• RoboHelp 2015 removed some after any RoboHelp 2010 ID table

  Hi all

  I just upgraded RoboHelp 2010 to 2015 and noticed that 2015 has deleted some table ID in the code.  I have the last update that brings the version to 12.0.3.428.  I tried to use the tool "Find and replace" to look into the code so that it could find < table > and replace < id of the table = "gray_table" >.  I get "No files found with the text." Despite the fact that I have 'Find in Source Code' checked.  I deleted the file restarted cpd and RoboHelp but made no difference.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Yes it doesn't have the extra space.  Only, I assumed that space was due to the removal of the ID of the table...  Not very nice from RoboHelp.

• Remove based on the substituted paragraph style attributes

  Is there a way to clear the attributes that you put in a "based on" paragraph style, on the part of start by resetting to the base?

  For example:

  • 1 a paragraph style track set to + 10.
  • You create 2 of paragraph 1-based Style and made several substitutions, including change tracking to + 5.
  • Now you realize you want the two styles have the same follow-up and you want to experiment with this setting.

  How can you erase what has been entered in the Style 2, so that any changes made to the Style 1 applies to the 2 Style once again? I realize that it is possible with character styles, but after scouring the net, I think that this should not be possible with paragraph styles.

  Go to the 2 paragraph style definition and reset the traking to the same value as the base style. It becomes as well as watt do you the basic style. Only the attributes that are different are locked.

• RoboHelp 2015 responds very slowly

  First of all, I'm sorry if I've got this post in the wrong category, but it seems that the General category of RoboHelp has been removed.

  I recently upgraded from RoboHelp 11 to RoboHelp 2015 on my Windows 2008 computer. I installed the available updates, patch 2 I believe, so there is no update that I'm currently missing.

  I converted my project, but when I started to work in RoboHelp I noticed he responds very slowly. I'm really just trying to add new topics and edit existing; I have not tried to create any output (normally, I would use Microsoft HTML Help and WebHelp options). I didn't have problems with my projects before the upgrade. It is the same size and recorded in the same place as before.

  If the slowness, I experience applies to pretty basic operations:

  • by clicking on the icon of RoboHelp in my Windows task bar
  • loading of a topic in HR
  • Click anywhere in the text; It takes quite a long time before the cursor appear where I want that he
  • text selection
  • typing; I'm type by far, but does appear on the screen of what I write

  It just feels... slow, which I'm not at all used to.

  Your project is stored on a network drive?

  If so, close the project, move it to your local drive. (Preferably in a folder for example, C:\Projects\YourProjectNameHere)

• RoboHelp 2015 excludes all conditionalized content when generating CHM with RHCL

  Hello

  I have a problem with the generation CHM via the command prompt. As the title of the topic, when I generate a CHM with RHCL.exe, all the subjects/text that have conditional tags applied do not appear in the output. The problem only occurs with the command-line RoboHelp and generation of CHM by GUI works fine. I also tried to do the same thing with an example project and the problem has persisted. So it seems that RHCL removes everything simply everything conditionalized, independently of the set of conditional compilation expressions.

  I use Windows 8.1 and Robohelp 2015. Before, I had 10 Robohelp and never had such a problem with it.

  I currently have, as a workaround solution generate CHM files manually, which is very annoying, because the generation of CHM is only a small part of our automated doc publication process.

  For me, it looks like an obvious bug. Anyone else faced this problem?

  Research on the fourms led me to this subject, which apparently has the same cause: . Help CHM compiled using RHCL differs from the same assistance compiled using RoboHelp GUI

  However, the solution it is not applicable in my case. I have also seen that it has been a subject problem, is there any progress on this?

• RoboHelp 2015 multiple authors can not access to each of the other changes

  As one of our authors RHelp update an existing topic - cash, change then check-in and all is good, because these changes are visible from the Explorer RoboSource customer as well as the history and other users/authors can see the changes made by no other author via RH2015.

  However, when author X creates a new topic and check it into Version control, there are no errors on the checkin, BUT author there can see the original newly page created and not all changes that no other author has created. Author can make their own changes, but only the person doing the updates can see their updates and no changes made by someone else. When you view the DB/project of the Explorer RoboSource Control 3.1 Client connected to the actual machine where RoboSource Control Server is installed, only the original copy of the new topic/Page is visible without antecedent change made by an author.

  • The subjects/page works as expected. (checkout, mark edits, consignment) all the updates and history are also expected and visible by all authors through RH2015. AND through RSC customer 3.1 Explorer on the RSC server machine.
  • New topic/page created - for which there are changes only the person who has checked these changes may see these changes through RH2015 and not archived by other changes. More by using their local copy of the RSC customer Explorer him only see the current and history for their own evolution.  However, if you use RSC 3.1 customer Explorer of the real source server computer control there is no history of visible changes and shows only the initial report charge/checked in the new page.

  Any thoughts on the areas to review?  Have checked the properties of file on the new issues and they look like to the files (topics) that work as expected. RoboSource control 3.1 all users have the same rights as the account admin. full access.

  We are considering upgrading to Windows 10 with 64-bit Office 2016.  RH2015 supports Word 2016 64-bit or only 32 bit support it?

  Adobe informed me that RoboHelp 2015 is certified for the 64-bit version of the word. With the latest patches installed RoboHelp, which relates the word 2013 and 2016 Word.

  The question you have so is Adobe advises it is certified, but Microsoft that warn with 32 bit apps (which includes RoboHelp I've discussed above), you could have problems. You also have some RoboHelp users who have posted in these forums that they have had problems with the version 64 bits that were resolved only by changing the 32-bit version.

  It's your call but personally unless I needed 64-bit for some reason any or a company policy that forced on me, then I would opt for the 32-bit version as the safest bet with all apps that interface with Word, not only of RoboHelp.

