  I upgraded to Windows 7 to 8 some time ago and noticed that my PC is sluggish. My Realtek CardReader is more compatible, but I can't update or uninstall apparently. I tried both and the problem persists. In my device manager then my memory - tech devices the Realtek PCIE card reader has a yellow exclamation mark next to it. I don't know what to do because I can't uninstall it OR update the driver.

  It is always a question of trainer. One thing you can try is to remove the formatter (located on the left side) and remove the memory chips or the black ribbon of the slot memory. Now place the trainer in a casserole in the oven with the chips upward and the jury supported so that the bottom does not touch the pan. Now, Preheat a good oven at 350F (177 C) and when the oven is ready, place the pan with the jury in the oven and keep in the oven for 8 minutes exactly. Remove the Pan and let cool for 15 minutes.   For some reason any when I turn on my computer Vista is stuck at the 'Microsoft Corporation' logo screen, with the little green loading bar and it will not move beyond this point. I must then hold down the off button to turn it off and then use the repair system (or is it restart?... one that will automatically appear anyway...) I have to use the system restore too) etc. to make it work. The problem is that this happens about half the time I turn the computer, so is a slow process that I had to endure.

  Other points to note are that it seems to be related to Antivirus programs... However occasionally I have AVG and a similar problem occurs now (although very rarely... normally, the computer hangs just at startup as shown above). I also noticed that Startups will take much longer now, and sometimes if the computer is past the screen of Microsoft Corporation, it will be just a black screen for about 20 seconds and sometimes comes up with a message referring to the registry keys (I don't remember the exact message). He eventually starts however.

  Reference Dell Vista Home Premium: had to uninstall SWP to restore the features of IE8.

  Works fine on HP Vista Home Premium.

  Solved!   Run IE8 as administrator and SWP runs without hanging up IE8.   You can do this systematically by right click on IE8 shortcut-> shortcut-> button select Advance tab-> select 'Rin as an administrator.

  Don't understand why it's necessary, but it works.

  I understand that you are having problems getting your work HP Pavilion HPE h8-1010cs desktop PC with your Gainward GeForce® GTX 970 Phantom 4 GB graphics card. I think that the reason why you're facing this problem is the breaking backward compatibility on the PCIe slots was broken to the around the label Gen 2.1 and you try to put a Gen 3.0 card in a slot of Gen 1.0. There are two cables, white and black (under the cover of the wireless card on the case) which I suppose are for the internal antenna. The question is where do these attach to on the mini-PCI card (unfortunately I have no instructions for the card mounting)?

  I don't actually see one of the Atheros cards, but on other brands, there are two connectors that are marked with the HAND and to THE.
  A white cable normally goes to the HAND and a black to the auxiliary voltage

When the Intell 900 PCIe SSD drive is installed the system hangs at the LSI Mini OROM screen remains white. is there a way to put the LSI controller to jump the PCIe slots for boot devices?

  I got my hands on a Mac Pro 2006 earlier from a friend. I used it as a BESTIAL Server (seriously, this thing is not so much as breaking a sweat even when I throw it the more difficult task.) I love this machine) since I got it, and I think I want to do the updates. My plan so far is to get multiple mounting OWC to pick up the second drive Bay currently vacant DVD and install two 120 GB Samsung 850 EVO drives in RAID 0, while using the real HARD disk bays for a RAID 10 array (nested RAID: two RAID 1 arrays brought together in a RAID 0 array) of four 2 TB red WD drives and use two 250 GB hard drives currently in the machine in an external case in a matrix RAID 1 for backup. I'm pretty happy on this issue.

  My question concerns what interface to use for external drives of 250 GB. I can use:

  • USB 2.0 currently on the machine
  • FireWire 800 currently on the machine
  • a PCIe USB 3.0 card
  • a PCIe card with eSATA

  That we will get the faster speeds? I know that, theoretically, eSATA would get faster speeds (6 Gbps eSATA vs 5 Gbit/s USB 3.0 vs 800 Mbps, Firewire 800 vs 480 Mbps USB 2.0), however I know also (maybe?) that the Mac Pro I have only has grooves in v PCIe 1.1, with a (supposed) 250 MB/s maximum data transfer rate. would this bottleneck a PCIe USB 3.0 or eSATA card not worth?

  Note: don't worry all "Mac compatibility" with PCIe cards (or the table RAID scheme I mentioned). I am running Ubuntu Server (64 bit) on the machine, and given that the Linux kernel supports much more conductive than Mac OS X, I probably don't need to look at all the other drivers. This issue is specific to the hardware capabilities of the Mac Pro.

  Probably the most simple installation, you can do is to install the eSATA extender cable adapter.

  THX starbucks for the post, but I must correct you:

  As the wireless card in the mini-pci card slot is the only one, there is NO onboard wireless card. So it can't be anything to be disabled except the pci socket.
  And regarding the problem: perhaps the card is not compatible with this machine. I suggest to buy a card based on the atheros chipset because they are known to work VERY well (in fact they work) in almost all brands without bigger problems and they do in computers laptop toshiba.

  If the card was not recognized then another card must be installed-> atheros and not INTEL chipset
