

Do we have here no beeps when you turn it on?

What happens if we the power button for 10 seconds and then try to start it again?

  • Satellite Pro P300 - 13 m - boot problem: black screen with 3 beeps

    Hello

Satellite Pro P300 - 13 m, I bought a few weeks ago and in time, I had about 5 - 6 times the same rear screen when I tried to start the system. When he does this notebook gives 3 loud beeps (not sure what that actually means).

When he does this I have to press the power button for 5 seconds and after several times doing this that it will show the Welcome screen toshiba... then sometimes it will automatically restart again and I get this annoying black screen again. Most of the time when I wait about 10 minutes and try to do as well the system starts as usual... Yes... very strange thing here.

To be honest, I don't want to send the laptop for Toshiba once again, as I could use for my business...

Then. What could this be? I've already updated the latest version of the BIOS.

    Thnx in advance

    Carl

    Hello Carl

I have the Satellite Pro P300 (PSPC1E). I installed Windows XP Home edition and my Vista. Use the two operating systems with success and everything is OK.

Have you noticed that on the first day?
Your laptop is placed correctly on the desktop without cooling vents?

  • Why my PC fans turn at maximum speed all the time?

    I have a (new)< 3="" months)="" hp="" pavillion="" p7-1449.="" the="" fans="" (case+cpu)="" tend="" to="" run="" very="" fast="" (load)="" until="" i="" restart="" the="" pc,="" and="" hit="" esc="" for="" boot="" options.="" i="" usually="" enter="" the="" bios="" screen="" and="" exit="" without="" changing="" anything="" (by="" this="" time="" the="" fans="" slow="" to="" less="" than="" 1000="" rpms="" each) ="" and="" the="" pc="" boots="" up="" with="" the="" fans="" at="" the="" lower="" speed.="" the="" fans="" stay="" low="" until="" the="" load="">

I hear fans ramping down when I do and reported by the BIOS fan status seems to support my theory that the fans really slow. Unfortunately, I do not yet have equipment controlling software installed on my PC so I don't see no confirmation of the fan speeds up when running in Windows 8. [HP has none of these tools?]

If I stop and restart Windows 8 normally (so that it uses its startup optimizations 'fast'), then fans seem to go for the maximum RPM.

The machine was purchase in Nov 2012: apparently not the internal dust is the problem and it would be not fixed by forcing a boot cold. I suspect that it is a software problem (I consider the offending software if it does not reset the hardware correctly at startup).

It seems that the fans turn upward but never slow down: is it possible to fix this? I wish that the machine to shut up when it isn't loaded (without having to reboot to get it that way). Otherwise, there is no performance or stability problems (yay).

    Hello..
This seems to be the problem with your bios on the desktop.
Discover the same fan speed if you have only the keyboard, mouse and the power cord is connected.
Also check out an update of the bios on the desktop.
This would probably solve the problem.
You have a bios update available on the HP Web site.
    Click on the following link.

    Link - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4132&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5306208#N240

Check to see if that fixes the problem. Or other RESPONSE.

  • HP 8510W boot not until the cool, the fan runs at high speed

I did a little research but didn't really much other than dust cleaning. I did this, even removed the fan and the heat sink.

    Operating system: 32-bit Win7

Early days of cold, boots upwards, normally, the fan turns at slow speed. CPUID Hardware Monitor shows all the time in the range 30 c - 60 c. From a web browser will cause the fan to spped, finally at full throttle, CPUID HW Monitor says:

    TZ2_ up to 90 C

    TZ5_ up to 100 C

    Remote1 up to 90 C

    Other times remain in the range of 30 c - 60 c

The task manager's performance tab shows 1%-3% CPU, 30-40% consumption of Mem.

Close all does not help, time remain high and the fan continues to run at high speed. Reset does not succeed, it will cut down, try to restart and stop again. Finally, it will sometimes get a screen where Windows thinks it could not start and wants to fix/reinstall the files, or go back to a restore point. If to cool for 10 to 15 minutes, it will start normally with the low fan speed until something starts to run (CPUID HW Monitor and Task Manager do not cause the fan speed).

So nobody knows what TZ2_, the TZ5_ and the Remote1 map 30 5 8510W mother? Is this a real plus temp likely situation, ot possibly a problem with bios/driver not reading sensor properly?

Well well, so far, no response, but I seem to have solved the problem. I tried reverting heatsink composed of all chips connected to the conduct of heat with no improvement. By checking things right after a stop, I noticed that the graphics chip was too hot to the touch even with the new complex. This meant that it was not the heat pipe.

Ordered a used one from eBay, put it in and now it's stay nice and cool, not more than 60 C.

The part number for the heat pipe is 452227-001.

  • Satellite U500-10F - Dungeon fan turning ON and OFF all the time

    Hello world

Just bought my u500-10F and installed Windows 7 Enterprise on this.

Having a very weird problem, the fan keep turn on/off all the time every 10 seconds or more, even without any CPU load. Any ideas? Is there a fan control software?

