Sansa Clip + playback only 32 gb to 64 gb MicroSD

I apologize if this has already been posted, but I'm desperate for a solution at this stage.

I recently bought a Sansa Clip + 4 GB and a 64 GB MicroSD card. According to the instruction on many forums, I used FAT32 format on the map. However, the info panel Sansa Clip + bed that the card provides only 32 GB. Am I missing something?

Thank you.

My entire library of music (45 GB) fits on the map, but much of the music is not displayed on the device.

So why, if you have correctly transferred 45 GB of music to the card, what you say it is only reading 32 GB? Looks like it works for me. More likely is the fact that the Clip + (and all Sansa players also) have a limitation of the database, which you have probably exceeded. This is why it is not see or view some files.

If I remember correctly the limit of the database on the more the model is around 5000 titles, according to the length of the titles, images embedded in the ID3 tag, and other criteria. If this is the case and you have exceeded the design of the original firmware, the only option for you (in order to use the full capacity of the card) is to install and use Rockbox (3rd party) firmware.

You didn't say what format the songs were in, or how fast they were. If you load format FLAC or WAV (as opposed to the format mp3 for example), then I could see where your memory may be full.

  • Sansa Clip + got wet, only volume buttons do not work, the volume on a PC?

Hi my Sansa Clip + has been for some time on the rain and I guess that wet - volume keys do not work, all other functions OK

TI now on "too lo wvolume" I solved it before that.

    1. is it possible to adjust my volume (now its too low after reset) on a PC connected via USB? Kind of hack volume...

    2. it should not happen, but I try send a guarantee? Maybe the wet sensors are OK cause it was just a rain...

Any other probability/cost to fix in any fix Center "e"?

    Thank you!

First of all, NEVER try to turn on or turn on an electronic device while it is still wet!

You will very probably short something internally that will kill him forever!

    1 n °

    2. the warranty is for MFG. any defect of manufacture or material only! It does not include misuse of customer, as leaving in the rain, take it into the shower with you, a fall in the toilet, he swims, wear or leave it in your pocket and then do your laundry.

    2. SanDisk has not not any Center electronic "fix."

The only thing you can do is to place the device in a bag of uncooked rice dry several days absorb moisture inside.  Since you've already played with wet it is doubtful that this will help, but it won't hurt to try.

  • Clicking or stutter during playback of the audio file on Sansa Clip

I'm having a problem similar to that described in the following thread:

    http://forums.SanDisk.com/Sansa/board/message?board.ID=sansafuse&message.ID=2785&query.ID=219379#M2785

Only I have the problem on a 4 GB Sansa Clip.

The audio file is a DRM WMA to NetLibrary, 165MB, 32 Kbps and 11:48:01 in length.

I am currently at 05:21 mark in the file and the stuttering arrived at a point where it is difficult to listen to the file.

I had filled the files of devices (especially the music, a few podcasts) and then deleted, filled again, etc., so there may be some fragmentation that is either the problem.

I'm reformatting of the clip using the internal format of the device function and allows you to copy only the audio book on the device at the beginning to see if the problem goes away (this * should * minimise, if not eliminate the fragmentation).  Then I resync the rest of the music files to the player using Windows Media Player, and then see if the problem comes back.

    I'll post my results here.

Reformat the device worked very well.  The audio file sounds fine and the file is read immediately when you rewind or fast forward through the file (before it should pause a few seconds once you wanted to before play).

  • My NEW Sansa Clip 8 GB jump audio during playback

    Hi all!

Yesterday, I bought a new Sansa Clip 8 GB with FM Radio and today I try. Well, some fat is a problem: my Sansa skips audio while playing songs, as happens when a scratched audio cd is reproduced (do understand you?).

Initially, happened after one minute of play (on all the songs) but now it happens early on and listening is impossible.

I don't understand what the problem is. The Sansa is NEW.

    Firmware version is 02.01.32A

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you.

    Giulio.

Problem solved, after upgrading the firmware to the latest version, although the problem was not the firmware.

The problem is on a fault line desing of the Sansa. The male jack to the headphones should NOT be inserted completely into the socket because otherwise, either you hear anything like that or you ear the Sansa jump audio. It's amazing. The engineers who designed, which should be fired instantly.

  • Sansa Clip + Player ignores the titles with sound of frying after the last firmware update

    Hello

My Sansa Clip + tracks audio playback stopped (same mp3 files it used to always play) after I updated to firmware 1.02.18A.

The player jumps just all tracks with sound of frying one after the other.  No longer play.

    What's wrong??

Is it possible to fix it?

Is it possible to revert to the original firmware version 1.02.15 that worked well?

    Well,.

I don't know what the problem actually was, but certainly it's associated BONE.
I'm at home in my Windows 7 and everything works perfectly now.

The problem I experienced was at work, where I have Windows XP SP3 OS.

On Windows 7 home, I copy the MP3 files in MSC mode and don't play them no problem at all.

Driver to work on Windows XP may be defective or unsuitable for copy files correctly on the drive using the MSC mode.

