Sansa e200r Rhapsody (BestBuy) - holiday - question bitensión?

We had a unit e200r for several years now, and we charge it sometimes by plugging the USB cable into a wall adapter instead of using the computer to load.

We'll be on holiday in Europe this summer, and I can find no answer to my question anywhere on the web.

The wall (a/c) USB adapter is capable bitensión (I will have a record of adaptation for the correct configuration PIN for the countries we visit, but for this USB adapter, I shouldn't a CONVERTER).

We don't NOT forming a laptop on this trip... While we had hoped to use the same USB wall adapter to charge the e200r.

-It's the e200r bitensión in itself considered as?  Would we still be able to JUST plug it into the USB adapter we use at home in the USA?  or would that fry the unit?  I think the adapter USB converts AC power to the USB port, and would happen again. The USB adapter manages the power from the wall at the exit of the power properly to the USB port?

Sorry if I look stupid, but it's all new to me.

Thank you

The e200 takes 5v from a USB, nothing else. If you're the charger works in one country, it will then provide 5v to the player.

Uggh. I use my clip for my long runs and it's embarrassing!

All of a sudden I can't my playlists from Rhapsody to go to load completely on my clips (I have two, a 1 GB and 2 GB). My other 2 GB seems to work very well.

He transferred about 20 songs and then just stuck transfer. I have had no error message. I tried simple patches (authorize fashion, of and re DPW) but to no avail. It worked well until I deleted all the songs (except the 2 GB only) and tried to reload playlists.

    Help! I need to run!

Well, I don't have the chance to do this b/c I was trying to play rhapsody and it wouldn't let me connect so I called for repair and they just asked for help with my video as a side note and what you know (at least one of my clips) seems to work (transfer of my playlists). Not sure what we were doing, but I checked my version of Windows media player (I have vista btw), checked my version of rhapsody then while on Rhapsody, I pressed ctrl + shift and click on tools and select backup and reset data directory of the application, I myself fall rhapsody, registered on and it's once again for fun (I was confused) and low and here's a player works. I finish my playlists loading then try the other clip and see what happens. I don't know what I did or why I did it or what it all means.

  • Sansa Fuze Rockbox. Version question.

Hey guys and girls, I need help desiphering if it is possible to install Rockbox on my Sansa Fuze special. My version is listed in my info like: V01.02.28a

It's an old Sansa, but I've updated fairly regularly. Countless FAQ told me that the Sansa fuze V2 is incompatible with Rockbox. and if I would try to apply it on the wrong version, I want to brick my machine. But as says the version, version 01.Intro, so I ask someone here who has more experience with this sort of thing to help me.

    Thank you.

  • Sansa fuze will not update track licenses

I must have the most ghetto sansa fuze there because I had so many problems with mine. I currently have two. I have the new firmware from sandisk sansa updater program.

    First of all:

When I connect my sansa fuze to my PC to update track licenses, add songs, etc. that my computer slows down considerably and all internet access is stopped. I can't sign my account on rhapsody because the internet will not work. And since internet does not work when it is connected, I could not update my licenses and now they are all expired. Help, please!

    Second:

I took the same sansa fuse to another computer. When I plugged on the second computer, I had no problem. However, when I try to update the licenses, the Rhapsody program says that the function is finished. But when I try to listen to music in the "rocket", the "rocket" tells me that track licenses are obsolete. I've updated the entire library and internal and external disks, appears in the pane. I hope this makes some sense. Any help is appreciated.

It's the limitation of the Janus DRM.  You must update the licenses of track on the same PC as they were transferred from.

This isn't a fault with Rhapsody, it's part of the way in which DRM system has been designed.  Format RealAudio RAX of Rhapsody has circumvented this restriction by using the Rhapsody from Sansa e200R.

Regarding the license updates in the last 24 hours, the real servers had issues.  The system is back today!  Yep, I met the same question, a handful of devices update last night.

  • The Sansa Fuze is similar to the Sansa e280R?

    This is a broad question.

There are two versions of the e200 series.

The e200 and then the e200R or Rhapsody.

Remember how the e200R series had an interface more clean, which will do the same for the "rocket"?

Haven't bought a rocket, I want to buy something.

Is another question, with Rhapsody To Go, or what I need to add it myself?  Also, if I add Rhapsody to the "rocket", it will give the "rocket" this cleaner interface?

When I say interface more, the version of Rhapsody had smoother transitions between menus and the text was smoother and much more readable.

    Thanks in advance!

The Rhapsody from Sansa (e200R) has some nice features, like the 'balloon' police while rolling through the menus.  The device later, the e200v2, was also the improvement of the police.

The aircraft later, the e200v2, became the Sansa Fuze shortly after.

