RMAN restore using together until the SNA

Hi guys.
Quick question on the use of set up what SNA

When I do the backup list output shows multiple SNA for a full (I allocated 4 channels of the band for the backup of the CNS, there 4 in the output)

That you specify in the game until the Yvert command? Below it is... 163, 164... 165, 166

This is the backup that I want to use:

You must choose an SNA:
-which is higher than any file data YVERT
-to which you have linked archived red balls
-who is older than January 1, 2010.

You can try to view the related archived redo log backups with:

 list backup of archivelog until time 'Dec 31 2009';

  • RMAN restore until THE SNA in DATA GUARD environment

    Hello

    OS = RHL5

    DB = 11.2.0.3 primary and 1 physical database paused.

    I have a huge request changes tomorrow and its possible that I have an obligation to RESTORE the database 5 hours back because the application.

    I think to be adopted following the method of the official documentation of the Oracle (untilClause):

    MOUNT FORCE OF START

    RUN

    {

    UNTIL THE SNA 1418901.  # The necessary number SNA will be used here.

    RESTORE THE DATABASE;

    RECOVER THE DATABASE;

    }

    ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS;

    I will of course take Level0 backup tonight and LEVEL1 backup before the start of the work.

    My humble question is that: If this is the good method I adopt? and if so, then what about physical databases eve? Is that something to restore/recovery too? It is not required or waiting for database necessary to create again (which I'm afraid of)?

    Flash back is not enabled.

    Pack of thank you for the suggestion.

    Best regards

    You can enable FLASHBACK DATABASE on major sites and relief and set a RESTORE POINT before the migration of the applications.

    If you stop to redo expedition to the France, the waking state is the last SNA that was applied (i.e. 1001). If you need to return the primary SNA 1011 and then resume the delivery of roll forward, Eve can continue to 1002 from totally ignorant.  If you flashback primary to a SNA lower, say, 998, you would have to flashback the night before as well (997 or 998) until you can resume redo expedition to the France.

    Yes, you can, but you must purchase the full license details and do. You cannot use the free upgrade offer for dual boot.

    Will I be able to choose a different drive or partition where I installed upgrading?

    No, it will take you run an earlier version of qualification and start the update of the release candidate.

    I want to dual boot instead of replace my current version of Windows.

    If you need to install 10 Windows on a partition or separate hard disk, you will need to purchase a full license.

    SET NEWNAME FOR DATAFILE
    Now, I think, there is no advantage in using NEWNAME SET of DATABASE to. Only the disadvantages. I did anything wrong above?

    Martin;

    On the issue of the VALUE of NEWNAME FOR DATABASE, you must specify at least one of the first three of the following substitution variables to avoid collisions of names: %b f % U. see semantic entry for TO 'filename' for a description of the possible substitution variables.

    You use %f

    %b

    Specifies the filename without the fully qualified directory path. For example, the datafile name /oradata/prod/financial.dbf is transformed to financial.dbf. This variable enables you to preserve the names of the datafiles while you move them to different directory. During backup, it can be used for the creation of image copies. The variable cannot be used for OMF datafiles or backup sets.

    %f

    Specifies the absolute file number of the datafile for which the new name is generated. For example, if datafile 2 is duplicated, then %f generates the value 2.

    %U

    Specifies a system-generated unique filename. The name is in the following format: data-D-%d_id-%I_TS-%N_FNO-%f. The %d variable specifies the database name. For example, a possible name might be data-D-prod_id-22398754_TS-users_FNO-7.

    any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

    Thank you

    you are allowed when executing 'backup list', TAG20150515T105436 was one of the existing tag in you database backups (see your message)

    with your actual copies, your should run:

    Run {}

    until the SNA 1977737.

    restore the database from tag = "TAG20150515T105436";

    recover the database;

    }

    If you do a new backup with diferent tag the database to archivelog, you will use this new tag (DATABASE_TAG).

    Kind regards.

  • all doubts until the recovery clause

    Good afternoon everyone,

    I have a doubt, if I give together until the rman as clause below

    run
    {
    startup nomount;
    until the 23 sequence;
    restore the database;
    change the editing of the database;
    recover the database;
    ALTER database open resetlogs;
    }

    Then the database will be restored and recovered until sequence 22 or 23? I mean log archiving of sequence 23 also apply to recovery?

    Concerning

    Said http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/backup.112/e10643/rcmsubcl020.htm#i1000331 doc.

    >
    Until the whole of the SEQUENCE specifies a sequence number for journal of restoration by progression and thread as the limit superior, noninclusive.

    RMAN selects only files that can be used to restore or retrieve up to but not including the specified sequence number.
    >

    so it will be in the 22 included 23 is excluded.

    I'm looking for a good query to find our age % RMAN restore/recovery

    I know that my db size is 160 GB and 50 GB has been restored by rman restore in the last 3 hours, so I guess... what happens if recovery end up with an error, I have to restore again and spent several hours again or I can just correct the rman error and just do recovery...?

