  • Run a LV-application on the remote computer

    Hi all

I am trying to install an App LabVIEW functioning as a server in our local network. I might add this as a service in the respective machine autostart. However, I prefer to have a method to start the respective application of a different LV (vi or exe) go elsewhere in the local area network. This means that potential customers can start the server if it is not yet done.

Does anyone have an idea? Searched for examples and the internet for no results.

    TIA!

This question comes up a lot.  And I always recommend PsTools from SysInternals:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896649.aspx

They are a free set of command line utilities.  One of the utilities is PsExec which can be used to launch the exe on remote computers.

NOTE: Remember that setting up your remote application as an "NT Service" is a little more complex.  If you manage to actually implement a 'service', you would actually use a different tool (PsService) to start a service on a remote computer.  Either one will do the job.

  • Is it possible to create 32-bit applications on a 64-bit computer

My current Test Stations are 32-bit computers running XP. I want to upgrade my development computer to a 64-bit. If I install 32-bit Labview 2012 on the 64-bit computer applications created in the application builder will be able to run on 32-bit computers?

Number of bits LabVIEW, not the operating system, determines the number of bits of request. -Yes, you can create 32-bit applications on 64-bit with LabVIEW 32-bit system.

    Hi tom hoekstra,.

You would be able to run Photoshop CS5 on a 64-bit computer.

Only two CS5 applications are exclusively 64-bit, Premiere Pro and After Effects. The rest, including Photoshop, will take place in any environments 32 - bit or 64 - bit, including Windows XP. But CS5 users on 64-bit native should realize significantly greater gains in performance, in some cases as much as ten times the previous speed.

    Hey there djgdroid,

You should have no problems at all running the OfficeJet 8500 or any HP printer on a 64-bit computer. Just make sure you install the appropriate printer with the 64 bit driver pack. You can download this pack of driver from here:

  • my computer is capable of running 64-bit windows?

I had windows vista pre installed on my computer (not sure about 32-bit or 64-bit), I decided to clean my computer and start a new one with windows 7. I had high expectations for my computer with a quad core with 3gbs of ram (4 year old computer) processor. So thought it should be able to run windows 7 ultimate 64-bit instead of a 32-bit. I do not know what 32 or even 64-bit contributes to. in any case, looks good for a while run games online and online videos. But now my computer don't like any kind of videos or running processes at the same time. I don't know if it's a problem of card, Proccesor or graphics ram. I thought that maybe my computer is not as good than I expected and can not support a 64-bit or even an "Ultimate" Windows 7 edition. I'm looking for a professional who could give me some lights. I use this on a laptop

Data sheet: HP Pavilion dv6700 "dv6870us."

    Processor:
    AMD Turion (TM) 64 X 2 Mobile Technology TL-64

    Graphics card:
    NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
    Memory: 256 MB (Graphics) 59Hz

    Storage:
Total memory (RAM) / 3GB (improve to 4GBs)
    1.19 GB free memory
Total disk Total (289GB) without (en 124)
    External drive (931GB) free (350)
    Internet:
    Ping: 17-40ms
    Download speed: 20 Mbit/s
    Download speed: 5Mbps

The processor itself is fine, since the model number, this is a feature of 64-bit and set apart as 64-bit Windows will not install on a single 32-bit computer.

Windows 7 64 b memory minimum spec is 2 GB against 1 GB to 32B if you are by definition closer to the minimum with only 3 GB installed.

And this is one of the main benefits of the 64 b address po 32 b space gives access to a maximum of 4 GB of ram and system requirements for Windows which will limit to about 3.2 GB. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 b can access up to 192 GB of RAM so even by the upgrade to 4 GB you are seeing little benefit of the transition to 64B, true you can now use this memory but Windows itself needs more so that the real increase is minimal and may even be negative.

The laptop itself is limited to 4 GB upgrades for the upgrade were still very limited although in itself should not affect normal graphics performance. However you almost certainly charge the system more in games. Unless you have a specific reason for the upgrade, it was probably not of any value.

My operating system is 64 bit that I want to run 32-bit which program, what should I do? is it possible to run software to run on the 64-bit

Updated object with a better description.

Most 32-bit applications work fine on Windows 7 64 bit.

If you have an application that does not support Windows 7 64 bits, you can try compatibility mode:

See the developers website for compatibility with Windows 7 and if there are updates, corrections or difficulties that might ensure compatibility.

    Windows 7 Compatibility Center

This is a misleading message. The Tablet Surface RT can run regular Windows, 16-bit, 32-bit or 64-bit programs, more than an Android tablet. The Tablet Surface RT is identical to an advanced Android Tablet architechturally but running a version specially made for Windows.

Please read the specification - it is clearly stated.

I bought Win Vista Ultimate 32-Bit for my old computer, but now I have a new computer / 64-bit opportunity that I need to format. 32 - Bit WinVista works on the 64-bit computer?

Well Yes, it will be. However, whatever you have devices NEED 64-bit drivers. Otherwise, they will not work. They will not work with 32-bit drivers.

But you'll have to install on the hard disks or separate partitions.

  • I've updated Windows 8.0 Windows 8.1, since Firefox run a bit oddly. In particular, when on the sites with lots of images like Facebook, etc.

Hello, I am writing because I have a few problems with my favorite browser after update to 8.1 Windows. Here are some details. I've updated Windows 8.0 Windows 8.1, since Firefox run a bit oddly. In particular, when on sites with lots of images like Facebook. It's as if there is some sort of effect of Flikr between the office and the images, as well as between the images and the browser (a bit like old flikering of 16-bit video games). It's not too bad, but it's a question. I tried to reset firefox and restart the computer. I have not tried a repair, and I haven't done an uninstall.

Hello, disable hardware acceleration in firefox should a restart of the application is taken into account. have you tried that too?

How can I run 64-bit dxdiag?  I tried opening dxdiag & clicking on the 'Run 64-bit DxDiag' button on the bottom, but it doesn't close the window.  What I am doing wrong?

    Hello

    Method 1.
When you click on run 64-bit DxDiag it minimizes the window. But it performs the test and you can click next page to view the errors.
If the page closes directly can be a third-party application is causing the conflict. Let us check if the problem exists in the boot. See the article below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.
