RV325: Port WAN 1 connected (inactive)

I bought a router VPN/Firewall Cisco RV325 Gigabit Dual WAN a month or two ago I try to connect to an OTN Verizon FIOS box. For those who are not familiar with Verizon FIOS, ONTARIO (Optical Network Terminal) box is used with Verizon FIOS to convert optical signals into ip packets: basically fiber in-> IPV4/V6 packets out. I had connected it to an Apple Airport Extreme for about 3 months without problem. Recently, I bought the Dual WAN Gigabit VPN/Firewall Cisco RV325 router so I could move the Apple Airport Extreme on the floor.

I plugged the ethernet cable out of the box of Verizon HAVE in the WAN1 (port 15) of the VPN/Firewall Cisco RV325 Gigabit Dual WAN router. When I click on the menu option 'System State' in the navigation on the left to the RV325, I see connected in green and (Inactive) in red for 1 WAN Port with 0.0.0.0 as the WAN IP address. I tried to disable the port WAN2, allowing the DMZ by deleting configurations VLAN without result. I also upgraded to the latest firmware, deactivation of NSD (Network Service detection) and by increasing the intervals for NSD does not.

Are there additional parameters that I need to activate/change in order to bring the WAN1 port in service on the VPN/Firewall Cisco RV325 Gigabit Dual WAN router?

Thanks in advance for your help,

-Justin

Have you did match the existing configuration of WAN (PPPoE, DHCP, IP static, whatever)?

  • CISCO RV180 - filter on Port WAN MAC

    Hello!

I have configured the VPN tunnel between the main and remote desktop by using two routers RV180. I also created some additional users so personal is not in one of above mentioned offices can use the VPN from their Windows or Linux laptops and connect to the corporate network. Everything is defined.

Miss me only now an option to connect to mobile devices like the iPhone or iPad so that they can connect and discovers the company web server internal too. Other devices with MAC addresses that are not those don't connect using their software operating system by default, so I had an idea to pass through the router port 443 to the internal web server, but somehow her filter by MAC addresses, i.e. If a person with a certain MAC address connects to WAN it gets transmitted , gets denied. Is this possible with our RV180 router?

    Slava,

It is not possible to filter by MAC address. You can filter by IP address by creating an access rule, but you must know the IP WAN address that users will connect. Are they all in the same place and it has a WAN IP address, it would work well.

  • RV016 - Dual WAN & Secure connection problem

I have settings wrong my RV016 upward to allow connections secured on our server. I have searched the forums and read a lot of posts and it seems that the protocol binding is the answer, but I can't make it work.

We have a static double-WAN with 5 IPs configuration on our slow connection (a cable modem, 1 WAN) and a dynamic IP address on our fast (FIOS, 2 WAN). I use special NAT to send all incoming traffic on a static (on WAN 1) to static IP internal IP of our server. We use intelligent load balancing and (by a message I read) I turned off the detection of Network Service on the two networks.

When I try to SSH from outside the server, I get through: I get a password and, if I get the wrong password I'm re - you are prompted for the password. But when I enter the password of the connection hangs. When I unplug WAN 2 I can connect on SSH without problem.

I tried implementing binding protocol as follows: I created a service for SSH (TCP/22 ~ 22) and added to WAN 1. I remembered to turn it on. I played with a different IP address ranges, but nothing works (it is where I am a little out of my League). Here is what I tried:

    • Internal IP of the server at all: 10.10.10.10 ~ 10.10.10.10(0.0.0.0~0.0.0.0)
    • internal subnet at all: 10.10.10.2 ~ 10.10.10.254(0.0.0.0~0.0.0.0)

In a lot of posts I read that binding protocol has solved bad people to a connection secure. What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

    Alex

Hi Alex, I think one thing that you should really consider is the DMZ to see if it localized to a problem of double-WAN or not. If the problem follows with two WAN upward in the DMZ, I agree there is something which perhaps does not properly.

Another argument may be, if you are the type of thinking somehow that load balancing is messing things up, link ALL SERVICE for the server to a specific WAN, don't let not limited just a port. That can also give an idea, especially if the server works as expected.

  • PC has seen TV opt w/no HDMI port. How connect us PC to TV HDMI ports?

I got rid of sattillite TV and now regret. Although we can watch television on PC seemingly impossible to connect PC to TV w / HDMI HDMI Cable w/no PC port. Confused: this License 1 old PC has an option 'View TV' with no option of connectivity between PC and TV.  The TV of old (7 years) has two! HDMI ports that must mean that the TV is more advanced than the HP PC?   Will be back the 15' HDMI Cable, flat ROKU box and antenna TV, relegated to watching TV while squnting to the monitor, the ear to the speakers who are not that great?  And all for the simple costs $ 2 per episode paid to amazon.com editors satallite $80 MB. is no longer an option.  any suggestions? PC is TS 420

I'm a little confused about why you need to connect the PC to the TV if you have a Roku. You must be able to use an HDMI cable to connect the Roku directly to the TV and connect Roku to the Internet via your WiFi router (or with an ethernet cable, if you have a Roku 3).

