Roughing memory task the kernel
In my menu iStat, I noticed my memory around 70%.
Perform digital "PD" was quite slow. I left DP, rebooted and tried again.
Same thing.
I open the activity monitor and there was a spot of kernel using nearly 2 GB of memory. DP took place around 5.6 GB or more.
I did some searching on Google on what could be the cause of it and some say that the sensor heat... but none of my computer fans run fort or constant.
It's never happened before.
Also, I notice that sometimes I'll hit the space bar to start or stop the RFP and will not register in the RFP as a sequence of keys. I have to mouse click 'in' DP so he can see the order of the space bar.
The computer reacts as if something in the Finder or elsewhere has received a mouse click. Almost as if there is a background process that happens which takes attention away from DP and DP so responds to my mouse clicks, unless I click on new in the RFP. I don't know if these issues are related or not (the core task and this strange interruption of DP.
I'm running the Mavericks, DP9, 24 GB of RAM.
I don't see anything else in the activity monitor hogging memory outside this core task.
Anyone has this problem or the means to track the issue?
Try a reboot.
Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolate a problem by using a different user account
If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account. Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

All sudden yesterday my computer has significantly slowed down. After checking the activity monitor, it appeared that the core tasks consumed a huge amount of processing power. A few hours of research and I was able to stop the task of kernel by disabling the csturstil. My computer is running fast, once again, but after some research more than I am worried that I have disabled the SIP and therefore my self more vulnerable to malware.
Two things to note. From my research, I gathered that these will be useful. Any idea would be appreciated, thanks.

.. system memory of the application
Can anyone suggest anything? Computer slowed right down and requested force quite apps, with the message: your system is out of memory for the application.
As suggested in another post, I ran an EtreCheck and the report is quoted below. I deleted some adware. Should I look for in this new?

MacBook Pro hard repeated panics of the kernel
Hello
I knew panic the kernel repeated on my MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inch, mid-2014). In general, a piece of software will be "quit unexpectedly" a few times (Web Safari, Mail, Finder content). Then, randomly, the system will be completely freeze two seconds and restart.
I tried running with the system in Mode safe, but panicking kernel continue to hinder. Then I erased the hard drive and reinstalled the new El Capitan (and later upgrade to Sierra). I continued to experiment with these error messages and panics of the kernel, which I can only assume means that I have a hardware problem.
I take the unit to a Genius Bar next week, but in the meantime, I was wondering if someone could look over panic report and identify a possible cause? I have never added or changed everything - the MacBook is exactly as it was when I bought it.

Attack of the kernel after upgrading to El Capitan
I need help and fashionable of despair. I get an error Kernel attack (such as published in full below) and can rule out a hardware malfunction. My situation is unique in the sense that I had a MacBook 2011 Pro - I upgraded to El Capitan and began to get the kernel attacks every twenty minutes or more. I ended up doing a restore of my Time Machine backup (which was of Yosemite), and the problem stopped. The interesting thing is that the time machine backup, while in Yosemite, never came back save El Capitan.
I bought a new MacBook Pro from Apple and restored my backup time computer machine and then upgraded to El Capitan backup, as he showed in my remarkable applications. Although less frequent, the attacks returned core. I got on the phone with Apple and we did a cover of the OSX drive on two of my computers. I get still kernel tackles. It's very frustrating and any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have the misfortune to have a model identifier 6.2 MBP that GPU problems. There was a program of replacement card logic on these models, but that has expired.
To resolve this problem, you can have the logic board replaced at your expense.
As a temporary measure, you can download and install this application:
This will cancel the discreet GPU and run the MBP using only the built-in. This will result in a decrease in the graphics performance.
Ciao.

Panic the kernel constant after the SSD update, what do I do?
I have a Mid 2012 Macbook Pro 13 inch El Capitan running. I updated to the memory of 4 GB to 8 GB last year and recently updated to a Sandisk 240 GB SSD HARD drive. Now whenever my computer goes into a deep sleep, and I have to wake him up, he resets and says the shutdown because of a problem. The ratio is lower. All advice is appreciated!

Not sure if it would be a cause of the panic of the kernel, but I have Microsoft OneDrive starts with the computer. Even after disabling this as a point of connection, however, the problem persisted. Maybe I should uninstall all together?

You have the misfortune to have a model identifier 6.2 MBP that GPU problems. There was a program of replacement card logic on these models, but that has expired.
To resolve this problem, you can have the logic board replaced at your expense.
As a temporary measure, you can download and install this application:
This will cancel the discreet GPU and run the MBP using only the built-in. This will result in a decrease in the graphics performance.
Ciao.

vmxnet3 causes panic of the kernel on CentOS 6.3
Hello
I'm running on ESX 5.1. The guest is CentOS 6.3 with vmxnet3 1.1.32.0.
When under load the kernel is short of the skbs machine hangs with the following stack:

Any ideas?
This seems more like problem open-vm-tools. Do you really need it? Vmxnet3 is supported by the kernel 2.6.32 for sources. And if you run versions incompatible kernel & open-vm-tools, you can get these problems...
BTW, open-vm-tools is NOT the same as vmware-tools! In addition, your open-vm-tools are quite old (version 9.0.0). Branch current stable is 9.4.0, so maybe it's time to update (vmware-tools is still further, iirc in 9.6.x)...)

