Sat SA60-672: Issue of Hub USB with SP2

Someone out there problems experienced to make a 4 port USB hub to run several devices. I get a message "unknown device". I have a Satellite SA60-672 running Windows XP home, srevice pack 2. I disabled the box in device without result of energy conservation Manager. The name on the hub is Safecom and is USB 2.0 & plays no driver.

Hello

As far as I know if the device needs more power then 500 my if the OS cannot recognize this device correctly. In this case, you must also use the external power supply.
I also found this Microsoft document on this subject:

  • It's 2016, but find a hub USB 3 seems difficult.

It's 2016, but find a hub USB 3 seems difficult.

Guess I'm of an age where I need grandchildren to send a few years so that they can longer hold the technology of their grandfolks...

Have spent time not a little online shopping for a usb hub powered to an iMac that reviewers find reliable and - this is the problem that I don't have the knowledge to understand - will support an auxiliary hard drive without cutting into the speed of the drive. I am a bit taken aback that people report problems of reliability and compatibility here in 2016, and even less accurate recreation the USB socket at the back of the iMac via a hub powered and wired to a few inches apart.

    Recommend a product?

    Very grateful.

I have a powered hub Plugable (bought on Amazon). It's USB2 but I remember it being a USB3 version with reasonable comments.

I think that people are more likely to write a comment if they have a problem so exams can be negatively biased a little.  I read the reviews, but I also analyze them.  A bit of any product may encounter problems for one thing, I'm looking for, that's how the company manages these products.

Another thing to keep in mind is how the hub is intended to be used. If someone posts a bad review because they tried to load 8 iPads to a hub powered at the same time, well I think you'll be lucky to find a hub that can do.  Hubs can have many ports, but the power supply is usually limited and not designed to provide full amperage to all ports at the same time.

  • Hub USB no longer works on IMAC

This has happened twice now. I bought a powered USB hub gear and it worked for a few weeks then stopped working. I bought a different model, a new, and he also worked for a few weeks and then stopped. I tried to reset the SMC, and I think I have done correctly, but that no longer works. I tried to plug the buh on another computer and it worked fine- but not on the Mac. What is happening here. Any suggestions?

The first thing to try is to do a reset SMC 2 - 3 times back to back with all the perihpherals disconnected. If this does not work then it may be one of the devices connected to the hub. You should try to see if it's a device by trial and error.

If all else fails I would swap your gear for one of the hubs USB Belkins. I've never had a problem with one of my friends.

  • Windows 7 and bios sees not the hard drive, but when I connect the hard drive to the USB with an adapter, I see directories and files

    Please, I need pc

Original title: windows 7 and bios does not see the hard drive. but when I connect the hard drive to the USB with an adapter, I see directories and files... Ive a hp Pavilion, what to do?

Check the BIOS for hard drive setting.

Make sure that you do not connect the drive to a SATA/RAID port.

Old IDE drives - check the jumper on the drive (use "Cable Select" as a starting point), the BIOS must also be set in legacy/compatibility/IDE mode. Note: If you currently use the AHCI mode, then switch to IDE mode may cause Windows to boot.

  • HP laptop laptop 15-ay019tu: shortcuts keyboard and HUB USB 3.0 driver is missing, I can not find anywhere then please provide some suggest

I tried to install drivers in my new pc and I almost did. But I can not find the driver HUB USB 3.0 (that is listed as "unknown device").

Another problem in the function keys. They do not work. So I need to install the driver of access keys

I have tried many on the internet until now, I can't able to find drivers for my computer so please suggest a useful site to download the two drivers.

    Hello:

For the question USB 3, download, unzip and run the file setup.exe from the link below.

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/22824/USB-3-0-driver-Intel-USB-3-0-Extensible-host-controller-driver-for-Intel-8-9-100-series-and-Intel-C220-C610-chipset-family?product=65855

See if installing this software gets the Fn keys to work.

This package contains the HP System Event Utility, which allows the special function keys on the laptop to program models. For example, HP System Event Utility allows users to press the Fn + ESC keys to view system information. This package is provided for the supported models running a supported operating system.

In my view, this question must be sent to Belkin. AFAIK for maximum performance, computer system, peripheral and software must all support Hi-Speed USB.

  • Satellite A100: Parallel Port to USB with Vista printing error

I have a new laptop Toshiba A100 with Windows Vista installed. I can't make my printer A3 HP works via USB with a USB/parallel cable.

Vista recognizes the connection and says driver installed. Try to print, and it just says: "error" Vista will not let me load the driver supplied with the connecting cable. Anyone got a solution for this?

    Hello

Are you sure that the driver that came with the connection cable was designed for Windows Vista?
I assume that the driver is compatible with early versions of Windows like XP.

  • PCAN USB with NI-CAN adapter

    Hello

I intend to communicate that LabVIEW with a controller to motor through the CAN network by using an adapter USB-PCAN system Peak. I wanted to know if NI-CAN be able to send and receive commands through devices that are not National Instrument (in this case, it will be the USB PCAN-adapter of the system Peak). Can anyone who knows something about this topic help out me please?

We used the PCAN USB with the LabVIEW RIDGE driver provide. I don't think you can use NI-CAN or NOR-XNET to talk directly to the network using the PCAN USB CAN but we use the conversion functions of NI-XNET to convert between the CAN messages and signal/data value and vice versa, and then use the driver PCAN LabVIEW for read/write messages.
