Sansa Clip & Rhapsody to go questions

Uggh. I use my clip for my long runs and it's embarrassing!

All of a sudden I can't my playlists from Rhapsody to go to load completely on my clips (I have two, a 1 GB and 2 GB). My other 2 GB seems to work very well.

He transferred about 20 songs and then just stuck transfer. I have had no error message. I tried simple patches (authorize fashion, of and re DPW) but to no avail. It worked well until I deleted all the songs (except the 2 GB only) and tried to reload playlists.

Help! I need to run!

Well, I don't have the chance to do this b/c I was trying to play rhapsody and it wouldn't let me connect so I called for repair and they just asked for help with my video as a side note and what you know (at least one of my clips) seems to work (transfer of my playlists). Not sure what we were doing, but I checked my version of Windows media player (I have vista btw), checked my version of rhapsody then while on Rhapsody, I pressed ctrl + shift and click on tools and select backup and reset data directory of the application, I myself fall rhapsody, registered on and it's once again for fun (I was confused) and low and here's a player works. I finish my playlists loading then try the other clip and see what happens. I don't know what I did or why I did it or what it all means.

  • Sansa e200r Rhapsody (BestBuy) - holiday - question bitensión?

We had a unit e200r for several years now, and we charge it sometimes by plugging the USB cable into a wall adapter instead of using the computer to load.

We'll be on holiday in Europe this summer, and I can find no answer to my question anywhere on the web.

The wall (a/c) USB adapter is capable bitensión (I will have a record of adaptation for the correct configuration PIN for the countries we visit, but for this USB adapter, I shouldn't a CONVERTER).

We don't NOT forming a laptop on this trip... While we had hoped to use the same USB wall adapter to charge the e200r.

-It's the e200r bitensión in itself considered as?  Would we still be able to JUST plug it into the USB adapter we use at home in the USA?  or would that fry the unit?  I think the adapter USB converts AC power to the USB port, and would happen again. The USB adapter manages the power from the wall at the exit of the power properly to the USB port?

Sorry if I look stupid, but it's all new to me.

    Thank you

The e200 takes 5v from a USB, nothing else. If you're the charger works in one country, it will then provide 5v to the player.

  • Questions on Sansa Clip + units purchased in different stores: there are slight differences?

    Hello all-

My spouse and I bought a SanDisk Sansa Clip + 4 GB in different stores the same day.  We intend to keep only one and the packaging is slightly different, so after a brief purchase background, I have some questions as to the differences between the two in order to solicit advice as to who to keep and which you want.

    CONTEXT OF PURCHASE:

Two units have been sold at the same price, both have the same UPC and the return of the policies/guarantees for two stores seem to be identical.  The color of each is the same (black) and the exercise of copyright for packing at the rear is 2010 for both, that is: (c) 2010 SanDisk Corpation.  We have not broken the seal on each box and do not want to facilitate the return of one.

    What is different?

I bought my unit to H.H.Gregg here in the United States, and the number above the same UPC's:

    SDMX18R-004GK-C57

    And here's the UPC number:

    80-56-09564 - 004 G

My spouse bought at best buy and the number above the UPC:

    SDMX18R-004GK-A57B

    And here is the UPC:

    80 56-09570 - 004 G

In addition, those bought at H.H.Gregg indicates 'Software Rhapsody', and the Rhapsody logo under 'quick start guide' in the column of "Content" on the left side of the box while one bought at best buy Rhapsody No mention outside of the box.  And with the exception of a white banner with "Sansa Clip + 4 GB" on the face at the bottom of the box purchased at best buy, the type of packaging, graphics and colors look identical.  Both made in China.

    MY QUESTIONS:

1 - does anyone know of any slight difference between the two?

    2. that contains software Rhapsody and the other and if so is the inclusion of this software an additional benefit?  (Never used Rhapsody, but my understanding is that it is similar to iTunes?)  All opinions on this topic is welcome, although I've never used iTunes and maybe not a similar service.  The software takes more space and it is difficult to remove if I don't want to?)

    3. I suspect the above number ending by "-A57B" (i.e. with a ' B' versus without him) indicates Sansa units shipped to the and sold through Best Buy, where the 'B '.  Is this correct?

    4. However, the numbers which could describe the difference between two low, the middle parts which are "- 09570 -" and "- 09564-"? "»  Is the '- 09570 -"a model a little later?  (Again, the "-09570-" is that of HHGregg, without any indication of Rhapsody.)

    5. who would keep you, or is it just a case of flip a coin?

Sorry for nit-picky issues, but I recall reading some interest in the version material different numbers with the other units of Sansa and the benefits of one over the other and I was wondering if there might be a hardware update version at play here as well.

