RV180 WAN/Internet very slow speed via WAP4410n (Port RV180 speed problem)?

Hello

I have a base set up on the RV180, no etc. VPN running 1.0.5.4 Firmware (latest) and use a browser of WAP WAP4410n plugged into a LAN of the RV180 port. I have a SG100D Gigabit Switch also connected to a port RV180. My WiMax ISP provides 12 MB.

When I leave speed Port on the RV180 & WAP4410n on Auto neg. They hook at 1 GB and I have ONLY 2 MB Internet speed on wireless clients with no reported ignored packets on each device, when I change the port to 100 MB on the WAP4410n Rx. speed speed is normal at 12 MB!  The RV180 also indicates the speed of the LAN port for 1 GB... it is obviously wrong!  Obviously, forced to run the LAN of WAP port to 100 MB so I can get the ISP... normal speeds is limitation all my wireless to wired LAN traffic (and vice versa).

I tried several configs RV180 ie. Simplified of bare bones, exchanged cat 5th etc. etc. WITHOUT change.  With another router, there is no problem with the port of WAP4410N at 1 GB and ISP speeds are normal. ISP speeds are also normal via the Gigabit switch to other boxes, BUT if I plug the WAP4410N in switch WAN speed is 2 MB if the WAP4410N is set to 1 GB port speed!

With the RV180 unable to define a manual port 100 MB speed (see 1.0.5.4 Firmware release notes), that strongly leads me to believe that it is a problem of data Port RV180 specific WAP WAP4410N somehow.

Their are many positions reports slow Internet with the RV180, but none of them have a solution.  Ideas, any help would be greatly appreciated that Ive lost too much time already trying to solve this router ÷ # $$ / / / &. As this is my first post I hope I posted in the appropriate forum.

Thank you... Rob.

Thank you for the update.

  • Internet very slow on Windows 7, I tried a lot of bugs with no luck

I have Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I used it without a problem for several months. But lately I had a very slow internet connection, no matter what program I use to. The same computer dual-boots with Windows XP: XP connects to Windows 7 to 0.3 Mbps and 8 Mbps.

Security software: Avast and Comodo (use every two months with no problems).

System Restore has been disabled by mistake, there is no restore points for trying.

I tried EVERYTHING to fix this! I tried:
-disabling auto tuning (this greatly improved navigation on the web, before pages would take ages to load, but the download speeds are still slow)
    -Disable IPv6
    -Disable Windows Firewall
-disable the Windows Defender real-time protection
    Re-setup of ethernet card
    -Re-installation of network card
-uninstall the Windows updates (those I was actually able to uninstall)
-boot by using the system configuration to start without starting programs or non-Microsoft services
    -reset the TCP/IP stack
    -safe mode with networking
    -disabled the DHCP broadcast flag
-change the heuristics of Windows scaling (since he says this overrided other parameters) and the provider settings control congestion

Is there anything else I can do?

  • Internet very slow on Windows 7

A few months ago, I bought a new computer with Vista and experienced terrible internet speeds.  We have dsl and the other computers in the House all the fast internet in xp, so I was sure it was a problem with vista, as described here: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistanetworking/thread/74f41557-4dd7-44f5-ba39-4b6009520aef

I was happy to install 7 because I didn't know it would solve my slow internet problems, but... it didn't.  My internet is still very slow, and the machines running xp always move at the speed of light.  This happens in IE and Firefox, and internet is always slow, even using a different wireless adapter.  Any suggestions?

    Hi RiccaDawn,

Welcome to Microsoft Windows 7 answers Forum!

    1. have you tried the steps in the thread mentioned in your message?

I recommend you try this method first.
try to browse the internet in mode safe mode with networking. If it's a software conflict, you can solve the problem. If it does not always help, you can try the solutions I listed below in this thread.

    Method 1. Reset TCP/IP:

To reset the stack TCP/IP go to this article and either click on "Fix it for me" or follow the instructions to fix it yourself: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357

Method 2. Disable the DHCP Broadcast Flag:

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Windows 7 can not get an IP address from certain routers or some non-Microsoft DHCP servers
To resolve this issue, disable the DHCP BROADCAST flag in Windows 7. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then click regedit in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
    2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}
    3. in this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the network adapter that is connected to the network.
    4. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.
    5. in the new area #1, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and press ENTER.
6 right-click DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, then click on modify.
    7. in the value data box, type 1 and then click OK.
    8. close the registry editor.
By setting this registry key to 1, Windows 7 trying to get an IP address using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets. If that fails, he will try to obtain an IP address without using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets.

    Method 3. Disable IPv6:
Try to uninstall IPv6 on all interfaces, the removal of virtual cards of IPv6 and reset the TCP/IP stack. To remove the IPv6, go to the properties for each network adapter, and deselect the check box next to the Protocol "Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6), which will turn off, or select it and click on uninstall, which withdraw power off the computer.» Then go into Device Manager and remove any 4to6 adapters, adapters miniport WUN or tunnel adapters.
NOTE: You should do this for each network connection.