I do not know. At least, everything works fine now.

P.S. The funniest is that tech support lady told me that my drive is ruined and it is absolutely impossible to fix.

She also said that it is impossible to install the previous version of firmware absolutelly and that it not there no previous version of the firmware available more she also said that the only way to "solve" the problem is for me to buy a new player

    Everything just great!

    Every1 thanks for your help.

  • zip clip allowing only music, no radio/settings/map

    Hello

somewhat an unusual question I have, in the hope of getting resolved before sending this back mp3. So I got my sansa clip zip not too long, maybe 4-6 weeks. It worked without problem, really liked the radio option, which is held just enough music, etc., but very recently, he started acting. Let me point out its major problems:

-at startup, I am automatically taken to the previously played music screen (a title, artist and the progression of the track with album artwork or only background media). There is no option to select 'music' or 'radio '.

-the back"" button. the button that takes you to the previous screen, works as a button from the previous song (even more strange, if the music is stuck on pause, then I click on 'back' (try, of course, to get on the radio of the screen, or at least let me pick the song!) then it will find a new song and automatically start playing it.)

I'm stuck in this hell of the music that I can't control ~! Can anyone help? I know it's a very weird problem, not one alone that I found others know after browsing this site... I know that there is HOPE, because once I "format" "ed the drive when it was plugged in to the computer, and after that (removal of all my music), he took me to the home screen where I had access to radio, settings, etc. (and the back button actually took me to the previous screen: 0 ~!)" but after not too long (maybe half a day with the help of twice) when I pressed the power it took me directly on the screen during playback, without opportunity to get out.

any advice you all have would be wonderful! I really enjoy of this mp3 player outside this huge mess and don't want no return/exchange/get a new one, but on average, I need FM stations and I must be able to choose at least what I listen to the song. I hope someone here can help you! a thousand thanks!

Let's see if we can cure disorders of this little guy.  I see that you have formatted the device already.

The best thing to do is the first soft reset the unit in holding the power button for about 30 seconds, then release.  Connect the Zip file on the USB port.

Download and uncompress or unzip the firmware file from here.  Follow the instructions for installation of caraa , in the thread.

There is a difference here: don't worry about the part of USB mode, you can install the firmware in MSC or MTP mode.  If you are connected to the PSG. you will see no. letter attributed to the reader device, double-click the device, and then select the internal memory.

In both cases, drag and drop the clipza.bin file into the root directory of the device, and then disconnect.  The firmware will install automatically on logout.  I feel that the original firmware is damaged on your Zip.

Let us know how it goes, or post any questions you may have.  I'll be back in a little bit...

  • Questions on Sansa Clip + units purchased in different stores: there are slight differences?

    Hello all-

My spouse and I bought a SanDisk Sansa Clip + 4 GB in different stores the same day.  We intend to keep only one and the packaging is slightly different, so after a brief purchase background, I have some questions as to the differences between the two in order to solicit advice as to who to keep and which you want.

    CONTEXT OF PURCHASE:

Two units have been sold at the same price, both have the same UPC and the return of the policies/guarantees for two stores seem to be identical.  The color of each is the same (black) and the exercise of copyright for packing at the rear is 2010 for both, that is: (c) 2010 SanDisk Corpation.  We have not broken the seal on each box and do not want to facilitate the return of one.

    What is different?

I bought my unit to H.H.Gregg here in the United States, and the number above the same UPC's:

    SDMX18R-004GK-C57

    And here's the UPC number:

    80-56-09564 - 004 G

My spouse bought at best buy and the number above the UPC:

    SDMX18R-004GK-A57B

    And here is the UPC:

    80 56-09570 - 004 G

In addition, those bought at H.H.Gregg indicates 'Software Rhapsody', and the Rhapsody logo under 'quick start guide' in the column of "Content" on the left side of the box while one bought at best buy Rhapsody No mention outside of the box.  And with the exception of a white banner with "Sansa Clip + 4 GB" on the face at the bottom of the box purchased at best buy, the type of packaging, graphics and colors look identical.  Both made in China.

    MY QUESTIONS:

1 - does anyone know of any slight difference between the two?

    2. that contains software Rhapsody and the other and if so is the inclusion of this software an additional benefit?  (Never used Rhapsody, but my understanding is that it is similar to iTunes?)  All opinions on this topic is welcome, although I've never used iTunes and maybe not a similar service.  The software takes more space and it is difficult to remove if I don't want to?)

    3. I suspect the above number ending by "-A57B" (i.e. with a ' B' versus without him) indicates Sansa units shipped to the and sold through Best Buy, where the 'B '.  Is this correct?

    4. However, the numbers which could describe the difference between two low, the middle parts which are "- 09570 -" and "- 09564-"? "»  Is the '- 09570 -"a model a little later?  (Again, the "-09570-" is that of HHGregg, without any indication of Rhapsody.)

    5. who would keep you, or is it just a case of flip a coin?