    Thanks for your time! :-)

    =================================================

    Changed to correct typo:

The first issue of the unit to buy at best buy should have a 'B' added at the end, as I was writing it under 'MY QUESTIONS'.  It is:

    SDMX18R-004GK-A57B

    =================================================

    Edit #2 to fix typo:

    "column" vs "colum".

Interesting, thank you for researching it! I tried before that my post came but dry.

Until then the objective eye differences?  I would be particularly interested in distinctions of subjective performance between the tuner chips, if any, that the radio will receive a daily use.  Also welcome all favor referring to other physical differences such as brightness/contrast screen.

Still, I guess there is no way to distinguish between the two by the package box numbers and that a practical diagnosis is necessary?

Thanks to all the other replies, in particular the ideas of Rhapsody.

(Incidentally, I'm curious to know if there are differences in sound quality - dynamic, range, volume, all - between the Clip + and Sansa alays such as the "rocket" or same-track playback on each indistinguishable?)

    Thank you!

    JVR

JVR, I don't think that there should be no difference in performance between them. Most likely the changes have occurred due to a different provider offering a better price on a part of SanDisk. My two readers Clip + the two appear identical in every way. And insofar as comparing them to the "rocket", I have two rockets as well, and they seem to everyone to play and hear the same way, at least using the Sansa firmware.

  • Problems of sound quality with my Sansa Clip and Rhapsody subscription titles

I'm at my wits end here. This last Christmas, I bought a black 4 GB Sansa Clip for me. About two weeks after I bought it, I got a low-memory error to create a database. I've reformatted the drive, transferred songs and everything worked fine... for a week. Then I got the same error message that he died completely. As in it would not turn on at all, even connected to my PC.

I brought instead buy one leave and received a replacement. Now it will not play long pieces of subscription Rhapsody without a slight distortion starting about 13-14 minutes in and continuing to the end of the track.

I did not have this problem with the first Clip.

I don't have this problem with securities that I torn and transferred.

I don't have this problem with my c250.

I have this problem with my 4 GB Clip son cash. However in addition to the simple to burst I get with my Clip, the music also sounds distorted, with large legs on her.

I already have the routine of songs and dances for Rhapsody. I have also updated the firmware of these two Clips Sansa to v02.01.32a, tried to transfer using two different USB cables and several USB ports on my computer. The only thing I have not done is reformat the thing. After having to transfer 600 + tracks 3 times in two months, I am rather hesitant in doing so.

Anyone, please, help me solve this problem?

Ah, we'll add some gloss of your clusters.

The your Clip file allocation table a wee 4 KB clusters.  Since you have a 4 GB device, this FAT is big enough.

Decoding of the Rhapsody tracks requires some supercomputers, being secure to 160 Kbps wma files.  The Clip is responsible for finding the next block of data, but it must focus on this huge FAT.

    The solution is simple!

Turn on your trusty Clip.  Go to settings > Format > Yes.  This reformatted the device with 32 KB clusters, optimized for the Sansa.

Please note that this will delete all existing music to your Sansa, and you will need to reload.

On the other side of the coin, you will hear now own sounding music!

If you format from Windows, it has the bad habit of formatting with teeny 4 KB clusters - and stuttering that results will make you crazy.  If you format Windows, ALWAYS follow-up with a format on the device via the parameters.

  • Sansa Clip + question

Hello, I am really considering buying the Sansa Clip + for the race, and I just want to know one thing.

When in Shuffle mode and you accidentally skip a song, are you able to return to the song you just jump by pressing the back button?

I only ask this because my Archos can not, she keeps just still dragging on the back button.

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards, Daniel.

    Yes.

  • Can not record songs on a Sansa Clip +.

I recently bought the Sansa Clip + and it has firmware version V01.01.05F and the song rate feature doesn't seem to work. I choose 1-5 stars and select the choice, but the note is not saved. Another poster asked a similar question and its solution involved affecting USB MTP mode, but this has not worked for me. Any suggestions?

    Thank you

OK I thought about it, the new firmware fixed this problem for me.

  • Sansa Clip Zip battery does not charge, goes directly to the screen of the song

It's my third Sansa MP3 players.  The first was a Sansa Fuze with the round button.  Like that one but my husband needed more that I did it I gave it to him.  He is old, but the player is still so today.

The second was a Sansa Fuze + with the touchpad.  The touchpad has been way too sensitive but I need to play only two songs for sleep therapy while I was fine with it until the battery suddenly stopped charging a few months ago, I posted my problems in the Sansa Fuze + forum.  After trying a few suggestions, I finally accepted that he was a Goner.