    Rgds,
    Arley

As you know that Win7 is not released and without support, there is therefore no Toshiba Software for any type of power control and the fan at the moment.

Have you noticed the same behavior of fan preinstalled Vista operating system?

  • Satellite A300D - fan turns very hard and the laptop gets very hot

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction as what to do with the overheating problem that I currently have with my A300D. I had the laptop for less than a year, it is still under warranty but I don't know where to go or what to do to fix it.

The problem: about two months ago, I noticed the fan turns very hard and also the laptop gets very hot. Now it runs so hot the laptop shuts down completely. The heat being driven out of the laptop is so hot! burn your my infact.

Anyone has any advice they could offer me.

    Thank you

    Hi James

You wrote that you have the laptop less than a year, so my question is this is already cleaned it?
The laptop needs to be cleaned every 3-4 months and I do this every 3 months. Whenever I do I m wondering how much dust out and after this procedure the portable is a lot cooler.

  • Latitude E5430 - problems with the fan control

Hi, I just bought a Latitude E5430 expect to get some laptops Dell Business quality. I use Windows 8 x 64 (in mode UEFI) BIOS A09 and the latest drivers available at dell.com.

The problem I encounter is that as soon as the fan turns on, it does not turn off for a long time (blow fresh air), even if there is no high load system (only Internet Explorer open) and the temperature is lower than 50.

Basically, the fan starts at a temperature threshold, cools the processor at 38-40 ° C, and even if the fan running does not cause the CPU more cool, it continues to operate for a long time (10 minutes or more) (while the CPU temperature constantly remains at 38-40 ° C). :-(

Please forward this issue to the Ministry of development of the BIOS so that they can provide an update that improves the fan control.

Everyone also having this problem, please take a look at this post from Dell-Terry B:

Same problem here. A09 BIOS update did not help. My specs: i7 - 3520M, 8 64-bit Windows

Fan noise continuous ist boring and a fix would be appreciated.

  • Satellite A10 - problem of the fan and processor speed

    Hello

Recently, my computer stops and overheated while clunked there fan who told me that I had to clean the fan and the heat sink. I have it done, replaced everything and then turned back on my computer. The fan seems fine now except that it only lights up for about a second and a half and then cuts off. While the computer on, it is not overheating but the fan just trying her continue again and again and again and turns off after a second or two. I think to compensate, the computer is running only a percentage of its capacity because on top the fan doesn't work does not correctly, the computer is running about 50 percent more slow it was 10 seconds before it overheated.

When I replaced the fan, I noticed that the card that turns the fan was wobbly, which would have something to do with it?

Assistance, alternatives or insight would be extremely appreciated.

    Best regards, Niko

    Hi mate,

In your case, it could be that the fan cable to the motherboard could be defective. Thus, you´ve has already removed it, just so it again, remove the fan and check if the cables and connectors are OK.

If the fan or the cable is damaged, then replace the fan. IMHO the bearings could be faulty too, so it's another reason to replace this fan (and the fan is really NOT very expensive)

If you need some parts, google for or ask an authorized parts service center:

  • Satellite A30 - 404 - the fan does not work

I have a Satellite A30-404 for a couple of years now, and recently I saw serious problems with my laptop.

Let me start from the beginning:

My laptop has been a few months, when he suddenly stopped, I contacted the helpline and they picked up the phone and fixed.
Again, a few months later, it happens again and I call them, they tell me that the problem is caused by the dust accumulating on the radiator of the laptop.
I used a vacuum among fans to clean dust.

When I do that, indeed, there was a lot of dust coming out, so I made this process, I realized a few months and the laptop remained very well.

A few months ago, when vacunuming the pc again once I heard something breaking and I soon realized that all the components of one of the fan where gone.

Probably one of them broke and since it had to be rotated at high speed he stopped and beat all the others. So I had 2 broken fans 1. I realized that in the long term that my processer could be destroyed because it did not good cooling. Since then the processer would become very hot and consumes much more energy than normal.

Now, I also have the problem that whenever I turn on the pc it starts slowly draining battery (its plugged into the power supply). It's like I have a giant battery, the laptop power and eventually it will turn off. I also tried to boot the pc with no battery at all and it works very well for a while, but then it turned off suddenly. I try to turn on the pc and after 1 or 2 seconds it stops again. I don't know if its related to the fact that the processor is damaged boats.

I talked to a lot of people in order to get the fixed fan but they say it can become very expensive since its hard getting the same fan. And by the way, when I work on the computer with only the battery that it depends on almost an hour

    Any suggestions? Help, please

EDIT: I turned of the auto in hibernation when the battery is low to see what is happening, the energy of the battery indicates 0%, but the laptop stays on.

    Hello

Well, you should be cautious if you use the vacuum cleaner to clean the fans. It is risky!
Extra ball bearings might damage if the fans turn too fast.

So if you have no experience with these procedures you should t do.
The person with the experience as a technician workbook must clean the fans and cooling modules.

I agree with Doomlord, and it seems that you need a new cooling module.
