  For example, when trying to download LastPass extension via the link on the LastPass website, the link on the Safari extension store simply links to the page that I was right (site LastPass) who took me in the extension Safari store.   I am Lions to understand if there is a way to allow an online installation for Safari extensions by a button of the CTA.

  For example, on Chrome, can I have a CTA button on my Web site that when clicked, will open a pop-up window of the SCF and give the user the option "Cancel" or "add extension". By clicking on add the extension installs the extension immediately.

  Whereas if a user clicks on the CTA even Safari, they download a file .safariextz. They must then go to downloads, open the file, and then click on "Trust."

  Is it possible to do the Safari experience more automatic, similar to the experience of Chrome?

  I think you must be in the Apple Developer program (https://developer.apple.com/safari/) and get your extension presented in Apple Safari Extensions web site (https://safari-extensions.apple.com/). I just install an extension directly from there without download. I don't know the details. Safari support has never been very good at the developer program and now it seems to be even less important.

• How to install Safari Extensions?

  Is it just me, or we are no longer able to install extensions in the Safari extensions Gallery? When I go there, there still archived extensions, but there is no button anywhere. I don't know if I am missing something or what. I installed extensions in the past (a year or two ago), but don't know if it's a thing of El Capitan or what. I have to go to the respective developer site to download & install now? Answers would be appreciated.

  I have an end 2013 15 inch rMBP El Capitan 10.11.2 running Version. It happened for about a year and now that I have some time to the school I want to dive in and try to fix it. Its driving me crazy!

  I have an interesting problem that is really stumping me. I only have a three Safari extensions: RES (continuation of development of reddit), AdBlock, Waste No Time.

  These are all parameters very sensitive especially Waste No Time extension. Whenever I have to restart or Quit Safari reset the settings of the extension. Extensions are still there, but the parameters are all back to the default. It's frustrating, as you can imagine. I must go to my block list for waste No Time, add my sites to whitelist to add block, etc...

  As regards to troubleshooting goes, I tried removing the iCloud Keychain in the keychain support enforcement. It really helps for a while. I restarted the computer and settings remained the same. However, today, I rebooted the computer and BOOM all settings disappeared again. I tried to reinstall the extensions, and that doesn't change. Someone has ideas of how to do to solve this problem?

  If you synchronize Safari via iCloud, try System Preferences/iCloud and turn off sync. Any change?

  Safari 9 has a very annoying bug, what makes me crazy. After some time and many open tabs, extensions on the left side of the search box will disappear. EverNote Web Clipper is usually the first to go, but sooner or later each extension loses the functionality. Visual extension box remains, but the symbol disappears and the extension loses the functionality. The only thing that helps is to restart Safari. In Safari 8, it was possible to stop and restart just extensions, which was convenient for the bug. But since Safari 9 is not possible more and I have to restart Safari every two hours.   Extensions to disable and re-enable extensions.

  Safari > Preferences > advanced

  Tick the box "Show develop menu in menu bar."

  Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.

  Click on develop and select "Disable the Extensions" in the menu dropdown.

  A check mark next to 'Disable Extensions'.

  Develop a click in the menu bar to dismiss the drop-down list

  Click on develop again, then click on "Disable the Extensions" to remove the check mark.

  It is not a question that can be resolved, but I wonder why the HP ePrint app on my iOS device is not configured to be an extension of action of Safari? I think that this would significantly improve the application so that employers do not need to search for a site once again on the app when they want to print something. Instead, people could just rely on the extension of the action and open the Web on the HP application. Just an idea to consider for the next update!

  I have Safari 9.02.  I use 1Password which involves the installation of an extension.  Many worked for several months, but just recently, I noticed that was missing from the extension.  Downloaded the latest and installed.  The result is a box under the Preferences toolbar extensions section in this reading "Extensions can be activated in the menu to develop" [instead of the list of extensions installed!].  Weird never seen this menu before, don't know how extensions got "disabled" but hey, I'm the tab of the menu develop visible and I see several points that can be verified, but "Disable the Extensions" is the only one that is.  Problem is that I can not uncheck.  others that I can, but it's stuck.

  Everything to work fine when we left for the holidays, but suddenly...  Any ideas?

  I bought my Mac because I fell for the mantra "Apples a few work" which turned out to be hogwash...

  Try to delete the file:

  ~/Library/preferences/com. Apple.Safari.plist

  .. .and restart Safari.

  I wanted to install a couple of extensions for Safari on my Mac, but when I use the Extensions Gallery through Safari menu, there is no button 'install' or link.  I tried rebooting my computer, Safari & checked for the latest updates, but always without success.  I saw a few other people with this problem and it was hit or miss on the solutions.  I can't find the extensions on the web site of developers, they generally defend their app instead of an extension.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!