    It will be useful.

  • Satellite Pro A100 carpet * dvd uj - 841 s write at very slow speed

    Hello.

The carpet * a dvd multi drive uj - 841 s that came with my satellite pro a100 written on very slow DVD. Firmware 1.50
I use good philips and kodak media (both rated 16 X).

now, I know that the drive is only rated at 8 X max. But I can't even reach 6 X.

A firmware update would solve this?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

To my knowledge, some burning applications control the burning speed to obtain the best possible results from burning
As you probably n t know the speed of combustion higher risk of burn errors
I burn my DVD only using a single 1 x speed.

Then I can be sure that all DVD players would be able to play the burned DVD.

    Original title: very slow internet

I would like to know what windows 7 64-bit options to activate and to get the best wireless connection.  Right now just getting from one page to the same or another place to place on a page can be a real pain. Thank you for your time

Proposed by Vista forum moderator as shown in the information system to the Vista computer file
Home Basic with SP2 installed upgrading.

    Mike

I apologize is not getting back to you earlier.

When you download and install games and other you don't normally need to keep what you have downloaded in the downloads folder. Some downloads are wide to remove could free up some disk space! You need to do on a regular basis to keep on top of the problem...

The content of your video in total 414 GB file. You might look at some of them again? If this is not the case, delete those that you no longer need.

You have a lot of icons on the desktop. Take a look at these and remove those that you never use.

When you did above select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, cleaning disk to emptying your trash, delete temporary Internet files and other selected options. I recommend also you click Other Options, System Restore and delete all but the last system restore point. Run Disk Defragmenter.

  • Internet very slow with Windows 7.

Here's my problem. Since I installed Windows 7 Pro x 64 my internet acted weird. There are 3 other computers on the network that is running Windows XP Pro 32-bit and a running Vista Home Premium 32 bit. Every time someone else is downloading something or watch a movie online my internet slows to void / 3Mbit normal speeds dial-up is the speed. He does only on this computer, when I download something none of the others slow down at all. It does this with 7 also, it does not do this with XP or Vista. I have searched all over the internet and have found nothing useful. Everything I've met has not worked a little. I've reinstalled 7 a few times and even tried all versions of the card ethernet driver I could find and nothing helps.

    Hello Remi R,.

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Answers forum! Try to start your Windows 7 computer to SafeMode w / Networking to see if the slow speeds still occur. There may be third-party software that is causing your problem. If you please, after back and let me know the results.

  • Very slow speeds - Workstation 8.0.2 suspend

I don't know if it something that I did, or the recent update of the workstation, but it is now still holding to suspend my (fairly large) guests. A guest of Vista is by far the most powerful, although a small enough guest of Windows 8 is also very slow.

All my guests are split into 2 GB sizes and all have recently been "shrunk"---(erreur?). All are run under a Windows 7 host.

Does anyone have advice to try to improve performance short dating back to 7 Workstation?

    > All what you have tried so far work?
    Hi Dave
I had the same problems with suspend time WS 8 and 9.
The only thing that has really worked to change my habbit use suspend rather than turned off when done with a virtual machine.

With 9 WS, I expected that suspend one of my typical virtual machines may mean that the host can (often) to do nothing other than just suspension than a VM for a time up to 30 minutes or even an hour complete (often enough to see!)
I tried everything I could think off, but nothing is really - I have never used WS so rarely that this version 9.

I run 10 now and downtime are close to what we were used with 6.5 or 7

If these problems seem to be fixed in WS 10 - at least for me.
But before you change - control because WS 10 different problems

  • Windows XP starts with a very slow speed

You have a number of files mutifragmented and your system would benefit from a few selected system restore points. cCleaner is the best tool for this.

Select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, cleaning disk to emptying your trash, delete temporary Internet files and other selected options. I recommend also you click Other Options, System Restore and delete all but the last system restore point. Run Disk Defragmenter.

Using the system restore option is most appropriate when your system is slow and you need to increase the free disk space on your C partition. If you have errors that could be solved by using the system restore to your system settings back to before the error occurred initially do not use this option.

If more than one person uses the computer and they have their own user log you need to run Disk Cleanup in each user profile that you want to delete all the unwanted files.

A better program of disk cleanup is cCleaner. Delete System Restore points may be important if you have little free disk space. The ability to delete them is one of the tools options. You can selectively remove those created in less important moments.

cCleaner comes with a registry tool. Do not use this tool as any registry cleaner could lead to the creation of very difficult to resolve system errors.
    http://www.CCleaner.com/download

You must ensure that you are defragmenting regularly. Defraggler is a freeware tool that is better than the now outdated Defragmenter supplied by Microsoft with Windows XP.
    http://www.Piriform.com/Defraggler

Download cCleaner and Piriform Defraggler, rather than the alternative. Instead, do not replace the use just of Microsoft Defragmenter Defraggler. The Microsoft Defragmenter is also a useful supplier of reports. Can you provide a supplemental report when you run cCleaner and Defraggler.