I bought this Sansa Clip Zip 4 G, thinking that should last at least for a while because I use every day.  In fact, I needed only when I had disorders of sleep during the night;  I probably used it once every two weeks or more.  I used my cell phone to the device, had no problems until now.

The last time that I loaded it was 2 weeks, to 98% full - the thing never indicated 100% while it was a little weird.  In any case, I had problems sleeping two nights ago so I took out the Clip Zip and noticed that the battery still had plenty of juice left.  This morning I checked the battery, he had 68%, but I thought I needed could again tonight so better it load up, just in case where.

I connected it to my computer, but it did not show "connected" screen  Instead, he went straight to the last song I listened to.  I thought it was weird so I turned off the player then tried again.  Of course, he went directly to the screen of the song.  I noticed that the battery icon was showing 'filler '.  I thought that if I left it connected to the pc long enough IT would eventually deducted.  Two hours later, I checked the computer and it says that the drive battery was dangerously low.  I disconnected and then reconnected and this time he said 98% charged.  I loaded a bit more just in case so I used the player for about 15 minutes and the player turns off.  Plugged into the pc and now it says battery is extremely low, while the last hours do not charge the battery, but it drains pretty!

My last attempt was to plug into a wall charger and guess what?  He went directly to the screen of the song once again.  Contrary to connect to the computer, I could actually turn off the player but this way does not charge the battery, or.   It's exactly the same problem as my second player, the Sansa Fuze +.

I bought the last two players from Sansa, simply because I really liked the first which of course had been abandoned a long time ago.  I don't know if I have bad luck or it is just an issue joint Sansa players but one way or the other I don't buy any Sansa more in the future.  He is a big name that comes with the big disappointment!

You can also try a reset by pressing and hold the power button for 20-30 seconds. Release it and then turn it on normally and see how it behaves.

By your description of the message "dangerously low" you get then plug it into your computer, which tells me that you use MTP mode on the player (or default automatic default, MTP). MTP mode can be pretty weird; better to use MSC mode unless you have need to PSG for "protected" content or DRM files such as Rhapsody or audio in your library or Audible books. The small "crirically" message is a bug in Windows 7 (using MTP mode) that Microsoft did not consider important enough to fix.

  • Sansa Clip + problems, correct the records but unknown marking and scrambled the tracks. Help!

    Hi guys,.

There can someone please offer some advice for me and my husband before we became completely crazy?

We bought for our daughter the Sansa Clip +, but we are having the same problem occur over and over again.

During his music and audio books have first been loaded above all was fine. Added items displayed in the files and the right places but, now, for some reason when we add anything, the record of the album can be seen, but it also creates an additional folder that displayed as "Unknown". When you go and try to play inside this folder it does not work... "We always ensure that there is proper use of marking we MP" tag, so I know that the questions are not because of it.

We have tried everything we can think of. Tried to update but I think we already have the latest version installed in any case - V01.02.18P, performed a factory reset, put in shape and I have tried using different modes, but it makes no sense. Why everything fine was a couple of days and not now...

We use a 16 GB Kingston SDHC Card inside the Clip +.

Please any ideas would be welcome because it becomes a nightmare.

    Thanks Claire x

I should add that I am starting to think that I can have bought a card SD of FAKE writing is rubbing on the front of the card... IS this likely and if so could cause of the issues I am currently experiencing? XX

  • Purchase of Sansa Clip and memory card

I'm about to buy a Sansa Clip. I was planning on getting a 2 GB mp3 and the purchase of a 16 GB memory card.
My question is, will they work together? A 16 GB card will work in a 2 GB drive? And the memory card should be SanDisk or can it be any business?

Your help and your answers would be greatly appreciated!

The Clip doesn't have a slot for card, only the Clip + and Clip Zip. Any size to maximum 32 GB will work. Any brand should work, but there has been reports of some brands does not not with the Zip model. That was supposed to be addressed in an update of the firmware, but to play in the trunk, I'd buy a SanDisk brand.

And you can consider getting a larger capacity of 2 GB player. The extra cost is not much, and this extra room will be useful. Music libraries tend to develop, especially now that you have a cool gadget little listening to load them on.

  • SanDisk Sansa Clip + 4 GB MP3 player with FM Radio

    Hello-

My new sansa clip + out of the box and I'm not able to do Radio FM works.  Battery is charged.  All I get on screen is a set of headphones and the 'music '.  I do not expect to play music because I have not yet loaded, but I expect to be able to get FM radio but can't seem to get there.  Any suggestions on how I have to happen?  Thank you.

