  Since the upgrade to Fusion 7 (and MAC OS 10.10) I can't select an existing VMDK file to add to a newly created virtual machine: all the VMDK files (any directory they are in) are dimmed in the dialog box.

  No idea what is causing this behavior?

  Assuming the DescriptorFile hard disk exists s ("Virtual Disk.vmdk" vs binary scopes for example "Virtual Disk - s001.vmdk") with disc type twoGbMaxExtentSparse that only the hard disk DescriptorFile not will be not grayed out when you try to add an existing drive so that the only other thing that comes to mind is permissions.  Normal authorization on the hard files by default is 0600 or - rw - from a Terminal.  BTW, I have no problem adding an existing drive to a computer virtual with VMware Fusion 7.

  ·         After a synchronization of devices, have you tried to copy the tracks instead copy the playlist?

  If you are not able to transfer the playlist directly from Media Player, you should try to copy the files to your external hard drive from Windows Explorer and paste them to the USB.

  Help: I opened LR to work on some files. The hard drive where the files are stored is attached. LR has always considered all the files it's supposed to. NOW, for some reason, it only sees the files LR upwards until 2014. It does not show me the files, properly installed and already worked on several times. If I go on my external hard drive, I can see all the files after both before 2014. The files are always there hard disk, but it is no longer bound to LR. How and why this happened and how to I fix?   Have you checked in Control Panel from all photographs in the library module and subfolders?
  Are these images not appearing at all in the Lightroom library or they appear with the exclamation points?

  Work in the same catalog that you were earlier?

  Go to the file menu > open recent item > check if you are in the correct catalog.

  I can copy any type of files from my flash drive in my PC, except the mp3 files. An i/o device error when I try to copy the mp3 files on my hard drive and after this error, I can't access my flash disk root and records. and I have to unplug flash USB port and plug in again to access the directories in my flash.   Yes, I think so too. Given that the other flash drive works fine, the problem could lie in this drive. Contact the manufacturer and see what they have to say.

  You can check the version of LR on the Help menu (System Info). Check that the version corresponds to what you think you have. However, as you use the same icon as always, it is probably not this problem but it is possible that your shortcut has changed by the operating system. Your external drive disconnected by accident? If it is mounted in the same location - i.e. the same volume name (Mac) or the letter drive (windows).

  The default location are dependent on the OS.
  On Unix/Linus, it's under $ORACLE_HOME/dbs
  On Windows, it is under %ORACLE_HOME%/database

  To change the location by default, nothing inside the database, but:
  Under Unix/Linux, you must create a symbolic link to this file to the target location
  Under Windows, you need to change the variable env (regedit) ORA_PWFILE and ORA_SID_PWFILE

  So, you must check this setting for the location of real password file.

  Removing a virtual drive simply deletes the references, it does not delete the virtual disk. If you do not have a snapshot (for example), it is safe to delete. Make sure get you the right one, well - I recommend you all first move somewhere else and then try to start the virtual machine. If it is used at the moment (but maybe not if it is only used by a snapshot), merge will complain.

  Try running a HDD diagnostic of the manufacturer of the drive, then Windows is running.  Most hard disk manufacturers have utility software that can boot from the CD, DVD or USB and HDD test while Windows is not running.  This software may be able to find and fix the problems - but if the problem is severe enough, then it will do no good. But it certainly won't hurt to try.

  Open the Task Manager and find a task vmware - vmx.exe or vmware-vmx - debug.exe.

• Partition 32G BootCamp, Virtual Disk - flat hard 125G file!

  I recently installed VMWare Fusion on my laptop OS X I have created a BootCamp partition and installed XP. I created a partition of 32 GB for XP. I noticed my OS X partition to fill quite quickly. I used "from" to find the culprit and it's a 125 G file created by VMWare Fusion! Is this normal? This seems excessive. The file is located:

  / Users/tammy/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/Virtual Machines/Boot Camp of Camp/%2Fdev%2Fdisk0/Boot partition.vmwarevm/Virtual disk - flat hard

  Is it possible to get a little less of my OS X Fusion disk space use?

  Well, I had to do a little research and what I found out, is that you can not directly mount a virtual secondary drive while he lies in the Boot Camp Virtual Machine partition and I've tested this with both one unformatted and formatting virtual hard drive and got the exact error and message in the absence of additional information in the log file then here is what you can do.

  You can modify the Boot Camp partition.vmx change ide0:1.present = "FALSE" ide0:1.present = "TRUE" then boot partition Boot Camp Virtual Machine and see if the disc is visible in Windows Explorer and if it is not then it has not been formatted and contains nothing, in which case you can remove it from the virtual machine and leave within the Boot Camp partition Virtual Machine package or...

  Move the file Disk.vmdk virtual and Virtual Disk - flat hard to the desktop, press ctrl + click on the Virtual Disk.vmdk, and then select open with > VMDKMounter and see what message you get if any.  If it does rise and you get an error message appropriate then it can be deleted safely

  Understand that even if I know it's a pain in the thigh but I need something technically absolute that is within reasonable limits, before I will advise someone to delete a virtual hard disk and I hope you understand the reasoning and wisdom behind this!

  I forgot to mention that if you choose to modify the Boot Camp partition.vmx this must be done with closed merger.
