Satellite L300-10 q - imposible to connect to wireless local area network

Bought a Satellite L-300-10 q and imposible to connect to the wireless LAN.

A message appears when you try to install the WIFI network:

"This WLAN device is disabled. Please activate the device. »

What can I do? Tried everything.

The message is clear to me;
It is said that the Wlan adapter is not enabled.

Activate the WLan WLan switch on the switch position. The LED must be on.
Press FN + F8 key until the WiFi network will be chosen.

This should help to enable the WLan feature

  • Satellite Pro L40 PSL43E: Unable to connect to wireless local area network

    Hello to everyone who reads,

I've had this laptop for about 12 months and a few days ago while trying to connect to the internet, she advised that I was not connected to my router.

I have another laptop, it connects well with wireless and it connects fine using the ethernet cable but wireless!
Especially, when I switch the radio power on/off using the small switch on the front the same symbol rises (the cell phone, red circle with a red slash through it, then the sign of the internet!)

I tried the update of the driver for the Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network wireless adapt and not much happened!

I'm not in portable computers in a big way so any advise given better would become simple?
I saw some stuff about the removal of the cards and other things? but I don't know where to start!

Is it a common thing with these laptops?
Need help please, I desperately need my laptop wireless.

Thanks a lot to all in advance

    Hello Paul

  • Satelite C50 - B cannot connect to wireless local area network

My brand new straight out of the box Satelite C50 - B cannot connect to my wireless network, when you are running Windows 8.1.

When you run the wizard for the first time user, it was unable to connect to my network to register. And I have been unable to connect after starting the OS, even if my thread was visible and the signal strength would be strong. I entered the security network key, but the message came back "unable to connect to this network.

However, when I started on a USB key to run Linux Mint 17.1, it took less than 5 seconds to connect to my wireless network. If the Toshiba hardware work properly, as also my wireless LAN.

If I plug in a network cable, same Windows connects to my network and Internet.

However, given that the C50 - B satellite comes with Windows 8.1 both of wireless capabilities, I was hoping someone here might be able to help me get a wireless connection in Windows.

It's really strange. I have S50 - B and WLAN works properly. I used my laptop connected to several different networks and everything was OK.
You can try to test with different wireless LANs?
Have you checked all the WLAN settings?
    Try restarting your router.

I mean if your laptop can detect WLAN, this means that the hardware is enabled and working properly. There must be a problem with the WLAN settings.

Also check the advanced power settings, and then set it to maximum power WLAN.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L300-29 X with a mini-VGA output and want to connect it to my TV, preferably by the DVI - I analog/digital double entry, but impossible to find a cable that will do it. Can someone point me in the right direction? I live in the United Kingdom and as such, have access to retailers based in the United Kingdom and do not want to pay the exorbitant costs to import from abroad.

As I know there is no analog/DVI adapter, DVI only of-analog adapters available.

  • Satellite Pro M70-132: excellent WiFi connection but the pings are slow

    Hi all...
My Satellite Pro M70-132 have problems with Wi - Fi connections (WiFi built in)... Generally, when the connection is excellent (indicator of windows), the pings are slow - very long time: 1212ms, 325ms, 645ms, 2112ms, 91ms, s 168ms... etc 'demand time limit has expired' (or sth like this).
I have updated with the latest version of the Intel WiFi driver - it does not work...
I installed new system - it does not work...

Is it possible, that LAN WiFi is dead on my M70-132? How can I check before sending my 'Toshi' to the service?

(BTW - built-in Bluetooth has been switched off...)

I was tempted to access with several AP and also ad hoc. Every time, same results... connection strong-great but pings are slow... and often ping timeout...

The IP address has been set manually and automatically - it does not work... too multidimensional :-(

It's not metter WEP encryption is enabled, 'on' or 'off' and no authentication method does not change the situation with WLAN...

    Hello

If the work of WLan connection and you are connected to the router so I guess everything's ok.
Time to ping depends on not always the strength of the signal.

If you ping other ip on the net if the time depends on the provider and type of connection.
But if you ping your WLan router and it s very slow so it s a bit strange.

If you think there could be something wrong with the Wlan card then you can try asking for help ASP.

  • Satellite A100 - 02 M: cannot open the local area network to share files and printer - LAN Unplugged

I have an office of another manufacturer which was connected by a wireless network via a Belkin router for a laptop another manufacturers - both running XP.

I have now replaced the other laptop with a laptop Toshiba Satellite A100 - 02 M under Vista Home Premium. Hello

    I have no general solution, but I'll try to give some advice solution;
If you want to connect laptop with LAN cable both please make sure that you use a crossover ethernet cable.
In addition, check if the network card is properly recognized in Device Manager.

You could try updating the LAN driver and remove the NIC in Device Manager to update the installed driver.
After restarting again the operating system should recognize the new (Lan) device and should install it automatically.

I also studied a bit in this forum and found a similar thread:

  • Connection problems on wide AREA network (3G or wireless remote)

    Hello.

I created a lab configuration on my esxi server running a windows 7 client and a server connection view - and it works absolutely flawlessly, when I'm at home - but I'd like to do a show at work but I am unable to do this without VPN is active on my iPad.

    I did the following

    (1) enabled "Use PCoIP Secure Gateway for connections to PCoIP desktop computers" on my login server

    (2) entered the external URL field above the box my WAN (public IP)

    (3) the forwarded port TCP/UDP - TCP 443 - 4172 80 TCP on the IP connection server internal

What could be wrong? Would it not possible to make this configuration without a security server?

I am getting the box to logon on the Ipad - and my powers are accepted - but still not able to access my computer from windows client

@chrmol - you did everything correctly and it should work fine with view 4.6

You have a dns name in the external field "url"?

You have a secure server Win 2008 R2 64-bit? (It is a requirement)

Make sure 4172 is open the UDP and TCP protocols between the internet and the connection to the server

  • Cannot connect by Satellite L300 wireless access point

I have a new laptop L300 & I can't connect to the laptop to my wireless access point. I have an another mobile E-sytems with the same hardware Realtek RTL8187B & it connects without problems.

The machine has the free two month Mcafee subscription & I have disabled all the protection incase that was causing the problem. I updated the driver for the wireless card & the bios on the Toshiba site, but nothing is.

Can someone shed light on this problem because the laptop is only two weeks old?

    Thank you...

    Hello

To connect the laptop to the WLan, it must ensure that everything is enabled and configured correctly.
    You should check these points:

-activated the WLan with the WLan switch and the FN + F8
-don t use any 3rd party config tools WLan if you use the WLan configuration options own Vista
-for the first test WLan disable the security settings of the Wlan router
-configure settings to laptop as good SSID and search for your wireless local area network
-After that the laptop is connected to the WLan router, you can turn back the security settings (encryption, mac address filtering, firewall, etc.)

  • Why Satellite L300-10 q does not recognize wireless network

This new laptop works well on a wired LAN but does not recognize a wireless local area network. Received the message no network found. In the same room with another PC laptop Toshiba the wireless LAN is located and has good signal strength.
The wireless LAN switch is on and the 'antenna' pictogram led burns red.

Seems that it is not configured for detection. No idea how to solve this problem?

    Hello

You´re sure you checked all THE settings? I mean, if the local wired network works and the wireless is enabled, you need to check all the parameters available that could be done. One idea would be to check the L300 on another access point to make sure that the problem persists on different brands of wireless routers.

Please check this first and make sure that your settings are all on "automatic" so if you do not find the reason, come back and we will try to find another solution.