I personally don't have cable or satellite, either, I just use Netflix and Hulu Plus. My installation includes a Blu - Ray player that streams video (similar to Roku), connected to my TV with an HDMI cable. I also have a TV antenna for over-the-air channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, Fox), connected to the TV with a coaxial cable. My PC is not connected to everything; However, if I want, I can watch streaming video on my computer (using the same accounts that I use on my TV/Blu-Ray player). The only thing I can't do is to watch live TV on my PC.

I don't think there's a way to connect an external monitor to your TouchSmart. Depending on the exact model, it might come with a TV tuner that you could plug in box or antenna TNT, cable and satellite so that you can watch TV on your PC.

Y at - it something that I'm missing that requires the use of the PC as an intermediary?

I work as a system administrator, we use windows server 2008r2 in a server with 2 ibm x3100m4 cards.1st lan port uses for external access and internet with a static ip address, second port uses for internal server and access the applications only, two ports connected to different internet connections. problem is windows take the second port for internet access, so the external accessibility does not work, when I unplug the second external cable works, I put the first port in the primary network, still its taking the second line for the internet, someone can help me solve this problem, I just want the first port for second internet access to access internal not for internet connectivity.

Yes, this problem will cause a problem psychological too many users.

Some vendors of motherboard put this second NETWORK card, because it cost them 30 cents to do this, and it seems not good for marketing.

While users cannot let go of the poor port (30 cents) sitting there with nothing to do. (;_;)

  • W7 PC on the router LAN port cannot find connected wireless OJ Pro 8500 has more router suite upgrade

My broadband provider has replaced my internet router with a new one with dual N band Wireless LAN GigE ports and. The 8500 a printer has been successfully connected WPA Wireless and works very well with a laptop Windows 7 Sony connected wireless and Apple devices.  However neither the desktop PC connected windows 7 Dell LAN or even Sony laptop when it is connected to a router LAN port can find the printer.  I tried to reinstall the printer software with the latest version on the site of HP OJ8500_A910_1315 and the installation fails as auditor of network environment cannot find the printer. I ran the diagnostics of HP network with two firewalls in the PC and router disabled without success. The LAN itself seems to work OK as the PC can meet, Exchange files and and can access the internet.  The router has been checked by the technical uupport of the broadband service provider.  The printer is visible as a network connected device in Windows Explorer so you expect the HP software to see. The only option to set the printers IP address and use it in the installion process or is there other settings that I can change to get the HP network environment checker works correctly?  Thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you very much.  Unfortunately the router (a BT HomeHub4) does not have such a context, in the hub Manager, which is accessible by the user but I have now found it has the ability to set the IP address of a wireless device if I did. I reinstalled successfully on the printer to all computers.

  • mini port WAN ikev2

    Hello

I have hp Pavilion dv6 2138ca and windows 7 ultimate 64 when I try to update the ikev2 wan WAN miniport driver, it says windows can't verify the Publisher and gives me 2 options i, e don: t install and install it anyway. What should I do?
    Please answer
    Thanks in advance

Do you use a VPN to connect to the Internet?  That's what the pilot IKEv2 for: If you do not use the Agile VPN built into Windows 7, there is no need to worry about the miniport Wan WAN IKEv2.

Why you try to update the driver in the first place?

Usually, the drivers are better leave it alone unless you need a specific feature added by a new version of the driver or you have a specific problem addressed by a new version of the driver.

Where is the file that you are trying to update the driver?

In General, you can ignore the messages on unsigned drivers or inability to verify the Publisher and "install anyway" IF you got the driver file from a trusted source, such as the manufacturer of the material in question. A web site "the free driver updates" is NOT a reliable source.

If you want to update the driver because some utilities ' free driver updater "you said to do, I suggest you uninstall this utility and forget to update the driver.

  • When blackBerry Smartphones to plug the charger in BB it charges is more the phone; port does not connect

I have a Blackberry 8100 model.  When I plug the charger in the Blackberry, the loading icon does not appear on the screen and the phone is not loaded.  If I wiggle the charger port of entry in the phone cable, sometimes it will connect and charge the phone.  This has happened with my first Blackberry to the point where the connection to the port is actually right out of the device, permanently attached to the cable.  At that time, the phone was under warranty and my provider sent me a replacement phone.  Now the same thing is happening again.

The phone is no longer under warranty and my provider said I have to buy a new phone.  However, the phone and all features work correctly, I can't charge the battery because of the problem with the charger port is loose.  Any suggestions on how I can fix the connection to port or otherwise fix this?

I got my port of loading fixed to the www.cellphonefixed.com they are based in Seattle, WA and repairs by mail for cheap across the United States.
