Satelite C50 - B cannot connect to wireless local area network

My brand new straight out of the box Satelite C50 - B cannot connect to my wireless network, when you are running Windows 8.1.

When you run the wizard for the first time user, it was unable to connect to my network to register. And I have been unable to connect after starting the OS, even if my thread was visible and the signal strength would be strong. I entered the security network key, but the message came back "unable to connect to this network.

However, when I started on a USB key to run Linux Mint 17.1, it took less than 5 seconds to connect to my wireless network. If the Toshiba hardware work properly, as also my wireless LAN.

If I plug in a network cable, same Windows connects to my network and Internet.

However, given that the C50 - B satellite comes with Windows 8.1 both of wireless capabilities, I was hoping someone here might be able to help me get a wireless connection in Windows.

It's really strange. I have S50 - B and WLAN works properly. I used my laptop connected to several different networks and everything was OK.
You can try to test with different wireless LANs?
Have you checked all the WLAN settings?
Try restarting your router.

I mean if your laptop can detect WLAN, this means that the hardware is enabled and working properly. There must be a problem with the WLAN settings.

Also check the advanced power settings, and then set it to maximum power WLAN.

Anyway the same answer applies: update WiFi driver that something has probably
He touched. Make sure that the wireless device is turned on, if there is a switch on the computer.
Many Toshiba have a WiFi switch on the front or side.

Update the driver WiFi, use the wired (NIC) to download the driver or do it on another
system and your transfer on removable media such as CD, DVD or a USB key.

Control Panel - device - network - WiFi note the brand manager and full
model information - double click - writing tab Drivers version - then power management tab uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device...". »

Then on the tab driver, click Update driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind
drivers of certification) - then right click on the device - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will
    update the driver stack.

Go to system Maker and search for the WiFi Driver updated - download - SAVE - go to
where you put it - make a right click on it - RUN AS ADMIN - REBOOT

Then go to the site of the manufacturer of the device and get even more recent (Realtek, Intel, or one that makes
the device) and try the install again.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Hi, my question is about how to allow access to a local area network behind the cisco vpn client

    With the help of:

    • Cisco 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) that is running version 8.2 software
    • Cisco VPN Client version 5.0 software

Cisco VPN client allows to inject a local routes in the routing table Cisco ASA?

    Thank you.

    Hi Vladimir,.

Unfortunately this is not a supported feature if you connect through the VPN Client. With VPN Client, that the VPN Client can access the VPN Client LAN host/local machine, not host from the local network to business as customer VPN is not designed for access from the local company network, but to the local corporate network.

If you want to access from your local business to your LAN network, you need to configure LAN-to-LAN tunnel.

  • Satellite A505 - sees, but cannot connect to, Wireless Router Win7

I have a laptop Toshiba A505-S6980 running the 64 bit version of Windows 7.

It worked fine a few months previously, to connect wireless to my O2 2 wireless router (the notebook has a REALTEK RTL8191SE wireless card).

I also have a desktop running XP computer that I use to connect to the same router. While on the desktop, I noticed several weeks ago that the router has been implemented with no WPA and WEP security, so I decided to change the router to WPA. The desktop PC was fine with this, but the laptop complained and wouldn't connect, failure of authentication and just stating "unable to connect to xxxxx". At the time I assumed it just couldn't handle the WPA authentication for some reason any and decided that I would probably turn to WEP to a later date to make it work again. At some point, I remove a ' O2 Connection Manager ", which had been installed when I bought a 3G dongle O2, where he has confused the issue, but it made no difference. In the meantime, I tried to connect the laptop using a wired connection and worked well.

I now (a few weeks later) decided that I wanted to use the wireless laptop then redefine the router to WEP expect this to work, but it didn't. As with WPA, he did not get past authentication when I put the key to security in. So, I try to understand the problem...

    What happens;

    (1) the wireless laptop sees my router (and neighbors), but just cannot connect.

    (2) I can connect with a laptop computer on the same USB wireless adapter.

    (3) I can connect the laptop to the router using a wired connection, and there is no problem.

    (4) my desktop running XP computer can connect to the router as WEP or WPA Wireless if the router is ok.

    (5) this worked several weeks ago!

    What I've tried;

    (1) I have installed the latest REALTEK RTK8191SE driver.

    (2) I tried to disable the security on the router, no joy.

    (3) I deleted all the profiles of network on the laptop.

    (4) I have tried with Norton antivirus and firewall disabled (but have not uninstalled) but no help.

