  I have Presario SR1463CL which had a hard disk crash. UPS already burned on a DVD back-ups went "purple haze" and could not be used. So I installed my copy of Windows XP Pro and SP2 and SP3. found and installed Realtek audio drivers and drivers SIS VGA. Original OS had planned to Intervideo WINDVD. I tried they options available and I saw Corel purchasiing of last applicable version of WINDVD 9 from Roxio. I wish that some feed back as to who would be best for my system.

• Satellite Pro A100 system blocks - Roxio UDF error

  I get regular crashes/error messages on my A100. The microsoft error report says that it is a mistake to Roxio UDF. Clues as to how to eliminate this problem?

  Remove the whole software and instead of the Roxio use Nero software of engraving. It of much better. ;)

• Req Roxio BackUp MYPC which will install on Windows 7. sp26942 says Vista only - now impossible to restore.

  Have a clean install of Windows 7 on my HP Media Center PC.  This has deleted all data, including programs from my hard drive.

  Before doing so, I backed up using Roxio BackUp MyPC 7 on a HP media drive.

  I copied sp25942 and tried to run to install the application on my hard drive.

  He said eligible for Windows Vista without any mention of Windows 7, but thought I'd give it a try anyway.

  Update has been canceled. (9998)

  There is no update for Windows 7, but there is a way to run this software. Install WinRAR (please google it) and click right and on the sp26942 and extract it. Then, go to the source folder and run setup.exe

• Equium A100-147: record now and Roxio can't find Recorder

  Equium A100-147 with Sonic, 'Save now' 7 worm, using gives 'NO recorder' and can not find the drive. If no records. I checked the box 'Save' in the properties for the drive but no joy. Also I tried Roxio software but it was also unable to find the drive.

  Please check in Device Manager if the cd/dvd drive is correctly recognized.
  Additional if you can find the drive in the Device Manager, you could try to remove it and restart the laptop.
  After restarting the laptop should recognize the device again.
  Then you should check the functionality of the drive.

  Solved my problem.

  Remove the "Sarlicense9.dat" file in the folder C:/ProgramData/Sonic and all is well. Program recreates the next time it runs.

  I bought roxio easy CD & DVD burning. and installed it on my laptop computer top! I couldn't find what I wanted to burn to DVD.  Then this EASY summer...   2. did you of recent changes on the system?

  I am not able to burn video to a DVD-R after Windows Update KB976902 installation (using Roxio Creator 2011).  I can burn video on CD - R no problem. It was not a problem until I installed this update. I can't do a system restore, the restore point will not go back to the date that I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  KB976902 is a prerequisite for Win7 SP1 update (expected soon). If KB976902 is not installed, SP1 will not be offered to the computer and you will be able to install it manually.

• DVD - R can only burn with DirectCD - Roxio, Ultra ISO recognize CDburning only - why?

  Added a Lite-on DVD - RW DH20A4P model (last year) to archive the files from my old system.  Old system: Mobo is FIC AD - 11w / Athlon XP 1800 (NOT overclocked, running 1.67 Ghz) 768 MB mem, 3 disks hard w/640 GB of storage, Win XP home.  House built in 2001, updated 6 times.  As much as I know can I stay completely up-to-date.

  DVD only burn if formatted in DirectCD, and can add files to burn (rather clumsy, loses 600 MB + ability to format).  Ultra acknowledged the capacity DVD-burn ISO or Roxio 5.  Tried a few free programs, same result.  Tried stripping up to only 2 drives (C and DVD - no luck).  In addition, "my computer shows the DVD - RAM H drive and CD J drive, however there is no other CD player.  Capacity DVD opens and burner programs Raphael CD without problem but abort engraving showing "no dvd drive found" or words to that effect.

  What keeps programs to recognize the DVD burner?  They all read capacity but can not burn a file assembled on it.  What could cause this?

  Contrary to what the 2 people above said me, single .dll files downloading from sites is a very bad idea and the exact thing you're NOT supposed to do, as the .dll file could easily contain viruses.

  d3dx9_33.dll is part of DirectX 9, and there was a lot of problems just like this one where the file is missing or is damaged. The solution is just to reinstall DirectX 9 and he will crush all the damaged dll files or missing.

  Yes the burner works in other programs I checked Device Manager and roxio is listed on the recorder, the programe is about 7 or 8 years, well before the sp 2 and 3 I heard that some older programs are not compatible with these service packs - I was wondering if there was a way around this problem - I thought of right clicking on the icon Roxio and properies then in fashion compatibility - where you select to run the program in win 95 98 win 2000 win - the problem is it is windows xp version 2002 - I'm not sure of what would happen if I clicked on Win 2000.

  to answer your other question I don't know if the pramme supports export to another program.

• Windows permanently on demand for disk of Roxio media Manager

  To start windows install continues ask for Roxio media Manager disc that produces what it will be? I can't remove programs after installation is active all the time and it wont let me delete programs. In my view, it could be related to active sync, that I might have inadvertently installed a version not compatible with my HP PDA update.

  According to a previous suggestion of forum, I checked the settings of windows installer and it is set to manual.

  If you are still having trouble with Roxio Media Manager, it is a component of Easy Media Creator and may not been fully installed.

  I suggest that you go to add/remove programs and remove Easy Media Creator, if it is installed and see if that helps to get rid of the popup message.