The latest Sansas, including the e200v2, the "rocket", the music video and the new Clip + are compatible, all the RhapPFS, which means that the Rhapsody feature improvements are incorporated into these devices.  Rhapsody channels appear in the main menu once the device is allowed to use the Rhapsody service.

You also have several options, like adding channels has Rhapsody music track to the library of your device and a procurement function which signals an individual track for purchase later, when the Sansa is signed up to the service.

The Sansa Rhapsody used format RAX of RealNetworks, a unique DRM (license based on the device) system, while the new devices use 160 kbps WMA for tracks.

  • Windows 7 and 8 gig Clip

I've upgraded to Windows 7 a few weeks ago. Well, today when I plug my 8gig clip itinstalled a new driver and then is no longer works with Rhapsody to go. I check for a reason, and he said: I am running Windows 6.1, and it does not support Sansa Clip. My 4 GB works fine. Any thoughts? I have been using Sansa and Rhapsody together since January with no problems. Now Rhapsody do not recognize. I tried to remove the clip and then it reauthorize but he won't so now it's just a clip of unauthorized concert, not supported poor baby 8! Any thoughts?

I searched for firmware updates and found nothing.

I fixed it! I just looked on the 4 GB and 8 GB to see if something was different, and I saw the concert, 4 was in mode "auto detect" then the 8 gig was in MSC. I switched the 8 GB to "automatic detection" and everything works again! bI must have accidentally powered or something. Praise the Lord, I did not buy another Sansa... yet!

  • E280 and Fuze

    Hello!

I have Sansa E280. Now, because it doesn't matter what i most have to return it to SANDISK. Now they have told me they have no E280 left and they should send me a Sansa Fuze. Now my Question. What is the difference between these players is better and that I should ask compensation?

    (Sorry for my bad English)

The "rocket" is better than the E280, especially the E280 V1. He has the best sound quality as the E280 V1 and longer battery life that either version of the E280. However, the battery on the "rocket" is not replaceable. The wheel is better on the "rocket".

  • Questions on Sansa Clip + units purchased in different stores: there are slight differences?

    Hello all-

My spouse and I bought a SanDisk Sansa Clip + 4 GB in different stores the same day.  We intend to keep only one and the packaging is slightly different, so after a brief purchase background, I have some questions as to the differences between the two in order to solicit advice as to who to keep and which you want.

    CONTEXT OF PURCHASE:

Two units have been sold at the same price, both have the same UPC and the return of the policies/guarantees for two stores seem to be identical.  The color of each is the same (black) and the exercise of copyright for packing at the rear is 2010 for both, that is: (c) 2010 SanDisk Corpation.  We have not broken the seal on each box and do not want to facilitate the return of one.

    What is different?

I bought my unit to H.H.Gregg here in the United States, and the number above the same UPC's:

    SDMX18R-004GK-C57

    And here's the UPC number:

    80-56-09564 - 004 G

My spouse bought at best buy and the number above the UPC:

    SDMX18R-004GK-A57B

    And here is the UPC:

    80 56-09570 - 004 G

In addition, those bought at H.H.Gregg indicates 'Software Rhapsody', and the Rhapsody logo under 'quick start guide' in the column of "Content" on the left side of the box while one bought at best buy Rhapsody No mention outside of the box.  And with the exception of a white banner with "Sansa Clip + 4 GB" on the face at the bottom of the box purchased at best buy, the type of packaging, graphics and colors look identical.  Both made in China.

    MY QUESTIONS:

1 - does anyone know of any slight difference between the two?

    2. that contains software Rhapsody and the other and if so is the inclusion of this software an additional benefit?  (Never used Rhapsody, but my understanding is that it is similar to iTunes?)  All opinions on this topic is welcome, although I've never used iTunes and maybe not a similar service.  The software takes more space and it is difficult to remove if I don't want to?)

    3. I suspect the above number ending by "-A57B" (i.e. with a ' B' versus without him) indicates Sansa units shipped to the and sold through Best Buy, where the 'B '.  Is this correct?

    4. However, the numbers which could describe the difference between two low, the middle parts which are "- 09570 -" and "- 09564-"? "»  Is the '- 09570 -"a model a little later?  (Again, the "-09570-" is that of HHGregg, without any indication of Rhapsody.)

    5. who would keep you, or is it just a case of flip a coin?

Sorry for nit-picky issues, but I recall reading some interest in the version material different numbers with the other units of Sansa and the benefits of one over the other and I was wondering if there might be a hardware update version at play here as well.

    Thanks for your time! :-)

    =================================================

    Changed to correct typo:

The first issue of the unit to buy at best buy should have a 'B' added at the end, as I was writing it under 'MY QUESTIONS'.  It is:

    SDMX18R-004GK-A57B

    =================================================

    Edit #2 to fix typo:

    "column" vs "colum".