    (5) I tried to do a restore of the system to the closest possible point and no help.

    (5) I uninstalled the wireless network adapter and its driver in Device Manager... Windows 7 can see the of it after a reboot and re - installed (using the old default driver), but it does not work. Then, I re-installed the latest version from REALTEK to ensure that it is up-to-date.

    What's weird is that

    (1) it works ok using the wireless USB adapter

    (2) the integrated REALTEK wireless adapter works to a point such that it can SEE my router, connect simply do not

    (3) authentication failure almost instantly

My suspicions are that an automatic update of Windows 7 or the O2 Connection Manager has somehow screwed it upward. I have uninstalled the O2 connection manager and tried to uninstall the automatic updates but there are many of them and I don't know how far back, I need to go. Also, because it authentication immediately, it seems that it is not giving him a chance to actually work.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can proceed or had a similar problem?

This is a really silly situation. In any case, I recommend you to use the Toshiba WLAN drivers only.
I put t know what Realtek module is inside but try please install driver WLAN http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads

All that you have done is logic and I think I will try the same thing.
Have you tried to connect to WEP or WPA is disabled? I mean free WLAN without protection.
Have you tried to connect your laptop to a friend's router?

I really put t know what is the problem here but there are a few bad setting it.

  • Post updated to SP3 and IE 8, some systems cannot connect to the local network

A number of machines on my LAN that have recently been fixed to the last State (installed XP SP3, IE 8 and all dry and updated crit) seemed to lose all capacity for networking.

    • I can ping Box B of area A.
    • I can connect on MEDIA sharing on box B of area A.
    • Area C (another system of Windows 7) I can connect to the B area and am presented with a box of authentication to connect to the shares (i.e., box B works as it should).

But the box has double clicking on box B or using \\computername or \\IP_Address the dialog box run, I get the error:

I know that the system is available, because the area C can access... But something's not on the box... It cannot connect to zone B or C. Box

I have disabled the firewall on both systems without result.

I reinstalled the network adapter and Client for Microsoft Networks is installed on the box.

Yet somehow box's not connection to other computers on the network.

Any thoughts on what I should check would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance for the help.

OK... so I was able to track down and get it fixed...

I found another symptom (that would be a good way to check and see if you experience the same problem).

In the network and sharing Center, I clicked on "Change advanced sharing settings" in the left column. I found that the radio button under "File and printer sharing" was put on the OFF position.  I started and saved the changes, but when I returned in these settings, it is once again in the off position.

It turned out that the workstation service is set to disabled (which also caused the computer browser service for not being able to boot). I activated the workstation service, started, and set it to automatic.  Then did the same for the computer browser service.

Both of these services running, the "File and printer sharing" it will remain actually on IT, and I am able to connect to other devices on the network in the way I had to.

I can't mark this message as the solution (perhaps because I posted it?) so if someone he will quote as their response to the post office, I'll be able to mark as answer.

  • question of vSwitch transmission of local area networks VIRTUAL VMWare ESXi, Vsphere 5.0 5.0

Having little experience VMware, I entrust the task to try to see why one of our VLAN does not work on one of our servers ESXi 5.0. I will try to be as descriptive as possible.

The issue began just after works well for months, when it started for starting and running config had not been updated for several weeks on the router and switch.

    Our server has 4 0 1 2 3 physical NICS

0 and 1 are associated together on VLAN1 and are also used for the management network

Map NETWORK 2 is used for 111 VLAN (network connect our wireless users to so that they cannot interact with VLAN1)

3 NIC is connected to the VLAN 66 (a network for video and deployment services)

These 4 physical network adapters is connected to three different vswitches as follows (I'm not the one who created these so don't ask why they are as they are)

    a vmnic0 and vmnic1 vSwitch0

    vSwitch1 has vmnic3

    vSwitch2 has vmnic2

All these ports are physically connected to a Dell PowerConnect 5548 switch

When I go into the properties vSwitch2 and go to VMKernel and try to set it to automatically get an IP address, I get a 169.254*. * address. There is no connection if I statically set the address of one knowledge is available yet. I'll add more information later if needed, I have a meeting in which concerns another project. Anyone who can help, thanks in advance. If you need specific information, I will answer as soon as POSSIBLE.

On the configuration under maps page network vmnic2 has no observed IP address ranges and I do not know how to change the nic to perhaps add the addresses

I would try to eliminate the physical NETWORK adapter on the host being the issue. Silly question, but is there a link light? Drop a sniffer out there and see if there is no traffic passing if trying a different physical nic does not help.
