Sampling point frequent

I have a 6008, accessible by DAQmx.

I produce a custom feedback loop. As the analogue output has a sampling rate of 150 Hz, this is the maximum rate of the feedback loop.

I'm trying to figure out how to make my analog readings.

I have excluded finite samples (if I let up, I pass the same values and more; if I reset, it's far too slow)

With continuous samples, if I take a unique data point, I'm not synchronized - I don't want to read the end of the buffer, I want the most recent.

So I try sample N read, with-1 as the number of samples to be taken, that help said is the way to capture the whole buffer.

I get an error-200279, who says I'm trying to read data that no longer exist because it crashed. But that seems like it should be a nonsense - I just say, give me what you got. Why bother crush if you are never just refuse to put her out in any more data and call a mistake, because you started to crush? It is frustrating especially since I really don't care for the newest item (or recent average for all purposes)

There are a lot of topics around this error (-200279).

Have a look here and try to understand exactly why you get this error. You too can share your code so that you can have a careful review and understand what causes the error, specifically in your code.

    Thank you!

The points show the individual samples in your digital recording.

Jump to your last question, you cannot place the time between samples picker because samples are smaller individual representations of the original audio.  the lines between the samples are an artificial creation, making a waveform of samples.   There is an excellent video showing how digital audio works - I recommend highly a cup of coffee and a viewing: D/A and A/D | Digital Show and Tell (Monty Montgomery @ xiph.org) - YouTube

Spacing of samples is determined by the sample selected speed which, in turn, is controlled by the clock system (Word clock).

As for the editing... not really.  Older versions of hearing used to allow you to enter a sample and move it upwards or downwards, but the results could be unpredictable - under Nyquist theory there is only one waveform (i.e. one correct) which corresponds to the sequence of individual samples.   Changing a single sample (or even two or three) can force the system that analyzes samples and draws the analog waveform by doing a few calculations confusing, incorrect.   If you watch the video above and "read between the lines" you can see why that would be.

  • Single sampling Point Acq

Hello, a little info on my system and I to start. I'm under LabVIEW 8.6 and using the NI USB-6259 box as my DAQ hardware. I'm new in the world of only having been LabVIEW use this configuration for 3 weeks (but a nice step to the top of the Win95 system I was using).

I'm trying to order and circuit operating at 8 kHz. I want to read in a voltage of the circuit, detect a break in its derivative and then send the output voltage back into the circuit based on its signs at these crossings. To safely control circuit, I need to taste well above 8 kHz.

The issue I'm having is speed limits due to a loop based around a DAQ Assistant of "1 sample (on request). I read a lot of messages saying to use timed HW sampling but I do not think that my DAQ hardware supports it. I used clocks to get a rough idea that my loop runs roughly 25 Hz.

I don't know if the problem is in inefficient coding or limitations of my hardware and software. Attached, you will see my current VI.

You're right, you use the acquisition of timmed softwared, you want to run in continuous mode, The 6259 should be able to acquire up to 1.25 MECH. / s.  Try to put it in place with the daq assistant since you're new to labview, or look at examples of analog acquisition.  essentially, you want to read in a loop using buffered continious CQI, then send the results to your vi loop or slave to the processor.   I would like samples at 5 - 10 times the 8 kHz to get a good representation of the signal you.  faster that the x 10 will give you nothing but too much data to deal with.  8 kHz is not too much data and you might be able to treat it in the same line as your read daq.

  • than 25 ns sets sampling rate...

    Hello

I'm trying to test the sampling rate of chassis cRIO 9103...

I created a simple FPGA project, for sampling sign this clock frequency of the FPGA equal to 40 Mhz (on by default). I applied 1 Mhz square wave to pin MISO DIO6/SPI, place one of the slots on the frame... I put a tick 'loop timer' in ' ' loop for every moment of picking (totally 32 sampling point).

input signals a cycle = 1000 ns (1 MHz) and I m planning see samples every 25 ns (40 MHz) on the graphical waveform. But the chart shows me only 10 points for 1 cycle like taking samples of every 100 ns instead of 25ns. (FrontSamplingRateObservation.png)

What is to be? If so, how can I get faster sampling rate...

I joined .vi photos of the project...

You can consider that the only timed cycle lines and the pipeline of the operation.

    Hello labmaster,.

I took a peek at your code, and a question, is that you use the done VI DAQmxBase is task rather than the fact VI DAQmx is operational. You cannot combine the DAQmx and DAQmx Base API and this could be the cause of your error. When you use this VI in DAQmx application the task performed? output will always return the value true. This return value is prevents your loop and resulting in your cleaning tasks before all your data is generated.

I don't know how windows take to put inside of the frequent. With waiting for that appears automatically, is there a way we can pin an item that does not appear in the jump list frequent list?

The answer depends on what type of element you want to pin.  The only type of element you mentioned being a folder, you can easily do what you're wondering now and does not need to wait for a later version.

In the 8 Windows desktop, when you drag an executable file (or shortcut) on the taskbar, a message appears that says "PIN to the taskbar.

If you drag a document file (or a shortcut), the message will say "pine [associated application]"-in other words, "[name of the default browser] pine" for a html, "Pin to Notepad" file to a txt file, etc..

For a folder, File Explorer is the associated application.  Therefore, if you open a file Explorer window, look for the desired folder and drag it to the taskbar, the message that appears is "PIN to the file Explorer."  Just click on it, and it will appear in the jumplist FE, above the frequent places, in a separate section called "Pinned".  You can drag things and down from there to order at your leisure.

