Root Android 2.2.

Is it a smart thing to do, for a user to android most recent to root their phone and install the new version of the 'test' for Froyo?  Also, if I install the version when the new version comes, I'll be able to update it?

No and no. Your mileage may vary.

  • No Firefox menu button on rooted android 7 "kindle fire 2 running jellybean

There is no button menu at the top right and no physical menu button on tablet. also, no Firefox option in settings of the Tablet, what happens?

As you have seen, Firefox for Android should adjust automatically depending on whether you have a physical button menu. On devices with a physical button (e.g. Galaxy S3) is not on the menu display button. On devices without physical (e.g. Nexus 4) button on the screen button is displayed.

Kindle Fire is not a supported device (even on the stock rom) so I guess there's an oddity on this device or your rom that is causing the problem.

I tried to find a way to force Firefox to display the button, even when he thinks he has a physical button available. My guess is that there should be a setting in all: config somewhere but I have been unable to find it or any reference to people trying to do the same thing online.

Unless someone else comes back with an answer, I would suggest trying one of the following values:

Try to force on screen menu buttons appear settings here: http://brandtkrueger.wordpress.com/2013/04/23/enable-on-screen-android-navigation-buttons-on-the-galaxy-s3-requires-root/

Try the 3rd party app menu on the screen. Like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=opotech.virtualbuttonbar & hl = in

    I hope this helps.

  • Xperia U of ROOTING

    Hi guys

I'm new here. just got my first Sony/Android mobile phone yesterday. I've read many threads on phone rooting android and other things, but still have questions. I hope someone here can help me out.

    1. I removed all apps like mcafee, desktop, etc. without rooting my phone. It works pretty smoothily to me now. so I don't know if rooting it would run even faster. Although knowing that there are still full of crap apps out there is really boring. so is it really beneficial to rooting the phone?

    2. If I root my phone, I would still be able to update ICS in September? or would he never officially updated?

    3. the build number is 6.0.b.1.564. I couldn't find the way to rooting it any where in the forum or on youtube. Could someone help me please?

I really don't know a lot about android.

    Thank you in advance!

    Tsering

You're obviously a beginner with android, so I suggest that you wait with rooting your phone.
Rooting itself not speed your phone, as well as for the moment, you can only be rooted if you unlock your bootloader of xperia. You can find info about it by Googling it.

Once you unlock your bootloader, you can Flash a new kernel above that will help with your phone speeing and who can be preroote, so you can delete anything you don't want or need on the subject.
But, this phone runs really smooth and I see no reason to do it again.
If you unlock your bootloader, you lose your warranty and will not be able to make official updates until you it block again.
If you are really annoyed to see all of the icons that you don't need, try to install another launcher and hide the apps, you do not use.
Not root your phone just because you read that everything else does. In time, you will learn more about your phone, and then you can make a decision on this matter.

  • How to change font?

    Hello

I bought my HP Slate 7 Android in October, and I recently discovered that I can't change the font of my tablet. I tried to watch several times in the settings and I have failed to fall on any font changing options, and more option 'font size' (it was no help to me because I want to change the styleof the police). I also tried repeatedly to download an application to change my font, but these attempts have failed because of my apparentley Tablet not giving 'root permissions' (I don't know what that means).

If you are reading this and you have any suggestions at all, they are greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

    Yours faithfully,

    Jamie

    Undespiteful,

The issue that you are facing is one of the unit is locked against unauthorized changes.

The operating system prevents you to 'User' level - you are not the "Admin".

'Root' is the equivalent of the Windows administrator.

You MIGHT be able to "root the tablet" to access the operating system.

"Rooting" will be void the warranty.

"Rooting" can brick (pause) your tablet - or it can open it.

Once "anchored", (assuming it works) you will have more access to operating system.  For example, you might be able to install this nice package of fonts.

"Rooting" may or may not on your Tablet - no matter, this isn't a question for this forum because it break the rules.  The smile.

You can use your favorite search engine (like Google, Bing, no matter) to find the "root android tablet" If you wish.  You can choose to ignore the idea (recommended) or you may decide that it is important for you.

  • Need Tablet Android root procedure (make the Slate of DOMO X3G - 4,0 ICS)

    Hello

I'm looking for a procedure to root my Android (make the DOMO X3G - 4,0 ICS Slate) Tablet... I found so many procedure from several sites, but it didn't work... so recognizing someone who tried the same thing before can share the procedure...

    Thank you.

Android devices are not a Microsoft product, or that they would be able to run a version of Windows 7, normally.

In addition, it was noted that Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) Android 4. XX cannot be easily "ANCHORED" as Google seem to block known "exploits" which gave the developers of 'root' ROM 'ROOT' access

You should see a better web forum that runs Android devices.

  • Nexus 7 deliver 4.2.1 android on a device root after OTA update

Nexus 7 android 4.2.1 has distorted the text and graphics on the 1.4.1 version. I'm the only one having this problem or it will be an update for this problem soon? Impossible to use at this stage.

There seems to be a problem when refreshing a device root with the 4.2.1 update.

I don't know how this is actually handled by google, but if you

root your device, you need to find a compatible image.

  • is it possible for a virus to anchor themselves on Android OS when not rooted?

Hi im fairly new here is possible for a virus to anchor Tablet not rooted after it has downloaded remotely the extra files that needed to infect the system, im just wondering because ive found and removed the virus before on my front A1 - 810 tablet, and sometimes I had to factory reset the device to remove the system my tab is not docked, so it's easier for me to restore, I wondered?

Recommend try you Avast from the game store, it's free and scans that you download anything, with good AV virus must be stopped to the download point. Also recommend to download Malwarebytes and scan your system.

  • A500 will not start loading Logo Android guard, never rooted always Stock Please Help

My son has tried many password twice and locked our tablet. I tried a few steps on the hard reset and now it shows Anroid on the screen, then turns off, then goes back to the Android screen stuck in a boot loop that follows. It will never start. I have a card in it but its Blanck and it seems that is where the restoration seeks to draw. Please can someone help me with this on the acquire reloaded and return to stock. Thank you.

You need to format the Tablet again.

Press the volume low botton and bttm power at the same time when the Tablet vibrates release the displaced volume due to the orientation of the screen from one side to the other, when the little letter come release all funds and do a factory reset.

If this does not work, lets say when you lock the unit with the password after that 30 minutes, it will come out to you to try again.  If something happened to send it to the service.  Be aware that this may be a reason for 1000 even a bad MB.

  • Firefox crashing on the M8 a HTC with Android 5

Installed Android 5 last night on my M8 from Verizon, and while the installation went well, when I tried to start Firefox this morning, he crashed just after the launch.
I removed the app, thinking maybe it was a problem with the browser config or a timing problem and a new install always crushed.
I tried Firefox beta and crashed as well.
My phone is NOT rooted and I did have a problem with any other application yet.

I had to resort to Chrome and I'm not happy with it, please look at the issue if I use Firefox again.

Hi again, the update for firefox 36.0.2 addressing the crash to start on your device should now be available in the google game store.