Your figure of validation of the 1037342 fees is relatively high for XP but wll below the RAM installed. McAfee can cause problems of performance on a Windows XP computer. I suggest that set you up an alternative freeware like Microsoft Security Essentials or AVG free 2012.

  • Internet VERY slow connection on SD2008 connected to ASA 5505

I recently bought a SD2008 (2008/11/28) to replace an older Linksys 10/100 switch for my home network. This switch connects to an ASA 5505 to go to the internet. I have improved since most of my pc have 10/100/1000 and the new NAS I purchased also connects to 1000 so I wanted to speed internally.

The cries of network domestic now

    BUT...

Get out to the internet has now slowed to crawl of a lily "slowski". I used to get 16-18Mbps using the 10/100 switch. Now, I'm lucky to get 1 MB/s dl speed.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Too bad. I found the answer on a completely different thread that actually worked. I've linked the SD2008 to the ASA 5505 with a crossover cable, set the port speed/duplex AUTO/AUTO, restarted the ASA, and everything was back to normal.

So much for the detection of cut MDI/MDI-X auto...

    Hope this helps someone else.

  • Front side bus and processor very slow speed on the Satellite 2800

I acquired a 2800-200, and it was running very slowly.
Sandra 2002 shows the speed of processor as well as 199 Mhz FSB as 26 Mhz. A CPU speed test confirms it. How do I (I can) fix this?

    Everything else seems normal.

Wow, this must be a very old unit it s not I known but thank you google I ve found some details ;)

It seems that the unit has been delivered with a processor Pentium III 700 MhZ and 100 Mhz FSB.

I m not 100% sure about this laptop, but the new units are delivered with the TPS (Toshiba Power Saver) that controls the speed of the CPU. If the temperature rises and the cooling modules are not longer able to cool the system the CPU speed CPU should be cut to reduce the temperature.

I think you should check these settings on your laptop and also check the cooling fans because sometimes the dust and debris to prevent the circulation of air.

    Hello

Yes you're right. Please try to uncheck the option "use graphics processor.

Normally, Lightroom automatically checks if there is a new version available. To force the audit you can go to the Help menu and then click on "Updates" (I don't know exactly how this point is named in the English version, I work with a German version).

  • Satellite P10-125: speed using very slow data transfer USB ports

Every time I connect a USB device to the laptop it says "this USB device can perform faster if you connect it to a HI-speed USB 2.0 port" while I know all four USB ports on the laptop are hi speed USB 2.0 ports. BTW, I'm using Vista premium.

I need assistance because 1 and a half hours for 5 GB of transfer is simply not enough good

I'm sure that you don't have this problem using the system of operating supported Windows XP Home edition. Am I wrong?

In any case Satellite P10 only is not supported by Vista, and you will not be able to find any driver and especially the chipset driver for this laptop. What to say. stupid situation. Drive external DRIVE is connected to two or a single USB cable?

  • New meeting place 8 Pro 3000 (2014) - WiFi VERY slow speed

Hello, I hope that someone here had the same problem and it fixed or at least knows the answer.

First of all, the new V8P3K can only connect on the 2.4 Ghz band?  There 5 GHz radio?

Second, I noticed that any device on the 5 GHz band is close to 100 MB speed, that I pay.  What that this either on the tape of the 2.4 GHz (this tablet) struggles to reach speeds of 3-4 MB down and 6 MB speed (band of 2.4 Ghz tested on other devices with the same results).

Then...  Should I get an evil router?  Tests are carried out within 20 feet of the router, direct line of sight.  I live in a Condo, so I wonder if I just have too much interference.  Is there a recommended channel?  or should I buy a new AC routers?

Should how fast I expect on this Tablet?

Thanks for any idea that you can provide.

Answered my question about the best speed of my router.

The usual advice is that channels 1, 6 or 11 are the most effective channels on routers with a 2.4 Ghz channel. It is absolutely not in a busy housing building.  Too much overlap I think.

Channels 4,5,7 and 8 were all get Mb speed 30 +, I was expecting.

I guess we don't have a radio to 5 GHz on this tablet...

  • Satellite U920T/01Y - very slow internet

I just bought a U920T Satellite. It runs at very slow speeds of the internet. Speedtest shows generally between 1 and 2 Mbps I have tried other than laptops sitting next to him, I can get a speed of 18-20mbps.

Y at - it a driver update will fix this or is it a hardware failure it will take to repair?

    Hardware failure?
    I doubt

First of all, it would be interesting to know what link are you using? LAN or WLan?

Second: the laptop was connected to the power adapter or its operation with battery?

Third: internet speed depends on connection internet, server, and all the devices that share the same line so if several laptops and other devices are connected to the same router, the data rate could be lower