I used my VM yesterday and opened my laptop today for the following errors.
Failed to retrieve the kernel symbols
Failed to initialize the device monitor

I noticed that the mach_kernel was missing and I touch /mach_kernel.
Any suggestions on how to get this working again?
beyonder74 wrote: How do I replace the mach_kernel file?
If you use Time Machine you could restore it from there, but you will first need to use the following command in a Terminal to show hidden system files. Tip: Copy and paste the commands vs type!
write QLEnableXRayFolders AppleShowAllFiles TRUE; Killall Finder
Then, go to Time Machine and restore it and use later...
write QLEnableXRayFolders AppleShowAllFiles FALSE; Killall Finder
To hide hidden system files.
If you do not use the Time Machine , normally we can (re) install the latest Combo update to restore it but there wasn't one, but for OS X 10.9 Mavericks so you'll need to get a copy of another OS X 10.9.0 or 10.9.1 install as it is the same in both.
Worst case scenario, take a look on: OS X Mavericks: reinstall OS X

compilation error for the kernel to install VM Player 3.0 w / Ubuntu 9.10
Recently, I performed a clean installation of Ubuntu 9.10 (kernel real time). I tried to install VM Player 3.0 (although received the same mistakes w / 2.5) and received the following errors during the recompilation of the kernel. I was running VM Player 2.5 w / Ubuntu 9.04 previously with no problems.
All advice is appreciated.

I managed to run VM Player 3.0. I'm not 100% sure that the following items, which really made the difference, but here's what I do (as root):
apt - get install linux-backports-modules-karmic-generic
apt - get install build-essential
apt - get remove vmware
chmod a + x ~paul/downloads/VMware-Player-3.0.0-203739.i386.bundle

Good luck.

panic the kernel Linux (CentOS 5.3) VMWare environment only
I have I try to install CentOS 5.3 in VMWare Server 2.x. The host system running Windows 2000 SP4 with a CPU AMD Athelon XP 1800, 1 G of RAM, and an NVidia FX5200. Whenever I try to install CentOS 5.3 the result is always the same, a panic of the kernel/kernel oops. I have other virtual machines running in the same material without problem, but these virtual machines are running FC4 and earlier versions of RedHat.
Like many I can diagnose the problem isn't seams to be associated CentOS. I believe that this is true because I tried to install CentOS 5.3 directly in the host system, and I can reach the stage where partitions are created, step I can't achieve when trying to install CentOS 5.3 in my virtual machine in VMWare Server 2.0.
I tried to increase the RAM memory used by the guest operating system, but the problem persists. I tried to disable acpi (setting the acpi = no as a startup option), made the installation using the text mode, but the same problem, the kernel panic.
According to the kernel panic information on diagnosing the problem happens in the xor_sse_2 function.
The call trace shows the following:
-
apic_timer_interrupt
xor_sse_2
do_xor_speed
calibrate_xor_block
sys_init_module
syscall_call
Code: Value of Bad EIP
-
I upploaded kernel panic message, as it was printed in the VMWare Console.
I tried to disable all sorts of acceleration in the VM configuration, changed the virtual BusLogic at LSI SCSI controller type, but the same question. I looked for the functions in the call trace service, it seems that calibrate_xor_block is used inside the md driver/module, so it must be a problem with the virtual hardware (disk, CD-ROM, etc.). I changed the virtual CDrom material from IDE to SCSI and now the guest what OS can't find the CD-ROM drive, or the hard drive, but there is also no kernel panic! Y at - it a LSI driver disk that can be used for the virtual SCSI cdrom and the hard drive is accessible?
Does anyone has any suspicion?
Thank you
Mike

This bug will be fixed in the next version/update of VMWare Server?
I can't say. I hope so.
How many times developers VMWare scan forums?
It ranges from never every day, according to the developer.
I applied the work around you suggested, and amazing it worked!
I'm glad to hear it.

Allocation of memory to the VM
I have a Windows 2003 virtual machine with memory following values:
Memory active: 357MB, granted memory: 2 GB.
When I look in the Task Manager I see a process uses 1.2 GB of RAM.
How it is possible to have a process consuming 1.2 GB if Active memory is 357 MB? The VM not the paging memory inside the guest OS.
What you see in the Task Manager, is the amount of virtual memory is allocated/paid to the process. This does not mean that memory is very active. In addition, memory is granted in pieces, and therefore generally a page is marked in memory for the entire piece. Thus, pieces is awarded under a page are marked. Thus, memory granted to a process does not always mean memory actively used.

Updated my iMAC 7.1 with 4 GB of memory with the intention to go to El Capitan, but after reading the slowness becomes the MAC, it would be best to go with Yosemite?
If you upgrade the amount of RAM your iMac should be able to handle El Capitan nicely.

I get the message "your system has wearied of the memory of the Application." So I can not open Mail, Safari, or any application. However, I can periodically, the first thing in the morning, after I Shut Down & power up, not after a reboot. I deleted a lot of photos and videos to free up space, but not luck. IPhotos, I get the mssg. "cannot import pictures because not enough free space on the volume containing the iPhoto library." The problem might be related to: 1 overheating, 2 PureVPN although I installed about 5 months ago and it was very good; 3. the MB Air was diverted (I'm worried that PureVPN may have something to do with it). Or is this a sign that I need to get a new laptop? Thanks for any help you can offer!
release disk space and short-term memory are two different things. If your computer is running more disk space, it will have a negative effect on your system.