Interesting, thank you for researching it! I tried before that my post came but dry.

Until then the objective eye differences?  I would be particularly interested in distinctions of subjective performance between the tuner chips, if any, that the radio will receive a daily use.  Also welcome all favor referring to other physical differences such as brightness/contrast screen.

Still, I guess there is no way to distinguish between the two by the package box numbers and that a practical diagnosis is necessary?

Thanks to all the other replies, in particular the ideas of Rhapsody.

(Incidentally, I'm curious to know if there are differences in sound quality - dynamic, range, volume, all - between the Clip + and Sansa alays such as the "rocket" or same-track playback on each indistinguishable?)

    Thank you!

    JVR

JVR, I don't think that there should be no difference in performance between them. Most likely the changes have occurred due to a different provider offering a better price on a part of SanDisk. My two readers Clip + the two appear identical in every way. And insofar as comparing them to the "rocket", I have two rockets as well, and they seem to everyone to play and hear the same way, at least using the Sansa firmware.

  • A few Questions about the videos on my Sansa Fuze

    Hey all,.

I'm pretty new with my sansa fuze (I only had for about a week), and I have 2 questions about 'videos' on the "rocket"...

Any help in answering these questions would be greatly appreciated!

    So:

First of all, on my sansa fuze, I see 2 folders under the section "VIDÉO", "Audio_TS" and "Video_TS". What are these folders and files ranging in what folder?

Second, I tried to load this video (about 20 min. length) through the Sansa Media Converter on my sansa fuze. Now, when I try to convert my video to a Vob (a kind of file extension), the appropriate file type file (which I suppose is all .mp4), I get a message saying: "It cannot convert, because your Sansa player is not connected" (even though I know I plugged). Is there a way I can get the Sansa converter program around and just use a different software to modify the mjy .mp4 file, or what I need to use the Sansa Media Converter to do?

    Again, any help is appreciated...

    Thank you

OK two records don't matter to you. SMC (or any other program) place the files in there, so you don't need to worry. VOB files are not compatible with SMC, so when you rip the DVD, you must use a program like Any-Video-Converter to create an AVI file or a mpge (my recommendations). Rhapsody will also add videos to the "rocket" as well.

  • Sansa Fuze is not compatible with Rhapsody/Windows 8.1?

Finally, I replaced my old laptop XP with a new with WIn 8.1.  My two (2nd gen.)  Rocket (no +) devices load OK, appear in Rhapsody as being authorized and allow the transfer of securities with subscription. But once disconnected the two devices think the tracks of the expired subscription.  Rhapsody has this message under Tools > device compatibility report:

Device for Sansa Fuze 8 GB compatibility report:
This PC reports that it performs "Microsoft Windows Version 6.2'."
Transfers of securities of subscription to the devices is not supported by your version of Windows

Titles that have been imported from CDs play fine. Someone here can shed light on what is happening?  Is is time to reformat devices?  Much thanks is advanced.

Well, well, well. For all those who might find this thread with a similar problem in the future, I think that I just solved it my problem with the help of the Rhapsody site troubleshooting tips.  It is reset course the Sansa device clock, regardless of it's:

    Asked synchronize the device

-Reset the clock secure your device
    1. go to the Rhapsody software
    2. connect your MP3 player to your computer
    3. hold the CTRL & SHIFT key on your keyboard and right click the player icon

  • Sansa Clip + Question of burden (with mini USB cell phone charger)

I have a few questions about the issue of workload:

    • is it acceptable to fresh clip + use the charger of mobile phone with mini USB socket (5v ~ 700mA), as I know, USB 2.0 specification is 5v ~ 500mA?
    • Sansa is equipped with a circuit to handle the charging process, for example the the blackout when the battery is fully charged?
    • After that several hours connected to the computer, the turn display self... is this normal? (so I have to press a button to see the screen saver and check the State of charge)

Thanks for the answer of my question... hehhe

You can use any charger, but be sure that it is 5V and not higher than (above will FRY your Clip).  Around 350 my and especially (even if some 500 my and above is best) is very well - the Clip will use the amperage he needs.

Yep, you can disable the data pins and everything should be ok.  Just be sure you know what you're doing on the pins.  Many people say to be able to arrive at the same end simply by inserting the USB cable into the computer, not completely or by covering the data pins.  In addition, you can buy USB charge cables only - I have a couple of people.

Note that when you connect to your computer, you can still read the Clip files, via the computer itself (not the music) and media playing software that is pointed and play the songs on the Clip.

  • Question contact Sansa?

Sansa always takes awhile to respone to your mail electronics/question? I was wondering.

It may take some time. Depends on how busy they are. The best & fastest is to communicate with them by phone. Email usually gets put on a back burner, but it's hard to ignore a ringing phone.