  • The help of SQL DBMS Flashback AS THE SNA

    I would like to use the DBMS Flashback feature in some SQL code to look at the data in a table based on the SNA.
    That is to say.
    Select ename
    of the emp to the SNA 15387125
    where empno = 442

    I know that the length of time, you can use flashback to the SNA for controllable is (thought of by default is 900 seconds), but I assure you. I have not changed the DB params on my system, and the above statement works longer than 900 seconds.

    If I try to go back to something that happened a few days ago that I get:
    ORA-01555: snapshot too old: rollback segment number 9 with the name ' _SYSSMU9_3490907396$ ' too small

    Can anyone confirm what I watch / set up to the time OF THE SNA.

    Thank you

    Available at Flashback depends on how the DB_FLASHBACK_RETENTION_TARGET parameter. By default (in 10G) is 1440 minutes (1 day). [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/initparams050.htm#REFRN10233] To learn more.

    Unless you have a particularly parsimonious DBA you must have considerably longer than a quarter of an hour. But not, of course, "a few days". Although this setting specifies an upper limit, and the window of real flashback could be lower if there has been a lot of activity that has eaten up in the region of flashback.

    Cheers, APC

  • Restore database HRCS90 question: until THE TIME which was before the RESETLOGS

    People,

    Hello. On December 2, 2013, I backed up my instance of database with RMAN with Oracle Linux 5 HRCS90. the backup of the database to run correctly. 2 files 'full_0doqhbqc_13_1' and 'full_0eoqhce9_14_1' are saved in the /backup_database_instance_HRCS90 directory.

    Because my HRCS90 database has been damaged, I need to restore the database to HRCS90 until the time 02-Dec_13 when it is saved. I have run the commands below:

    RMAN > RUN {SET until TIME ' to_date (February 12, 2013: 00:04:56 ',' DD-MM-YYYY: HH24:MI:SS') ";} RESTORE THE DATABASE ;}

    Its release: complete the restore to February 11, 14.

    SQL > alter drop database datafile offline 121;

    Its release: alter database.

    SQL > alter database open resetlogs;

    Its release: alter database.

    SQL > shutdown immediate;

    SQL > startup;

    Its release: mounted database. Open database.

    So I can execute select * TableName off HRCS90 the database successfully.

    Because the HRCS90 database is corrupted again, I need to restore it again on December 2, 2013. I have run the commands below:

    In the directory/u01/oradata/HRSC90 /:

    [user@linux HRCS90] $ rm *.dbf

    RMAN > Connect target;
    RMAN > RUN {SET until TIME ' to_date (February 12, 2013: 00:04:56 ',' DD-MM-YYYY: HH24:MI:SS') ";} RESTORE THE DATABASE ;}

    Its output:

    RMAN-03002: failure of the set command
    RMAN-20207: until the RECOVERY WINDOW, which was before the RESETLOGS.

    My questions are:

    Is that mean 'UNTIL TIME' before the RESETLOGS? How to solve the problem to restore the HRCS90 database?

    Thanks in advance.

    you have run this on your system.correct source?

    Try

    (5) name of the element: / home/user/OracleDB_Home/dbs/c-612194578-20131202-00

    Check the included file: cash SNA: cash 1947113 time: 01-DEC-13

    This backup must be available on the local system.

  • RMAN-20207: until the RECOVERY WINDOW, which was before the RESETLOGS

    Dear friends,

    I'm picking up some time and I have used this SQL in my RMAN

    reset the database incarnation 1;

    run
    {
    until ' to_date (3 Aug 10 17:50 ',' MON-DD-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') ";
    restore the database;
    recover the database;
    }

    and I get this error: RMAN-20207: until the RECOVERY WINDOW, which was before the RESETLOGS

    I thought changing the incarnation will solve the problem. I have only 2 incarnations, which is used after that the resetlogs which is number 2. So I now use 1 incarnation.

    How should I go about this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Ok...

    Now, what you have to do: If you want to point at the time of recovery, you must have a valid backup plus archivelogs in order to recover up to the desired time.

    From now on, full backup is available for the time that you asked, however archivelogs not :(

    You must make available, controlfile catalogue and begin to restore, recover up to the hour. Then open with resetlogs option.

    Hello raulganau, welcome.

    I suggest to try the system restore to restore the system to a date before the problem started. Try this...
    1. click on START
    2. click on "all programs".
    3. click on "Accessories".
    4. click on "system tools."
    5. click on "system restore."
    6 follow the instructions on the screen to restore the system to a date before the problem started
    Although the system restore does not target the personal data, I recommend always backup your personal data, just in case something happens.
    For reference, I have included a link that provides more specific information about the restoration of the system and how to use it:
    Let us know if it works,
    Thank you!