(The Control Panel, even if it is displayed in FE as 'File system', only let you pin on the desktop, for not not FE jumplist.)  There may be other special cases like this; I don't know, but it works usually as I've described, including for other system folders.)

Just to be clear, I am a new user of Windows 8, far from being an expert.  I only know how it works because I heard today by trial and error.  So there may be more to what I can't help with.

  • Color of these points with curves CS4

Hi, I use CS4 and I want to do a color correction, I use the color sampler to select areas that I want to change it is to say highlights approximately 242, but I want to place a sampling point for the midtones on the RGB layers at the same time, for this, I understand that, if I hover over a sampling point and hold Ctrl + Shift , then click on what it has points of adjustment on all channels, but when I hover over my selector sample color changes from point sample to the move tool so I guess I must have hit a button somewhere but don't know where! Any help please.

  • Color Sampler script part 2

Ok. So I'm back at it. Here's what I have a problem to find now any help would be appreciated of course.

When I use the colorSamplers script I am able to get information on a single point. However, when you set the sampling points there is the possibility to select the single point, 3 by 3 average, 5 by 5 average 11 of 11, etc., and the average number is shown in the Info Panel. But, the script always returns the information of single point and not the average. Is it possible to obtain this information using another script that through every point with the colorSamplers [0] .move () and make the calculation in the script in order to get the average? This is how I do it now, but for large surfaces, it can become slow.

    Any advice?

No, I don't mind at all. You can replace your scriptlistner turn off with the method DOM comes to make the code a little tighter.

  • Problem of Variables HP first Solver

I am trying to solve the following equation in the application of the Solver:

I previously created the following variables: 'To', 'γ' ("T" and "M" are already built into the calculator from the factory)

If I input values to the 't', "γ" and "M" and try to solve for 'To', I get the following message:

"Constant? The value of the equation is the same for all sampled points. »

I noticed that if I replace 'For' for a different variable, say 'P', the Solver to get the right answer.

  • Triggering off the coast of beginning of Pulse Audio in question DAQmx...

    Hi guys,.

First of all, it is more a matter of software than hardware, so I didn't post this specific question in the multifunction DAQ card...

So I'll try to trigger an acquisition finished off the start of a pulse audio, however I have audio sync issues, due to the fact that it can be started before my VI runs. As noted below, the audio is generated and pulsed for 500ms on and 500 ms off the coast, and between these periods, a digital pulse is generated this way (shown in red). I have a problem to stay synchronized, due to the fact that I samples finished for 1 second of a data value, and if the USE EEG is faster than me, I can catch the pulse audio at Midway, rather than at the beginning.

I'm trigger analog outboard of a sound signal of 50mV and capturing two audio channels simultaneously and consistently captures 3 digital channels when they receive the trigger of the beginning of analog input trigger reference digital edge. If digital are slaves and audio is the master in this configuration. The point of this is to get a delta timed material at the time rather than use the timestamps of windows.

As I said, I use an Analog Edge Trigger Start to start my purchase, what triggers the digital task Digital Edge Start Trigger to start as well. How can I make sure that I start at the BEGINNING of a new pulse audio if I get out of sync, I can't understand this logic... Analog edge goes off just when it goes to the specified level, but maybe it's at half way through the 500ms pulse, so this is my problem...

I need to be a trigger to start because I do 55 000 this test iterations in a QMH Prod/consumer model and need relaxation to be redeclenchables and start-up is only redeclenchables.

The variability in timing you see at points 2 and 4 somewhat dictate against the possibility to set up a re-triggering precisely timed by the hardware configuration.  I think that you need to abandon the idea of making repeated sampling finished back to back and switch volleys in a mode of continuous acquisition and treatment.

To help with this, I aim to capture the moments of digital via meter rather than DIO pulses and be ready to give up the acquisition rate noise much (if necessary) given that you said that your main concern is to distinguish between ON and OFF.

I must configure the counter to use the Digital pulse as a sample clock and use the sample clock signal HAVE the "time base", i.e. the signal which the edges will be counted and buffered in memory.  This will give you 2 samples per second instead of 5 M and the values of the counter at these sampling points is the index in your AI data which occurred impulses.  Pretty neat and clean.  Just be sure to start the task of counter in front of the task to HAVE it.

  • Incorrect writing to the file timestamps

    Hi all

I wanted to familiarize yourself with writing data and associated timestamps in a file to verify the rate at which samples are played back in my system. As a little test I wrote a simple VI that travels 5 times and creates 5 sine sampling points. Each point has its timestamp captured and converted to seconds and fractions of a second. After the for finishes in loop iteration it writes the data of sample (line by line) for every 5 samples with their associated timestamps.

I imposed a 1ms delay for each iteration and hoped to see the consistency between the timestamps of the consecutive samples but sometimes they are very or even identical to the previous timestamp which doesn't make any sense for me. I tried with wait times and it seems to be more precise between samples, but this result is intriguing.

    Example:

    31.209159 0

    31.209159 84

    31.209159 91

    31.224784 14

    31.224784 -76

I chose not to use custom file VI writing because I had the same problems and thought that it could have better results.

Hoping someone can clarify it or show me where I'm wrong. I have attached the VI below.

    Thank you.

If you are using a hardware device timed, as NO hardware DAQ, you then get accurate timestamps. Everything else is a limitation of the Windows operating system. You can always switch to LabVIEW RT if you need more specific expectations.