Sorry for nit-picky issues, but I recall reading some interest in the version material different numbers with the other units of Sansa and the benefits of one over the other and I was wondering if there might be a hardware update version at play here as well.

    Thanks for your time! :-)

    =================================================

    Changed to correct typo:

The first issue of the unit to buy at best buy should have a 'B' added at the end, as I was writing it under 'MY QUESTIONS'.  It is:

    SDMX18R-004GK-A57B

    =================================================

    Edit #2 to fix typo:

    "column" vs "colum".

Interesting, thank you for researching it! I tried before that my post came but dry.

Until then the objective eye differences?  I would be particularly interested in distinctions of subjective performance between the tuner chips, if any, that the radio will receive a daily use.  Also welcome all favor referring to other physical differences such as brightness/contrast screen.

Still, I guess there is no way to distinguish between the two by the package box numbers and that a practical diagnosis is necessary?

Thanks to all the other replies, in particular the ideas of Rhapsody.

(Incidentally, I'm curious to know if there are differences in sound quality - dynamic, range, volume, all - between the Clip + and Sansa alays such as the "rocket" or same-track playback on each indistinguishable?)

    Thank you!

    JVR

JVR, I don't think that there should be no difference in performance between them. Most likely the changes have occurred due to a different provider offering a better price on a part of SanDisk. My two readers Clip + the two appear identical in every way. And insofar as comparing them to the "rocket", I have two rockets as well, and they seem to everyone to play and hear the same way, at least using the Sansa firmware.

  • Sansa Clip barely working

My Sansa Clip works more yesterday, I don't think it was even after connecting it to my PC. The problems:

    • When I try to play music, it starts in mode 'break '. Won't even play when I 'force' in playback mode
    • slow start and stop times
    • I can connect to my PC, but the only display of file is DevIcon.fil (182 612 bytes)

Can't use it and I have no ideas left. It is completely charged, about 40% used space, the firmware version is 02.01.32F.

On your Clip, try the settings-> Format.  Note that any music currently thereon is erased.

  • Transfer from Windows Media Player to Zip Sansa Clip

In the end, I am creating playlists on my Sansa Clip Zip. So I think THAT I have to create a playlist in Windows Media Player and then sync my Sansa Clip Zip. For some reason any I am only able to see 5 playlists, but I know that I have created several of them. In fact, if I try to create a new play list using a name I know, I created, it is said that there are already. How can I see ALL my playlists?

Also, if I click on playlists for the Sansa Clip Zip it shows I have 9 playlists, but I can't see what they contain!

    Hi Nymickey,

I suggest you to contact the Sansa Clip Zip support for better support associated with Sansa Clip Zip and check if it helps.

  • Sansa Clip + question

Hello, I am really considering buying the Sansa Clip + for the race, and I just want to know one thing.

When in Shuffle mode and you accidentally skip a song, are you able to return to the song you just jump by pressing the back button?

I only ask this because my Archos can not, she keeps just still dragging on the back button.

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards, Daniel.

    Yes.

  • Sansa clip + does not see the audio books I have loaded

I got my Sansa Clip MP3 player + for two years and it works very well, so far.  I only use it for audio books.  Recently, I reformatted the player and loaded new books in.  When I went to read, the audio books folder was empty.  I have connected the player to the computer again, and the books were in the audio books folder, where I had loaded.

I've updated the firmware to the V01.02.16A Version, and there was no change.  I tried to reset by pressing the start button. No change.

Memory has 3750 MB with 3135 free, indicating that there are books in memory, but the player does not see the.  What is going on?

That's all!  I checked the format of audio files.  It is the AAFC, with suffix .m4a.

    The Sansa manual says:

"The Sansa® MP3 Player will support MP3, WAV, WMA, secure WMA, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis and audiobook formats.  I guess that AAC is not one of the formats that they support.  So I have to convert .m4a to .mp3.  I guess there are a lot of tools to do it.  Any suggestions about which one is the best?

Thanks a lot for this revelation.

The device is not recognized by Windows Media Player synchronization purposes: I can't synchronize playlists of music more.

You try to reset by pressing the power button / stop 20 seconds does not help.

  • Need HELP! My Sansa Clip + is no longer recognized by my PC!

In fact, when I connect my Sansa Clip + to my PC via USB, it will recognize in 'My Computer' for a fraction of a second & then it will disappear! The disc for my Sansa will be apear for 2-5 seconds & then bam, gone.

Sometimes the Sansa Clip + will reappear again at my drive after leaving connected, but even once, it will appear only for a fraction of a second & disapear as he was immediately disconnected.

After that my Sansa Clip + is going to just play the music as it was not yet connected to my PC with the USB cable. I don't think it's the same in charge when connected.

I have an another spare Sansa Clip + & when I connect it to my PC with the USB cable even & the same USB port, it is perfectly recognised! No problem with that!

My Sansa Clip dies or the USB connector on the end let go & not able to login properly?
What I have to buy a new, or is it repairable?

Have you tried to exchange the cables? Sounds like the cable you use (which connects intermittently or fresh) may have a loose wire or PIN.