  If you do not install the 64-bit version I would appreciate to report on this issue on how it worked. I hope this helps.

• Why the subjects in my project RoboHelp disappear after update to RoboHelp 2015?

  After the upgrade to a RoboHelp 10 to RoboHelp 2015 project, all the themes of the project are deleted when the subjects are then updated. The project is a document linked FrameMaker - updates as planned, but when I update the headings, one of two things occurs:

  1. Links are broken and all the topics appear in the 'Broken links' folder, or
  2. All subjects simply disappear.

  (Running Adobe Tech Comm Suite 2015 on Windows 7, 64-bit; RoboHelp being updated to v12.0.2.384; FrameMaker, set updated to v 13.0.2.433.)

  I had a few successful update of the subjects if I update separately each 'chapter' in the book, but if I use the option "update all the ', the results are as shown above. And, as you can see, the results are not compatible. This happened with two projects that I have converted in 2015 of RoboHelp.

  I find no information about it in the forums. Screenshot below is included to show the effect of ' update all ' in a project.

  I appreciate any assistance with this annoying quirk!

  I tried your steps exactly but it works very well at my end.

  Try this: in the project folder there is a file named .cpd, delete this file and re - open the project in RoboHelp and then update the book connected to FM.

  Try it and tell me if it solves this problem.

• RoboHelp 2015 permitted changes on a checked out file

  RoboHelp 2015 with (to me) Visual Studio Source control (TFS) 2010 and (for other engravers) Source control integrated 2013.

  I edited the subject one yesterday and it archived. This morning, my colleague told that she had recovered at the same time and did not know how I managed to change it. Control of source to detect the conflict and she checked in its version and then do my changes.

  I don't see any way to toggle multiple extractions in HR 2015 Source code control settings, and I do not see what is happening in TFS 2010 or 2013 because I'm not an admin (I asked help from the TFS administrator).

  • Do we need to disable multiple checkouts somewhere in 2015 from RoboHelp? If Yes, where?
  • Are there any departure several issues known when opening projects from Source Control RH2015 2010 or 2013?

  You control get in TFS. Ask your TFS administrator to disable multi available on the server. (It is enabled by default).

• RoboHelp 2015 - the Page is not found

  I am trying to create a topic that links to a Web page in Robohelp 2015 using the sensitive HTML5 output; However, every time that I discovered the output and select the topic, I get the error below the screenshot of the properties of the Table of Contents Page. The link works if I paste it in a browser, however. Can someone help me understand what I am doing wrong? I often do this in Robohelp 10.

• Default start in RoboHelp 2015 page

  I use the evaluation version of RoboHelp 2015. I generated successfully Responsive HTML5 output, except the start default page is somewhere in the middle of aid rather than on the first page of the table of contents. Is it possible to change the default start page in the settings or exit?

  Also, I don't see a control on the next page in the header or frame, is it possible to add them?

  You will need to do is to click on the heading that begins the third level and choose to create a book on the page.

  

  Regarding the sequences of browse, while the old trick of using 0 for the level should work, the two latest versions of RoboHelp sport now an option to create by using the table of contents "such what ', so it should not be necessary more.

• Remove the same instance of two separate tables online

  Hi all

  I have two tables that each repeatable lines. Both tables must display almost the same information in each case of the line (I managed to code to link the values in specific cases of the lines). However, I added a button in the repeatable row, which allows the user to remove from the current instance of the line, so will they look back and realize that they do not need a line, they can take directly from the table. However, I can't seem to get the deletion affects the same instance of row of the second table. Is it possible to do this? I'm not terribly familiar with the instance Manager.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just can't understand how to identify a specific instance of the repeatable row in table 2.

  Removing instances in the event of an object that is inside the instance, you must ensure that you remove this particular instance at the end of the event.

  For example:

• Helps to remove the current instance of Row1 of a Table.

  I have a table in which I have a line of Row1, header and footer line.  I have a button in the header which adds new instances of Row1.  There is a button in Row1 which is supposed to remove the current instance.  However, when I click the button to delete an instance, it always removes the first instance of Row1.  I used the wizard in Action to get the code for the button:

  Hi, the code looks ok to me, but if your button is in a subform with a table cell, then you would have to use this.parent.parent.index in the removeInstance. Regards Bruce

• Any instance of time displayed through Firefox is 5 hours off the coast (+) (IE Comcast call time logs, each page to print, etc.). IE and other browsers display correctly as they are all the time on my computer settings. Help, please.

  Any instance of time displayed when you use Firefox see the days off by + 5 hours. I'm in Philly so use felt all other settings are correct on the computer. For example the call time display to Comcast and every foot of page log displays time + 5 hours. I have not found anything useful in Web search. I always check after each update for Firefox but the problem persists.

• RoboHelp 2015: Problem conversion of numbered paragraphs

  Dear readers,

  For a project I need Robohelp 2015 to convert a text Word 2010 numbered section headers (1. Title 1, 1.1. Title2, etc.). I would like to as Robohelp to generate topics separated for each of these headers. Not numbered headers (default value of Word) it works very well, for numbered headings I get a single subject with headers converted to Favorites. Anyone knows how to generate topics separated for each heading numbered by Robohelp?

  Thanks a lot for your answer. You're right, I had checked Pagination, I forgot to mention that in my original post.

  Numbered headers are required for the project, unfortunately. After many tests I found what caused the document do not split into several pages on the numbered headers. In the Conversion Settings window, other parameters section, I had 'List Convert Word' also checked. This causes the headers interpreted as list items and not as headers, where they were not converted into several pages. Once I unchecked, everything worked fine. Currently I do not see why they have been converted to Favorites, but at least my problem seems to be resolved.