  • New and strange problem with Rhapsody to go on my Sansa Fuze

Have a Fuze with 8GB micro SD 8 GB card inside and use for a long time without any problem with Rhapsody. Recently, I had not synchronized for a long time and got the message to play the tracks of my subscription, I need to sync with Rhapsody. So I don't tell me, no problem, and I do. The synchronization works very well and I get the message Rhapsody, it's reading the tracks on my Sansa and I get the message that it updates the internal memory on my Sansa. Then everything is finished and when I click on the internal or external memory, Rhapsody, I get the message that all is well and she sees all my Sansa great Flickr photos. I even put a couple of new albums of Rhapsody on the SD card in my Sansa. Once again, no problem.

BUT when I disconnect the Sansa (again once, normal behavior with the green bar on the Sansa screen and the message it refreshes my media), he always says I have to synchronize to play the tracks on my subscription.

Have tried resetting the sansa, tried the sansa when logged in to rhapsody, but nothing seems to solve this problem of license. How can I fix?   Thanks a lot for your help

Ah, I leave you with the secret handshake to reset the secure clock.  Normally, this is done in this last step, when you transfer a track to the device.

Open the client Rhapsody 4 and plug your rocket.

Now for the tricky part.  Crack the knuckles and fingers ready.  Press and hold the [CTRL] + [SHIFT], then right-click on the "rocket" in the Sources pane.

There you go.  Select Reset secure clock.

See if the device is now happy.

If all else fails, use the Format command on the "rocket", which will erase all media device, and then start over by allowing first and transfer some test tracks.

My theory is that something is wrong with your secure clock...  Let me know how it goes!

  • Sansa C250 v2 (01.01.05P). microSDHC? update to the latest firmware? Linux questions.

    People of greetings,

just got my refurbished Sansa C250 2 GB. Back to v2. Parameters a 01.01.05P for the version number.

I read somewhere on these forums that even if v2's back, it does not mean necessarily that the player is actually v2. Is this true? How can I tell what version it is?

So should I upgrade to the latest firmware and which?

I plan to buy either a 4 or 8 GB card microSDHC. Advice please.

Anyone who has used linux to update firmware and for all other operations or would I have to use windows?

    Thank you

    Prasad

Well, since nobody answered my questions, I will answer them myself.

As has been said on this forum and others (http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24680), this is the version of the firmware that you use to know the version of your player. Mine is v1. I think another, or should I say a sure way would try to penetrate into the first partition (or the partition to install the firmware) - If your drive is v1, it would be to put your player mode waiting (moved to the rec and orange shows on the left button) press and hold the rec button and plug it into a computer should appear the partition of 16 MB. V2 has a different key sequence.

Since it is highly recommended to upgrade to the latest firmware, I upgraded to 01.01.00P which, by version number appears a downgrade, but it is what is here to... He did bring back the USB menu however.

Since then, I could install Rockbox (http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=c200&thread.id=3396), I'll go ahead and buy a 8 GB microSDHC card. Will post here when I get it to let you know if it worked or not. I think that should be. This post helped me decide to go ahead and buy it: http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35302.

I used two Fedora-7 and live CD Fedora-9 (on USB) - no problem.

just something I did - I took a return of my entire 2 GB (after formatting the partition of 2 GB to get rid pictures and music that came on the player). used dd if = / dev/sdc. gzip - c > sansaC250. Also saved the first (16 MB) partition dd if = / dev/sdc1. gzip - c > sansaC250part1. I just thought I might be able to use it if I bricked my drive when rockboxing it. I don't know if restore partitions (or the entire disk) is unbrick it at all. Happy had to use it.

    Take advantage of...

When I turned on the unit it would not go to the Welcome screen. He was frozen at the ' Sansa: Rhapsody' screen.

We have already updated the firmware using the mood of recovery, but it did not help.

    Any suggestions?

Turn off the Sansa and drag it to the lock hold switch. Press and hold the REC Center (on the left side of the Sansa) while plugging it into the PC and it should now be recognized as 16 MB - FORMAT. If you open a window of the Explorer windows (desktop) the Sansa will appear as this new icon.

Simply create a folder within the 16 MB drive format of this new window, clicking and selecting new folder and rename the Sansa.fmt folder. Note that this will do a format on the device that erase all the files...

Caveat!  Are NOT USE of THE FORMAT COMMAND ON THIS PARTITION WINDOWS (WIndows command).  Use the 'trick of the folder' only.  The presence of a folder named sansa.fmt tells the Sansa to format automatically once you log out.

This operation clears all media since the Sansa, and you will need to recharge the device.  It will give you a 'clean slate' and the unit will operate normally.

    Hope it works.