Please note that I do not see a menu of items to select from the MP3 player.  I do not see a "lock" or "unlock".

My computer recognizes the drive as a new piece of hardware.

The reader does not recognize the software on the CD when I put the CD in the computer.

The player does not allow me to make the software what I t hink is the "root directory" for the player.  I guess tha the directory "root" is the "Sansa Clip + 4 GB" or the "internal memory".  It allows me to copy in one of these.   Appears as:

    + The Sansa Clip + 4 GB

    -Internal memory

    + Albums

    + Audio books

    + Music

    + Playlists

    + Podcasts

    + Records

    + Service

My D drive that reads the CD has these files it contains:

Autorun.inf and sansa - install .exe and one other file that reads:

fscommand with these files it contains: dloadrhap.exe, dloadrhap.txt, proxy.bat, proxy.exe

If I do not have need of these, please let me know.  I don't want to stuff more then I need to run the player.

I'm assuming that I need only the files autorun.inf and the sansa - install .exe.

I do not understand what is Rhapsody or why I need.

    Thank you.

    Bonnie

Now, don't laugh at this suggestion, but: when you get the player, there is a transparent plastic sticker that was placed on the screen of the player, which has a screen simulation showing the items that describe you see on your screen - have - you, you take off the sticker? (It generally is a small tab on the right side of the tile to help with that.) Once you do this, the player I hope will begin to operate as expected. On the CD, you don't need at all! The CD is required to use the separate music Rhapsody and optional subscription service (for which you pay every month, after a free trial, usually). If you do not want the service, go to the CD. Finally, you should check and see if your drive is the latest firmware - look under settings to the player and to compare this version number firmware recent listed in the upgrade thread Firmnware sticky at the top of this forum. If the thread here has a more recent version of firrmware, recommended that you upgrade to it-, it is very easy to do. I hope this helps!

  • Sansa Clip color issue

This may seem like a strange question... but does the Sansa Clip 2 GB pink light/baby?

I see online is the hot pink.

I found one for sale, used, but in the image, it's a very light shade of pink. I asked if it was the actual color and not with a blanket, and they said that it is the color of the device.

I don't want to be caught, but also do not want to pass on a good deal.

There are 2 shades of pink, and one is a very light shadow, as you describe.

  • Sansa clip 2 GB trying to load but quit unexpectedly

My Sansa Clip 2 GB begins to demand, but stops after about 20 seconds.  It remains always connected the rest empty battery icon.  For this reason, I can't keep the unit to perform all operations.  Help is appreciated.

The problem was solved by Sandisk.  Their solution is shown below:

If the player does not load, there may be more than one reason.

First of all, your Sansa Mp3 player should be charged when connected to a computer that meets the system requirements:

    -Windows XP or Vista
-Windows Media player 10 version 11 or

Initial charge time is 3 to 4 hours. The State of the battery will be completely shaded when completely charged.

Second, if your reader part or all memory is damaged, the player again to read the memory over and over again, so it drains the battery more quickly, to format your Sansa Mp3 player.

Note: Set FORM WILL ERASE all DATA ON YOUR DEVICE. MAKE A BACKUP OF ALL YOUR FILES ON YOUR COMPUTER.

1 turn off the player. You may need to slide up and hold the switch to completely turn off the player.
2 Activate button (orange must be visible) and press on and hold the Center button while connecting the player to the computer. Don't let go no these key until you see connected status on the player.
    3. single right click workstation in your office. Choose 'Manage' in the menu. In simple window computer management - click on disk management in the left pane. Search for "Removable disk" icon with a drive letter in the right pane and right-click and select "Format".
4 make sure these fields in the Format dialog box:

    System files = FAT32
    Quick format cannot be verified

    5. click on start. Confirm on the notification.

    6. test the device to transfer music to the player.

Finally, this is due to the firmware corruption or failure. We need to upgrade the firmware of your player manually to delete this type of corruption.

    Sansa Clip Firmware download Update:

    1. turn off Mp3 player
2 turn the unit on hold (move, hold down the button until it shows orange)
    3. press and hold the Center button
    4. connect the mini connector on the device (don't forget that the USB is connected to the computer)
    5. download and extract the .zip file to a folder on your desktop:

Click here for the Sansa Clip Mp3 Player Firmware update file

    6. Once extracted, drag the file or copy the *. BIN file in the directory root of your Sansa Clip.
7 disconnect the Sansa Clip and let it restart.
    8. the update of the firmware will now begin.
9 once he finished finally make his update, it will start back upward. After his return to the main menu, go to 'Settings' > 'System Info' and check the 'Version' is now 01.01.30A.
